    My twin sister & I have been seeing Chelsey for 7 years! Ive recently started doing fashion colour so I have to lift my hair. Through her knowledge & experience she is able to maintain the integrity of my hair so that is stays long. Shes always educating herself on the latest trends & newest conventions of hair care. In fact she is so talented other stylists come to her for advice. Also, I never know what I want & she always helps me decide. I love her creativity & passion! I cannot recommend her enough! I do not trust anyone else w/ my hair!!

    This was my first time going to Mode Aveda and having my hair done by Kayla! I could not recommend this salon and Kayla more highly. After living in Gainesville for 4+ years, I have tried a few different salons but I never found a stylist that I loved. Today, I can happily say that I LOVE how my hair came out. I came in with no inspiration pictures and an unclear idea of what I wanted but nevertheless, Kayla captured my vision perfectly. She was so friendly and checked in with me throughout the entire time she was coloring/cutting my hair! Additionally, the salon was clean, bright, and trendy. I can’t wait for my next appointment!

    Went to Josette and she was amazing!!! Came in as a worn down blonde wanting to go brunette but still keep some dimension and she outdid herself! My hair came out feeling so much healthier and looks gorgeous. The before and after pictures say it all.

    This review is a LONG time coming. First, I have been seeing my stylist Chelsey for 7 years. I found her by chance when my hair was ruined at a diff salon. She literally saved my hair. Anyways, when she moved on from her previous salon, I followed her to Aveda and we couldnt be happier. The vibe is modern and fabulous, not to mention the products are amazing. But I really must highlight the service. If you are looking for a talented and professional stylist, this is the place to come. I highly recommend Chelsey, make sure to book in advance as she is in high demand. You should know that I love to lift & tone my hair and add fashion colors, which is hard on your hair regardless. If it werent for Chelseys expertise, I doubt I would have the hair that I want and love. I cant say enough great things about this salon. Just go! Youll love it! I always get SO many compliments on my hair!

    I am new to the area and researched several salons before settling on Mode. I was looking for a salon that followed excellent COVID protocols in addition to having a good reputation. I found both at Mode. I’ve been twice now and have been impressed both times. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and supportive of one another with frequent consultations between themselves.My stylist, Maelee, does a great job and takes the time to listen and confirm before picking up a pair of scissors. I’ve been happy with my cut and color both times and plan to return every six weeks.

    Fidelity is amazing….. she’s honest and will tell what works for you and what’s not suitable for you. Fidelity has done my color and style it several times ….. I have nothing but great things to say about her…..people shouldn’t come with expectations to have someone make you look like a model picture….that’s something not achievable unless you are model from the picture…. 😬😀

    I was looking for the first available appointment for highlights, which was with Brent. I’m so glad, because he did an amazing job! He was very methodical, considerate, and definitely achieved an end result I’m really happy with. So happy to have found a stylist/ salon I trust in Gainesville!

    The hairstylists here are very skilled and fantastic at making the hair you want into reality! I wanted a balayage but wasnt sure how light I wanted my hair to get. They totally exceeded my expectations, and kept my hair healthy! I got my hair done in October and the color still looks great. I 100% recommend this salon!

    Chelsey has been doing my nephews hair for years! At the recommendation of my sister I too began seeing her and WOW! She’s done a phenomenal job from color, to cut & tips and pointers along the way for styling she has been the best! She always delivers on my hair goals & makes sure you leave feeling your best! The salon location is very convenient, nice setup & everyone is always very friendly. Love the communication and reminders leading up to appointments as well. 10/10

    Josette is amazing. She really took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and was honest with me about what she thought would work for my hair. Her balayage technique is flawless. I got layers & am super happy w them. Ive honestly never been so happy w my hair. Was pricy (about $290 for cut and color) but worth every penny and in my experience, affordable compared to other quality salons, especially considering Josette spent four hours on my hair. Ive also had wonderful experiences w Kayla (no longer works there) and my mom & sister love Emalee. The front desk staff has always been so kind and helpful. Highly recommend Mode Aveda to anyone looking for a new salon:)

    1123 NW. 76th Boulevard Gainesville Had my first visit with Chelsey , she sire did have her work cut out for her and did an amazing fix on my hair, went in feeling horrible about myself and left feeling like a Queen! The whole environment is beautiful and calming, I recommend anyone to go there! I will never go anywhere else! I think no matter who you see there will do good for you, but I will never see anyone else besides Chelsea❤️

    Master stylist Chelsey Rayne (IG: chelseyraynehair) took her time cutting my naturally wavy/curly hair while it was dry to make sure her initial sculpting of my haircut fell naturally for my hair type. She followed this detail-oriented approach throughout, applying the perfect concentration of lightener to my formerly jet black hair to achieve a radiant, glowing, seamless balayage. Chelseys assistant Morgan (Tik Tok xmoonsnmagic) encouraged me to stay hydrated throughout the day, cool during the foil and comfortable during the wash and condition as I have a neck injury and needed extra accommodations throughout. Both worked as a team, laughing and supporting each other throughout maintaining a fun and professional atmosphere. I will without a doubt return back to Mode Aveda specifically because of these two fantastic women who gave me my new crown!! Thank you!!

    After much internal debate I decided to color my hair again. I just didnt like the mono culture my hair color had become. So off to Mode West and into Karens chair I went. I couldnt be happier. Ive been here a few times now and Ive always left feeling listened to, cared for and happy with the results. Today was no different. Thanks Mode and Karen for my awesome hair highlights! See you in 8 weeks!

    I had my hair cut by Chelsey, and she did an incredible job! I have never liked how my hair sits on my head, and I think that was partially due to how my haircut was and how I have styled it. Chelsey was a great listener, and she was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about her craft. She gave me a cut based on what I wanted from my reference photo *and* what would look best with my hair type and talked me though the entire process (+ gave me soso many great tips!). For probably the first time ever, I am happy with how my hair looks and will be going back!

    Chelsey was my stylist and gave me an amazing cut today! Honestly, it is the best haircut I have had in years! I usually go from one hair stylist to the next (searching for a good fit) because I am always disappointed in the results as well as the care and attention to detail that is lacking during these cuts. Chelsey spent additional time after the bulk of my haircut to double check that everything was right and looked good. I have finally found someone after all of these years that I will return back to for future cuts. She is a true hair artist!

    Best cut I’ve had in Gainesville. I have thick curly hair with an under cut (because my hair is so thick). Chelsea is GODDESS! loved her personality and her talent was perfection! Worth every penny to have a relaxing time with someone who made great conversation and gave me the perfect result! Found my go to stylist!

    Ive been going to mode for well over 10 years now. The stylists have always (for the most part) been great and my hair loves the the products. Chelsey has been styling, cutting, and coloring my thick hair for 5 years now, and since Im indecisive I let her decide whats going to look best and she has never done me wrong. Its sometimes hard to find a stylist that you click with, and Chelsey is very easy to talk to and laugh along with .. I hope I didnt make it harder on myself to make an appointment with her now

    I have been a client of Chelseys for approximately 4.5 years. She is awesome! My hair is extremely thick. During this time, it has ranged from long to short. I have tried many different hairstyles and colors, and Chelsey has literally nailed every single one. Initially, I would tell her exactly what I wanted, even if she told me it would not work well with my hair, I would do it anyway but she was always right. Now, I pretty much tell her I am ready for a change in style and color and let her choose something and she is always spot on! She dry cuts my hair because I always want to see how its going to lay when its dry. Plus, she has special shears she bought herself that are made to dry cut and wet cut.She now picks my colors & will mix several different colors to create the perfect color with built-in highlights that looks so natural. I get an unbelievable amount of compliments when I have my hair done, from both men and women which is unusual.Finally, I would just like to say that shes an awesome person, too. She is extremely caring about her clients and has a great se if you are lucky enough to be scheduled with her, you will not be disappointed!!nse of humor. We have a good time.

    I had my first experience here today with Chelsea and it was a great experience. I got balayage highlights and Chelsea was extremely thorough and precise with not only the highlights, but also the cut as well. I was also impressed with the natural products they used and the healthier methods they used to let the hair sit with the color in it. Also, I very much appreciated Kayla, who was so personable and sweet and did an amazing job blowing out my hair and doing nice 90s style waves! It is a gorgeous salon and I will be returning.

    I was a little apprehensive to call another salon for a haircut after trying salon after salon since my favorite salon closed during COVID. Today I was very happy. John did an amazing job. He looked at my pics, talked for a few and we worked out exactly what to do. He was friendly, intuitive and obviously very good at what he does.The salon is casual, yet stylish. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet yet full of energy. I would definitely recommend Mode Aveda Salon and John!

    I havent had a big haircut in 16 years. I wanted my hair cut very short but also wanted a stylist who knew when to stop. Chelsea was absolutely perfect. She paid very close attention to detail and made sure I got the best cut for my hair type. I love my haircut!! She also found a way to fit me in for a coloring even though I didnt schedule it. I have an appointment for highlight and tones and Im excited to she what Chelsea has in store for my hair.

    My hair changed a lot after having kids with texture change and postpartum hair loss. I was not too keen on spending money on what I told myself would be a hairstyle Im sure I wouldnt like and told my husband to just grab some scissors and cut my hair. Luckily for me, husband told me to book an appointment with a professional. I am happy to have been scheduled with John. I told him my hair challenges and that I was looking to get a hairstyle that was low maintenance. He for sure, delivered. In 3 years, I have not been this happy with my hair. It is versatile and looks nice styled, and after a wash and no attention, still looks presentable. Big thanks from this busy, sleep deprived mother. Its nice to look in the mirror and look like a person again.

    I had never been to a hair salon before and this was my first time ever treating my hair. I got a balayage and I absolutely love it! It looks SO natural and I got lighter hair at the same time without having to dye it. After reading so many reviews too I see so many good things about Brittaney and I was fortunate enough to get her! She is so nice and is amazing at her job. The service there is great.     Shandel has done my hair twice here and shes always fully booked so my most recent cut was done by faith. I needed a professional hair style and she consulted with another hairstylist to help turn my Mohawk/mullet into a cute pixie. They ensured I would feel confident for my upcoming interview! Their store has since relocated, but every visit was very welcoming, modern, and clean. Im very excited to see the new space soon!     I had an appointment with Sharon at 11:30 am. I came in 30 minutes early and Sharon was able to get me started a few minutes after my arrival! That was a huge bonus for me! She consulted with me, made me feel super comfortable! I had The Owner of the store and Sharon working on my hair and I loved it! I booked an appointment in the next few months to properly get an relaxer and another amazing haircut from Sharon. As my first experience I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

    I never leave reviews, but this cut is worth it: Josette was fantastic. She knows her craft and takes time to get it right. Ive lived in several different states and know Im typically going to get a decent cut with Aveda locations nationwide. I scheduled my first cut since moving into town and luckily picked her from the lineup. She was pleasant and intelligent with style for days. She tailored my cut to fit me specifically and refined the details until it was perfect. I highly recommend Josette!!

    Sharon is wonderful! I used to come to Mode West a few years ago but then moved out of state. I have worked with different stylists and love all of them. I am so happy to be back. Their customer service is wonderful and they always improve they quality of my hair. Sharon gives great tips and is fun to talk to! I highly recommend her!

    I had the best salon experience I have ever had in Gainesville at Mode Salon West! I was instantly greeted by the receptionist, Krista, and was offered a drink of choice. She was extremely welcoming and polite. I was completely impressed by the wonderful staff and professional service I received. I made a hair appointment with Shawna. The haircut was absolutely amazing! She did exactly what I wanted and more. As a first time customer to a salon you arent always exactly sure what your experience will be like, but Shawna did such an excellent job I left highly satisfied. I have not been able to stop raving about this salon to all of my friends. I highly recommend trying out this salon and making an appointment with Shawna!!

    I have been going to Mode salon West on a regular basis for over a year now. I would not go anywhere else. Brittney is the best! She always listens to what I ask for and my hair always turns out awesome. She has transformed my hair from Blonde to Brunette with Red tones and highlights, I try to challenge her with different styles and colors and she always achieves exactly what I am looking for effortlessly and without any damage.     I just wanted to let everyone know, especially the owner and staff, that Nikki, is by far, the best stylist/color expert that I have ever had! I’m from Naples, FL and I have had the same stylist forever. I am currently in Gainesville helping my mom. He spent so much time with me to make my hair fabulous! What he did with my hair was pure art!! My hair was a mess during this pandemic. Not only did he do a fabulous job, he was funny, witty and I enjoyed my entire experience there!!     Mode Aveda is a great place to get your hair done around here! I got my hair cut by Maybelline and she was lovely. She was very kind and gentle. She made sure nothing was wrong often and made me feel very comfortable. I told her something along the lines of what I wanted and she executed it perfectly! Truly a great job❤️

    I’ve been coming to Mode Salons for several years and followed them from over beside TJ Maxx to their new location in Butler Plaza. My first cut from Chelsey was when she repaired a crazy midnight with the kitchen shears I can’t stand my COVID hair haircut. I’ve been coming to her ever since and she’s lovely. My hair is super thick and has lots of cowlicks and she takes the time to make it look good and easy to manage every single time! She is amazing and if you can get an appointment with her, I can’t stress how much you should take it. Bonus: she doesn’t feel the need to engage in incessant small talk, so you can totally relax during your haircut, knowing she’ll do a terrific job and won’t be interrupting your thoughts to say something inconsequential. 10 out of 10 stars.

    I love this place! Not only is the decor and service superb but the skill is perfect too. Brittaney took great care with my hair especially since it’s relaxed and is a great conversationalist. I’m doing a complete 180 on my hair so it’s in two sessions and I already love the results. If you want to get anything done to your hair, this is definitely the place to go.

    Absolutely love Mode Salon! I adore Jimmy and he never lets me walk out looking shy of a 10 out of 10! Their staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable of the products they use. This is not you average salon but more like a get away, I always feel so relaxed during my appointments. Every time I go I learn more and more about new products and what works best for my hair. After finding Mode I will never trust anywhere else but here with my hair... Can’t wait to go back and see what Jimmy has in store for me next!

    I had my hair cut by Sage, and they did an AMAZING job. They gave me a literally life changing cut. They told me that they researched and planned out the whole cut before I even came in to make sure it was perfect. The attention to detail is unmatched. Highly recommend!!     My first time at Mode West and Ill be back. Monica Thompson cut my fine hair this past week and did a really good job. She consulted me about the kind of cut I wanted and discussed possibilities. As she was cutting my hair she noted my hair was thicker on one side than the other and took that into account as she cut, something I really appreciated as I had noticed the difference. . Ill be seeing her again in 5 weeks.

    I followed Sharon from a previous salon because she is so great. She has transformed my hair so many time due to my desire to constantly be changing. My natural hair is dark brown and she is the only stylist who has ever successfully given me blonde (not orange!). She is honest and a blast. Every time I see her I not only get fabulous hair but I also get a nice therapy session =P. Mode Salon is amazing. Aveda products are a little pricey upfront but let me tell you - you get what you pay for. Their products are the only products that dont completely dry out my hair or strip the color. I am a huge fan in their use of primarily natural ingredients. Five star rating for Sharon and five star rating for Mode Salon!

    I rarely get haircuts and, prior to today, always got cheap haircuts at places like great clips. This place was surprisingly affordable and very good quality, my hair stylist was so knowledgable and sweet and did a phenomenal job. I was surprised by the additional personal touches like the Aveda tea when you walk in, the peppermint oil shoulder/neck massage, and the arm and hand massages included in the haircut cost. The entire time, I was thinking what a magical place. Will be returning for future haircuts :)

    I love this salon! I am a repeat customer and I cant say enough good things about this salon. Most recently I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon. She was tasked with correcting my color to bleach blonde from 5 months of grown out roots. I also requested mermaid hair. I wanted multiple different colors and she brought out samples and inspiration pictures and then designed a custom look just for me! The result was a gorgeous galaxy coloring of blues, purples, and pinks. She created formulas that were cohesive and blended them so it all came together beautifully. I also love the Aveda treatments they offer. I take advantage of the protein and other treatments every time I go so that I keep the integrity of my long hair strong. The salon itself has a relaxing atmosphere perfect to meditate and lose yourself in your thoughts or conversate with your stylist. The aromas of the Aveda products are very soothing and pleasant. I also enjoy that Sharon was able to collaborate with her fellow stylists for different perspectives and points of view. I will continue to return to this salon because it is in a convenient location, light-years ahead of any other salon Ive tried in the area, and I never leave disappointed! Please go pamper yourself and ask for Sharon!

    Mode is the best salon by far in the Gainesville area. They have highly trained artists that will help you get the best color and cut for your hair type and style. They use only the best products and are an environmentally conscientious business. They are friendly and professional!
