My visit was awesome. I was greeted by Rosa at the front desk. She was friendly, professional and very efficient. My joy was heighten by Kendrick Culver who provided my hair trim.He was patient, listened and took his time to deliver a precision cut. I truly recommend going to Stephanie C at this school for a very relaxing and soothing facial. She was very educated in the products and very caring in making sure that I felt comfortable with the routine. She explained the process in a professional manner and was always willing to answer any questions I had. She explained other techniques and skin care that she performs. I will definitely go back to her for more skin care! Stephanie C is my skin care person! She want disappoint you.

I attended Artistic to become a licensed nail tech, and I will say they did give me all the tools I needed to be able to achieve this goal. All of the teachers are welcoming & will help you if you have any issues. Mrs. Tiff, the night time nail instructor is absolutely amazing, and if you have the ability to stay some nights you definitely should!

Im a student at this school and the massage instructors Jeanette and Alisha are great. They’re very thorough and supportive, after being out of school for YEARS I don’t think I would have been able to successful without them. I am thankful that I came through at this time. There are a few things I think every business can improve on but I believe they are making the efforts to improve the school as a whole.Thanks for being there for those who need a career pivot.

My good friend Brittany Huber has been practicing nails for a while (self-taught), so when I heard she was going to school here I just had to stop in when I was visiting from out of state. SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. 😍😍 In my most unbiased opinion, this is by far my favorite set Ive ever gotten. Her keen eye for colors and patterns, as well as attention to detail, were very impressive. I think part of my new vacation routine when visiting Tampa will have to include getting a full set done by Brittany. Also, the facility was super clean and bright, and everyone was so nice. The music was a vibe. I had a wonderful experience overall! Honestly better than at any nail salon Ive ever been to as far as hospitality and cleanliness.

I always receive good service, but a few weeks ago I went for a relaxer touch-up. And Lamonte, was my tech. If I could give him 100 stars, I would. He was extremely professional, greeted me with a smile, AND I got the best shampoo ever! No burning, or over processing. And a great style. I love this school but I will be following LaMonte. You have a fantastic gift and I wish you much success ❣️

I currently enrolled at Artistic and i mean it’s been amazing so far! As a transfer student i can say the staff and students are very welcoming, the equipment given for students to start is amazing and well priced. As well as their curriculum and way of teaching is very efficient! Ms. Carmen is my instructor for “Phase One” class and shes very helpful and amazing!

A good friend of mine has been doing amazing makeup for years and I seen she started going to beauty academy. I just had to catch up with her and get a few things done. She did my brows, which are not easy as I have blond hair mixed with dark hair, and I must say they look awesome! She also did a facial, which was my first, and I felt like my skin glowed and was super soft. My pores appeared smaller and all the black heads on my nose were finally gone. It may have been my first but it will not be my last. ! I drove over an hour and a half to see her and I will continue to do so from now on

I had a very good experience here! I went for the first time last week because my boyfriend’s friend is in school here so I thought I’d check it out and get my nails done. Brittney was so sweet and did exactly what I wanted for my nails. Not a lot of nails places know what square duck nails are supposed to look like and Brittney did a great job at giving me the shape I asked for. It was a chill environment and I am loving my nails and the price is great and makes it easier to tip more to the actual person doing the nails. I would definitely go back and ask for Brittney!

The best wax I’ve ever had! No pain, but gain! Leila, a student in the aesthetician program, was amazing!! Clean, smooth wax without pain! I must admit I was a bit anxious with this being my first “arm” wax, but Leila made it painless and comfortable. No after wax bumps. Yay!Right, hairy arm is before the wax. She was friendly, professional, very concerned with my satisfaction, and even redid the polish on my nails when the product was being uncooperative. This is the best school ever! The instructors are amazing. I am still in phase 1 and in my free time I get to go onto the floor to do things on clients. Today, I done a shampoo, blow dry, and flat iron. I am so excited about what is next for phase 2. I am loving this adventure and it is all thanks to an amazing crew of instructors. I had my hair colored by Miss Denika who is such a great lady she made my visit here nothing but laughters and her personality is so awesome and it came out really beautiful. I am really going to miss her once she graduates. But we will keep in touch. Also my two girls went to school here and my son is about to go to school here I’m hoping but no matter what time or when I come my hair always comes out beautiful and they make me feel at home so if you are up for getting a massage or your nails done I recommend this place. Everybody here always has a smile on their face and always friendly. I give them 110% GREAT PLACE!!!!

This has been one of the best experiences for me, marquis gethers is a very kind and talented man. I’ve been wanting to dye my hair and didn’t know where to go or where to start. I just want to send a HUGE shout out and thank you to Artistic Nails & Beauty Academy!!! They have been such a blessing to us. I work with an inpatient treatment center in Riverview. I am able to bring my ladies who have been through hell and back to them and the staff, especially Ms Rose, treat them like queens. These ladies come out of human trafficking, homelessness and severe isolation due to addiction. Ms Rose, the instructors, Program Director and all of the students show them nothing but love and respect! The ladies love to go and feel amazing when they leave!! Thank you for all that you do! Simply impeccable. That is the only way I can describe my experience at the academy. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with a young barber by the name of “Marquis”, needless to say my time was quite valued. He assisted me with great service while providing the exact haircut I asked for. His technique is very advanced for someone still in school, I was very impressed. Don’t be afraid to give this place a chance, ask for Marquis too!

I knew that I wanted to become a licensed massage therapist. I just didnt know where to start. Did some research and even though some of the comments scared me a little. I decided to check out the school myself. I dont regret my decision at all. The steps were simple.(ID,S.S, Tax Form, H.S Diploma) Covered with financial aid if you qualify. The staff is amazing. Ms. Debbie is so funny. She brings in that Motherly Feel with a personality out of this world. Jose is the massage program instructor. I came in with a dream and he turned it into a passion. Im currently in the Spa Therapy program. I cant wait to finish and Im definitely enjoying every minute of my journey. I definitely recommend the school.

I had services done with Barbara Riveria who is a student at this Academy. Barbara greeted me with a smile, communication all the steps that where given during the facial, answered all my questions, explained further treatment for my skin, encouraged me to wax my underarms (which I am sooo happy with), and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I loved her energy, professionalism, and cleanliness! She is definitely going to make it far in her career and I look forward to going back to her for all my services. So this school is a little cheaper than most and I can tell why. I’m in my third week and I can not wait to get out of the awful school. There is zero structure and zero communication. It’s a “learn at your own pace” environment which means pretty much teach yourself or learn from other students. My first day I walked around like a lost puppy because I wasn’t instructed at all I know by now in my third week that that’s just how this school works. You have to beg to be taught anything. There is only one instructor for several students so she just doesn’t have time for all of us. We are all mixed in to the same class and all on different levels which makes things extremely odd. I’m worried about not having enough education when I leave here. Today my instructor is absent and no one has been in to inform us of that or if another instructor is coming in. We had to find out this information from other students. It is literally a joke. Save your money and go somewhere better. I wish that I would have because this school does not set their students up for success what so ever. Literally the BIGGEST joke. I feel robbed. Also, I still have not received my make up kit that I paid for or my other two uniform shirts. When I got here they didn’t even have my book for me I had to use the teachers for the first week. The only thing that makes this school better are the other students because we all sort of learn on each other. I honestly feel like we all deserve more than this it’s almost heart breaking seeing everyone work towards their future while given so little.***UPDATE!!!! I am updating this review because the school deserves it. It is now 12/20/2020. I have received my license and have a new job as a lash stylist. After I posted this review I was approached about it IMMEDIATELY. I was assured that things would change AND THEY DID! There was more hands on learning as well as classroom lectures. There was an organized criteria and way better communication. Basically, the school did a 360 to meet my needs and I was extremely thankful for that. I came out educated and ready to tackle the world. Because of that Ive been successful in my field. I hope that it stays that way so that everyone can say the same. They are always very professional and clean. My latest experience with Mariane Williams (my nail tech) was terrific. I wasnt sure what I wanted exactly and she took the time to explain my options and together we decided what she would do. She did acrylic overlay with ombre color. Mariane was meticulous and worked quickly. My only regret is that she will be located in Lutz after graduation. Good Luck Mariane, Im sure you will do well.

I highly recommend going here if you’re in need of a haircut or any cosmetic needs. The barber Kayla hooked me up with a real dye haircut and I saw other student barbers actually doing some great work with their clients. I will definitely be coming back for my future haircuts.

I returned to this school for their $2 Tuesday/Thursday haircuts after a four year hiatus. The school is clean and well kept and during Covid there is proper social distancing in between work stations. Antwon S did a great cut on me and I always ask for him. He is very professional, gets my bald head very close with clippers as I cannot use razor or electric shavers and he works efficiently. Antwon has a very easy going personality and I would definitely support him at a shop once he graduates. Consider tipping your stylists as the fees go to the school.
