    I was in Fort Myers for a week and needed a haircut. Daves barber shop had great reviews, so I decided to go there. Great, genuine group of guys there. Glenn cut my hair, and being a month overdue for a haircut, he listened intently to what I wanted done, and he nailed it. I would highly recommend this barber shop/salon, and if I can find one like this back home, Id be a customer for life. Thanks Glenn!

    Iā€™ve been coming to Daveā€™s religiously for 14 or so years nowā€¦that should be all you need to know.Of all the places Iā€™ve traveled to or lived in, Iā€™ve never found a barbershop that offers what Daveā€™s does. Simply put: attention to detail. Dave (and all the guys at the shop), really take their time to make sure itā€™s exactly right, because they care about you and the service they offer. You wonā€™t be rushed out the chair here because quality is the brand.I get a high and tight with a beard trim, and Dave nails it every time. Always edged off perfectly with a straight razor blade and warm creamā€¦true perfection. I always leave with a little more pep in my step knowing how clean my fresh haircut looksā€¦Iā€™m always asked where I get it done. All the barbers are great here, and thereā€™s literally hundreds of years of experience in the room... you canā€™t go wrong. Iā€™ve never left without knowing I have a great looking haircut done right. Dave and his family have been barbers for generations and have mastered their craftā€¦matter of fact, Daveā€™s dad and son have been barbers their whole lives also, and are at the shop.This is an old-school barbershop, the only way to go. When that door opens youā€™ll immediately feel welcomed, entering in to an atmosphere of vintage memorabilia and old barbershop charm. Thereā€™s always a black and white western movie on to enjoy while you relax in the chair, which is sometimes drowned out by the humorous banter going on across the room. Every cut is completed with an old fashioned electric massager on the shoulders and upper back for a few minutesā€¦the cherry on top.Walk-ins welcomed and accommodated, but I suggest making an appointment. Half the shop is a salon for ladies also! Give them a try, and youā€™ll never look for a barber again. Just donā€™t ask for any good jokes here because they arenā€™t funny šŸ˜‰

    I recently moved to Fort Myers and was looking for a new Barber Shop. I had found Daves Barber Shop online and saw it received glowing reviews.This place did not disappoint.I was greeted when I walked in and the shop was clean, tidy and well-kept. The shop has awesome memorabilia and has an excellent atmosphere.I had the pleasure of receiving a haircut from Swede who gave me the best haircut I had ever received.     I live in New Jersey and here on vacation. I was in need of a haircut but had never gotten one here until today! I researched on my phone and found Daves Barber Shop. I was a walk in and they took me right away. Josh was awesome and gave me the best haircut Ive every had! I highly recommend them! Daves has that great old time barber shop feel and great service! Ill be back!

    Dave is a super nice guy and gives a great, quality haircut. He has great attention to detail and really listens to what you want. Im new to the area and was a bit nervous about having someone new cut my hair. He did a great job..perfect actually. He takes time to edge your neckline and sideburns with the straight razor. Nice decor and laid back atmosphere. There automatic shoulder massage at the end tops it off! Youll feel like a new man leaving this place! Price was great too!

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Dave is very meticulous in his approach and pays attention to every detail. Dave and his staff make the whole experience enjoyable.     I came across Daves Barber when i first moved down here and chose it based off all the great reviews he had. Let me tell you, it not only lived up to my expectation but surpassed it. If you are looking for a great, old school kind of barber than Daves is for you!!Dave takes his time and pay attention to every detail which i love. Dave take about 30 minutes per cut and he is in high demand so CALL AHEAD. Generally a day or so before! I love the atmosphere of Daves Barber and most importantly the cut. He always finishes off with a straight edge shave with warm shaving cream on the back of your neck and then a nice massage with this vibrating leather pad that just feels amazing.I always feel like a million bucks after I walk out of Daves and you will too!

Iā€™ve been going here since I moved to the area 2 years ago and Dave (the owner) is an awesome guy as well as all the others that work at the shop.     Daves Barber Shop is a classic old fashioned barber shop.The atmosphere at the shop is that of good-natured ribbing. You will get more than a haircut .You get a Barber!! Dave is a super nice guy and gives a great quality haircut.He asks how have you been, not how would you like it cut. His attention to detail is excellent, he really listens to what you want. Hes a master when it comes to the straight razor and the shoulder massage machine is a great finishing touch.Go to Daves Barber Shop and I bet you go back again just like I have. However, make sure you call to make an appointment with Dave as he only cuts by appointment. Nonetheless, one of his other barbers will take you as they also allow walk-ins.

    Best shop in Fort Myers hands down! Do not waste your time going anywhere else... TRUST ME!!! Dave is very meticulous when it comes to cutting your hair and he always strives to ensure you leave his shop happier then when you arrived. He always takes his time when cutting your hair to make sure it is cut just how you like it, and if for some reason you get home and realize there is something wrong, he encourages you to come back as soon as possible for him to make you happy! Honestly, most barbers are out there to just cut as many heads as possible to collect as much money as they can, but thats not Dave, he is there to establish a satisfying relationship with his customers in order for them to keep wanting to come back time and time again. Go to Daves one time and I bet you go back again just like I have been. However, make sure you call to make an appointment with Dave himself since he only cuts by appointment. He is that good! Nonetheless, his shop does allow walk-ins, but you will not be able to get Dave. Be smart, go here, and do not waste your time going from barber to barber until you eventually end up at Daves anyways since he is the best in town.. Not just professionally, but personally as well!

    Daves barber shopWhat can I say Dave is the best!I have been coming to Daves for years. He take pride in every haircut, you can definitely tell he is a master of his craft. You can get a straight edge razor shave, old school and definitely the best. Every stage of the haircut is on another level compared to any other barbershop I have been to. From the questions about the style you are looking for, to the hot towel and lather for the best straight razor shave. The haircut is then finished with an awesome neck massage. Daves is the only barbershop I recommend. The whole team is awesome, friendly, and extremely caring. If you want an old school quality barbershop look no further!

    Ive been going to Daves for years to have my hair cut, theres no other place to get your hair cut and be in a warm comfortable environment where you instantly feel like part of the family. Recently his son also works at the barber shop, making it three generations cutting hair under the same roof (Dave, John and Josh). His son Josh does a amazing job cutting my hair and also trimming my beard. I definitely recommend requesting josh for your next appointment. Best Barbers in town!

    On a scale from 1-10 Dave deserves a 20. Im in my mid 40s, somewhat picky about my haircut. Dave became a friend of the family since we met him 3 years ago at his location on 41 and College Pkwy. Hes been doing my hair and my sons ever since. Dave pays close attention to detail, especially to what my wife has to say about how sharp she likes her guys to look. He is very peculiar about that and will always ask if she had anything to say about the previous visit. Dave is very professional, very respectful and very friendly. Hope to have him around for years to come. By the way the haircut is topped off with a shoulder massage, outstanding service I may say.

    Best place in town. Old school charm and great prices. They even have a salon now for women. Dave the owner is a great guy, and one of the few barbers that actually listens to what you want done.     My experiences at Daves are always enjoyable. I have tried many barber shops around ft. Myers and I was not happy until I found Daves. This could be one of the most friendly places I have ever been to. The workers are ALWAYS happy and very talkative. They are moving to a new shop on May 4, and will be right off Cleveland avenue just south of college parkway by the taco bell. I highly recommend trying this over any other place. You will not be disappointed!

    This is a great barber shop, the barbers were welcoming and I left with a great hair cut. The shop was clean and had a laid back atmosphere. The hockey stuff marking the walls and the display was cool. Swede gave me a good fade when I asked for short clippers on the sides and a short style on top and he finished it up with a clean neck shave using a straight razor.

    I got a great haircut from Josh yesterday. I asked him to use his best judgement, and I ended up with something a little different than usual for me, which it looks great on me, and my girlfriend loves it. Last time, John cut my hair and did a pretty good job. Its a really good value for only $15. Both times the cuts were even all over and flawless (unlike some other places that charge even more). Im going back and I highly recommend them.

Dave, Josh and John are amazing barbers who like to get to know their clients and exceed their expectations plus the brief buffer massage you get at the end of each cut is my one of my favorite additions they do for their customers.

    I have been going to Daves barber shop since he opened in 2009. I just get a regular haircut, nothing fancy. Daves always fits the bill. Now that he has both his father and his son with him, it really feels like a down home place. These guys know their stuff. I usually walk in, I never wait very long. Usually grandpa, as I call him, cuts my hair. Occasionally grand son Josh cuts my hair, hes a good kid. There is also 2 other barbers, Ray and Swede, both good guys. you cant go wrong going here.

    Highly Recommended! If you are looking for a barber shop, this is the place for you. As the years march on, it seems barbers are headed for the same fate as the milkman. Daves Barber Shop is a welcome reprieve from the move towards great/sports clips operations.I have been a patron of this shop for more than a decade. When a previous owner, Del, passed away four years ago, I thought I would have to find a new barber or maybe even one those clips salons (yikes). Those customers who stuck around were blessed about one year later when Dave bought the business. Earlier this year when the shop moved, I followed even though it meant my days of walking there were over.I appreciate being able to make an appointment, so I donā€™t have to spend time waiting for Dave. However, if appointments donā€™t suit you, just show up and Mose will be able to seat you soon.Dave remembers you and how to cut your hair. He treats you like a member of the family, including the good nature ribbing. This is everything a barber shop should be. I dont want the place where my hair is cut to smell like hair care products -- it should smell like Pinaud or shaving lather, Daves Barber Shop fits the bill. Stop in and discover for yourself.

    I just moved to Florida in December 2015 and went a month with out a cut trying to decide on a barber shop. Being a barber at one poi t myself, I am kind of particular. I found this place and have not looked to another. I have had my hair cut by all but Dave himself and have been pleased everytime. Just met Swede yesterday. Good guy. He cut all my hairs!     I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for an airline layover, and looked on google for a place nearby for a haircut. I found Daves, and the awesome reviews dont lie. Short walk to Daves. Swede cut my hair and did an excellent job. The place is an old school barber shop with lots of sports memorabilia and classic rock music. I felt like one of the family after I met Dave, his father John, his son Josh, and Swede. You cant go wrong coming here for a cut. Dont forget to bring cash as its cash only, but very reasonably priced.

    After nearly 4 years of wondering aimlessly from barber chair to barber chair...I knew the second I sat Down I had found my home. The chairs are comfortable. The place is decorated with lots of cool vintage decorations. The staff is friendly, experienced and an overall joy to deal with.     I moved down to Florida having only used one barber my entire life. I searched surrounding areas for over a year trying numerous different Barbershops. Not satisfied at all until I stumbled upon Daves. Its just like being back home. An outstanding guy and a true old school barber.     Got my hair cut by Josh at Daves today. Josh is an 8th generation barber and son of Dave. Received an awesome haircut from one of the nicest, professional and personable barbers, ever!     Im in Florida a couple of times a year. I try to time my haircuts so I can get it cut here. John is the barber I go to. Always does a great job. He cuts exactly how I like it.     I came in ten minutes before the shop closed and came out ten minutes later with a great haircut for a good price of $15. John did a great job on cutting the top a bit shorter and touching up around my ears. He also cleaned up the back of my neck and gave me a free massage. Definitely coming back for my next cut!

    I ran across Daves Barber Shop because it was located on a frequently traveled route. After almost year of service from Dave and Moes I wouldnt think of going anywhere else, these guys provide a prompt, friendly, seasoned barber shop experience. During my barber shop visits I have met new people, gained valuable input and fell into a welcomed family style friendship with Dave, Moes and other patrons. If youre thinking of a new barber, they are well worth the trip. The shop is full of life, appropriately decorated and a fun place to take a break while getting your hair put back in shape.

    I am incredibly picky about how my hair looks. Up until I found Daves, I struggled finding anyone who could do a zero fade the way I wanted it done. I tried supercuts, great clips, hairmasters, you name it. Then I found Daves barber shop.Josh is the guy I go to regularly. Swede is very talented as well. The whole experience is honestly quite amazing and authentic. They go months without seeing me between haircuts but somehow greet me by name when I walk through the door. Its a tribute to the family feel that corporations have watered down over the years with rapid expansion and zero thought to customer experience.Im telling you now. Do NOT go to a hair cut chain. Itll be twice the price, twice the wait and HALF (or less) of the quality. I mean shoot. Dave even gives you a neck massage when theyre all finished. And for $15???? I happily and willingly pay $30 every time I visit.SUPPORT THESE GUYS!! Make them well known.

    100% Go to Daves!! Daves Barbershop is a classic old fashioned barber shop. This was my first haircut since moving from Boston area. Dave cut my hair perfectly and exactly how my last barber did up north. Both Dave and Moes are super friendly. Moes takes the walk-ins, but is off Wednesday. Dave is by appointment, call ahead, but spends a quality 25-30 minutes on your haircut and neck shave. The electric shoulder massage machine is a great finishing touch. This is my new barber shop for life.

    Simply put, Dave is the man. Just as the other reviews describe, the setting is relaxing and Im able to forget about work, the baby, and everything else (Unless Dave asks how things are going which he normally does). Dave has been cutting my hair for about 3 years now but I feel like Ive known him my whole life. Its a great pleasure to know Dave and an honor to sit in his chair, he does a great job every time.

    Great place with a great atmosphere. There is always an episode of Gunsmoke or Bonanza on the tv and you can just sit down and relax. Everyone there is very welcoming and it is a great place to go to get a haircut. Dave work on appointments only but there is always someone there to take walk-ins. Dont forget to bring cash, no cards accepted.

    Best barber in town! Josh does a great job every time. Dave, Johnny, Swede all are lengendary!Between the three generations of coiffeurs, there must be at least 200 years of experience. Iā€™m sure theyā€™ve seen and done any style you can imagine.Interesting fact about Dave is that he actually invented the ā€œcomb-overā€. But back before it was stolen heā€™d named it the ā€œside-saddleā€.
