I wish I could give more stars and credit to this place as it deserves it! Vintage88 salon is a beautiful place and the inside is extremely clean and smells so good always! I only have amazing things to say about this salon and everyone who works here. I’ve been coming to this salon for several years and have had amazing experiences only. Renee is super friendly and very professional. She’s a very active owner and that makes a huge difference I think. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help her staff out anytime. Renee is the type of owner anyone would be lucky to have! She is personable and really does care about her staff and clients and it’s noticeable. I’ve seen many other clients who have had hair colored/cut/styled and every single other client I’ve seen over the years all looked amazing and so so happy with the end results. I have personally had my hair done by Demi, Christie and now Jessie. I had a great experience with each of them. Never disappointment when leaving here. I always leave feeling super great about myself and confident. My hair always feels so soft and healthy after getting it done thanks to you all! I recently moved to Maryland and was really upset about possibly having to find a new salon that was local to me but after searching and not finding anything similar to this place I finally decided I will just fly back and fourth every few months for my hair appointments. I love this salon so much and my end results I have gotten every time make the trip from Maryland to Florida well worth it to me! I’ve had so many bad experiences at other local places and even other salons in Maryland and once I found this salon I never looked back, this place is the place to go to! Another great part about this salon , the prices are fabulous! They often post specials on Facebook and just overall the prices don’t compare to any other place Ive seen. I tried this salon several months ago. My first visit was with Demi Gonzalez . I was so pleased that I booked her two more times. I can tell she has a lot experience and I would recommend her totally.I like the fact that the Salon is laid back and not having product pushed on you. This place was recommended by a friend and honestly I cannot say enough good things! I booked with Renee who is so lovely and Christie was my stylist, she is equally as lovely! My hair needed some serious work and Christie was so good at hearing what I wanted and delivering. I got a full head of highlights and a cut and I love it. Not only is everyone super nice here, they also do great work! Im not local to the Tampa area but every time I travel through, I will be returning to this salon. HIGHLY recommend!!

As am reading these reviews I have to highly disagree with them. Because I ask a lot of questions and want a full answer and they answer them very professionally! I came in twice and each time got what I asked for (including today) they are very clean and timely. No they do not over book. It takes time to do hair service. From short to long hair Some runs longer than others. I would recommend them to anyone. No they are NOT over priced at all! ASK FOR DEMI!

My wife tried this place out for the first time after finding a deal on their Facebook Page. The first time in, her hair was nice (great cut!), but a little on the red side and not ultimately what she wanted or was happy with.After reaching back out to them on social media, they offered to arrange another appointment to correct the color at no charge. They were very sweet & accommodating about it and did a fantastic job to make her happy. Well be coming back again!

Went there today for the first time after seeing them on facebook for the past few months. Jodie was absolutely wonderful. My hair turned out exactly as I hoped. The salon was clean and staff friendly and professional. I will definitely be back and recommend to friends.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing each of my experiences have been at this salon!!! Each and every time, Demi pulls off some miracles and I leave feeling new and refreshed! We’ve gone platinum… we’ve gone reverse Bali… we’ve gone dark and ultimately black!! She walks me through the potentials of each choice… she discusses and never pushes an up sell. Renee the owner is always available and is hands on making sure each visit is amazing! I literally travel 45 minutes over a bridge one way to see the ladies!!!

All the negative reviews on here are most likely from middle aged women going in and expecting it to be very professional. While some say “it’s a lot of commotion, personally every experience of mine I have enjoyed the fact it has such a comfortable vibe. I talk with these girls as if I’ve known them for years! And as for the waiting part.. it never bothered me because the end result is worth it. And to the ones commenting about their hair getting fried after bleach.. do you guys know anything about bleach? Lmao. Your hair is going to be fried no matter what at the end if applying bleach. My advice is maybe research before commenting. Thank Demi as always ❤️👏 xoxo

Every time I go in the staff is super nice & welcoming. I’ve been getting my hair done here for years because I know I’m in amazing hands and they will have my hair looking how I want it at an affordable price. They took my hair from almost black to a beautiful caramel color for summer. They’re the best!!

Nina is an amazing nail tech! I had a great experience with my pedicure. She was able to work out those calluses.My daughter had gotten a full set from her and they look adorable! I love that she has some length to them but the nails didnt looked oversized for her tiny hands. 2 happy campers here! We will be booking our next appointment soon!

I absolutely love this place I wont go anywhere else. The staff is very professional and really listen to what you want. Ive never had anything done that I wasnt extremely pleased over. I will continue using and recommending Vintage 88. Ive had several girls do my hair and love them all. Thanks girls for a GREAT experience . You get a 10 from me.

I went there for my first time.Tabitha did my hair and she was really pleasant and she really is a good listener because Im a difficult blonde ( i hAve really dark hair naturally) and I like minimal damage to achieve the light blonde that I have. She took in consideration all I said and she did my hair exactly the way I like it.And nothing makes me happier than that.Price was good for me because I go in every 4 -5 weeks.Thank u

UPDATE 2/8/2020: Renee contact me to apologize (even though it wasn’t her fault) and offered complimentary service to make up for the first time. I AM IN LOVE! Fran did my hair and it came out even better than what I pictured. Thank you for taking your time to do my hair (I have a lot of hair). I will for sure be back here!Went here wanting ombré balayage, came out with the same hair color. Paid $200 basically just to get my hair trimmed and straightened. Came in and the lady told me she had to rush on my hair because the owner, Renee, double booked her so her next client was coming in soon. After waiting an hour for the bleach/toner on my hair, it came out platinum which was not what I wanted! The stylist told me she can put some brown back into it to help but all it did was turned it back to the color I had before I came in. While I was there, Renee had walked in for not even 5 minutes and she apparently had a “panic attack.” Caused a big commotion, made one of her stylist drive her to the hospital who had a client waiting for her to do her hair. Poor girl waited for a whole hour before she decided to leave. My stylist told the girl Renee should be able to give her a discount or something just because this happened and she didn’t get her hair done. Renee came back 10 minutes after the girl left. Renee was perfectly fine.. she was then told by my stylist and the other stylist what happened to the client when the whole “panic attack” happened. All Renee said was, “uh idk just give her $10 off?? Not my fault I had to go to the hospital.” Like what the heck? So unprofessional. Never coming back here again. Save yourself some money and time! Go somewhere else!!

!!I LOVE THIS SALON!!I’ve been working here for over a month, an we all make sure our clients are well taken care! We always do a consultation so we are always on the same page, whether it’s sessions that need to be done to achieve a hair goal, or to get your hair to the exact color! We are a salon that uses Olaplex as well to ensure your hair stays as healthy as it can be while lightening it! We are all highly skilled in balayages, highlights cuts an more!! So come check us out for your next hair care need, or just to feel good an get pampered 🙂

Where do I start !??? Tabitha did amazing on my hair today. She got me from chocolate brown to blonde without my hair feeling fried / dead ! She took her time and helped me figure out the best opinion my hair could handle and get me as close as I can to my ending look. ( which came out better then what I was going for 💁🏼‍♀️) She treated me like she has known me forever ! She is sooo welcoming 💗 plus the salon is sooo cute inside and the manager is so welcoming as well. She give me muti compliments on my dramatic change !!!

Not sure why it has my husbands name instead of mine..on my phone..but I had an absolute amazing experience with Tabitha here! I have been to so many stylists I have lost count. I explained my past terrible prior experiences, showed her a few pictures and bam. She hit my hair on target at a decent price. I couldnt have asked for anything different or better. I am so pleased with the result, including my hair not being so dry anymore. I would highly recommend this place, esp Tabitha and I wont be switching stylists ever again. We book an appt 1 week early..got there 10 minutes early ..waited for 2 hours and not one word from anyone ..no one acknowledged us while we were there not a hi , sorry werw running late or anything so we walked out ..after we walked out we immediately got a text from someone saying someone was ready for us. I will never go there or refer anyone . My rating would be a zero if they had one .Update: I went back 3 weeks later and the owner gave me a big discount for there mistake.I saw Fran and she took me in within minutes and did an amazing job ..i loved the outcome of my hair.it was soft, and luxurious and the ombre and baylayge she did came out beautiful..im glad I gave them a second chance and I will go back ..thank you Fran.

These last two reviews with the one star I just read, I wanted to clear up a few things. These two girls came into this well known, amazing salon hoping to get their hair done and find a way to do it for free. It is a small world and people hear everything. I know for a fact they tried to scam this salon and when they didn’t get what they wanted they acted out by trying to destroy a fantastic salons reputation by leaving awful reviews because they didn’t succeed in scamming. They wouldn’t even let the place go over their hair they just demanded all of their money back. This place does fantastic top notch work and from personal experience When you don’t like their work they will continue to do whatever they can to fix it for FREE until you are happy. Unfortunately , we live in a world where people are sad human beings don’t let two scammers ruin your opinion or stray you away from the best place that will ever touch your hair!! :)

The 5 stars isnt for the salon, its for Travis. He is such a talented, hard working hair stylist. I spent 4 hours in the salon & listened to Tabitha talk crap about her previous clients 95% of it. It only stopped when Renae came in (the owner). Not only was she gossiping but it was F this, F that, F her, F off. I am not perfect by any means & I say plentyyyy of curse words but her potty mouth was making me sweat. I get that people can suck but for 3 hours I heard her gossiping & at one point Im pretty sure she was whispering about me. Im told that the other girls are intimidated by her. Lol! Not quite sure what by but someone needs to put her in her place. It is so trashy. Anyways, Ive been here twice with a year in between. Same old same old disorganization, overbooking, & Tabithas mouth. The color washes out pretty much as soon as you wash it so I would recommend bleaching it if you want your 5 hour appt to be worth it. Travis was the only one who was working more than he was running his mouth. If you go here make sure you clarify you actually have an appt, that the stylist will actually be there, and exactly how+what you want done. I left here feeling super anxious and annoyed. My hair looks good so hopefully itll last this time

Regardless of the stylist I’m set up with (I’m not picky) I know I’m in the best hands and the results always reach higher than my expectations! Whether I get ombré balayage, a cut, deep conditioning treatments, blow outs and event styles, I’m always in love! These ladies are killin’ it in the game!

I just love Natalie Shelley she is so talented and knows how to make your hair beautiful. I moved to Florida in 2009 and she did wonders for my hair and my self confidence. She is truely a great hair stylest. Does wonderful color as well!!! Thumbs up chic you know your stuff.

After reading many many sour ratings on Yelp and Google, I decided to take a leap and just go have my hair done this evening, knowing that there were many not so nice and sad reviews I knew I was taking a chance... Brekley is the woman that took care of me, she was very nice and I watched her finish up someones elses hair before I sat in the chair.. the chick before me her hair looked ABSOLUTELY stunning. I finally felt comfortable with my decision and sat in the chair.. I gave Brekley an idea(ish) of how I was wanting my hair done.. needed to get some grey covered up and highlights with some low lights.. anywho.. She was great my hair turned out great.
