    OMG. I can’t even believe how incredible Lupe is.. I walked in after having been searching for the perfect red/copper for me and had had not the best experience at the last salon I was at. Not being a hair professional I showed Lupe a few pictures and gave her a few hopes- natural looking, matching my skin tone… I have to say I have NEVER had such a good experience with a colorist before. She listened to me, was patient with me and my fears, and literally made me the perfect color match. I literally found MY color with her help. run don’t walk to make an appointment here. Thank you again Lupe! 🙏🏻🤍🥰 and everyone else at the salon for making my hair dreams come true 🙏🏻

    Jasmine was great! She fit me in same day. Did one of the best haircuts I ever had. I have very thin fine hair and have gone to so many places and have never been happy. Jasmine gave me a haircut that is easy to maintain and looks good!!!

    I was referred to Kim by a friend who’s been with her for over 10 years, I had a terrible experience with another stylist and my hair was a big hot mess!! Immediately upon meeting Kim she jumped right into my hair and said yeah we need to do this we need to do that....I asked her a few questions and let me just say, Kim’s expertise and knowledge of the science behind color is superior! I let her fix my hair and was very happy. Fast forward a few months ago back and we talked about going drastic so for the first time in my 25 years of highlighting my hair I asked her to give me a full color and I couldn’t be happier. I trusted her to take my hair from one color of the spectrum to the other and my hair feels healthy, silky smooth. I highly recommend Kim at AUSTIN JAMES she’s the best!I’ve always wanted to be a blond, thanks Kim!!!

    Jasmine was awesome! My daughter showed her a completely brand new hairstyle she’s never had and Jasmine knew exactly how to make it work for her. She spent an entire hour on the cut and style and did a fabulous job. My daughter gets nervous easily, but Jasmine made the whole process easy and stress free. I have to say, having part of her head shaved and so much of her hair cut off made me nervous my daughter would walk away crying and instead, she hasn’t stopped smiling for hours. She told me she’s absolutely obsessed with her new haircut. Thank you Jasmine! If we are in the area again, we will be back.

    I have come in 3 times now to get my hair done with Brittany. I came to her with virgin brunette hair looking to go blonde. She delivered! She did a full balayage per my request. I was worried about the longevity as its challenging for me to keep up with my hair with my chaotic schedule. She did such a great job catering to my needs and she made sure it blended well to help me when I had growth. Shes truly an artist.

    I havent had a hair cut in around 15 years maybe a little more. I had my hair trimmed and the front was given framing pieces. I had a wash and then a blowout. I love my hair, it feels soft to the touch. The smell of my hair after the lanza products were used is pretty too. They taught me some tricks to reduce my hair breakage. The ambiance of the salon was friendly and light hearted. I enjoyed my experience and I think Ill be coming back in a few weeks for another wash, trim, and blowout. I had Maria and another woman whose name escaped me; however, both of these stylist made it an easy and enjoyable experience. The pupper (dog) in the shop is also a really nice homey. Hes a good boy with a hefty size and calm mannerism. I felt special every time the pupper stayed near my stylists chair. If youre afraid of having too much trimmed off, I can assure you that Maria was very conservative with my trim and intuitive with my needs. This place is nice. 🧸

    You know you have a good stylist when strangers around town always complement your hair, asking who does it! Kim has been highlighting my hair for over 6 years now and I have never been disappointed. Very happy with the salon and the girls who help keep it flowing.I noticed some of the other reviews mentioned being passed off to “techs” but I can assure you that’s not the case. This salon is very team oriented and they help each other by using all hands on deck to keep clients moving along. Yes, there are salon assistants to help with this process but they are well equipped and just as qualified to wash and blow dry hair. This is actually of benefit to us as the salon stays pretty far booked out, and having extra personnel to help in that way allows for more availability. As a long time client, I’m appreciative of that because I’m a last minute booker that is always grateful to be squeezed in. If having a salon assistant wash your hair bothers you, I wouldn’t dare you to ask who closes you up after surgery 😉

    I had an appointment with Brittany for a hair cut, color with a blow out and I’ll say I wish I could give her 10 stars! Absolutely amazing. She fit me in the same week and she did exactly what I asked for. My hair looks just like the reference I showed her. Very professional and fun to be around. I would highly recommend this salon. Everyone was amazing here. Great atmosphere.

    I am a new customer and I had an appointment with Nickcola on 9/11/22. She did an amazing job with my hair and listened to all of my concerns and gave me exactly what I asked for. I couldn’t be happier. Very professional staff and very clean and modern salon with great products. I also did the detox foot bath which was amazing as well. Two thumbs up and five stars!!!     I called in for a trim of my dead ends, same day they gave me an appointment! I’m sure that’s not always the case but I appreciated it. Taylor was my stylist and she was friendly and welcoming. My hair even when straightened can tangle because it wants to be curly! She was gentle but my hair is soft and lovely and it was so fast. Very cute studio, very clean and nice ambiance. Will be back in the future, thank you Taylor!

    I was blown away with how sweet everyone was at the studio. I came in with a pretty tall order. I have box dyed my hair for years getting crazy results and I was looking for something trendy and demure. Kim did an amazing job! It took nearly 7 hours but she was not about ready to give up. My hair is magazine perfect to day and it is 100% thanks to her! Since I was at the salon for so long I got to see many customers come and go. Some just wanted a trim and they were in and out quickly and efficiently. Others wanted complete color overhauls like I did. All of the customers who were there while I was were completely satisfied with their stylists and the outcome.Great customer service. Adorable decorations. Upbeat attitudes! Perfect salon all around!

    The place was clean and uncluttered. The price was very fair. Taylor Shakra immediately attended to me. She listened to me. She gave me exactly what I asked for but did it better than expected. I dont like my hair blow dried so she let me leave with my perfect haircut wet. Dried so pretty. Im finally trusting a hair stylist again. Bringing my daughter too. So happy.

    If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would! Its been 23 years since Ive trusted or been to a hair studio due to a really bad experience at a salon in Ohio. It took a Lot for me to gather the courage to look for one in Ocala, but I needed help. My hair was a mess! Thank God, after doing much research online, I found Austin James Hair Studio. I looked through all the others, but I was drawn to this one. My first encounter was with the lovely Nickcola. She was very gracious and understanding of my nervousness. After offering me a choice of coffee, wine or water, she brought me water throughout my time there. She is so easy to talk to and helped me so much. She told me about a service they also offer there which I tried and was so grateful for,, as Ive been looking for a detox service. This one is ionic therapy using a foot bath. I have awful circulation due to a traumatic injury. It was very relaxing and I Highly recommend this service! My pain is usually high but has improved greatly! Then I met the Amazing Eliz, shes one of those people who has a wonderful way of making you feel at ease. She listened to everything I wanted her to do, but I Truly didnt have much hope due to the state of my poor distressed and fine hair. I have to say that not Only did she transform my hair, she literally changed my life. Ive been very insecure about my appearance for so long -23 year to be exact, after receiving a bad perm which fried my hair with lasting repercussions. I cant say Enough about how Thrilled I am with my new style! My time there was calming and transforming. It ended with my crying in the chair because I was in awe of what Eliz did for me. She cried too, which tells you what a sweet soul that she is. I hope that she and Nickcola realize what Amazing women that they are. I love this Hair studio, you couldnt find a better group of ladies. Thank-you soo much, Eliz!😊❤

    I have been to several salons and barbershops, and I can confidently say that I have never received a better fade than the one Eliz provided.As someone who is used to visiting the barbershop to get a bald fade, Eliz has the tools needed to get the job done.Eliz is caring and attentive, a true perfectionist of her craft.     I have been searching, and searching for a salon that I love....Ive been to multiple ones in Ocala and spent a pretty penny at most of them and not been satisfied. Ive been trying to go blonde for quite some time now and had not luck at all. I happened to read about this salon on facebook, and figured why not ? Months ago I contacted the salon and explained my wants and needs, the appointment was booked with Casey Taylor Platt, and upon arriving to my very first appointment, everyone greeted me. Casey sat down with me and asked exactly what it was I was trying to achieve. She was completely honest with me about how long it would take to get my hair fully blonde, since I had dark brunette hair, I understood. I have been there multiple times now and I figured it was time for a review. I went today and this was the first time we did the lightening process all over, and my hair is finally the blondest it has ever been. From the pleasantries at the front counter with Kelsey to the full hair process with Casey, I think Ive found my salon home! FINALLY!!!
