We only went for a simple trim for my daughter. The student was very friendly and my 9 year old was very comfortable with her. Shes a swimmer and the instructor suggested a treatment and deep conditioner. Her hair really looked healthy and shiny when they were all done. Turns out we were her very first clients. Great job!

Had May (student 5625) and she did amazing with my hair. She made me comfortable and like I could really trust her with my hair. I got compliments all day afterwards. I haven’t gone to a salon in 5 years after a few bad experiences at other places so when I came here, I was so happy with how well everything turned out with my hair and the whole experience. Highly recommend.

June 5,2024-- went back and had my hair done again. This time Sophia did my hair. This is a leaning school and students cant do as much as you like them too. Be patient with them they are learning.July 20, 2024--second time seeing Sophia and she did a great job. I am happy with the outcome. Remember if you come here the students are learning and give them patience and grace. I am pleased with my hair.Sierra did an amazing job. She is gonna be a wonderful hair stylist. Great customer service from everyone I met.10/2/23- went in a second time to see Sierra. I am got lighter each time and she nailed it again. I had another great experience at the school. Everyone was so kind and really loved what Sierra did. 12/18/23 last time I saw Sierra. She is graduating and will be going on to her future. PM is a great place to let them do your hair. If you understand its only hair and the women and men are learning this is a great experience. I am sure I will be back again.

I have gone to the school twice now and both times I have had a great experience! Both times the student I was paired with were under the guidance of the same teacher (Cam maybe?) but he did an outstanding job providing guidance without over stepping and truly gave the students the ability to practice and learn.In addition to that, I am outside a lot which can cause hair dye to fade quicker and they worked with me to find a color that would fade well while providing great recommendations for hair maintenance and upkeep. This last time I walked out with my hair looking better than it had in years. I highly recommend booking an appointment at the school and giving them a chance to practice their skills.

This was my second time coming and oh my gosh!! This place is incredible. The stylists and their instructors are amazing. They give you the step by step of what the process is and the cost upfront. The students get advice from the teachers before and during the process. Everyone is very knowledgeable and so nice.

I was floored by how amazing of an experience I received yesterday! This is hands down the BEST curly cut Ive ever had and they were so nice and knew exactly what I was asking for 🥰 Im soo excited to have discovered this place and cannot to keep going back from now on! Devonte was absolutely amazing! Had incredible, calming energy and was very clear & concise while working with me. I knew I was going to be a TASK as I was coming in with hair to my behind. I was so happy to be able to donate my hair to an incredible non-profit that was suggested by this location. It was a great experience & I’m so grateful to have met Dev and look forward to following him in his cosmetology career. Willie the instructor was also fantastic and encouraging every step of the way. 10/10 experience! 🙌🏼🫶🏼

I’ve been here ~4 times, & this was my best experience yet! Vickie Jones did an AMAZING job with my curly hair! Out of every hairstylist I’ve ever had, she asked the most questions to ensure she understood what I wanted. She double checked with her Learning Leader when needed, which made me confident she was doing great. I told her I forgot my fidget toy (haircuts make me nervous) & she accommodated my needs by finding me something to fidget with! I felt so taken care of. She did a FANTASTIC, precise job on the cut & gave me exactly what I wanted! Thank you Vickie!

I had my hair cut by Yashira and it was great. She cut it exactly how I wanted, from the fade on the sides to the trim on top everything was perfect. Even though it was her first skin fade she is now going to be my go to barber. 10/10

I had a great experience at Paul Mitchell. I was there for a trim and to get face framing pieces. Mataya was wonderful and made sure to discuss everything I wanted in-depth and which products she chose and why before we started. It was a busy Saturday morning, so it took a minute to get started but I wasn’t waiting too long anyways. Mataya was super sweet and explained everything, making the process so easy. The learning leader was also very nice and checked what I wanted with me before we started and checked again when we were done. I would definitely go back.

I went for a student cut and color done by Lilly. She did an awesome job and was very professional. The learning leaders are great and supervise every step of the way. The process.does take longer when done by a student but that is so the instructor can check everything along the way. My hair tlooks and feels amazing and my experience was great. I definitely plan on going back.

Love PMTS! Watching and meeting all the new students is so exciting as I own a shop in the mall. My kids have used their services for hair cuts and styling and they have always been amazing! The educators and staff take the time to walk you through the processes while teaching the students, love the experience. Just know, this is not a quick trip as this is a working school.

I have been here many times and everytime its an experience. This time around (8/15/24- night class) was no exception. I had a wonderful student named Sophia! She was such a welcoming and sweet woman. I went in there showed her what I wanted and although she was a bit nervous cause she had never done a short cut beginning with long hair she executed it perfectly with a little help from her instructor (which i def forgot to get her name but she was amazing)! I also got a deep conditining done and it smells sooooo amazing Lavender-Mint and my hair is still soft and looks like new! I LOVE my hair soo much!

The scalp massage and the wash were much too mild. I believe he was afraid of using too much strength and he, therefore, used too little. Otherwise, the experience was great.

I will start by saying how accommodating and sweet every employee and student is. However, there were a lot of complications along the way with my appointment. It took a lot longer than expected. Hair and makeup took 6 hours but they made every effort to work with me and make sure that it got done all in one day which I appreciate. All the students were amazingly nice and put in their best effort even though I didn’t even know exactly what I wanted myself.

The school and my student stylists always over-deliver and take the time to get every detail perfect. My color came out beautifully and every bit of gray was covered. Most professional salons dont use enough product or parse the hair thinly enough to cover all of my gray. That is why I go to this school. They get it right the first time and are so sweet about listening to all of my concerns. Chelsea did an amazing job. The student is only as good as the teacher though. Make sure that you ask for students under the guidance of Eric. He made the magic happen and was so accommodating. He suggested going with a violet undertone that I would have never dreamed of and the end product is stunning.

You would never know this was a school with the level of professionalism displayed on all fronts! From the checkin process to the salon itself to the hairstylists, it was an overall awesome experience! Mel, my hairstylist was a star! She was confident, listened to my wants and immediately jumped into action to make my wants come to fruition! The leadership there also checked in on me often and made sure that I was still happy with my hair throughout the process. I will definitely be coming back!

Visit started a little concerning as I wanted the receptionist to select the right person to do my hair. She explained she can not select and I understood. I got Katey and Lexi was going to assist her . I was all over the board as to what I wanted. Long story short with the help of the floor manager or teacher Karen I ended up with a beautiful new look. The hair cut is perfect and I can now say I love the new color. It was a little shocking for me going from brunette to blonde but I love it. Great job ladies. My next appointment I will request you Katey as I love my cut and color you have a great hand and I will remember to bring cash to tip you next time.

I had an appointment today and was serviced by Chloe who is already an expert! She did an awesome job transitioning me to gray. She used the dimensions method and also gave me a trim. I walked out very happy. I loved the campus and everyone was very nice and friendly. The Oviedo campus is very clean and they have plenty of instructors on the floor. I definitely recommend this cosmetology school for all of your makeover needs! From reception to everyone in the salon area I give you two thumbs-up!

From start to finish the most wonderful experience at Paul Mitchell of Orlando! I felt as though I was at a high quality upscale salon and not a school… All the instructors and students were so professional, yet friendly making you feel right at home. I used a phase I student Tierra B . She mixed a color that perfectly covered my hard to cover grey roots.. Tierra suggested the clear gloss to add shine and silkiness to my frizzy coarse hair.. My hair was trimmed to get all the dead ends off..After washing and conditioning with the wonderful smelling Paul Mitchell products Tierra proceeded to blow dry my hair! I usually have it flat ironed but she assured me that I would be happy with the blow dry and that it would be healthier for my hair. She had a great technique where she tightly held the round brush to stretch the hair and keep it straight. It is now 3 days later and I am so happy!!! My hair is shiny , feels silky and has some bounce to it !!! Throughout my salon experience the instructor- Ms. Natalie would stop by to oversee Tierra’s work making sure that it was top- notch !!! I really enjoyed speaking with Ms . Natalie she was from my same hometown in Néw York and we connected as she was overseeing Tierra’s work!!! Tierra - I will be back as the Paul Mitchell School of Orlando is my new go to self-care place and I look forward to having my hair done by her again!!! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!!!

I got a very large haircut (13 inches off) and had a gradient in the back. This was my first time leaving my hometown hairdresser so I was nervous. Had a great experience. I had doubts about seeing students, but since theyre still in school theyre very focused on technique and getting it done properly, not like someone older who may have fallen out of practice. My hairdresser was wonderful and everyone was very welcoming.This haircut did take a little bit longer than it typically would, but this wasnt a problem as I was asked upfront how much time I said and I told her I was completely free. She took her time to make everything perfect on a difficult haircut. She called her leader over to double check things were done right before proceeding. I appreciate her thoroughness and attention to detail, and am happy to spend a little extra time for such a cheap haircut. I usually spend upwards of $50, I spent $13 for a haircut here and was at least as happy with the result.My feedback would be that the hours are unclear, since theyre not listed on google maps or the store door. I believe the phone number on google maps also may be incorrect since it brought me to school admissions instead of a line for customers.

Honestly, this place can get a bad rep. But Ive been coming here for cuts about 1-2 times a year for 3 years and its always an inexpensive and nice experience, and I always have left satisfied. Yesterday I went for my first color treatment ever. I had such a wonderful time, Kali was my specialist, and she was absolutely fantastic. The teacher was behind her the whole night but also let her do what she felt confident in. I love the job they did and I will continue to recommend this place to people who are patient enough to go and spend the time. However, go in the evening, its always less crowded and in my opinion/from what Ive been told, has the more skilled and experienced students.

I have severe social anxiety. I didn’t communicate what I wanted well enough & when my stylist Kim kept checking in & asking if Iiked what she was doing after every step, I nodded & smiled & agreed even though it wasn’t quite what I wanted. I left, returned 30 mins later & asked if we could do more. Kim was EXTREMELY understanding, kind & reassuring, which meant a TON to me as I BARELY managed to walk back in & ask to change my hair from my social anxiety. This time I did my part of communicating clearly & I LOOOOVE how my hair turned out!! The best cut I’ve gotten here (I’ve had 3 or 4)!

I enjoyed the casual talk with the two students who worked on my hair, as I think, for me is an enjoyable part of going to a salon. The instructor continually walked the floor observing students and giving instructions when needed. When I decided to have my hair done at the school, I knew it would take more time than if I was at a regular salon, and I wasnt too surprised when I signed the consent form which indicated it could take 2-3 hours. However going on a Friday was not the best day to get color and cut, as I learned it would be a shared service between two students. At 12:30 ish, the first student had to go to afternoon class and a second set of students came in for the latter part of the day. Next time I will make it for a Saturday as they are only on the floor that day. For training purposes, I would suggest cleaning up the hairline better before it stays on the skin too long as it did on mine. Save a little of that extra color in the mixing bowl (color removes color) and can work more effectively than the color removal liquid. The studet did a great job of fully covering my hair and I will return. The student who cut my hair didnt quite get my request from photo correct but it looked good and I let here know she did a good job. Five hours later, I left feeling and looking better than when I started. My suggestion to future customers, bring a snack and something to drink.

I had a great experience at the school! Balayage (hand painting) and a cut.I had a level one student, and felt confident in the supervisor (Katherine) watching her, correcting her when needed, or offering her tips as she worked. Result is beautiful! Will be happy to come again.My biggest advice is to come prepared and understanding of what you’re participating in. These are students - you sign a document saying you understand this. Especially if you are getting color or a lightening service, understand this will take time, but ultimately is much cheaper than independent salon work, and you get to help someone learning. I see it as a win all around! I also have fairly straightforward hair, so I am also pretty uncomplicated.Cost was also made very clear to me, no surprises there.My other piece of advice if this is your first time at this location: enter from the mall! Side doors are locked. There are signs, but pre-coffee me did not see them :)
