I wish I could give more than 5 starts! After 2 years of hairdresser shopping, overpaying, and ending up just plain SAD… I was gifted a referral to see Jillian. She is the sweetest, kindest gal I’ve encountered. She humored me as I scrolled through pics of my botched dye jobs, and most importantly, she was willing to read tips from my previous stylist! The simple fact she was open to what worked previously made me feel so comfortable! There just aren’t words to explain the experience. I walked in with big bird yellow hair. She wasn’t judgmental, listened to me and ultimately delivered an end result I’m obsessed with! She may not claim to be a “blonde specialist” but if you’re tired of yellow blonde and need some help she is your gal!Pic by the pool and obviously the pics with the foils are before pics. Break up with your current stylist and book an appointment with Diane – you won’t regret it!I have *never* been this thrilled with my hair in my entire life. While visiting family in Spring Hill, I stumbled upon Diane, and it was the best decision ever. She’s incredibly talented, kind, and a true professional. I gave her a challenge that most stylists wouldnt even attempt, and she absolutely nailed it. Im leaving her salon feeling more confident and beautiful than I’ve felt in years. Dianes skill is unmatched, and I’ll be flying down from Washington DC just to see her. You simply won’t find this level of talent anywhere else!

I have been going to Scissors plus for about 3 years now. From the first haircut I have felt like family-Doreen always takes the time to talk about my hair style - truly concerned to make sure I am happy. My haircuts are always amazing. I have recommended several friends and everyone is extremely satisfied. Prices are reasonable and the entire staff is friendly and professional. If I could give a higher rating (10), I definitely would.

Diane has cut my hair two or three times now and this is the first time I have let anybody do any color in over six years. I went in with long dried out permed hair and walked out feeling like 1 million bucks! She did a beautiful balayage and gave me a head massage that made me want to fall into another universe! ! She is always so kind and funny. She always offers me something to drink and makes sure I’m comfortable for the long process of hair coloring. 😂 Diane truly listened to what I wanted and over delivered!

Asking if I was satisfied before moving on and even redid the red because she knew it just needed the extra pop! This was my first visit to this location, and it was wonderful, with great vibes and friendly. I booked a last-minute appointment with Diane, and I trusted my hair with her; she chose the style and color. I dont regret it. I love how my hair turned out; it looks amazing! Went to see Bernadette after another stylist from a different salon butchered my hair. She was very meticulous and took her time to look at what she had to work with and the cut I wanted. She is a miracle worker. She shaped up my hair and we started preparing it for the cut I desired. Its going to take a little as the last stylist cut my hair so short that there wasnt a lot to work with. Will definitely go back to Bernadette. Highly recommend.

OMG, I cant even begin on how good everyone there was. It was my 1st appointment there with Diane. I went in with long strawberry blode hair. I want VERY DIFFERENT colors. From the owner Dorine, giving color suggestions, to Jillian jumping in with suggestions and full hands on helping Diane was amazing. Another stylist came in and swept up around then. Ive never been in a salon where everyone helped each other. I had 2 people working on my hair for almost 5 hours. 2 plus cuts, 2 washes, 2 blow drys, bleach and colors. It could NOT BE BETTER from anywhere else. And the Diane even added in some tinsel extensions. I will NEVER go anywhere else now. Big hugs and thank you to EVERYONE.

Rita has truly been a saint! I had major surgery and cannot shower or wash my own hair. Really I can’t do anything with my arms that require reaching…anyways - I called to see if they would help wash my hair which Rita very nicely did! After washing it she even offered to braid it to help. Once done and offered to pay she said “no” we in turn just gave her a bigger tip! A week later I am now 9 days post surgery and still can’t wash my hair. Called the salon and explained that Rita had washed my hair a week ago and would like to see if she was there today . She was not BUT she came in just to do my hair! Again attempted to pay and she said “no I cannot charge her for something like this when she’s in need she can’t shower and needs her hair washed” so again we left her with a bigger tip! I cannot be more THANKFUL for the kindness of ALL the staff and ESPECIALLY Rita!

I cannot say enough about Jillian! She was recommended to me by my daughter to fix a color nightmare I endured at the hands of a stylist I will not name. Not only did she immediately make time on her schedule for me, but she listened to my wants and concerns and nailed it! That was almost 3 years ago and I haven’t used any other stylist/color specialist since! Finding the right person you can trust with your hair is extremely important and in Jillian, I found a gem!

So I came across this business on nextdoor app and thought I would take a chance after a very couple disappointing attempts to give someone a chance at a local salon by my house. I checked reviews on scissors plus and saw many good ones and I was skeptical after several places in the area I have tried. I was introduced to the owner and Monica and they could see my concerns before I spoke, addressed what they saw which was what I knew was wrong. We ended going much shorter than I anticipated to honestly I think correct issues and fixed color and highlights to what I have been trying to get people to do for years here. I immediately knew and saw the cut itself was 100% better, color and highlights as well. I just needed to adjust to the shortness that I honestly always had years before. Today, 2 weeks later I can say I feel like this has been the BEST cut, color and highlight I have had in 5 years since moving here. Monica is absolutely wonderful and when I walked in a customer told me she has been going there for over 10 years and loved it and they do great work, she was right. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I felt pretty bad about myself because my hair just has been looking so bad past several years but now I feel much better. Thank you Monica.

Just had hair cut by Diane at Scissors Plus. After 9 mos and numerous cuts to try and fix the hack job of a cut done at another Salon, I saw the reviews on Google for this place and decided to try it. Was very skeptical at first, but figured if it didnt turn out o.k., Id just go home and hack it off myself and save what it would have cost me to have a professional hack it off. LolDiane did an EXCELLENT cut! For the first time in almost a year, I can honestly say I am very happy with the way my hair looks. She LISTENS to her customers, and does a great job in achieving the cut they are hoping for.HIGHLY recommend!

As a retired 34 year sales manager of a large distributer of professional salon supplies and having the privilege of working with over 5000 stylists during my career, the first thing I did when I moved to Florida was to contact the sales Florida manager of a national distributer of professional salon supplies asking him for a reference from one of his sales people for a stylist that was capable of handling very fine hair, saying I would willingly travel to Tampa. He told me he had no need to ask his sales people and recommended Monica Leonard. I have been serviced by the very talented Monica for all 15 years I have been in Florida and I will never change. She is awesome as a stylist and a person. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment now.

Amazing all over highlights and magical color blending from the very talented Lisa - my first visit and Lisa spent time listening to my ideas and offering professional guidance so I would be happy with the results. The layered cut looks great and she fixed the overall shape that was wonky from a previous cut at another salon. The salon owner and other staff were welcoming and friendly as well - Lisa provides the type of service and style you would pay thousands of dollars for in downtown New York - so happy that I can put away my scrunchies and wear my hair down:)

Doreen was so welcoming and friendly and tailored the cut to his hair until it looked dead-on the picture. She was extremely fast considering that she had never done this cut (only 10 minutes including a shampoo too!). He has done nothing but play with his hair and look into the mirror with a big grin on his face. Wow! Just WOW!
