This was my third total time treating myself to a hair cut and drastic color change. The first time was an amazing experience with Eddie a few years ago that left me feeling like I found my new go-to hairdresser/specialist.I waited 3 years of growing out my previous cover up from platinum blonde hair so I can get my Bob and have my virgin dark hair turned as blonde as before - or to at least get as close as possible (the first time I bleached my own hair and walked in with it pre-lightened by myself for the Eddie to add the finishing touches which were- chef’s kiss.The first person I was scheduled with consulted with me, her name begins with an F. Farima? Either way I was told, despite having virgin uncolored hair, that I could not achieve that lightness (I showed several goal pictures including my end goal) in one day, which I accepted after I was told by a specialist whom I trusted that it would be best to “lighten it maybe two shades then come back for the rest”.Okay, I trusted the process and after 5 hours, walked out with a color that was brighter light brown nor anything resembling blonde. Almost red/dark mustard! I didn’t cry, even when I paid the bill, but I knew when I can back I would request a KNOWLEDGEABLE SKILLED person that knew how to change and work with blonde hair.I just want to say that I no longer live in Miami, so after making today’s appointment for my second job in my journey to blonde, I worked with Luis.LUIS was not only charismatic and knowledgeable about color and the process, the anxiety melted away when he explained and SHOWED me how he works. He also let me know (which I’ve known from watching Brad Mondo for hours) that VIRGIN HAIR NO MATTER THE DARKNESS CAN ACHIEVE A BEAUTIFUL BLONDE WITHOUT THE ORANGE OR YELLOW EFFECT!! He cut a beautiful Bob and the all over highlights were the most beautifully executed I’ve ever seen.When searching for a long term hairdresser, color specialist-my advice after this experience- SPEAK UP! I had read the reviews about Fiona and following my experience, am thrilled to join the masses. I can’t rave enough. My hair was a frizzy mess when I came in; she walked me through the process, explained the whys and the hows, and was very upfront about the cost. In addition to being a skilled hair stylist, she’s an excellent therapist and self esteem guru. She listened to my issues of the day with a keen ear and responded with a thoughtful, sensible approach to life. I left the salon a couple hundred dollars poorer but a million dollars richer.

McAllister Spa has now become one of my favorite little gems on Miami Beach. I was looking for a local hair salon to put in some extensions, I not only wanted quality sew in and tape extensions, I wanted to also feel a level of comfort and enjoy my surroundings for the long appointment, as well as maintenance needed for these hair services.I not only found an amazing sanctuary filled with hair extensions, amazing shampoo, candles, treatments and conditioners, I found the best hair stylist, who is also an amazing hair colorist, she matched my extensions perfectly to the base color! Its flawless!Dreisy Figueroa is not only exceptional with hair extensions, the cut and color are perfection as well. I absolutely love McAllister Spa, as does my dog Oscar. They are so welcoming, never a problem getting an appointment, Dreisy always makes the time for each client and sends them out looking fantastic!

Luis Canas did a colour correction for me after I dyed my at home and I am so in love with my new blonde hair! I cannot recommend him enough! As a L’Oréal ambassador, he used top quality products that did not damage my hair and was a blast to chat and hang out with all afternoon. Well, folks, today was my lucky day. I discovered McAllister Spa and got a GREAT haircut from Fariba. She was professional, listened to what I wanted to do, and also gave me great recommendations not only for the cut but how to use henna (I am allergic to hair dye, so I use henna). She is absolutely delightful, and I am sooooo happy that, after a long search, I have finally found a new stylist. The salon has a great vibe, too, and parking in the front and back. A must visit for anyone local or visitors!I have been going here for almost 2 years for my facials, nails, and eyelashes (to Nafsika****) Not only is Nafsika the best but the entire salon is proficient at hair, skin and nails. They cater to all age groups and it is not just your quick in and out salon that doesnt care, they really treat everyone with the best quality service. I have not ever had a bad experience and one thing that I love is knowing that I can park at this free standing spa/house! Stylist Fiona is simply FANTASTIC!!!This is the third review I have ever written, so realize that I was inspired to write because I wanted to share my experience at McAllister Spa, and with my stylist, Fiona. The spa owner was warm and inviting in the most genuine way. Fiona is beyond exceptional. She is a color specialist, and recommends the treatments and progressive processes that improve the hair texture, color, shine, and style until you have healthy, beautiful hair. Not only is she highly talented, and experienced; she listens, and ensures that the haircut, color, and more are performed to meet your needs. Before I started with Fiona, my hair was overly dyed, dry, dull, and definitely not attractive - today it has a healthy beautiful shine. Lastly, just being in her care is an enjoyable, relaxing experience. I highly recommend both Fiona, and McAllister Spa!.

Dreisy Figueroa does my extensions and she is an absolute master. Even my friends and family who have had extensions for years tell me that they are shocked at how perfectly natural mine look and feel. She uses a sewing/beading technique with tiny beads, much smaller than most stylists use, so they are very comfortable to wear and sleep in, and are invisible. She also teaches classes to other stylists on how to give people extensions, so she literally is a master.Not only that, but she is extremely fun and kind. Sitting in her chair for hours, we laugh and chat and she is like a therapist. Or, sometimes I have to work on my laptop and she also gives me quiet time when I need it. She has a warm and happy energy.She knows that extensions are expensive, so she often tries to give me options so that costs arent as high, or she tries to get me discounts on certain products in the shop even when they are not on discount.A lot of my family and friends tell me that I pay a lot of money for my extensions, but for me, its the best money I ever spent. I know I can go to somebody cheaper, but they would not look this good. I would much rather pay a few hundred more and FEEL like a million bucks. : )

Small boutique salon with well experienced stylist. I see Yulia who is amazing!!! She listens and also knows what will work or won’t when we discuss my look so I’m never surprised when finished. Her cuts are awesome. I barely have to style them and they grow out remarkably well. Being low maintenance the is a must! When I do want to get “dolled-up,” it’s never a challenge. My haircut always just works and looks great!

Fiona is an amazing hairstylist! My hair was completely damaged/fried before I entered the salon. Fiona immediately put me at ease during the initial consultation. She described the process of getting my hair back to being healthy again. Fiona explained that a blunt haircut would look best on my naturally fine and coarse hair. Boy, was she right! My hair has never looked better! An easy 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ well deserved. I’ll definitely be back to McAllister to see Fiona for my next haircut and Olaplaex treatment.

I have been coming to McAllister Spa for months now and I always go back. Everyone that works here is incredibly kind and professional. I go and see Dreisy always as she has been taking care of my hair since i dyed it pink and it was completely dried out. She is always upfront and honest which is very important to me as well as she really tries to educate you on how to take care of your hair. Thanks to her my hair id very much stronger and healthier than when i first came by her. On top of that, you have not LIVED until Salome washes your hair. She has magic fingers that make your head melt while she massages you, thank me later.

I got an express manicure for 28$ here and I am much happier with the service here than I did at the tourist trap venetian spa...I got a regular manicure but its longer lasting thanks to their quality top coat. I prefer a spa ambiance over a las vegas vibe personally...they took me in right away first thing in the morning and I had no appointment...they even made me a much needed coffee. Very cute spa.

I recently moved to South Beach and I was flirting with the idea of getting extensions, but I didnt know who I could trust to do a good job. I googled Salons in my area and a profile of Dreisy popped popped up. I desperately needed blonde highlights and hadnt had my hair done in awhile. I scheduled a consultation with Dreisy who suggested highlights and then Kereatin bonded extensions. I was so nervous TBH. After Dreisy did my highlights most of my anxiety disappeared. Wow! Absolutely incredible. I have getting my hair done for years and lived all over the country including NYC and LA, but she really transformed my hair. The color was amazing. I came in a week later for extensions and I really dont know what to say. Dreisy really transformed my hair and I really am blown away. She gave me instructions and provided product that would help me maintain new hair. TBH I am just so glad I met her and found this salon. People can really mess up your hair if they dont know what they doing. I was just so impressed by here skill really. Also it helps that she is a lovely person. Ty so much Dreisy for my hair! Not only is she a beautiful soul inside and out full of energy and fun, but she adds all that passion and love into your hair service. Dreisy has been doing my hair for years and is the only person that I allow to touch my hair. I have very thin fine hair but also love my pink hair, my hair extensions and with Dreisy I am always able to achieve the impossible while maintaining my hair healthy and beautiful. She will go above and beyond with professional insight to give the client what they want and more. This woman is a true hair artist and truly loves what she does. Every time I get my hair done with Dreisy it’s like a whole new makeover, we never do the same look and she’s always on top of the trendy styles and colors. My fiance and I spent this past weekend at our favorite spot here in Miami Beach. I happened to stumble upon McAllister Salon while on my morning walk. We called on a Sunday morning without any appointments and wanted to book a full day of services for both of us. I am absolutely floored with theiron ability to accommodate us quickly and seamlessly! Their whole staff is absolutely fabulous! Super friendly and knowledgeable on all the products they offered. Billy, the owner, definitely went above and beyond to please both my fiance and I to the fullest! They stayed open late to finish our services. Extremely affordable prices but the best part of this spa is the level of professionalism in everything they do. We felt and feel at home here and we will NEVER go anywhere else! Im from outside of Manhattan, in Bergen County, NJ and Ive been to dozens of high end salons and spas. They dont even compare to McAllister Spa! This place blows them all away. We came in haggered and in need of beautification. We both left floating on cloud 9!! Best Spa ever and I would rate them 10 stars if I could!

I was visiting Miami and needed a lash extension refill. Turns out I needed a full set, but let me tell you it was the best eyelashes I have ever gotten. Fitting to my eye-shape, plenty of volume, long lasting (barely lost lashes for two weeks) it was a longer process than what I am used to in my home city, but definitely well thought out and the lash artist tailored the lashes to my eyes. Looked great for a photoshoot! Only thing I found was that it was VERY expensive. I was prepared to pay Miami prices, but where I am from it’s around $250 for a full set and I almost paid $400 which definitely was a bit painful for the rest of my trip and made me feel bad for spending that much on lashes.

At first I had an idea of what I wanted but I needed something between what I wanted and what my dad would appreciate, Mauricio Artiz was super friendly, helped me find the cut that would not only would suit my needs but also makes me feel really pretty, not to mention he was very gentle with the process and has a good sense of humor. As for my facial Marnie Sosa Mir was not only giving me a relaxing facial but also provided me an educational experience with every new product or procedure she would use on my face 10/10 recommend. :)

I went to McAllister Spa to have my hair cut by Mark Halloway. I asked a friend who cut her hair and she sent me his way and I am grateful she did. He did an amazing job creating a new look for me. I have curly hair and it is always difficult to find someone who knows how to cut my hair in a way that isnt too flat, or too big. He created beautiful lift and framed my face. Everyone at the Spa was friendly and helpful. I am very happy I was referred there.

After two hair experiences that left my hair looking brown (I have colored my hair blonde for years) I was very upset. I choose this place because of how close it was to me. Dreisy did my hair and she literally saved it. For one whole year I was so unhappy with my hair and she gave me the color of my dreams. Besides that she was very honest and explained to me that I might damage my hair if I color it so soon but I told her I didn’t care. I couldn’t stand having this hair color for one more day. I received the best sew-in weft hair extensions from Dreisy Figueroa at McAllister Spa. I have naturally wavy hair so Dreisy recommended I go with naturally wavy extensions to keep them low maintenance and blend more naturally with my hair. She did an amazing job dying the hair extensions to match my hair color perfectly and choose extensions that have the exact same texture as my hair. Mcallister spa is the only place I will go for everything beauty. Jessica has been cutting and coloring my hair for years, and she is the absolute best - all of the technicians are at the top of their game and have been working at Mcallister forever. The house is conveniently located in South Beach, and is clean and cozy. The staff is friendly and allow me to bring my dog. The prices are totally reasonable, especially considering the skill level and location. Mcallister spa is where those in the know go to take care of all their beauty needs - a true locals oasis.

My fabulous colorist, Lara B, left Dallas for Miami a month ago and Im still in mourning. :/ My hair is very fine so Im ultra particular about who colors it, especially since Ive had it burned once before. I appreciate the care she takes when coloring my hair, but even more than that, I love that she makes my hair color look beautiful!! My green eyes really pop when she adds the different highlights. Lara also put extensions in my hair a couple of months ago and I seriously look 10 years younger! This is my first experience with extensions and Im hooked!! I havent experienced any of the negative issues some of my friends have with their extensions. They should have gone to Lara B. Ill be flying to Miami several times a year now because I dont trust anyone else with my color and extensions. Now Im a little glad she left Dallas for Miami. :-)

An “oasis” in the center of south beach! The moment you walk in you feel the positive energy, everyone is friendly and courteous and make you feel relaxed.Diana truly loves doing hair, she listens, she makes suggestions and the end result is perfect! I went to Mc Allister Spa referred by a friend whose hair always looks great. I was looking for a good colorist as I wanted to turned to blonde (I was a dark brunette) and was a little bit nervous as its very hard to have such a big change preserving the quality of the hair while getting a nice blonde color. I was so glad to fall into Mark Holloways hands, it went beyond my expectations. It was a long process as the change was big and he dedicated all his time just to me and making sure that I was getting the result that I was expecting.I now have a very nice dirty blonde and all I got were great compliments about my change.Every person in the staff were very friendly,professional and inviting. Lets face it, in Miami South Beach, things are over-proced, tend to be cheap and covered by mediocre hospitality. I have seen prices for the same services McAllister Spa offers be easily double at other places here on the beach. Massages can go for as much as $200 for 1 hour and mani-pedis in the $70-$100 range. I came in for waxing my eye brows and was shocked at how inexpensive the service was, but was overly pleased by the results. I also received a deep tissue message (more therapeutic than luxuriously relaxing) to help with knots in my body, which have a huge impact on how one feels and functions. I received my massage from Allegra who made me feel very welcomed and I could tell she knew what she was doing. She can see with her hands where my body needed it most. I am a yoga instructor and I am very bodily aware of where my body is tight and sensitive and all the places I am tight, Allegra conditioned and treated them. I will for sure be back again for my waxing and massage. All together my trip costed me $114 and with tipping (as I alaways do for those who service and take care of me) I spent $129. Thank you McAllister for offering reasonable and exceptional services.

On the advice of our wedding coordinator, my husband and I booked a couples spa day here for the day before our wedding. It was worth every penny!We got 60 minute deep tissue couples massages, followed by a gel mani-pedi for me with Marnie (pedi and polish for him with Marlene), and some brow/hair treatments with Eddie. Thanks to Marnie, Marlene, Eddie, and the rest of the staff - we left looking and feeling great!

I got a mani/pedi with Marlene while on vacation and it was lovely. The spa environment was relaxed and clean and the staff was welcoming. I also got a blow-out that though did not withstand the Miami heat too much (we cant create miracles) it looked really voluminous and had great texture.Will definitely be going back!
