I moved back to the area recently and was looking for a stylist to do grey blending because I want to grow out my natural grey hair. I had the pleasure of visiting Kira at Salon Norrell Aveda and I couldnt be happier with the results! Kira’s attention to detail was amazing. She meticulously followed my natural grey pattern when adding highlights and toned my hair to blend naturally with my regrowth. The result is stunning and lets me grow out my grey hair while still looking great. I have very fine, thin hair that breaks easily. Not only did she achieve a beautiful, natural look, but my hair also feels incredibly healthy. Highly recommend! The first 2 pictures are before, the next 3 are immediately after, the last 4 are almost 8 weeks later (natural light vs indoor light) without any touch ups yet. My next appointment is tomorrow.

Kira earned her title as master stylist. She even won a top Stylist in Tampa award and was in a magazine. She is an amazing colorist. She’s done balayage on my long dark hair for the last few years and it’s always comes out beautiful. I highly recommend her for anyone looking to color their hair. Unfortunately, we moved to another state and it’s been hard to find another great stylist like her.

I had my hair cut by Kira who was absolutely amazing! About a month before I had gone to another salon in town to get a perm. End result was that my hair was destroyed. I went in to Kira to have her cut off the split ends and treat my hair. She was so gentle! My hair is back to healthy length. She talked me through everything I should be doing in order to regain its strength and restore the bonds. I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend her and this location to everyone!!

Samantha did a fabulous job with my Scalp Facial, Botanical Treatment and Blowout today! I have curly thick hair and my scalp gets a lot of buildup on it. So, the scalp facial really helped cleanse my scalp and it felt so good! Samantha made sure to do small layers during my blowout and my hair is so smooth and pretty! Will definitely visit again!

I have been going to her for almost a year now for highlights and root coverage and she is always awesome—so helpful with suggestions and honest about what would be best for me and my color choices. It’s always a pleasure to talk with her during our appointments too. The salon prices are high in my opinion especially for a haircut ($75!!!), but she has no control over that. The salon is lucky to have her on staff!

Shout out to Bri at Salon Norrell!! She does amazing work! I had highlights that were very light and grown out at the root. Bri toned them and blended them into my roots so beautifully to where I was back to my normal hair but still had the highlights more toned to my hair color. She gave me a beautiful hair cut as well and styled my hair. Very transparent with pricing at the start of my visit and very affordable. Thank you Bri, I’ve had some many compliments, you are so talented!! Never had a bad experience with any of the stylists/colorists here!

I can’t speak more highly of this salon and all the lovely experiences I’ve had at Aveda Salon Norrell in Hyde Park. I come down from NJ to visit my retired parents twice a year and ALWAYS come here each time to have Alaina cut and highlight my hair. She really takes the time to work with you and figures out what works best. I’ve never received more compliments as when I’ve had my hair done here. The prices are waaay cheaper than NJ too which is a nice perk. People have tried in the past to highlight my hair, but it never really took the way I wanted it to until Alaina did it. I highly recommend this salon. From beginning to end, everyone is warm, friendly and makes me feel like my business is valued.

Being my first visit to any Aveda salon I was very pleased. Walking in I was greeted by the ladies at the front, checked in and offered something to drink. I didn’t wait long for my stylist Taylor Mae. To say that Taylor Mae was AMAZING is an understatement!! Not only did she make my hair look perfect but she also held great conversation and shared a ton of laughs!! Taylor is very talented, and knowledgeable! She knew just what to do to achieve the look I wanted and we even talked about possible extensions in the future for my fine hair that doesn’t like to grow! When I walked into this salon, I instantly got a great vibe. I hadnt been to a salon in almost 12 years before having my hair done here, so I was so happy when I found this place. The appointment was so easy to make (I did it online), and I got a couple of confirmation texts and a reminder text the day my appointment was scheduled, so that made things really convenient. The staff were so friendly and offered me coffee, tea, and water as soon as I went inside. I was greeted by my stylist, Cora, right away, and she thoroughly went over how she was going to achieve the look that I wanted and asked about my normal hair-care regimen to determine what would work best for me in my daily life.I wanted something low-maintenance with layers that would grow out nicely, and I got exactly that. She spent an hour and a half on my hair, and when I saw the finished product, I was so happy. The whole experience was so relaxing (who doesnt love having their hair played with?), and Cora did an amazing job. It helped that the atmosphere of the salon was very dark and quiet. For what I got, I was expecting to pay a lot more. For an affordable and chic salon with a staff that DEFINITELY knows what theyre doing, go here. Ill definitely be back!

I just moved to Tampa and came here for the first time a week ago, knowing that Aveda salons have good reputations. Daniel gave me a cut and color with highlights. He did an amazing job from the consult, to the shampoo bowl massage, and to the finished product. I had showed him a picture of how I wanted the color and cut to look and he nailed it, yet also added some ideas from his experience to make it look even better. This wasn’t an easy color combination, nor was the cut. I can tell he really knows what he is doing. He was also very friendly and fun to talk to. Others in the salon that helped me were also very friendly, and I really loved the relaxed atmosphere. I’m happy to have found my salon and hair dresser here and would highly recommend!

I have been to countless hair salons that have all failed me miserably, to the point at which I just ended up growing out my hair as I had completely given up on getting a decent hair cut.Ronnie fixed that. He always does a wonderful job cutting my hair, and with cuts that are not easy to do. Their hair colorists do a wonderful job as well. I went platinum blond for a while which looked perfect every time. And I recently went to a dark brown, which from blond is not easy to accomplish with even/correct coloring. They did a fantastic job leaving my hair looking great and feeling healthy.I am habitually late person and they have always been friendly and forgiving regarding my lateness (has happened perhaps twice) which is incredibly kind of them as I am sure it has been an inconvenience to them. Late or not, I have never had to wait even a minuet any time I have ever gone. When we (my daighter and I) signed in we were told to choose two complimentary specialty services; I opted for scalp and hand massage, but got neither. The stylists were both very nice and mine asked me a lot of questions and I felt like she was going to be great, but after upselling a hair botox for both of us (an additional $170), in the end I just didnt love the cut. She styled it curly, which looked just ok and I figured once I washed it and styled it at home I would probably like it better, but I dont think it is very flattering. My daughter liked hers and thought she did a good job, though having bleached parts of her hair over the last year or so Im not sure the botox did much for her. The photo was taken right after the cut.They called me after seeing this review and I went back in for a recut. It was a much better experience and I loved Vivi and what a great job she did. I would definitely have her cut my hair again.

I almost turned my back on this salon because of a terrible mishap with my hair. I basically wanted a balayage and since my hair already had a caramel balayage to it, I wanted to go a bit lighter for the summer. Long story short, the stylist doing my hair basically dyed my whole head. I got highlights instead and my hair was left with orange and cool-toned blonde distributed unevenly throughout my hair. I didnt notice till I got home, that the sides of my hair was orange. I wanted to cry because I did spend a lot of money for salon quality hair and did not get what i wanted. I called and the manager (Rebecca) and hostess were really nice about the whole ordeal. I sent in pictures and they were able to schedule me in the very next day. Sydney basically saved my hair, it was already over-processed and left feeling straw-like from the previous encounter, but she managed to tone down the blonde and remove the orange hues. In the end its not what I wanted but, Sydney did her magic and rescued my hair. She not only saved my hair but gave me valuable tips since my hair went through a lot. Having to go to a salon twice is not ideal but, your prompt response and awesome customer service made it less stressful.

Daniel was so amazing and wonderful with his rituals and haircare! I’m saying care because he really takes care and love into what he does. I was turning 21 and I asked him to just do what he thought would be best and I almost cried when I saw it! I love what he did ! He made me feel beautiful inside and out due to his kind and compassionate service. To be honest when I saw the original quote I was a little worried but when I saw the results, I honestly thought I should have paid more. Anyone looking for dimensional,flawless color should ask for Daniel!

I’ve been coming to this salon since I moved to Florida 2 years ago. Callie has colored my hair every 4 months for 2 years, and Vee has been cutting my hair for 1 year. They have never disappointed, and I have always left the salon happy! The drive from St. Pete is worth it every time!

I highly recommend Aveda ,I had an amazing experience by hair stylist Maddison . She listen to what I wanted gave me wonderful customer service . Paid attention to every detail checked on me very frequently . I’m so happy my hair is curly and thick and it’s so hard to find stylists . I had a Brazilian blow out plus high lights . I had a great experience at Aveda Salon with Daniel! It was my first hair color experience so I was a little nervous, but Daniel made me feel at ease and excited about the process! He was very friendly and made the experience fun. I also had a lovely complimentary chakra journey that was so peaceful and relaxing and what makes Aveda unique.
