I had a fantastic experience at Modern Styles Barber Lounge. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a clean, modern space and a friendly atmosphere.Roy really listened to what I wanted and gave helpful suggestions. His attention to detail was impressive, and the end result was easily one of the best haircuts Ive had.The service was top-notch, too, Roy made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and the conversation was great.If youre looking for a great cut in a relaxed, professional setting, I highly recommend Roy and this shop. I highly recommend this barber. We have been going here for five months now. Every style my son asks for is done exactly as described. It is a one chair shop so you get a personalized experience. He not only cuts and styles my sons hair but he talks to him. I appreciate all positive male role models for my son and am super thankful that we found him as his barber. No smell of weed, no loud raunchy music. Truly a professional experience.

One of the painful parts of moving to a new city is leaving behind the great people you’ve found to help you solve problems in your life. When I moved to Orlando, I needed a new barber which has always been a challenge – my hair is both wavy and curly at various parts of my head! Thankfully, I found Roy after looking for a barber skilled with biracial hair.The one and only negative to say about the experience at Modern Styles is that his salon is in the rear of San Sebastian Square. I walked into another barbershop in the front thinking I had an appointment before realizing my mistake.I’ve often found that other hairstylists I’ve been to are inexperienced - or perhaps intimidated by biracial hair - and prefer simple styles. Roy, however, is a craftsman. He is careful to listen, reflects his understanding of what you’re looking for, and cuts meticulously to create your look and learn about your hair. This is not a fifteen-minute basic cut you get between other appointments but it’s worth the wait.One thing that stood out to me is that Roy will shampoo your hair personally rather than delegate to an assistant. That personal touch indicated to me that Roy is proud of his work and takes ownership of it.He gave me a great-looking temple fade that my wife said is the best cut I’ve ever had. He also recommended me a mousse that was lighter and better than any other product I’ve ever used; this may not sound like a big deal, but I’m 37 and have professional hairstylists in my family. For Roy to notice and correctly recommend something better is remarkable.Roy offers a better quality and more affordable cut than anyone else I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend him enough.

I walked in feeling discourage with my hair and walked out with confidence. I always had an issue with my edges and couldn’t find a haircut that look good with less attention on my missing sides. My son got a kids hair cut from here and I was very impressed. Roy cut my sons hair and did an excellent job. My son normally sits good but this time he kept putting his head down and moving. This did not phase or bother Rhoy at all. He was very kind and patient with my son. I highly recommend this barber shop!

This is the place to go. Went there today and truly left feeling pampered. Roy was AWESOME, He is a true professional with great humor and do celebrity hair, Thanks Roy for the great work! Great precision haircut and beard. Left feeling like a new man! I’ve been to many different places throughout the years and this will be my permanent place now! Very reasonable prices for the excellent service you get. I will most certainly go back and highly recommend everyone to try haircut.

I love Modern Styles Barber Lounge so much. I first visited with my boyfriend when he went for his haircut a few weeks ago with Sammy. I’m normally super picky about who I trust with my hair. Great business hours as well for those who get out of work late. A little on the pricy side, but well worth it for the special attention to detail. Have been going to Roy for 2 year. He has cut my my hair from short hair to growing my hair out. Shop is kept clean. He is good with kids he does both my sons haircut (1y/o and 4y/o). Shop is not packed and he books his appointments accordingly with buffers.Roy also keeps the environment safe for the lil people. He has a tv available to watch as well.
