Absolutely great place faculty is very helpful with providing professional services. Students are professionals I have multiple services done there. Including hair coloring to retwist of my locks. Also manicure and pedicure facial it’s an excellent affirmation me day experience. I recommend this place. From Mrs. Brenda with a warm greeting to Mrs. Helen a professional instructor.

They were able to wash and straighten my natural 4c hair really well! I mean my hair is really thick. Student Arlene, Instructor Hellen and another instructor did my hair wonderfully! It was washed, blown out, and then flat ironed. I never had my hair straightened and still come out so full of volume! I love it and hope it lasts long.

If you need a fresh cut on a budget, give one of these talented students a visit. All services are closely supervised by the teachers. They will always know what you want, and the students are extremely kind and ask frequent questions so they get your haircut PERFECT!! Shout out to to Josue, whos very hands-on and knows EXACTLY what his clients want. My daughter gets her haircuts there frequently and he always knows how to instruct the students to get it right.

This is a training salon for beauticians and barbers.They do perms and hair coloring too -- if by hair ever grows out longer, Im gonna get one of those layered color styles.I went there for my recent haircut and pedicure, but the pedicure people werent available so Im gonna go back (They did share when the pedicure students were available). The students were really thoughtful and asking what style I wanted and they were engaging enough that I thought they were professional -- I dont believe the salon coaches that, but the students bring it in themselves. Its heavy Spanish language, brush up and be prepared.I got an enjoyable wash and hair treatment and a quality haircut too for 10 bucks! Being that they are students come up a professional teacher checks out the process and gives guidance. The students showed a high level of respect for the teachers, I like that.High quality place and I recommend it.Its across from the Marshals in the plaza that on waters and del maybury.

I have been living in Tampa for 6years and have been using them faithfully for 5 of those years. The owner is very polite, hands on and professional. Students and staff as well as instructors have always been kind. I try to be patient ( as we all should be) remember this is a SCHOOL so some days services may take longer than some but rest assured you will leave satisfied. a good place especially of youre on a budget like me as well. keep up the good work guys.

I have been going to Shear Excellence Hair Academy for years along with my son. I will never go to a regular hair salon again. The owners , teachers, and students are extremely courteous and they have done an exceptional job on every service Ive ever received. Its a diversified atmosphere that is very friendly and family oriented. I have been very pleased with every service received and the compliments regarding my hairstyles created by their staff. I’ve been going here for years! It’s always been GREAT customer service, the staff here are excellent, and the students are really talented! I came today to get some braids and a hair cut! I was VERY pleased with the services I received. I will admit I was a bit skeptical at first because the woman doing my hair did not speak English and tried to use a wet brush on my very kinky/curly hair but there was an Afro-Latina woman who provided assistance by helping to translate. I had my hair washed, deep conditioned, blow-dried, and pressed all for $30!I would do it all over again to save me the time and trouble of doing it myself!

Been going here for a year now. I have long hair and I like to have my head and neck undercut. So I get a womens cut then go to a barber student for the undercut. Teachers are very good with the students showing them texhniques. Its a fun way to allow them to learn the skills they need and I get a cheap well done haircut!

Yerrrrrr I’m a recent graduate and I would live to say that shear excellence hair academy was the best move for my life and my career choice . The instructor B.A.M makes the barbering program so worthwhile . He’s patient , reliable , trustworthy, & honest. As long as you want it he’s there to teach it . Without Luis I wouldn’t have gained the knowledge I did in my course . Highly recommended for barbering and now they offer mater barber classes ! Take advantage and get in there while you can ! I have been coming here seen February every one here is very friendly and you feel right at home here.They all do a very nice job and from the minute u walk thur that door that ms yesenia checks you in to the minute you leave the students and teachers take really good care of you from head to toes, Mr luis takes care of ur Barber needs ,MS jones. Ur 💅 and the other teachers work with Jorge Montanez whos the one that takes care of my hair coloring, cut and styling, i even did a facial it was great.so if u want a good job done you need to stop by.
