I moved to Tampa 11 months ago and have struggled to find a stylist and salon that understands ash blond. Worse than finding new doctors!! We all know how it feels to not like our hair - nothing else works. Well, the third time (salon) was a charm!! Libby at Salon Hyde Park is amazing!! She listened to what I wanted and then delivered! She knew exactly what I was describing, showed me a couple insta pics and we were on the same page. I love my hair and it felt so nice to be at a salon and not be stressed. Lucy color corrected my hair after my regular stylist over processed a gray blend highlight and I ended up with chunky highlights. Lucy did a root melt and all over gloss to get me threw the UGH phase of the grow out. Very happy with the outcome!

If you’re like me, you’ve probably figured out that many Tampa hair salons are really good at self-promotion but not so good at hair. I called Salon Hyde Park, told them exactly what I was looking for, was referred to Katie and have been super happy ever since!She takes the time to listen to what I want, she’s very knowledgeable about styles and trends, and very talented at color. Geo is the best. He has been my hairstylist for more than 15 years. He is an absolute professional and takes care of you 100%. No matter where I move in the city, I still go to him. After multiple salons, I have gone to in Tampa Bay. Was contemplating flying to NY for the quality of service, I was use to. Saw her instagram pic’s, and made an appointment. She is truly gifted. Can’t express enough how much I love this salon. Down to each and every employee everyone is not only friendly and kind but they truly care about you and make you feel like family. I’ve tried multiple salons in the area and can hands down say not only does my hair come out the best here but the environment of the salon is just amazing. All around good souls. Never been a time where I wasn’t beyond amazed with how my hair came out as well as friends and family noticing and complimenting it as well. Would give beyond 5 stars if I could. I have been seeing Emily Majot for all hair services for about three years. I cannot express enough how happy I am with the results! My hair has never been healthier or looked more beautiful. I’ve even had people stop me on the street to ask where I get my hair done. Emily also put in and maintained extensions for me for over a year. My hair with extensions looked so natural and I honestly could not have asked for better results! Emily is so willing to answers questions and give sound advice on hair changes. She also dyes and trims my very thick eyebrows! Highly highly recommend!

First - I never, ever write reviews. But I had such a stellar experience today with Sabrina at Salon Hyde Park. I came in with an awful bowl-shaped cut and dull, lifeless color. She did an amazing transformation and made me feel like myself again! Working with her was terrific - she got feedback and asked great questions every step of the way. The salon is super cute and carries great products. I highly recommend and cant say enough what a fantastic job Sabrina did! Thank you Sabrina!

I have been going to Emily Majot for two years now and cannot express how happy I am each time I leave her chair. She always asks what we are doing for each visit and truly listens to you. She will make suggestions for what is best for your hair type and is always honest whether your hair can achieve what you are “thinking” about doing. She took the time to talk with me about what I wanted, including humoring me by looking at pictures of Bradley Cooper as I told her this is what I was going for. So glad I found this place and my stylist, Chelsea. I am always a little hesitant when getting my hair done by a new stylist because getting my hair highlighted and making it look natural is something past hair stylists have always had a problem with, but she completely nailed it. Chelsea knew exactly what I wanted and did just that. She used the best color and amount of highlights and in the best spots. She also gave it the care it needed because my hair was definitely super damaged but now it feels and looks excellent. Im very happy to have finally found a hair stylist.

I’ve been coming to see Libby (the salon owner) every 6-8 weeks for 3 years. I’m naturally a dark blonde and initially came to see her after I’d let my natural color grow out and was ready to go back to highlighted blonde. She’s super personable and easy to talk to, which makes sitting in the chair for a few hours something to look forward to. I’ve recommended her to friends who now come to her solely as well. I feel like she truly understands her art and has passion for it. Yes, you get what you pay for and yes, it takes time for customization and creativity. Omar does the most fantastic job on making my super thin fine hair look like I walked off the Milan runway! I have been getting my hair styled by Omar since 1986. I have tried other salons around the world (out of necessity) over the years and always get the best compliments from people with Omars work. Ive interrupted living abroad just to come back to Tampa to get my hair done by Omar. I literally have strangers stop me to pay a compliment and tell me how much they wish they could have hair like me. Omar has worked with me to get a fuller and thicker head of hair and takes into consideration how sensitive I am to chemicals. Omar and Mary Theresa make a visit to their salon an enjoyable experience. They are so nice and down to earth, they will listen to everything you want and make suggestions you never thought of. They stay on the cutting edge of fashion and style, which I feel is very important. I believe you should appear as if you are working for the job that you hope to do in the future. Hair is just important for confidence and success just like your health, weight, clothes, and teeth. No one walks away from Omar every looking the same. He doesnt know the meaning of cookie cutter hari cuts and puts a specializaed flair to every personality and face.

I had the Agavé treatment done and I am in love with my hair. Before the treatment it would take about. 30-45 minutes to blow dry my hair. Now it takes me 15 -20 minutes and I didnt use a brush and my hair is silky flat. I have never had a better haircut. Omar is GREAT with short hair. But, yes, make sure you know that you are being charged for everything they do. They are doing anything for free. The first time I went in, they colored my eyebrows (Omar tells them what to do) and you think, how nice of them. Ha. Everything comes with a price. A big price. My hair is so short that by the time you get to the door, if you havent had it dried, it is already dry. But the last time I was there I asked for an itemized receipt. They dont give it to you unless you ask. And each time the cost of my haircut is different. Anywhere from $65 to $85. And my hair is very short. I was charged $25 to dry my hair. Would be different if I had long hair that took a while to dry. My hair couldnt take more that 3-5 minutes to dry. I will admit, the best place for a GREAT haircut and color, but the add-ons will kill you. I seriously would go much more frequently if it werent for the cost. I have no problem paying between $150-$200 for cut and color, but it is closer to $300+ everytime. Omar, Id love to see you all more often, but you need to stop with all of these extra charges.
