I went to this place about an hour before they closed a couple weeks ago because my daughter got a colmb stuck in her hair. The hair was wrapped around the colmb and somehow knotted up. I thought a huge chunk of her hair would have to be cut but the two women there very patiently worked to get it out with as little damage as possible and she left with curtain bangs which she had been wanting for a while. The price of the cut was more than reasonable, especially after the time they took to untangle her hair from that colmb. I really appreciate how well they handled everything and that they were able to remove it without ruining her hair. She loves her cut and I will definitely be returning here for her next hair cut!

I have had my hair colored and cut twice at this salon! The first time, I was just running through WalMart and saw Shelby the stylist: I had wanted the exact color and placement she had, so I stopped and asked for an appointment and she got me in right then after her appointment that she was working on.It was well done and she is such a sweet person and a talented stylist! I absolutely love her. Today she was off but Michaela did my color and cut today and again perfect execution and I added a little extra and she pulled it off perfectly. She is also such a sweet person and I love her personality too! So I’m blessed to have two stylists that are above and beyond! Both are so talented! I will continue coming here and I recommend anyone that needs a hairstylist to stop in and you will be amazed! And the prices are more than reasonable! Honestly the price does not reflect the talent and skill of all of the stylists here.

She is fairly new to being a stylist, having went to beauty school only two years ago, but with the assistance of her older coworker, Cheryl, she did a pretty good job on my hair. My hair didnt look exactly like I thought it would come out looking like, I asked for a short curly pixie style. The end result isnt as curly as I thought it would be. Tiffany and Cheryl were both very friendly and professional, though, and I appreciate that. They gave it their best shot.

I love my hairstylist Amber. When I went for my last haircut I was very disappointed in the atmosphere there. The manager, Felix, had the Spanish music roaring in the corner. There were no seats available but 2 young girls were sitting in the only two chairs available. They were NOT customers but waiting on someone else getting a haircut. I am not young so I stood there while another hairstylist ran and got a chair for a young man who just walked in. Terrible management and atmosphere in that place.

I stopped in for a color and trim while here in town. I explained to Felix how things have turned out in the past and he took everything I explained into his game plan. My color turned out absolutely stunning. One of the best Ive ever had, even from pricey salons. When it came time for the trim he recommended a new cut that would frame my face better. I would never have picked it out myself but was super excited with the end result. The recommended cut turned out fabulous. I LOVE it. All in all the salon is very clean. I have used Judy at this location two times and I am very pleased she does exactly what you ask her to do and she does very good work. Today I overheard a client asking for hair extensions and Felix told her he has not done extensions in a while, but that he would be happy to do extensions for her at 3 o’clock and he would do his very best. She really wanted to be done right then and said she was going to give a bad review online because he was not able to do her hair the moment she wanted it done. So just in case you read a bad review online about hair extensions, let me tell you I heard everything first hand and it was handled very professional thank you for taking time to read my review. I highly recommend services at this salon!

EDIT: I went back and explained the incident below and they had someone else come and touch it up. They were very apologetic, professional and respectful. Changed original 1 star to 4.ORIGINAL: I figured Ive got straight hair and I didnt need anything complicated, just a trim And some curtain bangs re-cut, how bad could it be? Martha, my stylist, argued with me when I asked for her to trim the bangs shorter and now theyre too long and the rest of my hair is uneven. She didnt even part my hair in a straight line to trim it. Ive had friends do a better job with kitchen scissors.

Alexa did my hair today and I couldnt be happier!Ive been struggling to grow out my previously fried hair (some lady in Georgia over processed my hair so bad that it melted like sludge and just fell off)I was so worried that either a.) My hair would over process again and fall out.But, Alexa managed to give me the most beautifully blended, natural highlights AND make my hair look and feel healthier!You cant even tell that Ive had chemicals in my hair. After a horrible experience at another salon yesterday, I called Lakeland Smartstyle out of desperation around 7 pm and was able to get in at 715! Tiffany was able to fit me in even though they closed at 9 and she worked miracles on my hair. She took the time to fix someone elses mistake and walked me through what she was doing to fix it. I never felt like she was rushing to finish! Even though she was still working on it after they closed. I am extremely impressed with her skills and knowledge! She is definitely an asset to Smartstyles!!
