Jose does my Mothers hair weekly . I drive all the way from Miami for Jose to do my hair because he gets it the PERFECT color platinum blonde EVERY SINGLE TIME! The best part of my visits with Jose is his knowledge- he never stops perfecting his craft! Although he lifts my hair he has never once compromised the integrity of my hair! My hair is still long, strong and growing! He always makes time to get me in and his prices are unbeatable! My favorite part of service with Jose is that he treats you like family- he is easy to talk to and makes you feel so comfortable. I would give him 25 stars if I could!!

Jose did an awesome job with my hair. Not everyone can do textured hair. But Jose had no problem at all. He gave me the best wash, and my scalp felt so clean. I walked out very happy with the results. If you have textured hair and are looking for a stylist, I highly recommend Jose.

Best hairstylist around, and the only one I consistently trust to make my day special. I have very curly hair, and Jose does an excellent job of cutting, washing, and styling with 0 damage. Jose is also one of the kindest people I know and it’s always a treat to catch up with him while he makes me feel beautiful. Would give 1,000,000 stars if I could. The insanely affordable price tag is the cherry on top.

Jose did an amazing job on my daughters hair. It was her first time getting her hair colored and it turned out beautifully! The appointment was easy to make online and Jose reached out to communicate that the service would take longer than listed and we were able to come in earlier and have him take the time he needed. Today I visited Fantastic Sam’s and had the pleasure to have Ariel as my hairdresser. I asked her to give me a balayage coloring service before my first day of college. She was so sweet and walked through every step of the process. I was throughly thrilled with the results! I loved the vibrancy of the blonde and how flowy my hair came out at the end! I would definitely recommend going to her as she is very skilled and sweet! Here are the results!

Jose is my go to guy all the time. He always does a phenomenal job. We’ve been on a journey from red with highlights to now transitioning to brown with blonde highlights. He always consults me first with what he is going to do to my hair. Before Jose I had a bad experience and wouldn’t let anyone touch my hair. I’m so glad I found Jose these last two years my hair is more healthier then ever he only uses the best products in my hair. I found this place years ago after a less than ok job somewhere else. I was so lucky that it was Liz who answered. She fixed my hair and showed me a much healthier way to color my hair. She truly knows her mixology, and I dont think there is a color transformation she can not do. My daughter does vivid colors on her hair, and Liz always gets the intensity and colors perfect.

Jose is a miracle worker. He is kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable of his craft. He took my hair from a brassy, damaged, and flat brown to a brilliant black and purple bayalage. We spoke on the phone beforehand to map out exactly what I wanted, and the steps necessary to make it happen. Jose made sure to share the entire process with me so I knew exactly what to expect. He dedicated an immense amount of time and effort to do my hair, and he made sure to care for my fragile locks every step of the way. I have spent WAY more money at higher-end salons and come home not nearly as happy with the end result. Jose was able to lift, treat, and color my hair and it feels healthier than ever. Beyond his professional abilities, Jose is a great conversationalist and a genuine human being. The processing hours went by very quickly! I will definitely be back!

I have had my hair done by Jose several times... from a simple haircut, to regular root touch ups, to even a major color correction. He has done an amazing job... my hair has never been so healthy. He takes his time, listens to what you tell him about the style and cut you prefer. I would highly recommend him!!! But above all that, he is a positive, upbeat , and very professional person. I seriously hope he never leaves there!!! UPDATE: this review was about 6 years ago and I have now been going to Jose for color every month, and a wash and blowout every week . My sister has been going to him also, as well as my husband. He does an amazing job and were all still more than happy with him. We highly recommend him!

I had an appointment with Emily, and she is professional, hard working and knows what she is doing. She made it a point to listen to my requirements and give good advice based on her experience. Given that my hair is jet black and very voluminous, it took over 2.5 hrs, and she was nothing but kind and patient.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!The place is clean and staff is friendly. They are following covid guidelines, so the place is safe.Finally, i just loved how my highlights turned out. Exactly what i was looking for, couldnt have asked for more. 😊😊😊Picture below👇

I have naturally dark hair, but I love the bleach blonde look, and have been bleaching my hair for YEARS…my blondes have always ranged from white to brassy colors over the years. Sometimes having a rainbow of multiple shades of blonde Just because that’s how it ends up…my visit today, was last minute…I’m visiting FL from WI and had some time to spare…I walked in and Jose got me in almost right away! I told him about my issues with psoriasis and how my scalp reacts terribly painful with toner. He proceeds with the bleaching and then my heat processing while he continues on with another customer…Everyone here is like family! Laughing, talking, hugging…he finally gets me to the sink and lets me Know that he’s prepared a special toner for me that will pull some of my brassiness out and to let him know if it’s starts to hurt too bad…NO BURN!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! This is the ONLY time I’ve ever not wanted to shoot myself in the foot to make the pain stop…after a completely painless experience, we go back to the chair so he can blow dry, flat iron and trim. We have a very nice conversation The entire time about family, friends, Everything…we get to the trim part and he asks me to stand up…so I do, and he cut my hair while I’m standing…I didn’t even know that was a thing!! I’m 40 and this has never happened before…my hair is ABSOLUTELY perfect!!! I am telling you…I am going to start traveling from WI to FL just to have my hair done by Jose!! This was a FANTASTIC experience for me!!

I can not say enough about how AMAZING Zeque is! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE my hair!!!! We came together by mistake, as I was suppose to be booked with someone else, but it was fate. I have lived all over the US (military) and I have never had such a great result! My color and highlights are incredible and my haircut is spot on!!!!!! I have always run into either my color was good or my cut was good, but never both. Zeque did such an incredible job! Plus he is so easy to talk to so icing on the cake! After reading reviews, I booked a haircut with Jose. While getting my haircut, we discussed correcting/stripping my hair color. I had processed my hair at home to lift a dark brown and had bleached twice with box kits over a couple months to still have a lot of yellow and orange hues. We agreed on how to move forward and set an appointment . It turned out exactly as we planned! I havent been platinum in a decade but Im very happy with the results. Jose also advised me on how to maintain it until my next visit. He was knowledgeable and fun to hang out with. After being in Tampa for almost a year, I finally found a stylist/colorist that I will stick with! I highly recommend him as well as the salon. Everyone working on both my visits were friendly and had an overall great culture.

He recommended some products that I am still using today that have really rescued my hair since I had very dry and Frizzy hair. He works Sundays and Mondays. Go see him. You wont regret it!

I have never done a review on a business before, but wanted to write this review for Fantastic Sams and Jose Bautista. I went to Jose last year to get my haircut. I have lived in Tampa my whole life and never knew there was a Fantastic Sams at that location. I found out about him by doing a search for salons near me and Fantastic Sams was one of the ones that showed up on Google. I read the reviews and the reviews on Jose were really good, so I decided to call and went in to talk to him. Everyone has gotten a bad haircut and I got one last year on my birthday and explained that to Jose. I talked to him told him and showed him pictures of how I wanted my hair done. I have naturally curly and wavy hair. He was so very nice and listened to me and explained what would work and wouldnt and suggested what I should do. I was so nervous, because I had been growing my hair out from that bad haircut back on my birthday and he was so wonderful to take the time to talk to me before he cut it. I cant say enough about Jose, I have been to him twice now and he is always so very kind and down to earth and the way he cuts my hair is exactly how I wanted it done, I was really happy with how he cut it. Its so refreshing to get a stylist who really listens to how you want your haircut and he always tells me and shows me what will and wont work with my hair. Jose is amazing at what he does!! I recently received a very bad haircut and dye job that left me with VERY uneven hair and a chemically burned scalp. I called up Fantastic Sams for a quick fix and was so pleasantly surprised! I spoke with David first who was so sweet but was booked solid. I asked him for anyone else who could just cut a straight line. He assured me everyone there did great work and could definitely cut in a straight line. He gave me Anitas name and Im so glad he did. She did an amazing job!! I told her everything that had happened just a few days before. She was so nice and so gentle with my very tender scalp since it is burned like a horrible sunburn. She must have checked my hair no less than 5 times to make sure that everything was even, which sounds like a basic thing but its been years since my regular stylist had done this. And she had me check it before I left to make sure I was happy with it. I really cant thank Anita enough for doing such a great job on my hair and will definitely be back to see her!Also while I was there I was looking at the other ladies hair that was getting done and they looked beautiful! I went into fantastic sams in carrollwood today, and I have to say after way too long of paying 300$ for pretty much the same services at Ulta..I HAVE FOUND MY NEW SALON AND MY NEW HAIR STYLIST. ! YAY! Jose was not only recommended to me but his reviews online were shining. He is absolutely wonderful...the kind of stylist you would expect to see at a high-end salon. Very personable informed and, just all-around terrific! I am not someone who writes reviews usually... But it is a well-earned 5 star review... Thank you Jose and thank you fantastic Sams!!!

I came to fantastic sams on a busy Friday, I actually was referred from a great clips, and I am so glad they sent me away because I came here and got treated like a queen by David!! My hair looked so crazy before, was in desperate need of a tone job and a good cut and David took fine care of me. I had to admit and I told him how nervous I was because I came in had always been to salons but I came out looking divine!! I will definitely be back!!!

2/11/2019Ive been going to Fantastic Sams for about twenty years, having the stylist, Vicki Grayson, cut, wash and style my hair. For about the past ten years, my wife, two daughters, six year old grandson and three other family members have also been seeing Vicki to have their hair styled, washed and colored. Besides having an excellent stylist cut our hair, the prices are alot more reasonable compared to other hair salons. My daughter started taking my grandson to Vicki, when he was two years old and has always liked the way Vicki interacted with him, helping him to sit still as she cut his hair. Now, my grandson is excited to have Vicki cut his hair! My family and I have all been very happy and pleased with Vicki. She has always been very professional and accommodating.

3 Saturdays ago I spent $100+ at Ginger Snaps in Tampa. I went there to get my gray/whole head colored to my natural color and highlights. I left with gray hair missed and highlights that I didnt even understand the placement of them along with frizzy hair. A week later, she set an appt to fix, I went back. I was 11mins late & she didnt have time due to 2 other appointments she had at the same time of appt she set for me. I left crying. At 40yrs old I havent accepted gray and have used box for several years but wanted a professional look before the Holidays and my 41st bday. My old, hairdresser in NC, told me just go to any Fantastic Sams & show them what you want and ask them to fix it.Amanda Pena, not only got me as close as possible to my natural color, she gave me some great long layers and made me feel like I was 30 again. Walked out with the new women feeling with soft, silky, pretty, hair.Thank you Amanda for making me smile and proud to be 40 again. I will see you in 4-6weeks.

I have been going to this Fantastic Sams ever since my regular barber closed up shop and skipped town. I must say that I am not a big fan of the processed haircut stores like Supercuts and the themed barbershops such as Sport Clips, but Fantastic Sams is none of those things. It is a place where you can get a haircut at a reasonable price and reasonably quick. The man to see is Jose Bautista. He cuts both men’s and women’s hair. He’s always got a good attitude and doesn’t mind if you make special requests. He’s funny, he’s quick and best of all, he makes me look great. If you need to look good in a hurry, Jose is the man to see.

On August 5th.i visited this Fantastic Sams next to Stein Mart in Carrolwood. Where I met David for the first Time. Impressed by him we did a cut and full blonde highlight. This man is the most professional Stylist I have met in Tampa FL. Being in the Cosmetic Industry for 30 years I consider my opinion worth allotDavid is easy to trust explain what you like and this man has the ability to create with his eye His hands feel like Angels touching your head. His touch is so pleasant, I truly enjoy it when I am with him and he is fast. Every woman wants out of a salon as soon as possible.. So today Oct 4 2018 I am with David and I can not wait to see his creation.I will try to post the new hair he does today. Go see David you will be so Happy!
