After hearing great things about the wax pot I decided to try it out myself. After reading some reviews I decided to make my appointment with Joanne. She made me feel very comfortable and throughout the whole process she kept checking to make sure everything was going perfectly for me. Ive been to several places and people for a wax and Joanne is the best! She is very thorough, cares about the quality of her work and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. If you get a wax here make sure to listen to the girls recommendations on taking care of your hair & skin before your next appointment, they know what they’re talking about! And ask for Yarelis!! My wax technician Joanne changed salons and I followed her here, after trying several other technicians at her former salon and realizing that no one was as good and thorough as Joanne. I didn’t know what to expect. This place is easy to miss when you are driving by but, once you are inside, the ambiance and decor are inviting and the hygiene is exceptional. I was a little worried about the wax (being accustomed to the good wax from the European Wax Center) and was happily surprised with the quality of their wax. Their ingrown hair serum also seems better. I just started to use it and I’m pleased with the feel so far. Waxing is very a delicate and personal affair, so I choose carefully. I am very happy and relieved to have Joanne back in my life and to enjoy a good experience at the Wax Pot.

I’ve been getting a “brozillian” for almost a year now. I just recently started coming to The Wax Pot for the last two months. As a guy this service keeps me groomed nicely for my wife, and elevates things to a new level of cleanliness. Not to mention in the summertime being so much cooler down there. Joanne is fantastic, she is very professional, and courteous, as are the entire staff. From the experience of both myself and my wife being her clients she is attentive to the differing needs both men and women have when it comes to waxing. I highly encourage any guy out there looking to do this for the first time to make an appointment, you won’t be disappointed, and you will definitely make this part or your grooming standard.

Joanne is AMAZING. I read the reviews on her via Google and I knew I had to come to her for my first wax. She is personable, professional, sweet and diligent. After my first wax she texted me to see if I was feeling any soreness or anything and that really made me want to come back to her even MORE. She talks you through the process and lets you know what’s going on. She is very sanitary as well! The Wax Pot is great! They don’t push you to buy products at all but do let you know they recommend. The same for Joanne, she let me know that exfoliation with the serum they sell is recommended but also gave me other options I might have at home.I just had my third wax and as long as I live in the area, the Wax Pot will see me! :)

I visited The Wax Pot today after over a year of not waxing. I was waxed by Joanne and received a Brazilian and a leg wax. Joanne was very friendly and very thorough with waxing all the hairs. She went over areas multiple times and ensured that all the hairs that could be removed were removed-especially those areas on my legs where my hair grows in several directions. She made me feel very comfortable the entire time. The place itself is adorable. Its a girls dream salon! Glitter everywhere! (I may have even found the chandeliers on Amazon and added them to my cart! Haha!) This place is great, I will definitely be back!

St Pete location is very clean, Ive gone 3 times so far for Brazilian, and a few leg and underarm waxes. Joanne was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and insightful, and gave great info about waxing/hair removal and other services available. She made me feel at ease, walked me through her process, as every waxer does things slightly different, and we had a great conversation.I also like the wax they use here much better than other places Ive gone too. Its very gentle on the skin and if a few hairs get missed, the area can be rewaxed without causing additional irritation.It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend her and the Wax Body Pot!

I love the Wax Pot. Joanne Reid is fabulous. I have done traditional waxing and never really liked it. The method used at the Wax Pot is so much better. It doesnt hurt like hot wax and strips.
