I booked the Curly Girl Meetup Class hosted by Mo and I am extremely happy that I decided to attend this class. The information received was worth so much more than the cost of the class. Mo provided so many valuable hair care tips to take the necessary steps in caring for you hair. Not only did she provide us with information verbally she also supplied us with a Healthy Hair Blueprint booklet, this booklet is like a bible for hair care!! Mo exceeded all expectations with this blueprint, it has so much valuable information that you can literally become your own hairstylist. The class was full of great information but was also very welcoming. Mo and her staff makes you feel very comfortable because dealing with hair loss and hair damage can be emotional and hard to express how you feel about your hair. Mo also gave us numerous opportunities to ask questions, she provided us with refreshments and goody bags. I learned so many valuable things about starting on my healthy hair journey. I look forward to becoming a regular client and having Mo help me FLOURISH!! Thank you Mo for sharing your knowledge with us.

I never post negative reviews. But in this case I had to. I dont want anyone else to go through this experience.I originally requested a wash and go with a trim but asked for the taper of my hair to be touched up along with some twists. My appointment was with the owner but I was passed to someone else (last minute). My hair was not washed or stretched/detangled before it was cut. Unfortunately it seems that they do not specialize in natural hair COMPLETELY. Maybe braiding but NOT cutting,trimming, styling. Although the owner did not do my hair, I think it shows a lack of integrity to leave a FIRST time client with someone that inexperienced. And then charge $100+. Im so disappointed.BUT after posting the review, the owner was gracious enough to fix my hair and it looks so good! She also ensured that I was fully refunded for the prior situation.(Think of the first pictures as the before and the second half as after.) She really cares about her craft.Thank you again for your time and attention!

Love the salon the ladies are very professional. We have been here several times. I highly recommend this salon. Our stylist is Mel but the other ladies do a awesome job on their clients. Our Latest style was box braids looks awesome so happy with how it turned out.

Prayer. Today Mo prayed over me.1 year ago I started receiving hair care services from Mo. I appreciate Mo for her styling expertise. I appreciate Mo for her stellar hair care knowledge.Sometimes our spiritual intercessions come from unimaginable sources. Ms. Monique has a gift for hair. She has been doing my hair for the past 2 years and I appreciate her along with the braiders in the shop. I just got my hair dyed and treated and she did a great job as my hair was a mess ( thanks to myself) but she started me on a treatment that I will continue for the next few months. And again Im very appreciative for her services.

Beauty Braids and Beyond was just what I was looking for in a salon! Mo is not only warm and welcoming but she is incredibly knowledgeable about her trade and the community she works in. I am a teacher and mom with an incredibly tight schedule. Monique truly went above and beyond to get me in and accomplish my style in a timely manner. I left feeling better than I have in years! I am excited to have her and her team continue to care for my locs. Monique is a true gem in our community and so is her team!

Exhausted from dealing with uneducated hair stylists damaging my hair for a quick dollar, I reached out and started my first consultation with Monique about 3 months ago. Feeling completely lost about my natural hair she educated me on certain products and processes to help me maintain and grow my hair.I was able to reevaluate how I handled my hair, so with her amazing and safe protective styles as well as tips on the perfect products my hair is flourishing more than ever now!!She is always professional, funny, pleasant and most of all God-fearing. She has definitely gained a new and loyal client ❤

While Monique is excellent with sew-in styles, i would recommend going elsewhere for any serious braiding styles. She starts out well, but the longer the hairstyle takes, you can tell the sloppier her work gets. Furthermore, she doesnt use a straight razor to smooth out the hair so you have bits sticking out which she tries to cover up with mousse. So yeah, go to this place if you want a fabulous sew in, not actual braids.
