    We absolutely love this place! The food is 10/10 every time we go. Service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is chill and very clean. They also have delicious cocktails made with fresh, vibrant ingredients. A lunch date fave!

    Great food and drinks. The wife and I have been a few times now, and the food is always delicious, as are the cocktails. If youre a margarita fan, you have to try the chili blood orange margarita. Its AMAZING, the perfect combo of sweet, spicy, and tangy. (I didnt get a picture of the margarita, unfortunately) This time, I got the Royale with Cheese, a double wagyu cheeseburger that was easily one of the best cheeseburgers Ive ever had.

    Salad was very good. Veggie burger toppings were very tasty. Unfortunately the veggie burger fell apart or rather oozed out the sides. Service and atmosphere were great though!

    The burgers here are great. The restaurant is always clean from what I can tell. Love the dim lighting at nighttime. Outside seating options. Drinks are good and good value. I love the Black and Blue burger the most. The parmesan fries are the best part of the menu though, so absolute recommend. Service is usually up to par and very professional.

    Absolutely amazing food we were pleasantly surprised. Tonight was a first for my husband and I as a date night on Mother’s Day. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying something new on the menu. Our food was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the prime rib French dip with the grit cake that was amazing with a side of aoili. I had the tavern burger with waffle fries. Oh everything was mouthwatering good. Our server Will was knowledgeable and personable, he truly connected with us not just as customers but as people he truly cared for and that was a great experience. Will thank you, you truly made our night and the drinks were amazing. The entire atmosphere is great outdoor patio seating was lovely. Great job to all we absolutely loved it and will be back.

    Excellent eatery near Oviedos Center Lake Park with large shaded/covered outdoor patio dining area, and menu items with a nice mix of the familiar and some novel twists. The patio is raised above the street, with fans and closable panels so it can be adapted to the weather and time of year. There are several tempting starters/snacks and shareables great for something to munch on while talking with friends, but also some great options for entrees, sides, and dessert. The burgers are great, but my favorites are either the chicken stack, or the prime French dip sandwich. (The shrimp and grits are pretty good, too!) Staff is friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when things are fairly busy. Located in a very pedestrian-friendly area. We have enjoyed other Marlows Tavern locations (and the food!) but this one is our favorite. :)

    Holy smokes, this place was amazing! I stopped in as a quick bite as I traveled down I-4. I could not have gotten more lucky to choose a good quality quick bite to eat. Marlow’s Tavern was running a special with 1/2 rack of ribs, sweet jalapeño corn bread bites, fried Mac and cheese triangles, etc. it was absolutely perfect. In addition to the good food, the staff was full of smiles and very helpful. I truly felt welcomed. They have a full bar and loads of indoor and outdoor seating. Everything was quite clean. I would really like to patronize this place again in the future.

    Relaxed and Friendly classy establishment in the Middle of Oviedo in the Park. They offer a variety of food for different tastes and an assortment of cocktails and spirits. Highly recommended for a dinner date or group gathering.

    Sat at the bar to place a takeout order. Lauren was very friendly and helpful. Food was great, the only thing keeping it from five stars is the fries werent crispy but the flavor was excellent. Will definitely go back.

    We sat outdoors and enjoyed that there was no smoking on the patio. The kettle chips appetizer was great! I had the hamburger with truffle fries. Both were excellent. But, the best part was the chocolate cake dessert. Absolutely PERFECT! Perfect balance of flavors. This place did not disappoint.

    Went looking for a grouper sandwich for lunch and found one here. I skipped the spicy seasoning. It came on a brioche bun with jicama slaw and tartar sauce. Also a generous portion of fries. Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Will have to come back with the family for dinner.

    First time at this place and I was surprised with the flavors and how tasty was the food I’ve never tried a better nachos than these, very particular presentation btw, shrimp and crab with jalapeños 💯 my fave!!! My husband and my boys tried the burgers and they were ok but the fries are out of this world! And the truffle Parmesan from the appetizers menu are even more, the perfect crunchy and salty enough!!!!The place is a little cold and dark but I think it’s perfect to the tavern concept and the music was great tooStrongly recommend we’ll be back definitely

    Our waiter was Evan and he was awesome. The GM came out to welcome us as first time visitors. Food was exceptional and fresh, alot of inhouse sauces. Definitely a to go spot

    This was our first time there, myself and my son. It has a very nice atmosphere. They were pretty busy, told us theres be a 20 minutes wait. We waited less than 10 minutes and were sat! Thats awesome!I ordered the Korean BBQ tacos they have on special and my son orderd the kids Surf and Turf. Both were a very good size portion and tasted pretty good. The Cesar dressing was a little bland but good. My son thoroughly enjoyed his meal and finished every last crumb!We will definitely return!

    I ate here for the first time tonight with my girlfriend and I think we found our new place! Our server Eddie gave us some of the best service I have had in a very very long time, if not ever. He went above-and-beyond in every possible way. The food service, timing, and presentation was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was relaxing and casual, yet classy. We were given a professional and friendly table touch by the manager, and to top it all off all of the food was absolutely delicious! This is a must-have from anywhere near Oviedo! And I easily recommend even an out-of-towner to travel to taste as it is located conveniently on the park front for a nice walk afterwards. Easy 5 stars!

    Went for their brunch menu on a Sunday. Excellent service, the live music was nice, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the Pomegranate Mimosa and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes.

    I have been 4 times to this location in a very short window of a month. I cannot recommend it enough to my family and friends. Im working my way thru the menu and everything has been great. Shrimp and grits, French dip, fish tacos, Cobb salad, firecracker shrimp, tavern style chips, wings, fish dip, the crab and lobster warm appetizer, Kentucky butter cake, asparagus fries, poke, jalapeño grits. Everything has been deliciously prepared and hot and fresh. The service has been great each time. I even put together a last minute baby shower lunch and recommended Marlows to the group and it was a hit.

    I love the shrimp with fried grits and spinach. The sauce is amazing. it even reheats well. It’s a place we frequent. The food is very consistent. However, one time one of the waitresses changed the brand of the beer thinking it wouldn’t be noticed. It was! We didn’t appreciate that. The price wasn’t adjusted either.Now I’ve learned when waitresses bring you your drink and pour it out of the container. Then they start changing and not pouring it in front of you and it doesn’t taste right. They’ve changed products on you.

    Small menu but big on flavor. My all time favorite is Shrimp and Grit cakes. So goooood. But they have many other delicious choices. Get any sandwich and you get their fries. Best fries I have ever had.They have recently added some new items to the menu and you gotta try the Cuban Spring Rolls. The dipping sauce matches perfectly with the rolls.

    Service: We were a group of 13 people attending a business dinner. The restaurant was able to seat us before the reservation time, as if no change had been made to the original reservation. Our waiter (I wish I had written down his name to add to my review) was extremely friendly, polite, and efficient. Kudos to him!Food:- Appetizers: We had two types of flatbread and a hummus plate with pine nuts and cauliflower. All of them were served at the right temperature and seasoned very well. No complaints.- Entree: I ended up going with the Grilled Atlantic Salmon (Jumbo Pearl Cous Cous, Tuscan Kale, Grapes, Toasted Almonds, Red Wine Reduction). Everything (seriously, every single ingredient in the dish) was cooked to perfection. The only slightly negative point was the grape addition. I didnt and still dont understand how grapes fit in this dish, but I was not that displeased with the experience - maybe the idea behind it is adding a different texture, as grapes give us that gentle pop as the skin breaks, followed by their juiciness. I truly dont see how its sweetness compliments the dish though.Ambiance: Just the typical gastropub restaurant: a neutral color palette and comfortable seating. I didnt get any tavern vibes, but I wasnt honestly that attentive to the environments details. That being said, I did love the sarcastic/clever posters in the restroom.

    I like the location, especially the seating on the front patio, the view of the Ovido in the park corner is great. The food is good but sometimes the service is hit or miss. This one time we had to wait more than 30 minutes for them to provide silverware after our food was delivered to us, as you can imagine, our food was cold when we get to start eating. Just a heads up, service quality in a restaurant starts by making sure that the smallest things like this one is is covered at all times.

    Marlos is a great place to eat, the food, service and atmosphere have been great every time I have gone there. They have an outdoor area that is covered to sit and each which is great on nice days. They have a bar with TVs to watch sports and lots of liquor to choose from. I also go there for lunch as they have really good food.

    Celebrated my birthday at Marlows Oviedo - our service was amazing (thank you Anthony) and the food was even better!We had the chefs special white herb steak with smashed potatoes and bacon brussel sprouts. I hope they add this special to the regular menu - AMAZING!

    I tried Marlows Tavern and was very pleased. We did appetizers for lunch.The Tavern wings were good as well as the truffle fries. Service was very good. I loved the option of the out door dining.Update: Enjoyed Marlows so much went back again on a another trip. Three weeks time elapsed. It was for dinner. Place was busy but ample parking. Tavern wings needed to be crisper. The blue cheese garlic sauce is delicious. Slicer didnt work so French dip that was fabulous on another trip wasnt available. Get a new slicer it is wonderful! What is the wait? Tried Chicken Panini. It was just Ok! Service good. My guest had the black and blue burger. It was good. Consistency from visit to visit may be an issue. Service was attentive and consistent. Wish the food had been.

    Food is delicious! Get the black and blue salad. I replaced the beef with blackened shrimp. The red pepper bisque was the special and its amazing. Our server was very nice and very knowledgeable.     Great for a lunch where youre trying to impress someone. I had a pricey but delicious tavern burger with swiss and tavern fries. The service was great and our group really enjoyed the company lunch. The Ahi Tuna Salad was also recommended by our team.

    I ordered the black and blue burger and it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time! The fried okra was so fresh it snapped when I bit into it. The sides are generously portioned and the beer selection is extensive. The menu was eclectic and each member of our party were able to order burgers to poke bowls. All this paired with great service and atmosphere makes this restaurant a winner. We will be back!

    Absolutely outstanding! The food was delicious, but it was the service that put it over the top. The manager, Tony, was exceptionally friendly and made it a point to speak with us since it was our first time there. Our server was very welcoming, as well as the support staff. They were out of my wife’s entree order, but they had just enough to put together a half-order as a complimentary appetizer to make up for it. Even one of the cooks came out to apologize and say hi.Highly recommended this place. We’ll definitely be going back!

    Updated review: management called us and invited us back to hopefully have a better experience. We were treated very well by the staff, that was never the issue the first time. Staff was always very pleasant and helpful. We asked for a meal recommendation and followed it; food was very good. Highly recommend the honey mustard wings. Both of us enjoyed our meals and neither of us got ill as we did before. Based on this time, I would definitely recommend eating here!Really wanted to like this place. Gave it a two star because the service was really good. There was definitely something wrong with our food though that we ate on 3-8-19. We ordered a few apps - the asparagus fries, firecracker shrimp, kettle chips, and smoked trout. Approximately an hour after eating we both got violently ill and that lasted throughout the night. Something we ate was definitely contaminated so We will not be going back and I would not recommend eating here.

    The main reason I started off with 3 stars was because I could not do 3.5 stars.But, the reason for the original 3 stars, was because;The food selection was less than expected.The oil that the tavern fries were fried in was not a good flavor.The Chick Pea Fries could be rethought. (not a fan)- My friend S. had the center cut fillets, 1 of those was over cooked and the red wine reduction sauce was missing when the plate was brought to the table.I pushed this up to 5 stars when rewriting, because I understand business and the need for positive ratings, also, I would rather be positive.Also mistakes can happen. ... My friend S. got a replacement steak fillet, which was perfect and he received the red wine reduction sauce and said it was great.The Asparagus fries were pretty good, and the smoked trout dip was very good. (needs more pita chips to dip into it.)The atmosphere was great.The service was great for the most part. (drinks were refilled quickly, and a great recovery in the end by bringing a perfect steak and the sauce for it.)Would I come here again? Yes... it is likely I will be back on my next long work trip to Florida. I hope to have a 5 star experience next time.

    We stopped in to enjoy the Sunday Brunch and had a fantastic time. We sat out on the patio with our dog, the servers were incredibly friendly and the food was flavor packed.It was very nice getting to enjoy a Brunch menu that was still very well designed by the chefs. The plates were more than filling and the prices fair for the quality of food.

    Just wanted to share what a great lunch experience we had today. I coordinate a Cooking Club group. Most of our ladies are over 65 and concerned about outings during the pandemic. We had 11:30 reservations on the patio. Kyle was all set for us, when I arrived early. He provided us with socially distant seating arrangements most graciously. Veronica, our server was knowledgeable and efficient, even with our separate checks. Thank you both for being so accommodating and making my job a breeze! I know the ladies had a great experience!

    Ive been here 3 times now and each time my experience was perfect. The service has been excellent each time. Such a well managed restuarant. The manager stops by to ask about service and food quality. The servers are friendly, accurate and attentive. The food comes out quickly and is freshly prepared each time.Things I have had that were outstanding: jalapeno grits, grit cakes, truffle fries, salmon and chicken.

    I didnt order the wagyu burger but my husband did and after one bite I almost would have considered fighting him for it. Holy moly. Never had a burger that good!Everything we ate was absolutely delicious but it was also the first meal weve had without our kids in quite some time so the fact that I had a hot meal at all was a real treat. Seriously, six stars for taste. Everything was phenomenal. If you stop by and dont get the jalapeno grits, youre seriously missing out. Trust me.

I really wanted a salad, but didnt want chicken or salmon so i asked what options they had and the Chef offered to add a veggie burger and it was AMAZING.     Went on a Monday afternoon. Restaurant and bathroom facilities were clean, tho the womens bathroom was small and a bit cramped. We sat outside because the inside was cold. Service was friendly and prompt. My burger was thick and juicy and cooked to the correct temperature and the kettle chips were awesome. We had a party of 2 and the bill was about $35 tip included.

    I had rated this originally 2 stars by accident (thought I was rating a different company). This place was awesome. I had the French dip roast beef. It was the best sandwich I have had in a very long time! It was absolutely delicious. After I had the Creme Brulee, which just put the entire meal over the top of excellence.     I highly recommend Marlows Tavern. Place was clean. We ordered the Shrimp & Crab Nacho Plate.The Grilled Atlantic Salmon (so delicious!!)And lastly the classic Creme brulee (my husband ordered this, but I tasted it and it was the best I ever tasted . I had the Warm chocolate cake (pure heaven). Needless to say, we left nothing on our plates! Thats how good the food was! Our server was very kind and helpful, and the employees who were near the entrance, greeted us and made us feel at home. We will definitely be going back. I wish I had taken pictures of the food.

    This is our first time eating at Marlows Tavern. My wife and I have heard good things about this place. And we were not disappointed with the food. The server started off slow and appeared not very friendly, but as we started talking to her and asking questions she began to become more friendly. The menu isnt too big and also has a gluten-free menu. Our party really enjoyed our food and we will return to try other entrees on the menu next time.

    After visiting a couple different locations, I can honestly say I had the best experience Ive ever had this Marlows Tavern. Service was excellent in the food was very good. The Brie fondue was excellent. In just a tip, if you have any left save it for your french fries if you ordered any. The wings were great. The Cuban sandwich was okay, and about as good as you can expect from a non-cuban restaurant.

    Seriously one of the best dishes I had was a steak sandwich. Not exactly sure what it was but the meat had a cool, interesting taste. was expecting it to be warm but not sure if thats how it comes but it was perfect. I know, I know... 2 years of pandemic and being stuck at home and we finally get to go out to dinner and Im smitten with the first place I go...Seriously, the food was freakin delicious! Our server Lucas was the kind of server who understands timing. Just as we needed a refill on drinks, he was there. When we were ready to order, I look up - hes standing at the table. Were pretty easy guests, but still he was on top of everything.The floor manager Kat swung by, friendly as all hell, and chatted with us. She wanted to make sure we were good, which we were. Im not certain if it was Kat or Lucas who suggested downloading their app because new users get a discount on their first meal. So we did that and saved like ten bucks!And the sent us home with two homemade brownies in out to-go bag as a thank you. Weve already made plans to go back when family comes into town next month.So if you HATE delicious food and awesome service, dont go to Marlows - save the spot for someone who isnt a crazy person.EDIT: My wifes birthday took us to Marlows for a second time. The second visit was definitely different from the first, unfortunately. The food was still awesome, but there were a few *basic* things that werent up to a 5 star standard...For instance, wine came to the table in a dirty glass. Wine glasses are notoriously difficult to clean (because of lip gloss and waxy stuff like that), but still - gross.I happened to notice the salt shaker didnt have the top screwed on. Maybe a stupid prank by the previous customer. Regardless, when i went to tighten it, the inside and outside looked as if it had never been cleaned. I wiped it down (inside and outside of both glass container and top) and the amount of crud was pretty disgusting.Like I said *basic* problems - its been 2 rough pandemic years - new managers, new employees, new problems...The biggest (and most annoying) issue was that their taps were down. Now Im not saying that I cant enjoy a good meal without a delicious beer or three... I am saying we got to the restaurant specifically to hit the end of happy hour, so we could enjoy a couple of decently priced beverages.Unfortunately, the beer taps that were included in the happy hour specials, were not working. So I could buy any bottle beer I like at the standard (non-happy hour) price. The server asked the floor manager, who gave him permission to offer two (I would call) low-end domestic beers at a discount.I did appreciate the offer, as I know they could have offered nothing for the inconvenience. But that is not a 5 star solution (maybe not even a 4 star solution).We actually have family coming into town and theyve shown interest in going to Marlows - so maybe ill have another edit in a week or two.Until then, Marlows is a 4 (down from my previous 5) stars.

    My wife and I had lunch here 2X recently and really enjoyed it both times. They have excellent accommodations for outdoor seating, which is obviously great in the COVID-19 era, and really good food to boot. On our most recent visit we started with sharing an order of asparagus fries, which are very lightly breaded asparagus spears served with a citrus/tarragon aioli for dipping - which were great. My wife then had their very veggie burger, which was one of the best veggie burgers either of us has ever had. I opted for the grain & veggie poke bowl, also excellent, especially the addition of a sprinkle of puffed wild rice on top, a great texture component. I would suggest, however, asking for the dressing on the side, as I found it a tad too sweet. The service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

    Beautiful location! Thomas was our server. He was very informative, helpful and such a treat! Crab cake was moist and delicious. My friend had a veggie burger and it was so good he needed no condiments. I had an issue with my shrimp and Thomas immediately fixed it and removed it from the bill!     Marlows deserves 5 stars, and I will revise if my next time is better. Food was good, as Ive experienced in other Marlows. I admit Marlows also does a good job giving you a range of food options from more affordable to more high end. Likewise, they have a lot of bar options, very reasonably priced beers and cocktails. Atmosphere is great for a date, nice and dark inside or you have the covered patio area which is good even in the rain or heat. Now, my complaints have mostly to do with service. I understand they get busy, but we waited almost 15 min to get our drink order which took almost 10 min to come out and then almost 15 min for the server to come take our order, and our second drink order. Entrees actually came out under 20 min later which was good but my appetizer showed up later. All in all, from waiting 30 min to get sat, it was over an hour and a half to get food. Which, when youre hungry and the portions arent terribly big is a bit disappointing. Furthermore, we hardly saw our actual server at all, but rather the food runners. And while I appreciate the efficiency, it was hard to get our second drink order, which at least if youre waiting a while makes it more palatable. The staff were all very friendly, but our server made no effort to acknowledge the wait and honestly just dropped the check off without hardly saying goodbye. Thing is, at this point the rush had gone, it was 9pm and its not like I saw her working the floor much, besides if she needed help she should have informed her manager. Just left a bit disappointed.

    My family eats here frequently. The servers are always friendly and knowledgeable, there are appealing options for me despite dietary restrictions, and the food is consistently tasty. We have not dined-in since Covid began, but theyve advertised upgrading the ventilation system, and when we get take-out orders everyone on staff is wearing masks. When there have been minor problems with an order, the manager Mike has gone above and beyond to fix the issue and keep us coming back. Thanks for the extra grits and exceptional customer service!

    GREAT burgers. We’ve eaten burgers on the patio and also via a to-go order and both times they were AMAZING.The only slight critique I have is the price of the wings.     We’ve eaten at Marlow’s (Oviedo) several times and have always walked away so pleased.     Theres nothing not to love about Marlows. The drinks are great, I highly suggest the Blueberry Buck and the New Fashioned.     Really beautiful evening to sit outside on the patio. Wish the tables were a bit more distanced, though. Service was well-timed, efficient, courteous.     We were looking for a dog friendly place..and this hit the mark. They have an excellent outdoor eating area. The chef’s inspiration is evident in every dish and they really ensure your experience is always top notch. I love the Oviedo tavern, but you can expect the same amazing service at every location!Some of my go-to favorites and the Royale Burger - Add TBJ and the chicken panini, but you really can’t go wrong with anything. The Oviedo tavern always has an awesome selection of rotating beers as well. 10/10
