I cant say enough wonderful things about this salon! The owner, John, is a wonderful man. He truly cares about his staff and his clients. It felt like a family atmosphere the moment I walked it. The jokes and gossiping were so cute and made me feel at home! John has the cutest little sidekick named Dexter, who greeted me at the door. He is such a sweet pup! My stylist, Paris...AMAZING!!! Highly talented with a beautiful soul. I didnt just leave with beautiful highlights today and a keratin treatment, I left with a beautiful new friendship today. Highly recommend this salon! The photos of my transformation are mind-blowing to me! I love what Paris did for my hair! I know you will too!

As a first time customer, I only have great things to say from my experience with Guys & Dolls Hair Salon. From the moment I got in touch with the salon owner, John (hope I’m remembering his name correctly), I knew I was set for a special experience. He was so kind and patient over the phone while explaining what I should expect with my first appointment with them. On the day of, I was welcomed by the staff and my hairstylist, Toni. Toni is an absolute treasure, and an incredibly talented one at that. She gave me the BEST CURLY HAIRCUT I have ever received. My curls have never looked better, and it takes an expert stylist that knows what they’re doing to be able to achieve this. Do your self a favor, and go to this salon! You won’t regret it.

This was our first time at Guys and Dolls and we couldnt have loved it more! This salon has so much style, history, sass and talent - its a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale. Owners Jonathan and Francisco are a dream team and treated us like VIP! Not to mention their adorable Salon Security guard dog, Dexter who cuddled with us while we waited during my sons appointment. My 14yr old received a cut and perm by John - who was professional, accommodating and perfectly coifed himself. Guys and Dolls has become my sons home salon and we HIGHLY recommend them!

I had a keratin treatment done. I hadnt done a personal treat for myself in a very long time, almost had forgotten about me and on a whim I decided it was time for a keratin treatment, something to boost my spirits for me and remind me I too am special.Adam was my guy who did the keratin for me. I was so pleased with the results. Professional and friendly and easy to talk to. He did a wonderful job. I certainly left with a smile and a bounce in my steps. 😀The staff overall were all very pleasant at Guys and Dolls. And lets not forget, Dexter 🐕‍🦺 the pooch, who extends a welcome to you at the door.

John worked magic with my color and trim – I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. Jessie was also a highlight – so kind, and attentive. Came all the way from Germany to get a haircut for my Cousin’s wedding. I wanted to get it styled because I was growing it out. Adam gave me a Men’s cut and we communicated and worked together to get it right. I sincerely appreciate his patience and attention to detail. I am extremely happy with my haircut. I always had mixed experiences with barbershops cutting my hair. I love my new haircut, thank you Adam.Recommended to those looking for men’s cuts with long hair. Or getting the right cut for special occasions. Fair prices, amazing service.I went in person and got an appointment for the next day, and if they had a slot. Johnathan called the same day and let us know there was a spot. We were 5 minutes late and they were kind and let me get a cut. 10/10 customer service.

I came today to get my hair down for the New Year. My hair was a mess, my color faded out, and gray hair out of control. I didnt know what I wanted. We spoke about different options and what would be best. She did not disappoint. Paris did an AMAZING job. The vision came to life and I couldnt be happier. My son also got a haircut from her and she did a fantastic job for him as well. As he is special needs she was patient and explained to him about the tools she was using and asked him questions before doing anything to ensure he wasnt scared. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone.

Wow 🤩 what a beautiful group of people I met today and such an incredible place, I was so thankful for finding. New to area I was looking for a local place for getting my hair done and looked this one up on line. Going with the great reviews I called and spoke with Jonathan (owner) who graciously told me if I came right away they could accommodate me. From the instant I got there I was treated like an old friend, Jonathan’s kindness explained a bit of the long history of the shop and a little of himself. I totally Love the decor.😊 I was introduced to Adam, who worked on my hair but also Jess, (the everything gal) who brought me my silk robe to wear so Adam could begin the color process. To say that the warmth & genuine love of their jobs and for people would be an understatement.Instead of feeling like a first time client by the time I left my appointment I was more like a member of their family. Adam did an amazing job, I especially liked his patience and precision doing exactly what the client wanted in his haircut, I observed while I waited for my dye to be washed out, which be totally nailed btw.Jess is amazing, a kind heart full of love and warmth. My experience with Guys & Dolls salon was top notch in every way. Jonathan who is the owner took my appointment by phone and texted me a reminder which I very much appreciated. I went for a hair cut and color and the appointment was my first time at Guys & Dolls. When I walked in I was greeted by lovely Dexter, Jonathans doggy and by a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home right away. I was assigned to Toni who did an amazing job with my hair color and the hair cut. It look about 3 hours but considering that I havent seen a hairdresser for about 3 years that was understandable. Im very happy with the results and definitely will be back. Love the place and this is now my go-to for any hair needs. Highly recommended.

10/10 Experience from beginning to end. John (owner) was extremely hospitable and proud of his shop, rightfully so. John (stylist) was incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and friendly throughout the entire process, I came in for a coloring and cut and he exceeded expectations. The rest of the staff that I got the pleasure of meeting were friendly and attentive throughout the entire process (Karen, Andrea, Francisco). From start to finish I was there for about 2 hours and I enjoyed every minute with them.

Francisco is never rushed with my service, he has mastered what I have been looking for during these months. He is extremely knowledgeable in color and cut. I decided to change my hair color for the first time in my life to blonde. I was nervous because I never had blonde hair and I am so glad I went to Guys and Dolls for my first time. The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time show me hair samples to determine the best choice for eye color and skin tone. They did an amazing and stellar job with the coloring and it came out better than I can imagine. Karen my stylist was accommodating, professional and determined what would make me look best. Everyone says I look so good and a lot younger. Guys and dolls have a customer for life. And yes, the salon has the cutest Schnauzer Ive ever seen who greets you at the door before being offered coffee ans snacks by the staff. And the lady who shampooed my hair was a gem and a sweetheart. I definitely recommend her just for the shoulder and neck massage.Thanks Justin

I had my hair cut and blowout with Anna and I couldnt be happier. I love my haircut and I havent been this happy in a long time. Even after I slept on it, My hair looks exactly the same in the morning! Thats a great haircut. Anna was very professional and extremely pleasant. She sat me down before my shampoo (great shampoo too) to discuss what I wanted, made suggestions and did exactly that. What impressed me the most was while she was cutting my hair she focused only on that and was not carrying on conversations with her co-workers. I didnt go back to the last salon where I got my haircut exactly for that reason. I dont care if you can cut hair blindfolded but you should focus on your job and customers and talk on your own time. Anna did everything right. I also love the vibe of the salon and of course fellow New Yorker, Jonathan!

This review is coming from someone who searches the internet for HOURS to find the right stylist, and critiques their work they post online. Lol. I am a diva & extremely particular. But I actually came here on a whim without knowing who was doing my hair. I got a light blonde balayage 3 weeks ago and regretted it. I was dying to go back to my natural dirty blonde color. I called & they got me in the same day with Toni. She, and everyone else were beyond friendly and it’s a plus they have cool art on the walls and a dog.My natural color is a dirty blonde with mix of auburn and gold undertones. It’s a very specific hue of blonde I wanted back - and Toni knew exactly how to execute. She got a near EXACT match of my natural color with all of the complex hues. Toni took the time to listen and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and was able to dye my hair back to my natural color. I was so upset for weeks because of how unflattering the light balayage washed my skin out. Now, she restored my confidence. Seriously impressed with the color match and execution. Thank you Toni. :)Update: Came for a refresh & haircut - haircut was JUST as request and Toni respected my request to keep my length. Love it!

I had the best hair cut of my life with Toni. I am not even one to write reviews but this is an experience to rave about. I have curly hair and wanted a bob cut. Toni sat down with me prior to even touching my hair to discuss the look I wanted to achieve. That is the most comforting thing a hair stylist can do! She really listened to me, cut it once while curly to ensure I was comfortable with the length, and cut more as I wanted. She even took the time to teach me how to style it with three different tools. I cannot recommend her enough for curly hair, or any cut in general. Also the salon was clean and everyone was so friendly. I will 100% be going to Toni from now on.

First time here.Owner is very pleased and friendly. Front of the Salon is cozy and I got called 2 minutes after my appointment, something that you don’t see often these days. I’m used to sitting an hour past my appointment-anywhere , so being seen within 2 minutes is amazing. My stylist was John. He has been in the biz for over 16 years and he’s very knowledgeable and pleasant. We had a little hiccup along the way but John was professional and very good and what he does. I went in there not really knowing what I wanted/ needed and I came out with the cutest pixie cut that fits my shape and compliments me well.Staff is pleasant to talk to and friendly. The shampoo girl ( I’m sorry the name skips my mind right now ) was friendly and did a great job ( and I forgot to tip her 😞) .I’m hoping they stay in business for another 16 years because I have found a place where I feel comfortable going on regular basis.Thank you Jonathan, John and the whole G and D team.

Anna took time from her busy schedule and told me more about my hair than anyone has in a long time. We talked about what could be done. I booked a date that day!Greeted by Dexter at the door one feels pretty comfy in the salon. Anna worked her butt off correcting and fixing my hair! I felt so pampered! She is so amiable; we talked about alot of things which made the time go by quickly.Do not be deceived by her youthful appearance. Anna is a talented hairdresser and altogether lovely person who strives to give you her best. I am hopeful my best friend will join me at my next appointment with Anna. Francisco is a great colorist and the color they use B.E.S. is AMAZING. My hair glistens until the next touch up. Francisco just did a base color and some lowlights and highlights to beef up my faded color and to add depth and dimension. His colorist skills are superb. I got loads of compliments and even requests for my colorists name and number. The rest of the skilled staff are so friendly! Jonathan manages the salon well and ensures client satisfaction. This has to be Florida’s #1 hairdresser. I really feel I struck gold finding this place. Jonathan, the owner, is delightful and my stylist, Raquel, was outstanding. I was having hair extensions replaced and colour matched. These had originally been done in London’s premier extension salon but, honestly, Raqual was so much better. Her attention to detail was incredible. She colour matched perfectly, fitted the hair seamlessly and she has the patience of a saint. Nothing was too much trouble. I left a little fatter after their coffee and cookies but one very happy new client. I will recommend to everybody!

I am spending the winter in Fort Lauderdale and needed to find a reputable salon to visit several times during my stay. I called a month before arriving in FL to discuss what I was looking for. Jonathan answered all my questions and booked my appointment with Francisco. When appointment day finally arrived, Dexter, the stylish salon dog (yup - his toes were painted blue!) greeted me upon my arrival. Francisco took his time evaluating my color and current hair style. He matched my color for a root touch up and gave a great haircut. The staff was friendly and talented. I watched several clients come and go - - -all who looked great as they departed after their appointment. I couldn’t be happier with salon and look forward to returning.

FEBRUARY 2024 UPDATE: I returned to this salon for a full color with partial highligts. Nothing has changed, they are still THE BEST salon Ive been to. I was paired with a stylist named Julie and her coloring and hair talent skills were off the charts. Again, ALL of the stylist are INCREDIBLY TALENTED. Your in great hands here and can really trust the stylist and the process. She also took time and told me how to take care of the color and keep it looking fresh.The thing I love most about this salon is ALL of the stylist are talented and specialized. What a unique and wonderful salon! I first came in for a free consultation and was really thrilled with the attention I was given. More than that, the place had a warm, friendly, unpretentious vibe, yet it still felt high end but without high end prices. After consulting with 2 of the staff, I was referred to Francisco and booked an appointment with him for the following week. Meanwhile, before I even went back, I told my friend about Guys & Dolls. She also had been looking for a new stylist. She went there there the very next day, before I did, and got a haircut that she was thrilled with. I think you found our place, she said to me. Today I went back for my cut with Francisco and all I can say is that the haircut and style Ive had in my mind for years, that no other stylist was able to fully comprehend, is now reality. This is not a place to get a style - they look at you and create the style that you already have but maybe wasnt completely coming out in your looks. After explaining to Francisco what I did and didnt want, he intuitively understood what to do and what not to do and was able to take over so I didnt have to micro-manage the way Ive done with other less accomplished stylists, and he really was able to achieve my vision in the result. Im a mature woman but I got a haircut that made me smile and feel youthful and MOST importantly, wont be difficult to style and manage myself, with a minimum of effort and product. Another thing I like is how spacious the room is so you dont feel like everyones eavesdropping on each other. My appointment today was a wonderful experience in every way. I have to travel pretty far from the other end of the city to come here but its totally worth it. Down to earth, experienced, extremely knowledgeable stylists, a warm atmosphere, very decent prices, and a wide selection of top notch products including a clearance bin with everything 50% off. This is a stylish place without attitude. Everybody I observed working just seemed to really know what they were doing and every client walked out of there looking great. Located in a little shopping center on 62nd right behind the New York Diner. A gentle little aging male terrier greets you at the door when you go in and he, along with Jonathan, the owner (wearing a Led Zeppelin T shirt), plus a very warm, friendly knowledgeable staff, all pitch in to create the wonderful, relaxed but professional vibe this place has. So happy to give them the full 5 star recommendation.

I had an amazing experience with Francisco, and my hair is not easy to work with. The color came out beautiful. Also, I’ve never had a keratin treatment and blowout the way he took care of me. Normally after I have my hair treated I have to put a hat on after, because only I seem to be able to blowout and style my hair… however for the first time in my life I was able to walk out of a salon looking good with Francisco! Cozy, professional, friendly atmosphere at this salon…. With John and Dexter greeting everyone as they walked in. Definitely recommend this little gem of a salon!

This is the best Salon Ive found in Greater Ft. Lauderdale area. I moved here from NY to Care Take for a family member & consider myself lucky to find this place. The charismatic eclectic owner, Johnathon, is an art collector. And he shares some of his collection in the Salon. Hes turned his Salon into his own Art Gallery for others to enjoy. My personal Stylist is John. Hes been at this Salon for years. There is something to be said about a Salon that can keep World Class Stylists like John for years. Youll never regret choosing this place.

Alex did an amazing job on my balyage it came out better than I could have imagined for myself. Anna gave me a great cut and listened as I lamented about my bad hair coloring job. She gave me lots of suggestions and choices and I let her go to town. I was so happy with the cut, color of my hair, and the lovely atmosphere of the salon. And everyone working there was so friendly and happy. Before going to my appointment I read a lot of reviews about John and how good he did on everyone’s hair. So I was a little nervous to see I had an appointment with a stylist other than him (my appointment was with Cris). He took his time, re-did his work if he wasn’t satisfied, and listened to exactly what I wanted and asked for. The end result of my hair went far beyond my expectations. Cris did an excellent job! Just wanted to say I tried guys and dolls salon for the first time today and let me just say Francisco was absolutely awesome!! He was honest about what he could and couldnt do with my hair because he wanted to protect my hair from damage and told me up front also told me up front about the price and he took his time and really made me feel great and comfortable actually all the staff and the owner Johnathan did there absolute best to make me feel welcome and valued as a customer. I came in with orangey brassy hair and left looking like a million bucks. I was stalking their Facebook page for about 9 months looking at the blondes before and afters. I found a couple that were similar to mine and I finally made the apt. Raquel took me into her chair and laid it all for me. She convinced me to cut off about 2 inches to give my hair a healthier look, after coloring for months my ends were so dead zombies were jealous! I did and I couldnt be happier. She saw the pictures I liked and recommended color that would compliment my facial coloring. I trusted her and she was very forthcoming. After 4 hours in the chair, it was worth it!, I looked so good and my hair was beautiful. I had dimension, I had depth, I had a color that looked fantastic! It was worth the time and Raquel was a miracle worker. Ive been to many other salons and each time, Id describe or show a picture of what I wanted and no one delivered. Raquel did! Everyone in the salon was so friendly and nice. I highly recommend this salon and if youre blonde, go see Raquel. Ive attached a pic of the behind of my hair as it shows the best coloring.

I could not be happier! Guys and Dolls was my salon up until 10 years ago when I moved out of so. Florida. I am now back in so. Florida and at Guys and Dolls again! My hair has not looked this good in the 10 years I was gone. It was great to see Johnathan, Francisco, and of course, handsome Dexter again. The salon has had a makeover since I was there last and boy does it look fantastic. (the most comfortable sinks ever). If you are looking for a makeover or perhaps just color or a cut Guys and Dolls is the place for you. They never disappoint.

I am from New York and the salons in NY do not use the same Keratin (forever smooth) that Guys and Dolls uses. Im gonna be honest when I pulled up to the strip mall I wasnt sure about my choice of salon. I picked it randomly on the Internet based off their photos and reviews while visiting from Chicago. 1st you walk in you meet Jonathan. Jonathan was just the sweetest. I had my hair done on Friday morning By Jacqueline. She walked me through everything I needed with pricing Once I sat down. Her and her assistant (new stylist) Julie was also a pleasure. I dont know how but my photos after getting my hair done or gone.The photo below is Sunday morning. Friday when I left I went to a lovely dinner party, Saturday morning was a catamaran trip Saturday night was Dancing and then standing out in the windy weather outside the breakers hotel by the beach. Sunday morning it still look this good. Granted I threw in a little dry shampoo, And I have amazing here to begin with I was impressed. Also I got a little brave and put some little tinsel strands in my hair while there and everybody loved them. Everywhere I went all weekend I got compliments on my hair. If youre ever in Fort Lauderdale or live there I highly recommend this place. Ive traveled the world getting my hair done, The expectations of a salon is that it is clean well managed and friendly with with amazing work.Edit. I found a photo of my hair from day 1. I would give this salon 10000 stars if I could! I went to this salon for the first time and I got my hair done by Betty the other day for a highlights, cut, and blow dry. My hair is super thick and curly (so not everyone can handle/do it) and it ended up being the best hair salon experience I have ever had in my life. Betty was so attentive to detail and the look I wanted, I couldn’t of been happier with the results. I was so nervous because I have not been to a hair salon in so long and she put me at ease and made the experience so amazing. I had an opportunity to work with Alex as she did an amazing job on my highlights. She did a superb job! I found Guys and Dolls on google by searching for best hair salons in my area and it didnt disappoint. Not only do they have a very cute and calm dog, but as soon as you walk in you feel like you are a priority. I set up an appointment with Johnathan, the owner, and he was not shy to try and make me comfortable and have the best experience possible. My hair stylist, John, did a breath taking job. He made sure to explain to me everything he was doing and why, and took the time to really understand what look I was going for and delivered the final product exactly how I imagined it. The location is questionable, but once you walk inside its extremely modern and clean. This was my very first time getting highlights, and I wouldnt trust anyone else with my hair from now on. I was specifically looking for someone who does the best blondes. Anna is an incredible stylist and a wonderful person who I enjoyed chatting with. Anna was able to correct orange yellow hair issues caused by at home bleaching. She made my scary hair beautiful. She also used the right colors for my skin tone. She is also a pro with hair extensions. She selected the perfect colors and applied the extensions perfectly. My before and after pictures are great. I love my gorgeous new look! I should add that everyone in the salon is incredibly friendly. Not to mention they have the cutest pup. Such a cutie. I’m getting married in a few months and am so grateful to have found this incredible salon.

I have been going to Guys and Dolls since July 2022. I was welcomed as a new customer with open arms. They transformed my box dye black hair into a beautiful dark brown with copper highlights. I go every 4 weeks and have had their keratin treatment, highlights, root touch ups and cuts. Shop dog Dexter is there daily greeting customers and just brings a lot of love to the establishment. Once, it was pouring down rain. POURING and Jonathan actually walked me to my car with an umbrella over my head! Thats some super service. Ana does my hair and you should call her!

I woke up on Saturday morning with my hair sticking straight up in all directions. Managing it all week had become impossible. Maybe he understood the severity when someone was calling when they open their eyes. I’m sure he’s heard terror in peoples voices beforE. He told me where the salon was located and at 2:30 that afternoon I arrived in the parking lot.I was completely thrown. This is like a little 7-Eleven shopping center. Nothing fancy. I certainly didn’t think that the best keratin treatment in town would be in this plaza. But then I opened the door…Inside of the guys and dolls salon is an eclectic, impeccably, clean, cool, color coordinated And funkily/elegantly decorated exquisite salon. It’s not surprising really when you understand that the owners come from Brooklyn and Brazil, respectively… Two of the most beautiful, creative and enigmatic places in the world.Their operation is second to none. The owners keep that place in tiptop shape and moving quickly. They treat their staff and customers like family.Not one customer looked like the same person when they left. Including myself.I got the best consultation and then Juliet put it into action . She changed my life in one afternoon. I’m so grateful that they made an appointment magically appear on a SATURDAY!!! that would wipe out the stress of my unmanageable Mane of hair.This is an experience you won’t want to miss. By far the BEST salon experience Ive had in a very long time!!! Jonathan the owner is very friendly and kind. He was so kind to my roommates dog Oreo too!! Oreo got to run around the salon, hang out and eat treats with the salons dog, Dexter. My stylist John really listened to what I wanted in a Bob cut, and also made great recommendations with the length of my cut. I was going to have bangs and his response was it will change the look of the cut and with this cut, you wont need bangs and he was right!! John was fast, but also took his time to make sure, the lines of my hair were perfect!! Even after he styled my hair, he had me stand up and check one last time to sure he didnt miss anything!! I was so happy to find this salon. From the greeting by Dexter, the adorable miniature schnauzer, to the super fun décor, it was a delight.My first hair cut was great so when I was ready for a keratin treatment, returning to Guys and Dolls was an easy decision. That was six months ago and my keratin treatment is still looking terrific. John did an awesome job on the treatment and the cut and I am thrilled that it has lasted so well. What a fabulous experience!Francisco did a keratin treatment, and cut my nasty, frizzy hair. I walked out feeling like a princess. Not only was the keratin great, but the haircut was the best Ive had. The entire experience was wonderful - I loved being greeted by Dexter, Jonathon was super friendly and we enjoyed looking at his collections of different things, the shop was friendly and immaculate. We all know how nerve wracking going to a new salon and a new stylist can be! Guys & Dolls had very impressive reviews and they were merited. The salon isnt much to talk about, but the owner and staff make up for it. Suzanne took about twenty minutes talking with me and making sure we both conveyed what our expectations were for my hair. She obviously understood my needs and I came out with a perfect result. My hair is naturally curly, colored, and highlighted. Suzanne took great care to keep it in good shape and make sure it was not dry. I love it and will definitely go back to Guys & Dolls and Suzanne.

5000 5 star reviews don’t lie! I was looking for a place to get highlights and a keratin treatment on semi short notice after removing my extensions. John stayed late for me and was very kind. I was nervous about letting someone color my hair since a stylist ruined my hair with bleach in the past, but he did an excellent job and retained the health of my hair. I have scalp psoriasis and he was also very careful about my scalp and didn’t put chemicals directly onto it. Great experience and would come back next time I’m in South Florida.

I was there for almost 7 hours, never thought Id be able to sit somewhere and get my hair done for that long in my life. It was my first time getting extensions in my hair and maybe the second time in a hair salon. Alex was really nice and accommodated my situation after I accidentally messed up my hair by going too dark while trying to match my roots. She placed in all the extensions and then went over and darkened the extensions so they werent super different and when I was not 100% happy with the color difference she came in early the next morning before I had to go to work and dyed and blow dried my 20 inches of thick hair AGAIN for free. Shes super sweet and even though Ive never spent so much money on hair, I see it as an investment and Ill see how long itll last. Either way I love it, I miss my long hair and it makes me very happy to have it back. I am obsessed with it, I love brushing it and braiding it and putting it up. You can apply heat, but you need to be very careful with that stuff ofcourse as you would your own hair so Im still learning. I plan to go back after a few more weeks and adding a bit more hair because the amount I bought seemed to not cover my entire head? I dont know. But Alex did a great job and after a couple of days of my scalp being a little sore from the initial installation, Im getting used to the added weight of the hair and I feel better and better each day. My appointment was for 12:00 I arrived at 11:30 cause I believe if you are on time your late at 11:45 I was seated in Franciscos chair we discussed my options and the cost I decided to get full head of hi-lights. It was a great experience!I was greeted by Dexter, the most adorable schnauzer, and the salon owner, Jonathan. I asked if someone had time to blow out my hair. I met with Francisco, one of the stylists, and after a brief conversation, I settled on color, cut and a keratin relaxing treatment. Francisco did my color and Michele did my keratin treatment and gave me great hair cut.I was pampered and totally enjoyed my visit. The staff is warm, friendly and very professional.When they finished, I have to say I looked great. My hair was silky soft and had lots of body. My hair looked great, not dead looking which sometimes can be the result of a bad keratin treatment.With all the hair salons I have tried in New York, none compare to Guys and Dolls. It is like no other hair salon I have ever been too, and now I plan on going down to florida at least 3 times a year so that they can take care of my hair . . .so that I can visit Dexter!I highly recommend that you go to Guys and Dolls - it is worth the trip!

John Kvistad is a talented stylist and colorist who also does keratin treatments. He really listens to what you are trying to accomplish with your color and cut. Its a challenge to find someone that does everything well, not to mention many salons dont even offer keratin treatments. Johnathan Tunis is very organized and keeps up with all the appointments really well. He is very personable and also very present, making sure the salon runs smoothly. Its often a busy salon so its a good thing that they have Jessie doing the shampoo and conditioning treatments. She has a warm, friendly personality and keeps up with several people at a time. She has also given me some valuable hair tips for keeping my curly, frizzy hair straight. I have been going to the salon for a few months now and I will continue to do so. Oh and did I mention Dexter! He is a well trained, very handsome, sweet boy.

I got a Keratin treatment with Betty- she is extremely experienced and did the best Keratin treatment I have ever had. I am not one to ever review a place online but when I had to switch places because my salon closed I relied on google for reviews. I went in for a keratin with Kat. She sat with me and discussed every little piece of my hair. I have been straightening my hair for years and it was so damaged and over processed. Needless to say I felt so comfortable with her, I had her do my highlights and cut as well. She was the most amazing person and takes pride in her work. I feel as if I made a friend in her as soon as I sat in the chair. She didn’t once say a bad thing about my old hair dresser she just pointed out how she could make my hair healthier. And that she did.. I’m hair is the healthiest it has ever been! She is amazing! I have already recommend two people to her because of the pride in her work. Jonathan is the owner and the one you make your appointment with. He’s such a sweet man! Trust me you won’t go wrong with this salon.

WOW WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I booked my appointment online and immediately got a call from Jonathon, who was a pleasure over the phone. I told him exactly what I was looking for and the next day I went in to see Kirsten for an extension consultation. She is amazing! She explained all of the different options with prices. I told her what I wanted and she even went and bought the hair for me. I have had every extension, done every way and I can honestly say Kirsten has done the best job! I went for my first time to get the Keratin treatment and a hair cut. Carl was my hair designer and he was awesome. Jonathan spoke to me over the phone and when I got there and between him & Carl, they did a super job explaining how the product worked, expectations and how to take care of my hair for optimum results afterwards. Anna is truly amazing and I cant tell you enough how happy I am to have found her and this salon. A couple years ago I bleached my own hair and it got completely damaged (duh, I was an idiot). I came to guys and dolls hair salon for the first time about 6 months ago and luckily had Anna who did the impossible and blended my grown out bleached hair line by adding low lights and highlights so I was able to stay blonde. Shes the first hair stylist whos listened to what I wanted (and I always want difficult things with my hair) and she has made it happen!My wedding is in 3 weeks so I went back last night and told her I wanted to go as blonde as possible without making my already fragile and self-damaged hair fall off. She did SUCH a good job, as always :)

I go in for very natural blonde highlights on my dark blond/light brown hair - Ive worked with three of their colorists, and theyve all done a smashing job. Communication is great and everyone who works there is committed to your satisfaction. After my last visit I spotted something I wanted tweaked and called them back - Jonathan scheduled me for a followup right away, my colorist made exactly the adjustment I asked for, and I LOVE the results! I am so very glad that I did!I arrived early for my appointment and was seen right away. My stylist Kat, gave a phenomenal consultation, asking lots of questions and pointing out different ways to improve upon the style I was thinking about. She recommended a keratin treatment and talked in detail about how cutting a certain way would benefit my hair type. She walked me through every step of the process, explaining and demonstrating how I could recreate the look easily at home. She was engaging and fun to chat with and made me feel comfortable with, what for me, was a big change in my hair. I couldnt have been happier with the end result. Just had my first Keratin treatment and Im so excited to see the results (in 52 hours:)! Rachel was great, she spent 4 hours working on me (highlights, cut and keratin) and was very pleasant throughout, even when I freaked a little over the cut (only took her 5 minutes). I have crazy curly hair and have never had a proper cut in so little time. That said she was very reassuring so Im going with her promise that it will be as great. Will recommend and go back.

Johnathan (the owner) from the second he got on the phone made me feel like a valued customer! I love this place. I found them several years back when I needed an emergency blow dry near the office, and they were open late on a Friday, which was really convenient. Kat is very creative and thoughtful about her work, and her cuts are great -- they style easily and even look good growing out. (Shes also an extension specialist, although I havent tried those yet!) And shes fun to talk to; everyone there is friendly, and you get the sense that theyre really into their craft, without being snobby. A shampoo from Betty is as relaxing as a nap! I love the décor in the shop - its like a funky little museum. I dont live or work nearby anymore, but will keep making the trip - kudos to Jonathan and Francisco for running such a great salon.

I LOVE this hair salon!!! I have very long hair (about 20 inches) and Ive been getting highlights since i was 13 years old. I moved to Florida and had a horrible experience with a hair salon in Hollywood- my head started smoking with the foils in and about 5 inches of hair BURNT off. I called Guys and Dolls and explained my situation, and they were nothing but wonderful to me since the day I started going to them. Kiki is my hair stylist and she does an absolutely amazing job!!!! She always puts the quality of my hair first, and is always willing to work within my price budget. I have gone to her to get my hair highlighted, get a style for a special event, and will be having extensions put in by her to fix my uneven ends.
