I love this place! Crissi was the curly hair stylist that took amazing care of me. I’m really picky about who cuts my hair. But she did the best job! Really listened to what I wanted, offered tips for my curls along the way, I love my style and it’s super healthy now. Will be back! ALL of the staff and stylists are amazing. Justina is an amazing hair colorist! She transformed my hair into this gorgeous red that is not only vibrant and dimensional but is also in extremely healthy shape!! She not only matched the reference photo I showed her, but she made it look even better than I could’ve wanted! A true master of her craft!! I’ve never colored my hair before and now I can’t imagine going back to my natural hair tone!! I highly recommend visiting Justina if you’re in Miami!! I had the pleasure of having Eddie as my hairstylist, and he did an amazing job. With my thin and fine hair, its always a challenge to get a good haircut, but Eddie listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. The service cost $160 (plus tip, close to $200 dollars) for a haircut, treatment on my ends, blowout and styling, truly worth every penny! Which by the way they tell you the price right up front so no surprises. I already booked my touch-up appointment with Eddie and highly recommend him for anyone with thin and fine hair!

This was my first time at the salon. I selected the salon after reading extensive reviews and following posts on IG of the various stylists. My experience confirms why the reviews are consistent!Everyone was very nice. My appointment was scheduled with Jorge. He took his time listening to what I was looking for, my hair condition, his suggestions, and how to best accomplish it. The outcome on the color and style was exactly what I was looking for, and my hair is actually healthy! Im so happy!

I can not rave about this place enough. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming. The first thing I loved is that I was able to have a consultation so Aldo and I could discuss my options after needing my hair fixed. Aldo restored my confidence. He is so skilled and has amazing customer service. I will be returning and would recommend the salon and Aldo to anyone looking for a professional hair stylist with years of experience and knowledge!

When I went in, I told them I wanted a honey-brown color with well-defined money pieces in the front. I was told we could do this, and a price was shared with me which included this and a cut and style with blowdry. In my opinion, the end result is very streaky and more of a traditional highlight than the blend that was promised, and the front blends into the rest of my hair. It came out quite warm and yellow, which I was told was because of previous color. I wish a better attempt was made to tone this. I was able to tone it a bit with Olaplex at home before coming into work, since it was overly warm and clashed with my natural hair. I included pictures of what I got vs the picture I showed for what I wanted. Besides the color and placement being off, they insisted on cutting the very tips of my hair and I left the salon with damp hair ( I was charged the full amount for a haircut and blowdry styling).Update: I spoke with the very kind owner of the salon, and she offered to fix my hair as a complimentary service. She scheduled me with Justina, and I can confidently say that she did an AMAZING job!!! Ever since then, I have received countless compliments on my new hair.

Andrea is extremely knowledgeable in hair health and able to teach you about your specific hair needs to prepare you for your hair goals. Zasil is so welcoming and kind as well. Can’t stop speaking about how happy I am to have gone.

Anthony is AMAZING! Saved my hair! He is an absolute professional stylist. This was a planned by my boyfriend apt as a Mother’s Day surprise. I was completely in the blind about where I was going or what I was going to be doing. When I got there I must say I was scared because I have trust issues with letting just anyone touch my hair. But as I walked in the the ladies at the counter welcomed me like if I was royalty. They knew who I was due to my boyfriend calling and making this a big deal event for me. They quickly took me back to introduce me to my stylist Jaime. She also brought me a glass of white wine since my boyfriend had mentioned how much I like wine to relax. I must say between the welcoming and the glass of wine I was starting to feel at home and I was getting less anxious. Well let me tell you about Jaime. He is amazing!!! He was so accommodating, showed me colors and suggested what he as a professional thought would work best for me. FYI I hadn’t done my hair in over a year and a half. I was a hot mess! So Jaime quickly got to doing his magic and did my hair from start to finish. He took his time doing my balayage. He cut my hair, colored it, washed it and styled it all himself. He did not send me off to anyone else took care of me himself, I loved that!!! Well I had told him no one ever got the color I wanted correct and my hair always ended up being yellowish. He went above and beyond to make my hair exactly what I wanted. I love my hair truly an out of this world experience. I was so happy with my finished hair I almost cried on the phone with my boyfriend. After I was finished they made me feel like a super model and took pictures of me with my new look. I would totally recommend this salon and Jaime any day. I was 100% fully satisfied with my hair.

I have had very bad experiences with salons not listening to me and destroying my hair and I had not been to a salon in about 7 years. Marcelo took the time to listen and set expectations. Took me a month to write a review, sorry! I came here after an extremely bad dye job at another salon six months prior had left my hair in an extremely bad shape and me feeling very scared and jumpy about any kind of salon. I had been looking for salons for months trying to find somewhere that could fix it and I saw this place near to my house and decided to give it a try. Walked in and everyone was so nice and attentive. To reassure my nerves Christine suggested I do a consultation with Jorge who would be my stylist before the actual appointment. Everything went wonderfully and I really appreciate the way they tell you how much the services will cost upfront instead of letting you guess at the end. My actual appointment was so enjoyable; they have a selection of drinks available for you to sip while you wait but I didnt have to wait long at all! Jorge was extremely knowledgeable in color and specializes in ginger/copper which is what I wanted. Leonardo was also super attentive when washing and styling my hair. And my hair came out great! It was an ugly faded green at the tips and they managed to even it out to this beautiful ginger color!! It is a bit pricey but to soothe my fears I was willing to pay a little more, and the price does reflect the amazing service and attention you receive at this salon. I will be coming back!! My daughter has wanted to have balayage done on her hair for a few years now. I was very hesitant to have her do this hair treatment since she has Virgin hair. Marcelo was recommended by a friend. Her hair came out beautiful and just how she envisioned it. He took the time to talk to her and see what her vision for her hair was and helped her make the right decision based on her hair type and the fact that it had never been treated. He was very patient and explained the process with her. The final result was beautiful and he also explained to her how to take care of her hair so it would last and not dry out or loose it’s color. Im glad that I waited! Upon further investigation, Jays Instagram account of his coloring, cutting, and styling skills sold me to make an appointment with him.All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. I could clearly see the great communication and teamwork they all shared. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Jay. He is very sweet and friendly and made sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted. He prioritized my comfort and ensured that I had the best salon experience possible. Jay is incredibly talented and professional. In previous experiences at other salons, I was rushed off or passed on to other stylists so the stylist could tend to their next appointment. I did not experience this with Jay. He was present and focused on achieving the perfect color and style from the initial consultation to the final pictures.I will definitely be returning to this salon for future services and products. Justina is a truly amazing colorist. I was thrilled when I moved from San Francisco to Miami and found out my colorist was moving as well. It’s been 4 years and I would never have another person touch my hair. I have super fine, long hair that is very hard to apply color to in a way that looks natural. I have gone from a full blond to highlights, painting and toning. Lately, Justina has brought me from various shades of blond back to my natural color but better. It’s everything I always wanted my natural hair to look like but with depth and light in the most flattering places. She paints my hair with the most beautiful natural looking result. She has always heard my preferences and guided me in adding color and extensions. She is a master of applying color and I have been thrilled with each application. I have never left unhappy and have recommended her to many different people with various hair textures who have always reported that she really is that good.

I had the most amazing highlights and balayage done by Anthony! I was previously on the hunt for the best balayage I could find, as I had so many inconsistent experiences with other top salons that would do either great work, then the next time be careless and do terrible work, and even severely damaged my hair and I lost all my length. We all know it can be very scary to blindly search for a dream hair stylist because it can go so badly, so I did SO much due diligence through reviews and pictures, even their instagrams... to finally see consistency in matching what I wanted for myself.I saw the most perfect, beautiful blonde highlights, blending, placement, and tone pictures....constantly coming from reviews about Anthony! I decided I was ready to take my leap of faith and called the Avant Garde salon and was able to schedule an appointment with him. Honestly the ease of the scheduling and their professionalism was a breathe of fresh air as some of the most high end stylists in this area are so difficult to get responses from or book in a reasonable time frame.Anthony was more than I could have hoped for, not only was his skill level and artistry level beyond exceptional, his personality and care is off the charts. He put a lot of time and energy into studying the pictures and knowing exactly what I wanted, and making sure he delivered it. He even noted how my curls forms and did highlights tailoring to them too. He is the opposite of that uncaring, snobby, rushing, gossipy, Ill do it how I feel like it stylist that sometimes we can dread being in their chair, and feel nervous about what results you end up with. He makes it all pleasant and caring, while giving the best results you can find in the industry. Trust me Ive looked! Honestly other salons charge over $700 for the results I saw him give, because of the level of skill and the time he puts into it. So he is a real gem.Im literally writing this review over 6 months after our appointment because I never write reviews, I forget...Im terrible! But I HAD to finally do this one, and now I can ALSO validate that because his coloring was so amazingly blended, its looking just as fantastic growing out and looking natural 6 months later, I still get tons of compliments on it!Thank you Anthony! Great hair stylists but expect to dish out $300-400 for color, cut and blow dry. They’re not very efficient . I find myself waiting around a lot in between my wash , cut and blow dry since they over book and a stylist is attending to two costumers at one time. The Sunkist are great here but for the cost, the customer service is not very good

Best hair salon in Miami! Jorge really took care of me and exceeded my expectations. First we had a consultation and he walked me through my hair type and the color I wanted to do for a Balyage/with highlights. He was able to fit me in on the same day and really took his time with it. I was there from about 11am to 3pm. I’m super happy with the final look and service of this salon. This is now my primary salon and going back here every time I need to prime/blow out or even re-color. Thanks Jorge!

So I did a lot of research before finding this salon and selecting my hair colorist. This was my first ever experience with highlights and gloss. I was super nervous going in because I had no idea what to expect, but Fabian and his team put my mind at ease right away! He was kind enough to walk me through the entire process and give me helpful tips along the way as well as specific tips for my hair type. I have naturally straight, full, silky fine hair texture that I have always found difficult to manage. Although I rarely have volume or body, Fabian was able to give me the beautiful voluminous textured hair of my dreams. He made sure that I remained comfortable throughout the entire experience and his team was so gentle and friendly when dealing with my hair, I knew that I had made the right decision by coming here! I loved the results and felt like myself but with bouncier, fuller, better shaped hair. Thank you to this amazing salon. Tip: I didn’t want to pay $165 for a haircut because my hair is so easy to cut. I chose to skip the blow dry/styling and washing and came to the appointment with my hair clean. They only charged me $100 for the haircut. Good tip if you’re on a budget and just need a trim!

Today I had the wonderful experience of having my hair done at Avant-Garde Salon by Anthony. My hair has been previously bleached and dyed, so the ends of my hair had lightened quite a bit over the summer, since I last dyed it darker in March (as you can see in the photo). I had an appointment with Anthony for an all over color, haircut, and a blow dry. Anthony exceeded all my expectations with the color of my hair! Its a rich dark brown but not black, exactly what I asked for (pictured). Having suffered a pretty poor haircut prior to my appointment, Anthony saved my hair with a long layered cut that gave body to my limp hair with face framing pieces. I love Anthony and Avant-garde and will definitely be back!

After a year of searching for the right salon, and not letting anyone touch my hair for fear of the results, I have finally found my new hairdresser and salonI absolutely love my hair Juan, my hairdresser, was a doll! He made me feel comfortable right from the start. He took his time during our consultation to make sure he understood what I wanted and what I like. He also explained everything to me along the way. I also appreciated the form I had to sign at the beginning detailing the cost of all the services I was going to have... Many times its not until the end that you find out the damage But I feel that letting clients know upfront prevents any issues or surprises from arising later on.I must also mention Leo. He washed the dye out of my hair. His scalp massage was amazing as well as his attention to detail! I noticed he was very careful not to soak my face with water or hike rinsing it and gently removed any stains the dye left around the scalp area.On multiple occasions various staff members offered me something to drink. I absolutely love this place! I have been here a couple of times to do big jobs like bleaching and balayages but I have recently decided to fully switch to them after this amazing experience. I went to them because I had gotten a botched hair cut somewhere else and wanted to fix it. Yasel was available last minute and he was so attentive, understanding, and knowledgeable. He was quick but thorough and saved my hair like a true expert. I went in with my hair choppy and in layers that looked terrible but in the end he had me with cute and flirty curls that highlighted my hair in the best way possible. Moving from NYC to Miami I was worried about finding my go to place for my hair. I tried a few places in the area and this is by far my favorite salon. Marcelo has been doing my hair extensions and color for about a year and a half and he is amazing. He really is an artist! He cares about not only making your hair look absolutely gorgeous, but also the overall health of your hair as well. My hair even without the extensions in is the longest it’s ever been. Alex does my keratin and does such a great job. He is also such a pleasure to chat with. The time always flies when he is doing my hair. Same with many of the other people that work there. Andrea frequently blows out and styles my hair and she is so fun to sit and chat with. I love how she styles my hair. Evelyn does my eyebrows and does a great job. Christine and everyone at the front desk are always accommodating and professional. I could go on naming other amazing staff at the salon, but it is a long list. I can not say enough great things about this salon. The prices aren’t cheap, but they are fair and trust me they do a phenomenal job and well worth the money!

She gave me great hair advice as well.The intern (I did not get her name, taller, slimmer girl) was amazing. She literally gave me a head and neck massage at the sink.To top it off, Gio and his amazing energy gave me a beautiful haircut along with samples of products he recommends!Everything was amazing. Your salon is by far the best I have been to in Miami (and trust me, I’ve been to many). From the ambience to the services, everyone went above and beyond. I cannot wait to come back!

The hairdresser did a good job, but he was also so harsh. I ended up losing so much more hair than I planned to. He pulled my hair, he didn’t care about being careful with mini-knots. When it came to styling my hair, I asked for wavy hair. He used too high of a temperature for the curler. He also almost burned the skin on the back of my head. I ended up smelling like burned hair all day today. The result was amazing, but I doubt I will come back. Very sad, because I remember my first time in this salon wasn’t as bad as this one.

By far I have to say my experience work Avant Garde was one of the best I’ve had in a salon -Jay was amazing professional and very talented .. my daughter and I did did our hair and make up for a wedding and wow ! They have an excellent staff - the good vibes are felt when you first walked in . I alsodid a blow dry with Esteban who was excellent with a great disposition and professional . Thank you and the team for the great experience !!

My hair had become yellow after a previous coloring session at another salon. I needed to get it toned in a pinch! I called And was able to book with Anthony same day for a tone! I am in LOVE with the results!! Very grateful he was able to see me in such short notice And he was extremely professional and kind throughout my time at the salon. My hair is exactly how I originally wanted it. I highly recommend this salon, especially Anthony!!

My absolute go-to salon always 10/10!!! Ask for Anthony, he works MAGIC. My hair has never looked better, so much dimension, long layers, rich color, he truly always gets it so perfect. It is so hard to find a stylist that knows what you need and understands the vision you want, Anthony is the one you need. My blowouts are always impeccable, 15 mins and its amazing. Always on time and walk out feeling and looking brand new!! Trust when I say i highly highly recommend his work. The salon itself is such a great vibe, good music, such wonderful attention to detail, and great people. So lucky to have found Avant-Garde and Anthony!! :)

This salon was absolutely wonderful. Marilyn was so lovely and nice; she matched me with Paola who was equally great and professional. She sat down with me and helped me pick out the right style and color for me. She explained everything to me and was so friendly. I loved how everything turned out and couldnt be happier! 😊 I cant wait to go back for my touch-up, this is a look I definitely want to keep up with!

I was referred to Alex for his expertise with textured bobs - my stylist of 20 years retired and I have been struggling to find a worthy replacement. Today my luck changed - from the moment I walked in I was greeted promptly and warmly by the staff. You can tell everyone is service focused and loves what they do. I met Alex and we chatted a bit about my concerns - he listened and offered various solutions - I put myself in his glorious hands and am extremely happy with the end result. This salon is amazing, from staff to services. I was treated as though I was their most important customer. I came to this shop with what I thought was a problem that couldn’t be fixed. The receptionist listen to me and said don’t worry we have a stylist that specializes in fixing color. The salon is fantastic with teamwork. Your never just sitting there waiting, someone always checks to make sure you’re comfortable asking if you need a drink.The atmosphere is vibrant I loved it.Elena was my stylist she is a great artist she is knowledgeable, talented and has empathy for people. I didn’t even have a picture of what I looked like before my disastrous experience with another salon.But I left Avant-garde Salon with my hair back to normal and it looked better than it’s looked in years.They specialize in every service imaginable. I will never go anywhere else in Miami.
