    I can’t say enough good things about Leah. She has done my hair for 20+ years. I started going to her as soon as she finished her certification and have never regretted it. She is one of the most hardworking people I know. She goes above and beyond for her clients. Her attention to detail is unmatched. You will not regret going to Sugar & Sand Salon!

    I called and mentioned that I would be coming down the following week as a tourist and asked for first availability for my small son and myself. My son is a sparky little 3 yo boy and I have very short and very blonde hair. I haven’t been particularly fond of my hair for most of the summer because I felt the cut was very choppy and still had a lot of dead/damaged hair from trying to remove red. The hairstylist was not only very sweet and made me feel better about the whole situation, but she absolutely slayed my haircut! I have always had very long hair and recently had to chop it off due to wanting the red out and damaged hair, so I have been very hesitant about how I wear my hair. I now love the style as she fine tuned the layers, removed the dead and re-shaped a couple of areas. My hair feels great, but I felt very taken care of.She also took great care of my little guy! He was looking a little shaggy due to being unable to get an appointment back home, but she rocked him out in under 10 minutes.I will try and see her every time we go down and I wish she was local to me because I would see her every time.(Photos are from washing the night before and waking up to travel home the next day. Pictures were taken when we got home so I wouldn’t forget :) ).

    Leah is not only a great hairstylist, she is a magician! Walked in with a messy hair color and after three hours of her individual attention, I walked out looking like a movie star! Incredible!Treat yourself with Leah’s many talents. You won’t regret it.

    We are new to the area. I am very picky about my hair so was nervous to try somebody to replace my person back home.     Hidden gem at the beach...I was very frustrated in moving to the area last year and was told that I needed to leave a deposit in order to use ANOTHER salon in PCB. Totally ridiculous request--I canceled and did a Google search for hair salons--close to me. I read the great reviews on the salon-called and its now been a year that I see Genice--every month.Her heart is of a genuine Christian and her work(attention to detail) shines thru-everytime!!! She makes me feel like a beauty queen when she is done with my hair.This is the BEST type of advertising I can give these ladies...a walking example of great service!!

    The last time I got my hair done was two years ago and it ended up getting completely fried.     My mom wanted me to book a wash and set for her and I was pleasantly surprised when we were able to book an appointment with a short notice and even more surprised when she was willing to cut my daughters’ hair while we were there. Such a cute and clean place and Genice was so kind and accommodating. The prices were reasonable and I would highly recommend.

    Genice saved my hair! I came to Florida for vacation, but before I left home I got a terrible haircut at great clips 😭. I couldn’t live with it, so I searched for a spot in PCB. I’m so grateful for finding Sugar & Sand. Genice and Leah are lovely, welcoming ladies who know what they’re doing and charged a great price. If I’m ever in town again I’ll be back.

    All of the ladies in my wedding party came to this salon for hairstyling and makeup. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful! I am so awful at rubbing my eyes and itching my face so I rarely wear makeup and Leah was so understanding with my lack of experience and my constant blinking 🤣 Absolutely one of the best salons Ive ever been to and made my wedding day picture perfect. We were even given extra blotting pads in case we felt oily closer to the ceremony. Couldnt recommend this salon enough

    I was so nervous about my first Brazilian wax, I thought I might faint! But Sugar Sands Beauty Bar was a total lifesaver. The esthetician was a total riot, making me laugh and feel completely at ease. Even though Ive waxed my brows and lips a million times, the Brazilian was a whole new level of terrifying. But Im so glad I took the plunge – it was a 10/10 experience🤩

    I had been looking for a salon for over a year. I finally found this little gem. When I went in , I told them their reviews on line brought me in. The two ladies were friendly and welcoming. We discussed what I wanted and how best to go about getting there. While I was having my hair done another client came in and said she read the reviews and that is what brought her in also. Leah colored and cut my hair and also walked me throughout her styling of it ( just hands, product and a blow dryer). I felt like a new person when I left! I am extremely happy with the service I had! I have already made my next appointment prior to leaving.These two ladies work very hard and are wonderfully talented at what they do!!Ladies trust the reviews on Leah and Janeese ( apologies for the spelling ladies ), you will not be disappointed!

    This is by far the best hair cut and color I have received in several years. I have been to quite a few different stylists with much disappointment, but, Ill never go anywhere else!     Such a adorable little salon! The ladies are so nice and polite, they make you feel so comfortable and welcome as soon as you come in the door. My daughter got her hair highlighted, trimmed and Leah also styled it for her! She had the biggest smile on her face when we left. She loved it.     The location of Sugar and Sand salon is perfect for everyone. It’s convenient and extremely easy to get to. The salon is always clean, inviting,& chic. Leah is extremely knowledgeable and is an expert in highlights, color, cuts, and extensions. She is a perfectionist in every thing she does. She treats her clients like family and goes above and beyond to accommodate as best as she can. She takes time to listen to your hair concerns and will help you any way she can. Her hair washing skills with scalp massage are the best! You go in to get your hair done, but you leave her feeling like a million dollars!!!! She is phenomenal!     Miss Leah did her thing. She is a very talented and blessed my head of hair with a beautiful balayage. She gave me really good solid advice about how to we should proceed.     Leah is an amazing colorist and fixed an absolute hair color disaster for my daughter. She came in on her day off, spent 3.5 hrs with us, all to make sure my high schooler did not have to go back to school with horrible looking hair. Her hair was done at a different salon but Leah was professional and fixed all of their mistakes. To say that I’m grateful would be a huge understatement. I recommend this salon and especially Leah 100%!

    I highly recommend this salon. This was my first visit and I received highlights, and a cut & style. Genice made me feel very welcome as soon as I walked in the door. She is very professional and spent extra time and effort to create just the look I was hoping to achieve.     This is a mother daughter pair who have been in business in the area for several years but have clearly been cutting, styling, coloring etc hair for MUCH longer. They were able to work me in (July, 2022) for a wash, trim, and style. I LOVE this shop and will be stopping my search for a local salon and will be selecting THIS ONE.     I called Sugar and Sand as a shot in that dark really. I needed same day super short notice service and no one so far had an opening. Miss Genise, (truly a hidden gem) to my surprise took me right in, I was in her chair within an hr yall! The cut was spot on and reasonably priced. Miss Genice, youre a rock star my dear!While there the topic of my poorly self highlighted overly bleached yellow hued hair was discussed. Miss Genices daughter Leah (also a stylist and in my opinion color guru) came into the shop from lunch, I believe. She agreed to correct my mistakes in a couple of weeks, I was headed out of town hense the last minute need.On that second appt we (Leah and I) discussed my goals and agreed on the process. Leah was super respeptive about what I thought I wanted. Folks, four solid hours later the copper, brass, yellow mess I created was gone!We decided on an ombre type of fade to control my almost blk roots better. At first I loved it but as the days went on the darker roots just were not what I wanted. After much personal debate a message was left for Leah about my delima. Leah returned my call same day. Two days later Im in her chair. Without hesitation and with a professional patience that in my opinion should be awarded, she set in to correct what was ultimately my poor decision. The outcome and finished look is 10k fold perfectly perfect!!New lifetime client hands down and without question!Sugar and Sand folks is a first class, family oriented shop with an unmatched southern fire that humbly nurtures professional pride!     First off Ms. Genice is absolutely amazing. I had no clue what I wanted to do beyond color and eyebrow wax. She was very patient and told me her idea . At first I was anxious because I had not cut my hair in a year and even then I only let the stylist take an inch off my hair in back which was below my waistline and I got a bang trim . Ms. Genice suggested taking 6 to 8 inches off and I thought I was gonna pass out lol. Well she explained how much healthier my hair would be and how much more beautiful it would be. She made me feel 100 % comfortable and I did it 6 1/2 inches and it is gorgeous. My color turned out flawless , just like I wanted and my eyebrow wax and tint well she nailed it. The prices are so reasonable and the job was top notch.Thank you Ms. Genice you guys have a brand new loyal customer.
