    It was my first time working with Sandra. Due to medical reasons, I have very fine thinning hair. Not once did Sandra make me feel uncomfortable about it. She talked me through ways to work with my hair and make it beautiful. She explained her thought process throughout coloring and the why behind her different choices with my hair, and gave me tips for care afterward. She also charged me a fair price to do my color as I have very little hair. She made it look healthy and I just felt she had a very gentle, respectful, professional way of being. I took her number down and am definitely going back.

    So I just moved to the area, I was in desperate need of finding a new hair dresser. I spent two weeks doing research and came across this salon. Best decision I ever made was calling Melanee. She fit me into her schedule the same day that I called, she took her time doing my hair, she’s so precise, and makes sure you like what she’s doing during the process. Very professional and friendly, great conversation, great vibes, and just overall amazing. I will most definitely be coming back every time

    Very nice service by Misha. I got faux locs in colors 4 and 1B/27. Easy in and out appointment. I started at 9am and finished a bit after Noon. Loved the finished product.

    Sasha did a great job! I got a sewn in weave done for the first time and it turned out amazing! She answered all my questions and her and Melanie were very nice and professional. I love my new hair and would recommend this place to anyone!Sandra did my second sew in and I absolutely love it! She took her time to make it look awesome and showed me how to take care of it! I would recommend her to everyone also!These two helped me feel so much better about the way I look! I will be going back for my third soon!

    Located inside of a beautiful plaza, there lies a chic hair salon where relaxation meets excellence. Ruled by hairdresser Melanee where she utilizes innovative hairstyling techniques. Melanee was my stylist and there was another lady which I did not get her name that was helping Melanee, they are both so kind and sweet and I adore them and their work. The other lady washed my hair and I almost fell asleep with her soft hands. Because it was closing time she had to sweep and mop and prepare for the next day. She cleaned windows and clean the floors so good that the place looked like a palace. She is awesome!They did such a good job, and I enjoyed their presence. Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome and offering me water/etc during my time here. I cannot say enough how good Melanee is at what she does. Total awesomeness coming from this salon. Thank you! I will definitely come back.

    Absolutely the best hair salon Ive ever been to!Melanee was so attentive to my concerns and hair issues. She educated ne about my hair, and offered suggestions that fits my needs, and styled my hair to perfection. I received so many complement. And the price was reasonable and affordable for me. She even showed me how to style it on my own and take care of my hair at home. I definitely will be going back. I highly recommend Melanees Hair Studio.

    I needed to get my grays covered. They were open on Sunday the only day my busy schedule allowed and had good reviews so I thought let me give it a shot. This is my new salon. My color is exactly what I wanted. I believe Melanee herself did my hair. She is very sweet! She gave me a trim because I needed it. The cut was perfect. She didn’t take much off which I requested just evened it up a bit. Not to mention I almost fell asleep during my shampoo it felt good. I will definitely be back.

    We had the best experience at Melanee’s hair studio! I took my daughter to receive a keratin smoothing treatment to give her a break from her curls, as she wanted something easier to maintain and reduce some frizz. Melanee was super accommodating, professional and friendly. She did a fantastic job on my daughters hair and we are so happy with how it turned out.Making an appointment online was easy, called and spoke with Melanee to confirm our appointment and she was so sweet and knowledgeable - making sure my daughters hair was right for this kind of service and set the proper expectations about the keratin treatment.     Melanie and the other stylist (I forgot her name) did my daughter’s and I hair perfect!!! We wanted a simple wash and straightening. We started on time, great conversation. Both hair stylist were very communicative and nice! Shop was under renovation but it doesn’t matter what it looks like as long as my hair come out on point! It’s the first day of summer and normally my and my daughter hair would frizz up by the end of the day. But it wasn’t. It looks just as good as when I left. Don’t ever judge a book by it’s cover!! Will def be going back ❤️

    Ms.Sandra did a great job on my hair.She knows what she is doing.I get burns any time I get my hair relaxed but trust me with Sandra you won’t feel anything.     I went to Melanee about a month ago for a sew in. After a month it still looks amazing! My sew in is absolutely flawless. I’ve received so many compliments. So many people think it’s my natural hair. She took time to find out how I preferred my hair to be styled. What a wonderful stylist and person. I’ll be returning very soon.

    First time here, great experience. Melanee took the time to walk me through my whole hair process and help me get back on track. She reached out before and after my appointment, making sure I was comfortable and my hair needs were met. I got a relaxer and some extensions that she colored to match my hair exactly.     My daughter went to her this morning. Let me tell you, being new to the Tampa area we were nervous about the appointment because you never know who you are going to get if the place is clean and so on. Melanie welcomed us with open arms and a smile. We felt very comfortable right away! I can’t praise her enough on the fantastic job she did for my daughter! She made her feel super comfortable the whole entire time and even put on her favorite show to relax her! I will be using her again for all my daughters needs! I can’t recommend this place enough!     I just moved from NJ and I found it very hard to find the right beautician to do my hair. Resolved to continuing to just do my hair myself, I headed to the beauty supply store. As luck would have it, as I was checking out, a flyer for Melanees Hair Salon was near the register. Based on the flyers presentation, I decided to give it a go and Ive truly been happy with my decision. Melanee is extremely professional, in tune with my needs and whats cosmetically healthy for my hair. Typically when Imdone getting my hair done, I always go home and restyle/alter it to my liking but for the first time ever, I was completely satisfied not only by the great service but by the style as well and found myself going the extra mile to preserve Melanees fantastic work. I cant wait for my next appointment.

    I found Melanees a few years ago when I was having an emergency hair crisis a few hours before a performance and have been coming ever since!!! Its difficult finding an exceptional salon that does black , natural hair and it doesnt take forever to get done! She takes so much pride in her work and I always leave happy. Not to mention I can get anything done here , whether it be a sew in, straighten, braids, the list goes on. Its so multicultural, people from all different backgrounds come and get there hair done here which is wonderful to me. I love it here and I highly recommend anyone to come and see what Im talking about, you wont be dissappointed. I honestly have tried so many salons before I found Melanee and havent found anyplace even close to her and her staffs quality of work.

    Very professional and my previously damaged hair(not damaged by this salon) actually felt and looked great. The entire staff made me feel at home. While I was there, a very rude customer came in. I must say that I have never seen a beauty business handle a difficult customer with such class and grace. Kind, polite and so very tasteful! Thank you ladies, I will be back!!!!!!

    My experience was the best. I would definitely return here to get my hair done. I was coming in to get a look for a Gatsby party and they nailed it. Melanee came in on a day off to color my hair. The next day she had Ms. Jo-Ann style it. Melanee is the only person I would trust to color my hair.I definitely suggest that you would go here to get your hair done.

    I went to Melanees Hair Studio with my sister. Aniya is my stylist and she gave me the best sew-in I ever had. I showed Aniya a picture of the style I wanted, and my hair looked better than the photo. Joanne is the lady that did my sisters hair in a short cut and color and she jammed it :) The salon is very nice and and so are the hair stylists. We will be back!

    Melanee saved my natural hair! My natural 4a/4b hair had grown out of a tapered cut and I really needed to trim my ends so I tried to do it myself which was an epic failure. My husband found Melanees salon in a Google search, I gave them a call, and came in the next day. My experience was nothing short of amazing! Melanee did an awesome blowout and silkpress, gave my hair a beautiful layered bob hair cut that stayed straight and smooth for an entire week with some flat ironing in between, and my hair even looked amazing when I did a wash-and-go style the following weekend. No heat damage and my hair looked so much healthier with all the dead ends gone. I will be going back to see Melanee in the future and recommend her to all my naturalistas out there!!

    I just left the salon melanee is so sweet and professional I have 4c hair,I just needed a wash and a trim. Melanee did a great job,she trimmed it without blow drying it she handled my hair with no problem she didn’t manipulate my hair with chemicals or acted like it was foreign like most hairstylist do when it comes to 4c texture,she’s my new stylist from now on.

    Came in without an appointment late Saturday evening and to my suprise I was greeted upon walking in and led right to a chair! Now thats huge if ur like me and dont enjoy spending ur saturdays at the salon. I highly value healthy hair and Melanee did my hair beyond what i expected and was very personable, friendly, and informative about hair care and recommended products. I really just came in to get my ends clipped but got it flat ironed as well. I will be back for the Tuesday deep condition special! Ive found me my new salon!

    Was looking around and saw the reviews and saw how many people were happy with the service.. Called in and even though it was 4:30pm they still let me come in to do a full color and treatment, and blowout!! Monica did an amazing job she so professional and made sure i knew what was being done and what was being put in my hair since it was damaged from prior dying... She took every detail in consideration I Highly recommend her and she speaks spanish aswell!!!! I cant wait to go again my hair has never looked healthier or more beautiful!!!     I found this place right here on google and it’s fantastic!!! Salons I’ve went to before really didn’t want to try to color my hair because it’s relaxed but she knew what she was talking about and it came out great! Plus it’s less than 10 minutes from USF.     Trying to find a natural hairstylist in Tampa was not easy. I wanted faux locs and I finally found Poetry at this salon. Poetry did an awesome job on my locs.
