John and Lani are amazing!!!Upon entering the salon, you feel so welcomed by their kindness to the customers and their staff. It is just an added bonus that they do beautiful work, that also doesn’t chip or break, and lasts! I have never had my nails done so well, and I have been to a lot of salons in town trying to find the right fit! I am always very pleased with their work. John does my nails, but Lani is also so sweet and does beautiful work. I am so glad I found them!

Such a wonderful shop, that smells amazing, with very lovely, polite workers. I had an appointment at a nearby salon that was confirmed days before by the shop but turned out they are actually closed on Mondays... Sitting in their parking lot I searched for nearby nail salons and came across Lux. Reading their reviews I decided to give them a try. I am very glad that the other salon made the error they did. This was the best experience Ive ever had getting a pedicure in Gainesville. Ive gone to several recommended salons and had been disappointed by their cleanliness or care put into their work. One very popular in town shop was so rushed to get the next appointment that I ended up with 2 cuts on my toes and another on my hand. Here at Lux much care was taken. All of the tools were clean and the wonderful tech, Sue, took great care in removing my ingrown toenail ensuring she was not hurting me as she fixed my poor aching toe (pictured). I had originally setup for a regular pedicure at the other shop but she had recommended the Lemon pedicure and after reading it I figured, Why Not!? The smell was so amazingly relaxing that I will probably get it every time I return. Im glad to have found a nail salon that I WANT to return to. As someone with a back issue, who sometimes can not get to her feet, I rely on nail salons to help me keep my toenails trimmed up and my feet pretty. That being said I pay close attention to the tools used and the general cleanliness of the shop, as I do not want an infection. Weve all read those stories. All that being said, I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a good, clean nail salon with pleasant employees.

My previous review was not favorable, but I heard from the owner of Lux Nails and he said he wanted to make sure I was satisfied. He and his wife Lani had taken the day off, which he said was highly unusual, and wanted me to return quickly so he could have my nails redone. I was out of the area and had already made plans to have them done where I was, but assured him I would be back in about 3 weeks. Although I haven’t yet seen his or his wife’s work, his insistence that he would make things right shows me he is a man of good character and stands by his business. That is a trait that is hard to find these days. I will be back,

Lani did an amazing job with my hard gel nails! i showed her a nail art reference photo and a picture of a dress i wanted the design to match. she blended and enhanced the two ideas so well! i couldnt have asked for better :)she also accommodated my late appointment. my only availability was at 5:45 pm and i didnt realize how long the nail art process takes, so i booked that time. she still took my appointment request. i ended up being the last client in the shop, which i felt terrible about and apologized for, but she never seemed upset or rushed.all in all, im extremely happy with my appointment and so excited for my special event this weekend. 🌻

I am new in town and was trying to find a good nail salon. I came to see the reviews of this salon and everyone was pleased. Lani did my nails and I can honestly say nobody has taken the time to perfect my nails the way she did. I would give her 10 stars if I could. I was not scheduled for a pedicure, but as soon as I got done with my nails, I felt so comfortable in the environment that I was in that I got one and I do not regret that service either. Sophie did an amazing job and she’s super sweet. Her husband John was super friendly also. They will gain another regular client for sure! ☺️ So pleased!

I’m incredibly picky nail person. My length has to be specific my shape has to be just right and it’s really hard to find someone after I’ve been going to somebody for 56 years. I have tried a lot of nail salons in Gainesville. I haven’t liked anybody. I stumbled across ms. Lani’s instagram. Her work was stunning beautiful and honestly the best I’ve seen in awhile, I’m glad I was able to make a sudden appointment and I went in I showed her nails I liked for ideas. She did exactly what I wanted to the T! She did the shape perfect the length perfect. The designs on my nails are gorgeous. I would take photos now but I’m a little late on this review. Please forgive me, but I will do photos on my next visit, they’re all really nice and take care of you it’s a great place to go!Thank you for the reply! I’ve been here twice now after a not so good experience at another salon in the area and WOW major difference. It is a little pricey for college students ($25 for gel re-polish) but the customer service is so worth it.I never wait when I come here, they service me immediately, have positive attitudes and smiles, and it’s never crowded. I’m almost always the only person here. My re-polish felt like an entire pedicure and I loved it. Thank you!

I had a different tech who was a guy and he did rush through my mani. In the end, it was good. We got there bc I had to ask him to shape my nails, and I kept checking them to see if it was even and asked him a couple of times to fix minor misses in the cut/shape. He was really nice and friendly. If I came again I would prefer to be booked with one of the women.He did remove my gel with an acrylic nail. That was interesting as I’d never seen that done before. Not sure if that’s the best for the nail bed but it was super fast!
