    My first ever visit to a salon and I chose roots! IM SO HAPPY I DID!!! This is the cutest little shop with such lively, upbeat vibe. Though all the ladies are very sweet, Shelby was my stylist and OMG, she’s the best!!! Helped keep my hair healthy while giving it the life it needed! Went from brunette to this pretty red auburn color :)🫶🏼 10/10

    I recently moved to Gainesville from Charleston, SC and was in need of a hair stylist and definitely found the right salon for me-- Shelby was AMAZING! I asked for a very natural blond and she colored my hair exactly how I asked. I will be going to Shelby from now on! 10/10 recommend

    I absolutely love Janice Scelzi! She is so sweet and easy to talk to. She makes sure I relax and get the full salon experience. She is by far the pro when it comes to blonde! I always feel refreshed and beautiful when I leave the salon. I would highly recommend Janice to anyone!

    Janice is the absolute best, I am so happy I found her! She truly is a blonde expert and always has my best interest in mind. She takes her time and gives her expert advice in all things hair, even after hours. The salon is clean, modern and overall great atmosphere.

    Wonderful place to be. Classy and calm with professional skills. Kate worked on toning the low lights and gave me a quick trim with brushing. Photo is day 4 post hair care and it still looks great. Glad that I kept a fresh look during my weekend-vacation.

    Jacqueline was very accommodating and did a great job on my last minute trim and style. I have thick curly hair and she gave me a beautiful blow dry and iron style that still had lots of shape and looked fresh. Loved it and would definitely be back. Ambience is welcoming and staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

    I was so worried about finding a new stylist and salon after moving to Newberry. But after finding Jacqueline and visiting her beautiful new Roots Salon in Tioga, I knew I had found my new home. The salon is decorated beautifully with sleek, modern equipment and furniture. The stylists are talented and fun. Jacqueline is absolutely amazing!

    Weve all heard the old saying, third time is a charm, and this couldnt be more true for Roots Salon, stylist, and owner, Jackie. After over a year of searching and trying out two other area salons, finally success! This salon is just what the Newberry area desperately needed. The decor and color palette of the salon is reminiscent of nature, giving the space a calm and peaceful vibe. Being able to schedule your appointment with her online was huge plus too.As a stylist, Jackie is professional and a dream to work with. She listened to everything I said, asked appropriate questions, and addressed any concerns I had, which immediately put me at ease. This was a refreshing departure from my previous two experiences with other top rated salons in Gainesville.We agreed on a root color touchup, gold-toned teasy lights, and a haircut. I left the salon feeling amazing and with my hair looking exactly like I wanted. Each time Ive had an appointment her work has been consistent and the customer service has been of the highest quality.If youre in need of an experienced stylist thats professional, has high standards, provides consistent and excellent service, and who listens to her clients, I highly recommend Jackie.

    Roots has such a friendly atmosphere. Jacqueline has been my stylist since the mid 90s. She has created a warm, inviting, beautiful space with a group of amazing stylists! A five star experience every time!

    I had the pleasure of having Jacqueline color, cut, and blow dry my hair. She did an amazing job and is an absolute treasure. Not only is she an amazing hairstylist she is also witty and humorous. I definitely recommend her services.

    I have worked with Janice twice now, once for a hair cut and once a partial highlight. She’s been open and informative through both processes. I explained what I was considering and we discussed options and concerns before she ever laid a hand on my head. Then throughout both process we she asked questions and explained what she thought would work. For example, I wanted to try bangs (every girl does at some point right? Lol). Janice talked me through it, explained one side will be thinner due to my part, then cut. We checked them out, talked it over, and decided what to do next. I absolutely appreciate that she explained and helped me make the best decisions for my hair. I look forward to my next visit!!
