    Mel was great! Every part of working with her was easy and painless.Before meeting she communicated well via email, text, and calls. She showed up on time, ready to go. She was time efficient, a calming presence and a hectic morning, but most importantly the great hair and makeup! Everyone was very happy with how they looked, and love the little hair accessories she gave them. It was a delight to work with her, and Im glad we chose Mel.After the wedding I had a mix-up and accidentally overpaid, I contacted Mel and she resolved it without any issue, very much appreciated.

    Mel and Jackie were a fantastic team! Highly recommend trusting their styling for any event. They communicated throughout my planning process with the planner, they showed up on time, very professional, fun and a pleasure to be around while us girls got ready on my wedding day! We switched to an updo for the wind and Mel even stayed onsite to pin up my front curls after my first look & so final touch ups. We each loved our hair by Mel & make up by Jackie!!     I dont know where to begin Mel is AMAZING!!!! She made us look so beautiful on my wedding I cant even begin to tell you how happy and satisfied I was. Easy to work with at all times very responsive to my crazy late night text and calls. Gave her honest opinion on ALL the picture and styles I sent her and never once did a text go unanswered. I cant not say enough about her and her amazing work. If you are looking to have the best experience and the most talented artist around look no farther...... you have found her! She became a great friend during our time together prepping for the wedding and joined us for our special day too.....she just is an amazing person!

    We decided to go down to the Keys to elope and having Mel there was like having a maid of honor! Looking for someone to do my hair and makeup was the most stressful part of eloping until I talked to Mel. I just knew she was a great fit!! She went above and beyond and made it a personal experience and helped calm my nerves. Mel did an amazing  job with my hair and makeup on my special day. I asked for a natural look and she nailed it!! She really is a true artist and clearly loves what she does.

    WOW….dont know where to begin. I had a special wedding to attend in Key Largo and came in from Pennsylvania. Had no idea where to even look for someone to come to my hotel room to do my hair & makeup when I found Mel. She was AMAZING! Not only did she do a fabulous job on my hair (updo) my makeup, my face, my eyes looked flawless and simply stunning! She was professional, kind and very sweet that we also became long time “distant” friends! I received so many compliments by other guests and my fiancé kept telling me how gorgeous I looked all night! Thank you for coming to my rescue Mel and making me feel and look like a Queen!

    I hired Mel as a referral from my catering company as I don’t live in the keys and had no idea who to use. I was doing a 9:30am ceremony and it was impossible to find someone that would do that early of a ceremony. She came to our property at 5am like a BOSS and was ready to work. She did makeup and hair for me and my maid of honor. I am extremely insecure as I’ve gained a lot of weight the past year and I’m 35 so my skin is far from perfect. When I looked in the mirror I was fully prepared to have to give her notes on things I needed fixed (I’m extremely picky about my brows) and I CRIED. She made me feel better than I have ever felt in my life with no direction at all. My makeup lasted ALL day in that heat drinking and playing in the sun. My hair was perfect and most importantly… my man was blown away. I cannot thank Mel enough for making me feel the way she did. She was perfect. And such a dream to work with. Thank you Mel!!

    Hands down the best blowout I’ve had in years!This is coming from a woman who gets two a week!I found Mell on google ,while vacationing in the keys ,she Was able to squeeze me in the next morning!“I had dirty beach hair “I had called a few others salons in the area ,no call back !I highly recommend Mell ,we got to talking she even does makeup for weddings !

    Melissa is absolutely amazing! I have very long, dark brown hair and Melissa made my blonde dreams come true. She is one of the most patient, caring, and detail oriented hair dressers that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The first time we worked on my hair she sat with me for over 8 hours! She has never complained about how much hair I have and how long it is and has never rushed the process. She will sit with you for however long it takes. I am super picky about my hair, it’s my everything, and Melissa has always made sure that I leave absolutely in love with the work she’s done. She will continue to add highlights and continue to cut little by little until I am satisfied. She is also meticulous in making sure that whatever she does to my hair is going to be the least damaging possible, while still making sure that I am satisfied with the end result. Melissa goes above and beyond for her clients, she is such a delight to work with. She is the ONLY hairdresser that I recommend to anyone and everyone that I know.

    The most amazing hair stylist and makeup artist! From the moment I met Melissa, we immediately connected! Not only is she friendly and easy to talk to, but she is professional and experienced. She walked me through hair recommendations because I know nothing about choosing the right hair extensions. I showed her a semi-messy mermaid braid look during our trial and Melissa made my hair look even better! It turned out so intricate and delicate on the day of, perfect for the Florida humidity. I wore hair extensions for the first time, and it was so comfortable, I did not even notice it! For my makeup, I was unsure what I wanted exactly except I knew I was going for a more natural, beach vibe and Melissa worked her magic! She knew exactly how to accentuate and enhance my natural features instead of making me look like someone else! I was blown away by how beautiful she made me look and feel that day! She also did hair and makeup for 3 of my girls and my goodness, do they look gorgeous! Melissa knows how to do many different types of hairstyles and makeup looks. One of the ladies in our bridal party was unable to arrive early in the morning with everyone else, but Melissa stayed for as long as we needed her. We are from out of town and our hair reacted differently to the Florida heat, so Melissa offered a different hairspray for my husband to use on the day as well. She really does go above and beyond, and we are so grateful for her. Everyone complimented Melissa on her hair/makeup expertise as well as her sweet personality. It was so fun to have Melissa celebrate with us on our special day! It was truly an honor and we highly recommend Melissa for all your hair and makeup needs before and during the wedding!

    Amazing experience!I booked Beauty and the Beach for my destination wedding and I cant say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Mel!Booking a destination wedding I knew I would not be able to have a trial before the day but Mel was responsive and the pre-event communication took away all my worries.On the day of both she and make-up artist Lex were so great!Having not done a trial Mel was able to give everyone the hair style they wanted based on pictures and even was willing to make some last minute changes to make sure everything was perfect.Hair/make-up can be on of the more stressful parts of the day but both of their attention to detail, listening to each member of the bridal party, and their positive energy really made for the perfect morning. They both made sure everyone looked and felt their best!

    Such a great experience. My mom, sister and I all got updo’s for a wedding. Melissa was so sweet and helpful with not only our hair but the surrounding area. She offering up ideas for food and fun around the area. Weddings can get overwhelming from time to time but she helped make the whole experience relaxing and easy. We all loved our hair, got lots of compliments and didn’t want to take it down.

    I have so many great things to say about this company! First, Melissa was quick to respond to all of my inquiries (and I had a lot!) I had a bad experience with a previous company and I was so relieved I never had to wait around to get a call back. She had such a laid back personality and made me feel like a friend instead of a client. She helped me find my hair accessories and actually took the time to look for ideas and send me pictures. She also cuts and colors so I was able to get my extensions dyed by her to match my hair color. Life saver! My hair and makeup on the day of was perfect and her team (we had Ella and Fernanda) made my girls look and feel amazing. I would recommend Beauty & The Beach to any bride!

    Mel and her team handled hair and makeup for my wedding for me and 4 bridesmaids. She also did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal party. I have A LOT of hair (waist-length and thick) and she did an amazing up/down curl look for the rehearsal party and a part up/part down for the wedding day and I got constant compliments on both. The girls all LOVED the way their hair turned out and all of the make up looks. She was great at listening to everyone and giving them what they were asking for and also knowing what worked best in the Florida humidity. She was also super responsive in the planning/scheduling stages which took a lot of stress out of the process. Her prices were very reasonable and I highly recommend her!

    I was in Key Largo for a wedding. Melissa came on time to my hotel room and finished at the time we agreed. I asked her to use my own eye makeup because I had just gotten over an eye infection.     Mel is a wonderful person. She is very mature and gets LIFE in general so it’s always a treat to see her all by myself. I’ve seen her in action at weddings but my selfish thoughts are that she makes ME look my best and my daughters too who range from 13 to 20. Including one w a Down Syndrome that just loves her. This is a genuinely happy human being with joy in her work. So full 5 star recommendations and I hope you stay here forever and ever and do my kids wedding hair and make up....please at least the eldest two?? Lol

    Melissa is amazing! She completely changed my hair. I have been getting highlights (long blonde hair) since I was in the 7th grade! But my hair became a mass of blonde with no variation in color and she knew I needed some dimension. I trusted her and am so glad I did! My hair has never looked better! I get compliments constantly. She even helped me to grow it out and always has listened to what I want and what’s important to me me. I won’t go anywhere else. Plus she is a truly amazing person who I love and trust.     Melissa has been taking care of me and creating a perfectly quaffed head of hair for over 5 years! It took her a while to convince me my hair was gray and not “light blonde” as I had insisted.
