Mrs. Rosie is an excellent teacher who is very hand on and the staff are all very sweet and welcoming.     I came to hyphen in hopes of learning different methods of nail applications, and I was not disappointed. Mrs. Rosie, my instructor, is one of the most upbeat, charismatic and real persons Ive met. Shes helped each one of us improve with useful critical feedback and demonstrations. Overall Im very satisfied with how fast the program was, with all the wonderful people I got to know and how much Ive learned and am still learning.

    I just graduated from Hyphen Beauty School. It was a great experience and I learned a lot. Mrs. Rosie is an amazing teacher, she is hands on and helped me and my classmates achieved our goals in great timing. Mrs. Rosie has a lot of experience in nails, she’s very patient at teaching and making sure we do things right and well. I’m lucky to have her as a teacher. Ms. Gladys was great as well.     I graduated from the nail technician course. The teachers are wonderful people! Ms.Karla made every day bright! Ms.Rosie was very detailed and goes above and beyond with helping and guiding each student! I love how she not only just teaches, but actually has so much genuine passion and love for nails and helping people, and being an inspiration and role model for us! With the short time of her there she helped me improve my acrylic with one on one training and gives us advice for our future career from her experience. Im so glad I met her, she is amazing! Im so glad I went to this school my whole class was so nice, and supportive and positive atmosphere.

    I recently completed my Nail Specialist with Rosie, and she was amazing! She taught with so much care and gave me personalized, hands-on lessons. I started with no experience, but she made everything easy to understand and even guided me on how to grow in my career.     I attended nail school and received my nail technician license in less than 3 months. ms. karla was my teacher and she was very knowledgeable on nails and a talented artist. she wasnt a helicopter teacher, and was willing to help critique form whenever help was needed. i also had mrs. rosie for a few classes who is also a nail teacher. she is so supportive and such a joy to be around, she knows her stuff for sure!! both teachers are so amazing and i had a really fun time in school and im gonna miss everything so much!!

    Just finished my nail class and Ms.Karla was the best teacher ever. Funny, helpful, smart (I could go on), she truly made the experience so much better. Truly grateful for her and all the help she gave me throughout the time I spent here. Definitely recommend to have her a teacher. Going to miss her! Mrs. Gladys was also so sweet and helpful too.

    My experience with Miss Cathy, as my teacher was more than educating, She was insightful, she was passionate, she would bring in her own supplies if needed! She never left us with any questions. She went above and beyond when it came to hands on training, and the dedication she has for theory was very passionate. We would really enjoy the days that we would talk about the quiz that we took or to discuss the chapters! She would really dive into it! It was an amazing experience at the school, great people, great staff!

    My experience here was amazing, and I give all thanks and credit to Ms.Aileen. She was my instructor and went above and beyond showing techniques and ways to be successful once you leave the building and start your career. I would only recommend her and I would do the class over with her a million times if I could. She does not refrain from helping her students and always going the extra mile.     Im a licensed cosmetologist graduated from this school. Very good school and teachers. Mrs Talisa was my teacher, and after having a couple of them I’m very glad the chose her. Talisa is very creative and emphatic, translates the class simultaneously, takes time to explain it does not matter how many times until the student has got it. Her dedication and work ethics inspired me to finish, believe in myself. She is the kind, noble, very profesional, and the best part is that she wants you to succeed.     I’m in the esthetics program. I’ve been at the school for two weeks and it feels like it’s been months because the amount of information I have received so far. What I like the most is that our classes are hands on and interactive. My group is supportive and I think everything is going very well because we have great teacher, Mrs. Null. She’s very open and engaging with the class, easy to communicate with and professional.

    I’ve been to a few beauty schools and if I could recommend any school for nails it would be this one. Not because of the school itself, but because of the amazing, selfless, bright, outgoing, spunky, hardworking, and most caring teacher I’ve met, Ms. Denise. She’s a hands on teacher and is right beside you every step of the way. The relationships I’ve seen she has formed with not only myself, but with every one of her students is like family. You step into her room and any stress, anxiety, etc. you’ve been feeling goes away because of the environment she’s made her room to be. Make sure you request to be in her class!Now the schools itself is a whole other story. It’s a mess. They charged me for a nail kit where we had to throw out half the stuff because it was expired. I had an incident where the owner changed the rules for services as a student. We had to pay full price and we’re told to clock out when the service was being done. So I had clocked out and clocked back in when I was done so I could continue with my schooling (since it’s 12 hour days).The next day I walk into the school, no hi or good morning just instantly starts accusing me of something that had not happened. When they were proven wrong they still did not apologize and tried to justify their actions.All I can say is Ms. Denise made this whole experience worth it. All those 12 hour days and now I’m finally graduating and it wouldn’t be possible without her undying support.❣️

    I was so hesitant to go to this school not going to lie, I heard many things not just about this school but about esthetics schools in general. Many people said I wouldn’t find an instructor who actually taught & cared about our education but boy did I get lucky!Ms. Sasha was 100/10! Besides actually teaching us useful lessons, she was super hands on, patient & caring for each of us! She made sure we understood everything she taught us & never let us feel unheard!     Im close to graduation and Im extremely happy with the choice I made for this school. Our teacher, miss Sasha is experienced and knowledgeable, she is very passionate and always going above and beyond to help her students learn as much as possible and get all the experience. She is also strict in regards to sanitation protocols and showing up for classes on time and not missing any hours (but also understanding if you need to accommodate the schedule, as long as you make up the hours), so rest assure that upon graduation you will be fully ready to start a career on your own with confidence or even working at a established salon where people will trust you in everything and refer you to others. Im sincerely grateful for the teacher we got and I highly recommend Hollywood Beauty Academy if you want to get the best education and hands on training right way.

    Loved my experience at this school. When I had my tour with Ms Jimena, I knew I would love it. She did a great job at introducing me to everything and making me feel comfortable. The girls I met were amazing and the sense of camaraderie was another aspect I really appreciated. They have all the equipment you need to practice facial procedures and the people are so nice I stayed busy the entire time I was there, it’s important that you use the study materials, online, textbook resources & the pro site they provide because it goes by so fast ! I’m excited to start my new journey as an esthetician and I think this school prepared me well.

    I’m going to leave this 5 stars but would probably give it 4.5 stars if I could. I attended the school for the cosmetology program which is almost a year long full-time.Overall my experience was very good; the instructor Talisa is literally incredible. She is so genuine and warm, offers kind but constructive feedback, and is happy to guide you in any projects you take on. My experience with the school would have been VASTLY different without her. She is truly one of a kind, and I hope we stay friends forever.The school has undergone a lot of changes and enhancements since my enrollment which was nice to see, but definitely still has some room to grow to look like a clean and polished school setting. Basic things like hair washing bowls or washing machines were in need of repair or replacement for the entirety of my enrollment. However, the owners are both very nice and approachable, and the school was a HUGE project when they acquired it so I know they are facing quite a few challenges. Other reviews said they aren’t nice or didn’t introduce themselves but that hasn’t been my experience. I know they are also working getting the school accredited which will be a wonderful resource for future student seeking to use aid.Administration went through a big change about halfway through my enrollment (miss you Ms. Jacky!) and I think still experiencing some growing pains. It took their admin several weeks to submit my paperwork to the state so I could take my licensing exam “to ensure everything was accurate” but then submitted my birthday wrong to the state (which is a fun licensing thing I’m now unscrambling) as well as registered me with Pearson who administer the licensing exams under their own email but then didn’t give me a password. I think I may have been one of the first they had to submit after the changeover which is likely where the confusion came from, and hope it’s going smoother now.All in all though my experience was very positive. It definitely requires you to be more of a self starter than schools with more regimented programs like Paul Mitchell or Aveda, but my class of girls was really lovely, it was a warm and welcoming group to spend so much time with, and everyone was so encouraging of each other’s growth. From pot lucks to baby showers to make up contests to conventions to salon visits, we always had something fun to look forward to, and as I mentioned already, the instructor Talisa is truly one in a million. For the price point, you really cannot beat it (1/3 of big name schools).I am now working in a high end salon in Orlando as an assistant/apprentice, and feel the school gave me the foundation to take this step into the beauty industry. I am proud of have attended HBA, and can’t wait to see what the school looks like as the owners make more improvements and get accreditation. I would 100% enroll again.

    I am so ecstatic that I chose to come to this Beauty School in Orlando rather than going to school in Lakeland where I actually live. The admissions representative, Ximena is so outgoing and very helpful, she makes you feel very welcome and at home. The nail instructor (Lola) is very knowledgeable and helps you with not Only the education aspect of nails but she also helps with hands on application of all the up to nail enhancements. The instructor for hair Talisa is also very nice and knowledgeable. Her students actually colored my hair and treated it.     Just finished my course with Hollywood Academy and Ms.Victoria was an amazing teacher and taught me so much. The school had some issues during my time there with supplies and I felt for the price a lot more could have been included in my kit but overall Ms. Victoria was beyond an amazing teacher and if not for her I wouldn’t have the knowledge I have today.

    My review is for Ms Suzy, an excellent skin care instructor, very detailed and professional. I can say I have learned more in three weeks with Ms Susy then I have in a little over three months I have been in this class. I can not express enough how grateful I am for having her currently as my instructor. She gave me the hope I lost, she made me regain the passion to do this class. It is clearly noticeable the empathy and tenacity she applies to this class, I appreciate care & understanding she has for all of us, she takes care of our concerns. Answer any doubts I have and makes sure to monitor anything I am not sure I can do alone. I wish I can continue my education with Ms Susy in the coming years of given the chance. She is most certainly an asset to the school, and an exceptional instructor. I rate her a 10 out of 10 plus more. Thank you again Ms Susy.

    I was a client of a friend who is a student at the academy. I was invited to a facial with no expectations of care. But, was my mind blown when walking in those doors! I was greeted by so many smiling faces and a pleasant atmosphere. As I received my facial, the instructors came over numerous times to ensure the accuracy of the procedures and instill confidence in the student. This academy may be an atmosphere of learning, but it overflows with high-end professionalism. The students are bright, warm, and eager to learn. The staff was sweet, assertive, and knowledgeable. I would 100% go back!

    I am a current student at this school In the esthetics program. The teachers here are really good. And the environment in the school is really good as well. I recently had a new teacher substitute for my class who is going to be new in the facility teaching on Fridays and Saturdays. Her name is Mrs.Fallon and she was a great teacher I loved her perspective on everything she was teaching us and the way she made everyone feel so confident in what they were doing. And talked about how she started out and what got her to get so far with her business. I wish her classes were on Monday and Tuesday i would love to be apart of it. I also love the nail class teacher Ms.ana she is very helpful as she is also fully licensed in esthetics. And she motivates me to get my work done and also encouraged me to look into getting into the nail course.

    I am currently enrolled in the Skincare / facial specialist program here at Hollywood Beauty Academy. I’ve been here for a little over three months now and I have honestly had the best experience I could have asked for. My instructor is Miss. Victoria and she’s not only an incredible esthetics instructor but also a great life mentor. Not only because of her years of experience in the esthetics field but as well as her ability to teach any kind of student at any pace they need. She gives unbiased, realistic advice all while maintaining our own independence. Its overall a very hands-on program. Although the program feels short, I feel as if I’ve learned so much within my time here. It is located in a plaza and it may appear a little hidden or small but don’t overlook it. I don’t have any regrets choosing this school as a place to enhance my education and have made many unexpected friendships along the way.

    I’ve been attending this school for 2 months now. I am currently enrolled in the skin care program. My instructor is Fallen. She’s been all of a blessing to myself and the other Estheticians in the class. This school makes me feel like I am in a spa already. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. The school is clean and the students are talented. I’ve got my hair done, received facials and bacials (back facial) already and oh I’m getting a pedicure next 😅. The students are bomb and have done an exceptional job with the services I’ve gotten so far. The support is at an all time high. If I could recommend any school it would be Holly Wood Beauty Academy hands down. This schools is affordable and the instructors are all super knowledgeable. (Especially Fallen, she has such a unique Spirit; her approach is always gentle and kind making sure we understand what’s expected to become the best Esthetician that we can be).

    I currently take the cosmetology course and I fall in love with it more and more everyday. Our teacher miss Talisa is so kind and nurturing to each of our downfalls. She is able to teach in both Spanish and English and makes it make sense to all of us. Ive gotten to get to know a few of the other instructors as well for the esthetician course and they are also very kind and always willing to teach and learn.The cosmetology course comes with a very basic kit. Just what you need for the course and a tote to carry it in. Be prepared to upgrade that tote and some of the appliances such as the blow dryer and straightener.The cleanliness of the place is a little less admirable, I do wish the cleaning people came a little more often and did a thorough clean of the place each time. I also wish I didnt have to fight with each of the outlets and chairs to get them to work properly but the owners are present and are aware of the problems though and are doing their best to address them.Overall this school and the students are all very pleasant and fun to those who are willing and eager to learn. Oh and the price of it is very comparable to most schools in this area, and much much cheaper than those in the surrounding areas. So come stop by and get a tour!

    If you are thinking about becoming an esthetician, I would most definitely recommend this school and for you to come to. Mrs.Falon is the most hands on teacher I have ever had with anything. She has taught me and the other students so many things and techniques. In her class no question is dumb enough. And if you don’t understand something she will go over the concept over and over again until you feel 10000% confident in what your doing, and until you can do it in your sleep .She is very patience and cooperative with everyone with everyone in the class, no one will feel left behind or alone. It’s like we are a little family. She prepares her students mentally and physically for the real world. She is simply the best.

    I enrolled into the Nail Program a couple months ago , and although a 9am-9pm day sounded long at first , it really went by fast when you’re surrounded by people who is chasing a similar dream as you, but all on a different journey. She is caring, and warm welcoming.     Talisa is truly an awesome cosmetology instructor! Going in I wasn’t sure what it would be like but Talisa honestly made my experience. Susi she is very sweet, professional, she’s funny makes me smile and laugh . and her customer service is spectacular! There is a lot of hands on experience and the have a very nice staff. The course came with the books needed and the materials needed.     I do recommend this school, not only because of the cost (cheaper in the area) but also because of the cosmetology program. I have been a member of the class since June 2021, arriving when positive changes occurred. What do I like about the program? Flexibility of schedule was what caught my attention. Teacher Edgar arranged the program so that we do theory in the morning - we read, discuss and clarify doubts - of course to say that if you dont ask, you dont lose why at any time he clarifies and if necessary demonstrates. The teacher teaches the class in both Spanish and English and does not leave anyone behind unless you are not interested😂. In any case, I have learned many techniques and I feel very comfortable. The afternoons are for practicing what you learned in the morning or practicing something that gives you work.     Hollywood Beauty Academy.In the time that I have been studying cosmetology at Hollywood Beauty Academy, it has been an experience of personal and professional growth.Professor Edgar motivates us to come to school.Professor Edgar not only knows the material he teaches but is also a professional in the Beauty industry.She prepares us at all times with the basic techniques that Miladys book requires and also helps us with advanced hair cutting and color techniques.Professor Edgar has coordinated acrylic nail and aesthetic workshops with the other teachers at the school and they have provided us with the materials at zero cost to us.Professor Edgar not only takes time to explain the material in depth in Spanish but also in English for students who do not speak Spanish.Thank you to Hollywood Beauty Academy and Mr. Ron for bringing Mr. Edgar to school as he has been able to demonstrate everything we can achieve in the beauty industry.Professor Edgar is a professional and has great knowledge, he helps us with Miladys system to be able to pass the state cosmetology exam.

    What can I say, I am extremely pleased and super happy to have made the decision to study at this institute full of only professionals.....
