I have been way more than satisfied with my experiences at Salon 131. The stylists are professional and really good at what they do. The shop is run well, on time , a fun and relaxing experience. For me, I get cut color and blowout. The style is what I requested with some helpful suggestions. I watch the others working and would feel comfortable with any of them working on my hair. I constantly get compliments on my color and style. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at Salon 131! Mandy the owner was extremely helpful to get my appointment set up and understand what kind of style I wanted. She was great communicating with me leading up to the appointment! And Shannon did an amazing job bringing my Pinterest inspo to life for this updo I wanted to attend a family wedding! I have been going to Salon 131 for years and the staff is outstanding. I have my favorite stylists but on the few occasions I have had to use another, they are all excellent. I have long hair that I get permed and everyone always thinks it is naturally curley. Their prices are reasonable and the salon is always spotless. They always offer me a free beverage and I think they also have small snacks available. The salon carries a large selection of product which saves me having to go elsewhere.

I love this place! This was my second visit. I have only gotten a haircut so far. I have had three stylists in the past ten years and was often disappointed. Lisa did a perfect job, exactly as I asked. Its a very professionally run salon, and I would highly recommend it.

I went here 6 years ago when I first got highlights, loved the women but forgot her name. She wasn’t there anymore when I came back. I went about a couple weeks ago to get highlights for the second time in my life. I got it done with Kali. When she finished I thought it looked decent but you can’t really tell highlights with wet hair. Once it dried, I realized she only did half of my head on the top. It look bad. She even parted my hair how I usually part it when she was doing my highlights. So, I don’t understand how she missed the top. I went the next day to get them fixed, the owner/manager was really nice about it. Overall, I’m just disappointed with my second experience. As shown in the photos, the left one is half the head, and the right is full (fixed). I’m mixed feelings.

When you hear that Salon 131 is an upscale salon that is affordable, it’s the absolute truth! The salon is stylish and always neat and clean. Many products and services are displayed. Staff is always busy, friendly and professional.Most of the time when I write a review it’s a warning or valid complaint. I don’t always give credit where credit is due, however. My stylist Diane has been there the 3 years I’ve been going there and is very talented. She listens to what you are looking for…and then does a beautiful job.Last week they celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They had a festive party and prizes. I won a massage! They also have loyalty perks. You won’t be dissatisfied if you check them out!

This was my 1st time going to this salon recommended by some people from work. Even though I have been waiting for this appointment for a long time. It was completely worth the wait. Mandi did an awesome job with coloring and cutting my hair. Lisa did my fairy hair which she helped me in picking out which colors would go best with my hair Cant see it really in the pic. Ill definitely be returning there for my hair appointments. Would recommend this salon. The only 2 people that worked on my hair was Mandi and Lisa but all staff is very nice. Everyone is very friendly, nice, and make you feel welcome there. Price is very reasonable also because I have very thick hair do a lot of salons try to charge me a lot more $ extra due to in how thick my hair is. I was quoted for what all was done to my hair at other salons as high as $2500 due to because of my hair being so thick. 👍👍 FOR SALON 131 MY NEW GO TO SALON!!! LOVE MY HAIR THANK YOU MANDI AND LISA.

So I was with my stylist somewhere else for 13 years. Little things have been happening and I got fed up and tried this place on a whim and a recommendation. I called at 10:30 on a Saturday and they fit me in at 2:45. I had no idea what to expect, but the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in kindness and professionalism. I was apprehensive having been with the same person for so long. BUT I was pleasantly surprised!! My stylist nailed it! Not only was she nice, but the other stylists came over and chatted. I felt so comfortable and left with some gorgeous locks!I would highly recommend this place. It’s eclectic, inviting, warm, friendly and welcoming. 5 stars all the way!!!

About 9pm Friday night, I made the decision that I wanted to get my hair cut in a way that would give me a boost in confidence as I re-entered the work force and wanted to look more polished. I found Salon 131 online and was able to make an appointment for Saturday at 11:45! I was excited and felt the reviews I found gave me comfort that I would be happy with the results!Boy, was I! Tamra, a new stylist to the area welcomed me so very warmly and listened to what I had quickly researched online so very kindly. My hair is baby fine and was hitting the middle of my back. She agreed that the style I asked for would work and immediately began.I must tell you, I felt like I knew her my whole life. She is an amazing person who happens to do amazing hair! She cut my hair EXACTLY as I asked and gave me pointers on how to make it look amazing when I do it as well. I love my hair and I could not have been happier. She was excited for me, and I made my next appointment.Bottom line is, Salon 131 is a little gem, and they are very lucky to have such a wonderful, warm, friendly, and very good stylist like Tamra. The best news, the cost was amazingly low. I am sold, if you need a new stylist at a cute little salon, then Tamra is your girl, and Salon 131 is your Salon! Thank you, Tamra!! Wow! 😁 What a team! First Shawn, in an effort to drive in more business place to business card on my coworkers car. I had just mentioned to my coworker that I was in need of a haircut and she handed me the card.I had scheduled a 1:30 haircut, unfortunately I was unable to make my appointment in a timely fashion - shame on me. I gave her courtesy call to let them know, after trying to get me to come back at 4:30, which I could not do they told me I could come soon as I could and they would fit me in.Miss Diane nice enough to honor, Ms Shawns price, cut my hair based on my description, but when I saw it I need to just a little bit more and she made it perfect. Shes still honored the same price, however I feel guilty and did pay some more.I should mention while I was waiting to get my haircut, they offered me a drink, didnt tack it on my bill like so many places would. Everyone was friendly and a accommodating.I cant say I got any color work or or perm, but if their customer service, sense of professionalism, as well as their mens haircut is any indication of how good they are, I definitely will highly recommend this stylist team to anyone in need of hairstyle services.

Rebecca was really professional yet so sweet and relatable and *bonus* AFFORDABLE (so youPeople better tip her well!!) Im leaving a review because its hard to find a hairdresser who actually does what YOU want! She listened so closely to how I wanted my hair.... Although Chunky highlights, tons of dimension, and a really warm tone arent always popular thats what I like and she DID it! And did it beautifully! You have difficult hair. Quote from many hair stylists!!It is fine, plentifully, naturally curly with strong kinks in the oddest areas of my head. However, i love to wear it straightened in an angeled shoulder bob.Nicole is the ONLY person in the TB area i have found in 8 years who has been able to cut my hair and make it look great.Nocike is so skilled and has an attention to detail like no other. Before finding her i travelled 500 miles every 8 weeks to another stylist in the FL Panhandle.Oh, and shes fun too. Love my visits with her. Highly recommend her.Maxine

Very pleased with services performed. However, I was uncomfortable with the discussion regarding mask wearing as no one in the salon including customers were wearing masks. In the ensuing few minutes, negative comments regarding mask wearing from another stylist and customer were made( apparently everyone is an expert). It’s unfortunate as I really loved what she did with my hair but I won’t be returning in the near future.This visit was before CDC changed mask usage and right after governor superseded local regs

Was a client when I lived here and loved it then and even more now with the skincare they also provide!!! Just had the signature facial with microdermabrasion with a jelly peel and henna eyebrow tinting with shaping,AMAZING!!!! Yes,I pampered myself!!!! Well worth every penny. Marcy knows her stuff!!!! Products and services are fairly priced. If you go somewhere else you will be sorry! I also had cut with highlight and I am happy. Run dont walk to them!!!! 🙂

But also some of the best hair stylist in the Tampa Bay area!You will not pay outrageous prices. Surprise! They have the best products for your hair! Products that actually do something.
