Luis is AMAZING! I found him as I recently relocated to Tampa and needed someone to cut my hair and also do my keratin treatment! He did both within weeks apart and both have been phenomenal! The keratin was perfect. The last time I had it done, it barely worked… this time with Luis, it was perfect and I love the results! I am so picky with my haircuts and he NAILED IT. It looks beautiful. 100/10! This salon is amazing, they all are so nice and friendly. I will definitely keep coming back!

It was my birthday and Trissa did a blowout for me that was amazing! The entire experience from start to finish was so relaxing and I loved my hair! The shampoo bowl was like a spa complete with warm towel. My hair looked brand new and felt silky soft! I walked around outside all day, slept on it, and took a nap the next day and my hair still looked amazing through all of it! Thanks Trissa!

Jacqueline is AH-MAY-ZING! It is obvious that she has a passion for styling/blowouts/braids as she treats it like a true art :) She listens to make sure you are satisfied and happy. Jacqueline never rushes you and you walk out of the salon with a beautiful style after the most relaxing scalp massage! The salon is welcoming and inviting! I have followed Jacqueline from another location because she is the best! Go see her!

What a great salon! Everyone is very welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed- almost like a spa. I’ve been here twice already, once for a blowout and second for a highlight and cut and Kiersten has done an amazing job! She is amazing.. super sweet and pays a lot of attention to detail. Will make sure you leave feeling happy with your hair! Would definitely recommend to any of my friends. On the pricier side, but worth it.

Let me tell you guys, I am the pickiest person ever! I came in for a prom hairstyle worried that it was hard and that my curls will fall out but they stayed in all day. Everything was perfect! They are all so sweet and social. They make you feel so comfortable and at home. My hairdresser was Jessie. She was amazing. Before she even started with my hair she wanted to know everything I wanted and she did exactly that. It was a great experience. I highly recommend them.

Amazing experience every time I have come in! The salon is very clean and a spa like experience each time. The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly! Ashley, my stylist, was AMAZING! She was incredibly nice, she listened to the concerns I had with my hair, and took the time to explain everything my appointment had to offer. I was very happy with their service, the experience they provided, and the excellent care I received from Ashley. I’ve been here a few times since recently moving to Tampa. I love that I can make my appointment online without calling, although the receptionist are always super nice and helpful if you would rather call. I love that I never have to wait long once I get there and the salon is very nice and calming. Drinks are offered which is a nice touch. Sabrina did a wonderful job with my daughter’s long and curly hair and Luis just cut my hair and he did exactly what I asked for. I love my cut! Thanks Luis 💙 I also love the Paul Mitchell products. They are reasonably priced, work well and smell good 😊

I stumbled across this salon online as I was desperately in need of a haircut after coming back from holiday with dry, damaged hair. I amazingly got an appointment that day. I have mixed race hair so Im really careful about who does my hair, but Luis was a fantastic choice. I went in with photos and he told me what was feasible for my hair type and that he would get as close as possible to the look I wanted. I got an asymetrical haircut and bangs and I absolutely love it. He asked a lot of questions, checked the health of my hair and as a person is a really cool dude.Also the ambience of the salon is super cool and relaxing. Very modern with top-notch technological hair tools, etc. I really loved my whole experience and will definitely go back.

Best salon visit Ive ever had. From the gal taking my name for the appointment (so friendly) to the gal who checked me in today (so friendly). Getting my water in an actual glass on a little gold tray was special. Then, when I asked for coffee and Kiersten made me a French press? Wow. It was delicious and so nice. Then, the shampoo spa room was so appreciated! I loved that. And of course, the outcome of my hair was important... and she did an excellent job. Just what I wanted.

Katie was Amazing and conveyed knowledgeable salon style interests that matched my interests of style. Not only was the experience at the salon nice but Katie made it easy to talk to and I immediately trusted her with my hair because she understood my interests of what I wanted first and related them back to me. The salon is clean and the spa shampoo experience is wonderful that has Covid restrictions that are safe and friendly, so you can have the relaxing time and thats safe. I will be a full time customer coming from Ocala, FL (a hour and a half away). I walked out of the salon excited and refreshed with my new hair feeing rejuvenated and energized for my interviewing at the hospitals next month. All of that credit goes to Katie and with the help of Mikels The Paul Mitchell Experience Salon and great people who work there. I was in today and saw Taylor. I had donean at home highlight experiment a few days ago and it didn’t go as planned. I’m new to Florida and didn’t have a salon to call home yet. Oh my God. Ashley is a literal queen. It is absolutely imperative you get your hair done by her as she is an absolute mastermind. Not only is she extremely talented, but shes a GREAT listener. She dyed and cut my hair EXACTLY how I asked her to- and what I was asking for wasnt easy. Like a bleach, bright color, highlights, and cut! I am profoundly impressed by her every time Ive got my hair done by her and weve been in this hair stylist-client relationship for over a year now. By far the best salon experience I’ve had! I was searching for a good salon since moving to the area and I found it. I’ll be sad when we get orders to move away, because if we could stay, I’d be a lifelong customer. Luis is amazing! Super patient, took the time to learn about my struggles, explained to me everything that she was doing, and made my hair beautiful! Loved the salon and everyone working there. I really liked all the different stations for different treatments. The color bar was really cool and the separate relaxing room where they wash your hair and you can upgrade with massages and more.I needed a precision cut so I went with Luis and he did an awesome job on my hair. I’m 31 and, before moving to Tampa, lived in NYC, DC, LA and outside of Chicago. I sought out highly rated/reviewed salons and stylists (not to mention $$$$), but was never really satisfied with the results. I had never even been to the same salon twice ever in my adult life… That is until Katie!Katie is phenomenal with both cut and color. She is miraculously able to interpret my poorly described visions and delivers every single time. She makes my hair look better than I thought possible. Now Katie is stuck with me for life. UPDATE: I went in to get my hair fixed. This time they did a much better job. Im far more satisfied now then I was a few weeks ago.I’ve been here before and had a great experience. The first hair cut they gave me was a lob. My stylist did a great job and did exactly as I wanted so I booked her again a few months later (my hair grew out a lot) and this time I wanted layers and some bangs. The bangs turned out as I wanted them, but the layers on the back of my head (after I went home and showered the next day) were not even at all. My hair can be a bit coarse and it is very thick so badly cut layers show very visibly on me. When I saw this I asked to make another appointment as soon as possible to fix the bad layers. They were very accommodating and scheduled me, but on the day of my appointment I could see that my hair stylist was a bit offended. I tried to approach both the salon and the stylist as kindly as I was capable. The stylist didn’t wash my hair which I agreed not to do because it would take too much time and my hair was already straightened out so you can already see the bad layers. The stylist went in, did some more cuts and thinned out my hair some more. It looked like it was good, so I said “thank you” and left. Cut to 2 weeks ago, I straightened my hair again (I’ve been curling it a lot since the last haircut) and to my dismay and disappointment, there was a visibly blunt layer showing in the middle of my hair. I’m not sure why I didn’t see it when I was in the chair last time. It looked just fine then which baffles me! I’m so embarrassed now because I’ve been walking around at work and in public with this visible layer showing. I’ve already scheduled an appointment to get this fixed. Hopefully this time EVERYTHING will look good.

If you are looking for a an amazing place where not only they do a phenomenal job but also they treat you like a queen, this is def the place to go.I made an appointment a couple of weeks ago because I needed a balayage and a haircut (I havent done my hair in literally one year) so I looked here on yelp. The reviews were super good so I decided to give it a try.Upon arrival they had a sign up welcoming me by my name, they offered me coffee, water and a snack, they even brought a tray w fresh flowers!!Nora, my stylist is amazing, she listened to what I wanted, she was kind, patient and understanding. My hair looks GREAT! I absolutely love it and they even gave me 2 upgrades for free (I got an amazing shampoo and hand massage w hot towels)The price is reasonable and the service is literally out of this world!I highly recommend this salon and particularly Nora, hands down the very best!

Sabrina is one of the best and nicest hairdressers I’ve ever had. She listened to what I wanted and made it happen.She is the first hair stylist that was not rough with my hair and there was virtually no pain even though I had tangles. I will def come back and see her because of that.I choose Mikels from other salons because of the Lather Lounge experience. I was really looking forward to that but I was not offered the 2 free enhancements like scalp massage. I was really really bummed about that. Plus I was only in there for a few mins, I thought I would get more time to relax. Drinks were not offered either.My stylist was running behind that day so I felt that my time was rushed. At the end when it was time to curl my hair she wanted to get someone else to finish me up because her other client was here. I was bummed about that because I typically don’t spend much money on myself. But I splurged on a $65 haircut at a nice salon and went home with their mint holiday set, hair spray set and a mini root lifter.In the end Sabrina gave me an excellent cut and advice on products. I hope next time I won’t be rushed through and will receive enhancements at the lather lounge.

I dont trust my hair to just anyone. I have had some bad experiences and will go a long time without a haircut until I find someone that has experience with curly hair. If they dont have that experience they can cut it way too short, sometimes people will even just say they have experience with curls to get you in their chair. I went to Ashley and just from talking to her I knew she had the proper training. I not only came away w/out being over cut but with information to hydrate and tame my curls! She also did my color and I hadnt done it in a salon in years so it REALLY needed it! It was so worth it and I will be back!

I love this place! Nisey is awesome and takes the time to know exactly what you want and never makes you feel rushed. She sits down with you and goes over colors, pictures, what has worked with you and what hasn’t. My hair is long, messy, and sometimes hard to color. Ive been going to Mikels now for too many years to even mention and not only is Mikel the best stylist, but the team there is the most professional that Ive experienced. I have naturally curly hair and have had so many bad experiences pre-Mikel. Thats why when I met Mikel I was hooked! Ive always had the best haircuts, even with him changing up my look from time to time, which is not an easy feat :-o! Several years ago, I started taking our daughter Gabbi to have her hair cut there. She is on the Autism Spectrum, which causes her to have some sensory challenges. The team at Mikels have always made her feel so special and have worked to understand her and accommodate her special needs. One of the stylists that works there (Luis) even goes out of his way to Beat Box for her because he knows that she loves it. I read one of the recent reviews about a mother having a bad experience taking her daughter to the salon. First of all, my heart goes out to the mother because I know what its likes to have a challenging time with your child. Ive experienced many of these times with Gabbi. There have been times when she became so sensory challenged, that the only thing to do was to remove her from the situation/environment. However, Gabbi has always loved going to the salon and the team at Mikels has always made her feel special and included. One day, I even came in early and on a call, and Mikel invited Gabbi to join in on their team meeting. I have appreciated the great relationship that Ive shared with Mikel, Gerry and the whole team at Mikels and the fact that they have always made our daughter feel wonderful there, is icing on the cake!

I came to Mikels salon in a panic the day after an inexperienced stylist applied bleach and toner that left my hair with green highlights and damaged texture. He calmly assessed the situation, removed the green and restored a natural tone and texture with a deep conditioning treatment. Fast forward 6 weeks, and after more conditioning, expert trims and artfully applied highlights, Im getting compliments again on my long, blonde, bouncy hair!Mikels salon is also an oasis of calm professionalism. You are always greeted warmly, served a beverage on a tray with snacks and flowers, and transported to bliss in the Lather Lounge where you can choose two extras such as a scalp massage and a hand facial. Mikel’s is also a great place to get an expert blowout, since there is consistency among stylists, Paul Mitchell products, and that Lather Lounge! I’ve finally found my forever hair home in Tampa.

Joe took my damaged, multi colored, un-blended, previously dyed mess and transformed it into a a balayage with uniform color and no harsh lines!! Though it was a very pricey visit, for the quality of the service, I will accept its price tag (though my wallet would be happier if it cost less lol). Joe is absolutely amazing and has restored my faith in salons. I will definitely return. Thank you Mikels!!

Taylor and the staff at Mikels in Tampa are professional and gifted stylists. Taylor was my colorist/stylist. She is not only talented in her craft, she knows how to make her clients feel welcome and relaxed. I flew in from Boston and on a Saturday, last minute the salon was able to get me an appointment. Taylor performed a miracle fixing the brassy orange mess the Boston stylist created. I cant thank Taylor enough. The washing room is one of a kind!
