Ive been coming to this salon for a while now and I will never go anywhere else. Geraldine is one of the most amazing, kind hearted, and insanely talented people I know. Shes extremely thorough during the consultation and is open to hearing and listening to your ideas and wants/needs. I have never left feeling less than beautiful and refreshed.For this particular appointment I was ready to get transformed for fall! Geraldine understood the assignment and absolutely killed it. My hair is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like fall and pumpkin patches made up my hair which is EXACTLY what I wanted.If youre questioning whether or not to go to this salon there should be no question. If youre unable to make an appointment with Geraldine dont worry. Everyone is so nice, welcoming, and incredibly talented. Always an amazing and happy experience starting from your first steps in the door until you leave.

I am so satisfied with my experience at this salon! I wanted to get rid of the blonde and go back to my more natural hair color. Geraldine was very thorough and told me what she doing, why she was doing it, and when was doing it. The, very much needed, haircut turned out even better than I expected as well! I got my partial highlights by Bella for the first time yesterday and had an amazing experience at the salon. Bella did a wonderful job, listened to what I wanted and did exactly that! Sierra is the best!! Everytime I have left the salon, sierra always makes me feel like the best version of myself. She is such a joy to be around and we always find something to talk about. I love how convenient the location of the salon is and how wonderful all the staff are. Sierra does such a great job each time I ask her for a certain color, and she brings it to life 10x better than I could have imagined!!

Have had my hair cut here several times now. I have curly-ish hair and am not super picky about my haircut because the curls are pretty forgiving. However, I have never had a stylist who has taken the time to use curl product and diffuse my curls well. Usually I get a blowout or my curls are so brushed through by the time they go to dry my hair it’s just a frizzy mess that they try to make look okay. That is until today... Lauren not only cut my hair with attention and did an amazing job, but took the time to style my hair with good product and diffuse the curls. I left amazed! Highly recommend!

First time at this salon. I was taken care of by Maya and I cant say enough how lucky I got! Not only was she professional, personable and courteous but she is an artist at her job. A very short stacked bob with long hair in the front is not an easy task. Maya mastered it and I have never been happier with my hair results!I live in South Carolina but I will fly back to have Maya manage my style.Shes a gem and I highly recommend her.

I was recommended Balance Salon by a friend, specifically Clarissa and I was not disappointed. The appointment process was easy, just a phone call and you’re all set! Very clean and hygienic place. Clarissa was very helpful and suggested the right kind of treatments for my hair, nothing too much or too less. My haircut and blow dry was beautiful. My experience was really good.They also offer 10% discount for USF students!Thanks for an amazing haircut Clarissa!

Everyone at Balance is so friendly and makes the experience fun and relaxing. I’ve been getting my hair cut/colored/styled by Clarissa for 8 years, and it is always incredible. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the different dyes and products and how they work with different hair colors and textures. I bring in an inspo picture, and she helps me figure out how to make it work with my hair type, face shape, and lifestyle. We’ve done blue, pink, silver, blonde, and everything in between, and my hair always looks amazing, from fresh color to faded out months later.

I wanted something unique to my boring one color I usually always go for and Clarissa definitely delivered! She popped in my favorite color, red! I absolutely loved it and she gave me the proper care instructions to keep it from fading making it last longer than the vivids I’ve tried in the past. She always understands the assignment when you tell her what you want and show her pictures and has amazing input when you ask her opinion. She slays any color or length of hair. I always get super nervous about dying my hair, especially with new stylists, because I fear they never know exactly what I want or match the reference photo. Well, I booked an appointment with Sierra and now I don’t let anyone else touch my hair. I showed her my reference photo, she gave a few suggestions that ended up working much better, and transformed my hair to the point where I can’t stop looking in the mirror because I’m OBSESSED!!! Despite the fact that she’s insane at doing hair, she’s such a joy to talk to and engage with, her personality is something that emanates amongst the room. Best decision I ever made was booking an appointment at this salon with Sierra!

I have never had a consistent hair stylist until having Geraldine do my hair. She gave me the cutest shag about 4 months ago, then I full sent it and had her chop it all off and give me a “girly mullet.” She slayed!! She is also amazing at doing fun, vivid colors! Highly recommended going to her if you’re wanting anything with layers or fun colors! Love this salon & so happy I found a hair stylist I can trust 💜

Katie was amazing. She spend about 5 hours trying to get my hair to look as natural as possible after I botched it with black box dye. She did a balayage, tone, hair mask, and cut. I have a lot of curly hair and she was super patient and made sure we didn’t damage any of my curl pattern. Already booked my next appointment with her!

Been coming to this salon forever. The staff is wonderful and always makes sure my mullet is looking right. My stylist, Sierra, always makes sure that I am getting what I want and does so while cracking good jokes. Also special shoutout to Carlos, the owner, for being consistent not only in the salon but in the gym as well!

Based on reviews here I booked an appointment with Geraldine. I’m so very glad I did! She was fantastic! We discussed options for my hair, different techniques to give my thin hair volume and the best type of cut to achieve it! She told me at each step what she was doing to I could replicate the style at home.The entire staff were absolutely wonderful! Ally was so sweet and greeted me like an old friend even though I was brand new!!I highly, highly recommend this salon and Geraldine in particular! I’ve found my new home!!

Carlos, the owner is fabulous. Allie, the front desk manager is superb. Very friendly always willing to help. I am severely visually impaired and they are always willing to help me and treat me like a queen. Madison, Lorraine, and all of the stylist and staff is a place to go if you want to feel pampered. It is a one day that Im able to get out of my house and go to an appointment, other than a doctors appointment that I look forward to and feel pampered in every way 10 stars for Balance Salon!

Balance Salon is warm and friendly and lives up to the high standards of Aveda products. The salon is always beautifully decorated and very very spotless. I cant fit enough accolades in this review for my very favorite hairdresser Lorraine. She is one of the top hairdressers for good reason. She not only understands your hair from the start, Lorraine is very meticulous in coloring, cutting and styling my hair. My recommendation!, the best hair salon around Tampa Bay! Try them, you wont be sorry.

I got my hair cut and colored yesterday! It was an amazing experience and working with Geraldine was great. She was knowledgeable about how to achieve the look I was going for. She did blended highlights with chocolate and copper tones. It’s great to get a new look and color. The hair cut is also very flattering giving me shape and style and getting rid of weight and dead ends! I can’t wait to go back again soon!

After a year of box dyeing my natural blonde hair and having to chop half of it off, I came to the decision I wanted to go natural again and grow it back out. At the time I had black box dye in my hair. I bit the bullet and decided to have a professional help with my hair. The first session was basically what I asked for, but not something I was satisfied with. I came back for a second session and it was exactly what I wanted, plus my hair was slowly but surely growing. Then not even a week later I messed it up on accident and had to get squeezed in at aveda to get it fixed. We did an all over bleach bath to remove some color and then she toned and did a flash treatment on my hair. For how much bleaching we’ve done my hair is still healthy and growing! It is a lot of money to spend on hair but if you have it, would recommend doing it and coming here. They don’t rush the process even if you’ve been sitting with them for 8 hours. They take their time to make sure your hair remains healthy and the job looks excellent when you’re done. I have another appointment scheduled next month for some touch ups!

Had the best experience here!!! I have been getting very bland haircuts the past 12 years through a lady who cuts hair in her house. So this was my first time at a salon in a loooong time. Jackson at the front desk was so sweet and so welcoming! I went into the appointment not really knowing what I wanted done with my hair, but I did have a few requirements for the cut (i.e. keep the length, make it look less heavy but still want to be able to tie it back, and wanted it to look good without styling). Sierra was INCREDIBLE and was able to give me her opinions, while making sure all of the things I wanted for my hair would be attainable. I am SO happy with how it turned out! She was also so sweet and chatted with me the whole time (: I typically dont follow the 12 week trim recommendation, but I definitely will now that I found a stylist that I love

Well once again I’m writing a review for Balance Salon Spa of Tampa. I just feel people should hear about this place. This is my ‘go to’ place when I’m stressed and need some pampering. Aly, the ideal office greeter just knows how to begin the cheering up by just her positive attitude and demeanor. Then my hair stylist Lauren is undeniably the best overall to get the pampering started. The massage she gives with her shampooing has got to be the most relaxing and is the greatest. She’s a great hair stylist and always helps me feel like I’m worthy to pamper myself. It’s great that I always leave with feeling so much better than how I entered. I drive about an hour to get to this place and I’d drive even further if I had to….that’s how much Balance Salon Spa has me hooked!!! Thanks again.

She was very personable and she made sure to explain the products she was using on me. I came in wanting a couple inches off and after she finished cutting my hair before she blow dried and styled my hair I asked her if she could cut a little more. Based on the wonderful reviews for Clarissa, I booked a haircut appointment for my long hair. She was absolutely phenomenal. She started by getting a detailed history of my hair to understand it’s needs and then asked about exactly what I wanted and made recommendations on how to make it look best. The shampoo service includes a lovely massage and hot towel. She styled it beautifully and gave me exactly what I wanted. New customers get $20 off their first service, which was a nice bonus! I highly recommend giving Balance a try!

My entire experience at Balance was wonderful. The front desk staff was friendly upon arrival. I sipped some delicious hot Aveda tea as I waited for Clarissa, who went above and beyond throughout my entire visit. I’ve been looking to get my hair cut and colored for awhile. My long hair, even though it is a frizzy and stringy mess, has been my baby for years. I’ve opted to not get color and cuts due to previous disaster like experiences at other salons. Clarissa was so in tune with what I wanted and made suggestions that I hadn’t even thought of. She made me feel calm, at ease, and relaxed throughout my entire experience. My hair turned out absolutely amazing. The salon was clean and pristine. Everyone was hard at work, yet still had a smile on their face. I haven’t felt this good in years. Clarissa made this tired mom feel 10 years younger within a few hours! I told Clarissa at the beginning of our session that I wanted to “feel alive” again and wow, did she deliver! Clarissa gave me the best haircut and balayage color experience I’ve ever had. She is a true master of her craft. I’d give 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend this salon for their friendliness and cleanliness and Clarissa for her professionalism, expertise, and positive vibe.
