I have been going to see Monica Anderson at the Parlor Downtown for 3.5 years now. She has been my most consistent hair stylist ever and it’s because not only does she do a great job, but she is just a great person! I enjoy my time in her chair and the atmosphere of the salon. Monica is by far the best stylist I have been to in all the years of getting my hair done!! The first time I went to her she was able to correct my previous mistakes by other stylists just in time for my birthday! I have been blonde most my life and was thinking about doing a little red in there and told her to do what she wanted and she transformed my hair in the most amazing ways! I will forever be a red head now! I get compliments on my hair all the way up until the day before I go back because even when it fades it fades perfectly naturally! Love Monica and could not recommend her enough!!

I don’t go to see Monica solely because she is good at her job, I also go as she gives choice conversation that leaves me smiling and laughing the whole time. Monica is a very down to earth stylist, who looks out for her clients and actually cares and listens to what they want out of their hair.

Yesenia is amazing! I’ve only seen her once so far and I know I will continue going back to her. I’ve recently moved to Florida from Connecticut which meant I unfortunately had to leave my hairdresser of 10+ years. I had a specific formula and color in mind that I’ve been getting for about 7 years now and after going to a different salon where they did not listen to what I wanted and completely messed up the color in my hair, I found The Parlor Downtown and decided to give it a try. Yesenia is professional, friendly, and makes you feel comfortable in her chair. Most importantly she KNOWS color and she listens to what you want, asks questions, and does her best to make it happen. I left there feeling SO happy with my look and I can’t wait to go back when it’s time for a refresh!

Update! It’s been 3 years since I’ve started seeing Monica and it’s been nothing but amazing❤️ She is honest, dependable, talented and someone I truly call a friend. She is not only amazing at her job, but she is by far the easiest person to talk to. I walk out not only feeling beautiful on the outside but also on the inside.Monica is superb! She is very knowledgeable and spends the time needed to find the perfect fit for her clients. My hair was grown out because I haven’t found anyone in the area who could execute the cut usually have and she knocked it out of the park.

Monica at The Parlor Downtown is AMAZING and works magic with hair! Having blonde and naturally curly hair, Ive had my share of brassy tones and bad cuts in the past, but not with Monica. Ive been going to her for 7-8 years now and I have such confidence in her that I just go in now and tell her to do what she wants to do with it. She knows me well enough to know that I dont want a certain length, color, etc., but honest enough to make recommendations that will look good even if I dont have the vision for it. She is the best!!

I did a Keratin treatment with Monica. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Was it totally worth it? ABSOLUTELY! If you are on the fence about trying a keratin treatment, please do yourself a favor and just do it. I followed the easy instructions she gave me for after the treatment and I am loving my hair. I used to always wear my hair up and I am finding it’s down way more than it’s up. No frizz and so much easier to manage and style. Monica is the best.

The Parlor Downtown is an amazing hair salon. Not only do they have the best professional hair stylists, their prices are also very reasonable compared to other salons in the area. Yesenia has been taking care of my 3 daughters and my hair for 3 years and we hope she will be able to do our hair for the rest of our lives. She is amazing and skillful. And did I mention she is so sweet, always! The owner/manager of the salon is so very loving, kind, beautiful inside and out. She is the kind of person you look up to in life. I highly recommend Monica Anderson if you are looking for a stylist! I was recently a new client of hers and she was able to style my hair exactly the way I envisioned. I received a trim and style along with half foil highlights followed by a glaze. She took the time to listen to what I was (very poorly) trying to ask for and asked several questions before we got started. Afterward, I had several followup questions of my own regarding products that she was more than happy to answer and pointed me in the right direction. She is such an outgoing and energetic person who is clearly skilled and passionate about what she does, you will not be disappointed!

The girls at The Parlor Downtown recently did my bridal hair AND they did wedding hair for all six of my bridesmaids, my mom, stepmom, mother-in-law, and flower girl in one morning! They graciously opened up early to make sure there was plenty of time to get everyone done, and they were happy to do super quick touchups as we were all walking out the door. Everyones hair turned out beautiful, but I especially loved my moms. As for my hair, Stephanie is my favorite hair stylist of life - she absolutely nailed my dream wedding hair which was a romantic, flow-y low bun style with multiple braids and lots of waves. It was so beautiful!!! She stuck it out with me during my trial until we found the style I was going for (I am a bit of a perfectionist), and then she recreated the look flawlessly on the big day. If you are looking for somewhere to get your wedding hair done, dont look any further than The Parlor Downtown. I cant recommend them highly enough!!!
