    Jessica gave me a partial bleach and tied my extensions. She even recommended the right products to use for my extensions that also helped my natural hair. Most stylists will tell you, you just have “frizzy” hair but the products she recommended made me really want to embrace my natural curly/wavy hair as it became more defined and healthy! Additionally, I remember going around the time of the hurricanes and even in a stressful moment they made me feel really welcome as this was my first time at this salon. The atmosphere is amazing and I’d highly recommend as I’ve been to other salons that made me feel like I didn’t have a say in my own hair health. She didn’t cut a lot of my hair which was a concern from past experiences and I’m looking forward to seeing my hair finally getting better and back to its natural state.

    Lauren did an incredible job on my curls! I came in with long, dead, dehydrated hair, and it’s like she brought it back to life. I didn’t realize my hair could look so moisturized and curly! She also educated me on proper washing/brushing/drying techniques to keep my hair healthy in between cuts. Thank you Lauren!

    I absolutely loved my appointment with Kayla. I have curly hair and no stylist ever styled it in a way that I would love them. Kayla was so patient to walk me through every step so I can recreate the magic she did. I loved my curls first time. Everyone usually leaves half way through drying but she did 100% until its done. She has so much knowledge and passes it to clients to help them. I highly recommend her and am so glad I finally found a stylist who cares. Thank you Kayla.

    I was looking for good hair salons around Tampa because most of the salons in my area have been a bit disappointing..but i happened to find Elevate online and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. This is my first time ever writing a review on anything and let me tell ya’ll it was absolutely worth the hour drive. YES ! the HOUR drive!! Jessica did not disappoint AT ALL!! The environment is amazing and the staff is so welcoming and kind! Worth every penny, it’ll definitely be my go-to salon from now on

    One of the greatest salons I’ve been to- long story short it was my first time going here and aaliyah was just so compassionate and understanding and got me in again quickly to get me the hair I wanted and more. Ask for Aaliyah she does the best hair! I’ve never had a better cut or style done and she is just a ball of fire when it comes to hair she knows what she’s doing!!

    Yari is the absolute best! She took such good care of my curls and made them look fabulous. She also gave great product and styling recommendations that enhanced my wash days and made my hair look better for longer time. Can’t wait until my next appointment with her!     Kayla made me cry I was so happy with her work! Following a terrible experience at another salon - bad cut and extremely terrible highlights. My hair was huge, triangular, fried and I was devastated. I did a Google search for a curly hair specialist and found the perfect person for me. I had no idea it was possible for my hair to look and feel so amazing! Kayla was kind, knowledgeable, professional, she educated me, tried products to see what was best for my hair, and provided me recommendations for products in several price ranges. I was and still am over the moon happy! I feel like the tragic hair experience lead me to research and spend the money on an expert - lead me straight to Kayla and I’m never going anywhere else.

    I’ve been to Elevate twice now. Once for a curly cut and once for highlights and a trim by Yarizel. I was SUPER satisfied with the results both times! My curly hair had some BAD heat damage for probably 2 years from bleaching it 3 years ago and straightening it so much. But Yarizel was able to bring my curls back to life after my first curly cut, and it’s the biggest feature of mine that makes me so much more confident! She even gave me some helpful tips on how to maintain healthy curly hair and recommended products for me, which I really appreciated. She is super personable and sweet, and explained what she was doing in every step of the process, making sure I felt comfortable. I couldn’t recommend Yarizel enough. I will definitely be back!!

    Absolutely incredible experience. Took my daughters to see Matt, after having such an incredible experience myself.My teenage daughters loved how much he listened to their ideas and what they wanted. Matt helped them both find the right styles, appropriate recommendations of products and how to use them.Highly recommend, great salon, absolutely love Matt, and the other stylists are so kind and welcoming.Best place I have found in the Tampa Bay area, we live 35+ minutes away and are forever customers.

    I don’t usually write reviews but my appointment and results by Aaliyah were so amazing that I had to. I was so nervous to get my hair cut. I thought it was damaged beyond repair and previous stylists recommended that I cut it all off to a bob. Aaliyah made me feel so much better about my hair and the results are amazing. She really took her time cutting off all the damaged pieces and cut beautiful seamless layers. My hair looks and feels so healthy and it’s still long. I’m so happy with my result thank you so much Aaliyah!

    I like that it was so easy to schedule an appointment. Parking is right in front of the salon. My appointment started on time and Yari was a pleasure. She made me feel so comfortable and asked enough questions to get exactly what I wanted to do with my curly hair. I love that she took her time; I didn’t feel rushed at all.     I got a curly cut and style with Yarizel, and honestly BEST CURLY HAIR STYLIST EVER! She took care of me, taught me how to do my hair and, even recommended products to me. My hair completely changed for good after I went with her, I always struggled taking care of my hair but she made it look so easy and my curls never looked healthier. She made me feel super understood and made sure to let me know the best route for me and my journey to healthier hair!

    I got the best curl cut. I had long hair, and it was cut to shoulder length with my curl pattern taken into account. It was nicely decorated and very clean. And I am so pleased and happy with my hair that I will 100% recommend and revisit.     The salon is clean and the ladies are punctual, kind, and very skilled at what they do. They also have complimentary tea, coffee, water, and snacks which is great if your hair takes a while to style. I love Sara specifically because she’s a color genius and takes excellent care of my 3B/3C curls.

    This is an amazing place. Yarizel has been cutting and styling my hair for a couple of times and it feels so good to be in safe hands with someone who knows about curls. She’s without doubt the best hair stylist I have ever tried! I’m always nervous when getting my hair cut because of my curls and it never turns out as I want it – but Yarizel makes my hair glow, and not only that, but she also teaches me how to take care of my curls and how to style them. My hair is usually wavy, but after getting it styled by Yarizel, it’s definitely curly.I don´t live in Florida, nor in the US, but I´ve been so happy with Yarizel, that I usually wait to get my hair cut and styled until I´m there on visit – even though it´s a several flights trip!Would 5/5 recommend!!!

    I’ve been getting my hair done at Elevate for over a year. I was so lucky to find Jessica when I moved to tampa as she truly is a hand-tied extension expert. I came with damaged, thin hair (secondary to post partum hair loss) and tape-in extensions and she transformed me. My hair is thicker, stronger, healthier even with color. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for quality extensions and expert installation. It’s absolutely worth the investment

    Long story short: This was my first time here, and Im so glad I got Maggie as my stylist! I absolutely love my cut. She paid a lot of attention to detail, was super helpful and nice, and made sure I was happy with how much length she was cutting. Plus, the price of the haircut was more than fair! After driving 2 hours to my hair stylist in Orlando whenever I needed a haircut, Im so glad I found a Tampa stylist who I can trust with my hair. Also, the salon had a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.A little more info: I hadnt gotten more than a trim in years, so I was pretty nervous about wanting to cut off a few inches and getting shoulder-length hair. I also always get a bit nervous because even though my hair isnt super curly, some hair stylists have found a way to really mess it up.That being said, Maggie was awesome! I wasnt sure about whether I wanted layers, for instance, and she suggested putting some in to help my hair have more body (which was an excellent idea because it helped give my hair some volume and prevented it from becoming shapeless). She also managed to fix my side bangs, which were cut awkwardly by my previous stylist. I opted for the Deva cut (I have wavy/curly hair), and she paid really close attention to any stray hairs and cut with such attention to detail that I knew I was in good hands. Ive had one Deva cut before (at a different salon) and it really didnt turn out well, but Maggie restored my faith in these types of cuts, and Ill probably get another one next time I go see her.So final note, I definitely recommend Maggie -- go see her! :)

    I got my hair cut and colored by Nicole. She did an awesome job. It is very easy to schedule an appointment and I received a courtesy reminder call of my appointment a couple days before my scheduled date. Nicole was very professional and polite with her services, as was the entire staff. They are definitely kid friendly as my two younger children waited for me in lounge area. I received compliments from a lot of the staff on how well behaved my children were and they had no absolute problem with them being there. I am usually very picky on who touches my hair and I definitely would recommend Nicole to anyone, she did a great job and knew exactly what I wanted done to my hair.     This is one of the best hair experiences I have ever had! I decided to try the Barbara Forgione salon on the advice of a friend and I was a little hesitant when I made the appointment. My previous hairdresser just moved away and I found myself in need of a new place to go. And the Barbara Forgione salon was wonderful. My stylist was Maggie - and she is phenomenal! She really listened to what I wanted and was able to deliver, both with the cut and the color. I have gotten so many compliments in the last three days and I have recommended the salon - and Maggie - over a dozen times already! I am so happy with my new look and with the way that Maggie took care of me. I dont have to look for a new salon anymore because this is it!

    This place was really great. Well worth the 45 minute drive. Im a guy with very thick curly hair and have always had trouble finding a hair stylist that would cut my hair the way that i want it to. Very friendly people, in a clean, relaxing salon. Sarah was my stylist and I was very pleased with the way that she handled my very difficult hair. I would definitely recommend her and this salon to someone else with curly hair.

    I recently visited the salon for the first time and was so impressed and happy with my experience. Tuya took such good care of me. She had my hair looking fabulous by the time I left.     Love, love, love Barbara Forgione Salon! Ive been going to this salon for years and cannot emphasize enough the quality hair care service provided in a warm, friendly, caring atmosphere. Barbara is a master colorist who has done wonders in bringing my too-dark color to a beautiful highlighted blonde that blends much better with those pesky gray roots. Shes a seasoned professional who listens, recommends, and delivers; satisfaction guaranteed. Peggy does a fantastic job with my cuts and blow dries. She takes all the time necessary to get it just right, a real perfectionist! I constantly get compliments on my hair and happily refer friends and family to this salon. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough.

    NICOLE is an amazing stylist, she gave me a diva cut and it has literally changed everything about my hair. My curls (that I had been relaxing for 17 years) came to life. My hair is SO much faster to do in the mornings, and it is so much healthier. The products she recommended for me have helped repair the damage I have done over the years. The salon was clean, all the girls were friendly, but I will DEFINITELY be returning for Nicole.

    I cant thank Matt enough for being so gentle with my hair. I can bequite tender headed and he had an effortlessness to his cut and care. With a recent thyroid condition diagnosis I was concerned my hair wouldnt hold bangs. He perfectly captured the curtain bangs I was looking for and set my fear of layering at ease. The shape has only continued to set into a pleasant face framing light curl, that seems to get somehow better as its picking up this Florida humidity. Bravo 👏

    I recently went to the salon for the 1st time. Tee did a deva cut on my hair and it turned out nice. However let me tell you, I went back a couple of days later for a full set of highlights and Paul did his thing. I left there feeling confident and loving my hair again. I couldnt see any of my grays and my highlights were flawless. Paul is very knowledgeable and educated with anything relating to hair in general. He makes sure you feel comfortable and confident in what you want and he makes sure he gives you exactly that. We already discussed my Fall color and I cant wait to see what he can do next. If you want color, kindness, respect, and compassion than Paul is your man. You will not be disappointed at all.

    Wow! Cant say enough good things about the Barbara Forgione Salon! Barbara has been doing my color for more than ten years. I always get wonderful compliments. Shes the best colorist in Tampa, bar none! Vicky does my cut and also cuts my sons hair. She always gets it just right! The atmosphere is friendly and fun. Try it out, you wont be disappointed.

    I had my first appointment here about a week ago with Sarah. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and Sarah was amazing and very funny. She really tries to find out what you like to hold a conversation.I got a cut and color that came out perfectly and turned my dead, overgrown hair into a sleek style and im still in love with.     If youre thinking about getting your hair done at Barbara Forgione Salon - think no more and JUST DO IT! I came here to get a color correction and Sara did my hair wonders! Seriously - I went from being embarrassed of wearing my hair down to wanting to flaunt it around town.The salon is also professional, super tidy and COVID safe.     OK. I have tried multiple locations for my daughters. Most places they seem to have an seriously perturbed that you are bothering them. Especially if you didnt make an appointment three years ago.However, this place was a welcome exception.1) Lots of qualified professionals so it was easy to get an appointment2) They specializing in curly hair, they know how to do more than just flat iron and style.3). They made my girls feel welcome and everyone had a positive attitude and were very polite and friendly. Offered drinks, snacks, and other things to make my weight more convenient. Best of all its in South Tampa so I didnt have to drive all over creation.

She is an expert in selecting the correctcolor for her clients and delivering expert service. Her shoppe has many talentedpersonnel, Vicki, and Peggy are two that I have experienced over the severalyears I have been coming to the shoppe.     I highly recommend this salon to anyone, especially if you have curly hair. I spent a lot of time trying to find a stylist in Tampa who can affordable cut and hilight my blond curly hair. I found Barbara through the Devacurl website and she went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did my hair turn out fabulous but I also had a great time chatting with Tee and Barbara about books, life and curls. I will never get my hair done anywhere in Tampa. This salon is affordable and amazing. The best parts that the color looks fresh months after it was colored.If I could give 6 stars, I would.

    I cant say enough good things about my experience here with Paul! I have very curly hair and this was my first deva cut, and he did so amazing. Hands down, my best hair cut ever. I was seriously sad because my hair had become so unmanageable, but Paul changed everything!     I booked an appointment at Elevate for the first time and I loved my experience there. My stylist was Brandi and she was super sweet and helped me figure out the perfect style for my face shape and I left feeling super confident and happy.     I was one of those people that hated getting my haircut. I put it off for as long as possible, sometimes going years between cuts. I have curly hair and most hairdressers just do not know how to cut my hair and I end up with a cut that I hate. But ever since I found Peggy at Barbara Forgiones salon I have been coming somewhat regularly (bad habits die hard)! They do the Deva cut and if its your first time using Deva Curl products they will show you how to properly style your hair. My locs look a lot healthier ever since I started coming here! The only downfall is the price, but honestly to feel confident and have great looking hair is worth the price. Plus I keep my curls fairly long so they recommend only coming in every 10-12 weeks, which cuts down on that cost.

    Barbara continuously offers amazing color! I started going to Barbara with dry straw like hair that I couldnt grow out no matter how hard I tried. She quickly got my hair under control and it is now long, healthy and beautifully colored! She is the BEST Ive found in the 15 years Ive been in FL!

    I had my 1st ever diva curl cut and color done by Maggie. She was very personable and funny, and did an amazing job on my hair. I have alot of hair and she cut and colored beautifully. When I didnt like how the 1st color came out she went over it until I was happy with the reults. I was very pleased and will definitely go back and recommend to all.     Barbara is simply amazing! She done a color correction on a very bad color that I had recently received from another salon... I had been walking around embarrassed for the past week, trying to hide my orangish/red, strawberry blonde mess every time I left the house. When I had noticed on fb that a friend of mine had bragged on this salon, I decided to check the other reviews... after seeing so much positive feedback and photos of so many beautiful hair colors, color corrections and everything else hair related, I immediately gave Barbara a call and she was able to get me in the very next day! Im no longer embarrassed or have to try and hide my hair to go out in public, I couldnt be happier with the outcome. Peggy was great too, she gave the best blow out and style that Ive sever received at any salon. I cant remember the ladys name that was doing a Diva Curl service, but her clients hair was BEAUTIFUL!! Nor can I remember the sweet ladys name that worked up front and took the before and after photos, but she was super sweet and vey helpful! Im happy to have FINALLY found someone for my color and hair care services!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!     I found Barbara Forgione Salon on Instagram when I was searching for a DevaCut specialist in Tampa. This was my first DevaCut and I was a little worried because lots of curly girls have stated that the first cut is never good but I was beyond ecstatic with my cut. Deborah did such an amazing job with my hair. Her fingers must be magic! She is super personable, knowledgeable about curly hair and so helpful in every step of the way. She talked through it all and didnt leave me wondering what she was doing. I really appreciate that kind of service. Some stylists will just start cutting and styling without letting you know what and why theyre doing something. Deborah is very knowledgeable when it comes to the DevaCurl products. She knew exactly what was good for my hair type and recommended some products. I was already expecting to be pushed into buying products but they did not do that. She took me to the products to educate me on the products I should be using and what ingredients were in them and what I should not use. She even helped me to figure out the products and techniques I should use on my curly girl daughters who have different hair types than me. I cant say enough how amazing my experience was. Cant wait to go back. Deborah is my new BFF! :)

    After consulting with Nicole she suggested that I get the deva curl cut because I wanted to revive my curls since I damaged my hair from heat and after cutting it and using the deva curl products my hair is curlier and has a soft shine. I can now wear my hair natural without the use of heat products. I would definitely recommend Nicole for your Deva Curl needs!

    Barbara Forgione is the only full service salon in Tampa that is certified to do Yuko Hair Straightening. That says so much right there since it is the best hair straightening system. Barbara has done my Yuko method twice and I just love her. I am from Los Angeles so I have been to a lot of salons. Barbaras salon is so laid back and professional at the same time. My hair gets compliments all the time and she does the Yuko just as good as the salon I went to in Beverly Hills. I highly recommend Barbara Forgione salon if you want your hair done right the first time.

    So happy with my new haircut! My stylist is Maggie and she just did such an amazing job with my hair. Before the haircut my hair was almost mid back length, weighted down and my ends were in horrible condition. Not to mention I have very thin hair and alopecia, so you can always see my scalp especially in the top front of my head. I was skeptical this haircut and style would actually be able to hide the alopecia and make my curls look lustrous and full. Maggie worked her awesome magic, spent 2 whole hours with me walking me through the products, styling steps and general curly hair care info. She really took her time and put a lot of love and care into my hair. I just moved to tampa and feel so lucky to have found my forever stylist on the first try! MAGGIE FO LIFE

    Barbara has been doing my color for 16 years. I am extremely particular and Barbara always makes sure my hair is exactly the way I want it. I made the mistake of going to a salon in New York City while visiting family and not only did I pay 3x the amount I was used to, but was beyond disappointed with the results. The minute I returned to Tampa, I went straight to Barbaras salon and she was able to fix the damage that was done. Not only did I learn a valuable lesson (which to not let anyone else touch my hair), but also realized the extent of Barbaras knowledge and attention to detail could not be matched. Now living bicoastal, part time in Tampa and part time in California, I still will not go to another salon even if my color desperately needs it (I have even worn a hat when my schedule did not allow me to get to Tampa fast enough and my roots were embarrassingly in need of a touch up). I am asked frequently where I get my hair done and although the people living in California are disappointed when I tell them, I have referred many friends in Tampa to Barbara... all of whom continue to be regulars at the salon. I could not speak highly enough of Barbara, Jai, and the amazing team they have put together.

    I have been going to Barbara Forgiones Salon for over ten years. She is an artist with color. She also does the new vivid colors or streaks - bright red, blues, purples, etc. And the color lasts at least six weeks at the same vivid hue. I see so many young people with hair color that, after 1 week, looks faded and their hair brittle. I so want to tell them to go to Barbaras salon, but telling them their hair looks brittle and faded is not nice. But I can write a review and say for healthy hair with beautiful color, natural or jewel tones, visit Barbara Forgiones Salon in South Tampa!
