I had the WORST haircut at another salon - I had to stop the hairdresser and leave it was so bad. I call in tears and spoke to Ximena. She said to come right over. She was able to rescue my hair and fix the cut into a workable style while it grows out. She was amazing and calmed me down. She explains everything and took the time to really restructure my hair. I will NEVER go to another salon. I am a customer for life. I cannot recommend the salon and Ximena enough

What a wonderful SPA day my husband surprised me with at Rumors on the Water! Jazmine was the best at making sure it was everything and more! Began with a moisturizing paraffin feet and hands while I recieved a ageless facial. Then a gel nail manicure and pedicure. Next was a redo on my hair...dye with highlights, cut wash moisturizer and style. Break for a sushi lunch on the terrace. Then face wax and make-up. Jazmine is especially great with hair. Mine has never looked better. As she is an artist, she was able to suggest and do. I will be back every six weeks. Oh, did I mention it comes with a complimentary chocolate martini a specialty of Marcia the owner. An relaxing and energizing day! My husband is a keeper!

Rumours is the best salon I have ever used. The owner, Marsha is amazing. Her skills with hair and coloring is phenomenal. Recently I lost a great deal of my hair and no one could explain to me why. Marsha has been working with me and my hair is growing back. No matter what your hair is like - she will have you looking your best. If you have to wait a little for an appt - WAIT. Trust me, she is worth the wait! Also her houseboat is so much fun!

Grew up at the Selfish Marina in Palm Beach County and coming here to get my haircut makes me feel like being at home again...Friendly atmosphere with Good Vibes, I get my hair done by Jasmine and its perfect every time! Hands down best salon in the area. Great work at reasonable prices. Everyone is wonderful, attentive, caring, and friendly. You never have to wait more tha a few minutes and then you are warmly greeted and offered a drink- my fave is the chocolate martini - YUM! Cyndi always does a fantastic job with my color and cut, she is always open to new ideas and has an eye for what looks good on you. The whole crew is like a family, and I consider Cyndi my friend, as well as my hair artist. Can’t say enough about this angelic, charming salon...and it’s on a boat as well! I always look forward to my appointments. Highly recommended!❤️❤️❤️

I have been going to Rumors for years! Marsha and her staff are amazing at what they do. The best part is that I can tell everyone that I get my haircut on a BOAT! How cool is that?!?!?!!! I happened to find Rumors on line. I had gotten a terrible haircut somewhere else, and was hoping to find someone to fix it. Lucky me! I came across Heather at Rumors, and I cannot be happier.Heather listened to me, thought about what I said, and brought her insight and knowledge to the table. I am now seeing her regularly, and with very good results. She really knows her job, and is very professional yet quietly charming and friendly. This is the first time in my life I have been really happy with a hair dresser. Thank you Heather, and everyone on the very cool houseboat called Rumors. It is always a lot of fun being on the boat, and being treated SO nicely.

What a unique haircut experience! The business is in a boat sitting on the water. I have never had such a beautiful view for a haircut. The atmosphere was incredibly calm and clean. Haircut price was reasonable. 4 stars because eyebrow waxing was too expensive. Jasmine did an excellent, time-efficient job.

I love Rumours Hair Design! Heather is an absolute magician. I have been seeing her for years but really tested her recently. I was in the Bahamas for several months and didn’t do a thing with my hair. I had regrowth and my blond had turned brassy and yellow. Add to this the fact that it was always up in a clip and my normal color was still there on the back of my head. I knew it was asking too much for Heather to be able to normalize everything in one sitting. Boy was I surprised. She blended everything seamlessly and gave me back my beautiful color. I can’t recommend Heather highly enough. She’ll always be my stylist and color specialist in Ft. Myers!

An experience all on its own. Rumours Hair Design is set on the Calusahatchie River in the downtown area of Ft. Myers, FL and its a houseboat. Ximena was wonderful. She explained things out and listened to my opinions and viola, left there a new client. Loving my new style.They ofter nail design and massage as well as being color experts. The atmosphere was charming and the staff was lovely. Highly recommend even if one is in the area visiting and wants a treat.

This review comes from my wife, Marlene. Marsha and Pat are awesome. Marsha always finds a way to get me in when I fail to make appts when I should. I enjoy the Christian music played and the relaxing atmosphere, especially the gentle rocking of the boat. CBD cream is great!! Life saver when I recently hurt my back. Keep up the great service ladies, You Rock!!

This place is absolutely fabulous! All the ladies who work here are super pleasant and just fun to talk to. The salon is on a house boat! How cool is that! They have wine, beer, and super delish chocolate martinis that is made fresh! We were 6 in our group doing hair, nails and facials, and everyone loved the results. I had a pedicure with Ximena, absolutely loved it. Great place all around!

FRANCES always takes good care of me. When I settle into one their comfy chairs, I never get an anxious feeling thinking about the after as I always know Im in good hands. Ask for Heather -- shes a genius with resistant grays and highlighting. My goal was to transition slowly from a medium/dark brown to a light/medium brown with blond toned highlights, all the while covering very resistant grays. Each session accomplished subtle and flattering results. My mid-back length hair has never looked better. Five stars and thumbs way up on Heather; she knows what she is doing.

If you have been looking for THE place to go to get your hair done, I highly recommend Rumours Hair Design. In the almost 5 years Ive been in Florida, first year in Hollywood on the east coast and then moving to Fort Myers, I thought I would never find anyone who could do my hair the way I wanted it done. Then I found Rumours! I have been going there for about a year and after viewing their stylists on their site I chose Heather. She does such a fantastic job and Ive never felt the need to have anyone else do my hair. Having been a Redken girl for most of my adult life, I got introduced to other products which are amazing. My favorites are Nioxin Diamax and Joico products. Thank you Heather! My hair has been fine all my life. Once I got in my 60s it also started to thin. I have tried other products...the Nioxin shampoo and condition, as well as the Aquage Biomega products, which are all great, but my favorites are still the Diamax and Joico. Heather has taken me to short, fun and easy cuts to my now wanting to grow out my hair. The highlights are the best, the cuts are always great and you really have to experience the relaxed atmosphere while being pampered on a houseboat in the City of Fort Myers Yacht Basin. Life doesnt get any better than this. Heather...thank you for always making me feel special and looking the best I can.

I can’t recommend Rumours and Cindy enough. I absolutely love the atmosphere Marsha provides on the boat. Cindy is an amazing hairstylist, I just love her. Oh, and the shampoo chairs are so comfy!

Quaint, cool, laid back atmosphere. My glamour girl is Vicki who is an expert colorist and hair stylist. I followed her to Rumours from a salon on the outskirts of Matlacha. I live on Pine Island and YES, it is worth the drive!

I was greeted warmly, like a good friend. The salon is located on a large dbbl decker pontoon boat(very stable) at Ft. Myers Yacht Basin. Fun atmosphere for men, and women. A short walk to downtown bars, & restaurants. But most importantly, a great haircut!
