Mo is the best at taking care of my natural hair! I started going to her last year and I love how far my hair has come. I was looking for someone to educate me on how to take care of my natural hair and I found that with Mo! Thank you Mo, for providing such an incredible service for this first timer! I literally felt like I was at a hair spa. Mo began my appointment by asking questions about my dietary habits and water intake and educated me on the importance of taking care of my body-internally, in order to achieve my goals of length retention and improving the overall health of my hair. The shampoo/conditioning with steam treatment and scalp massage were absolutely delightful and I was so sad when it was over. I left with beautifully hydrated twists, a refreshed scalp and tools and tips for a healthier lifestyle. I couldnt have asked for a better experience and will definitely return for another hair pampering session very soon! :)

Mo is absolutely incredible! Her creative vision and attention to detail is unmatched. She did my hair for a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I sent her an idea via a photo I had seen on Pinterest. She EXCEEDED any expectation I had, using the picture as a reference but taking it to a whole new level. All the other bridesmaids were jealous of how beautiful my hair was. Not only that but she was able to complete the hair style in the perfect amount of time! I would recommend her 10 out of 10 times.

A part of me wants to hog her for myself to ensure I can get my appointment in every month BUT I can’t do that to Monique because her gift should be shared with all. While I love styling the fro it was a little too high maintenance for my lifestyle because let’s be honest…life be lifeing so when I decided to loc up, I knew I had to go back to my girl Mo if I wanted a great outcome and boy am I happy I did. I had been researching microlocs and I reached out to Mo to ask questions as I knew it was a commitment. I started my loc journey in July. It took 8 hours for this woman to work her magic. I loved the result then and I love it now. I am not completely Loc’d yet but have received multiple compliments. When I went in for a retie in October, I was a little apprehensive because I thought it would hurt. No made it feel like a spa day. She gave me a wash with a good scrub, even put a relaxing masque in my face. I think the retie took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Now don’t let the pricing scare you because if you are someone that gets their hair done once or more a month you would probably spend about $100 (if not more, a month) and the style would not last the whole month. For me, this was the best option and I save so much money on products because I am only using distilled water on my hair (and a little jojoba oil on my scalp). It is worth the investment because I literally just twist my hair down at night and untwist in the morning, most with water, and go. I get to spend more time with my family and getting things done. I love it and have been able to count on Mo throughout the process. Plus she doesn’t have 5 stars for nothing. Go in her shop and you’ll see that there is no reward for giving a 5 star review. People actually love her work and you can tell it’s a labor of love. (Look at the last pic)

I just want to start off with saying that I love my hair!! When I originally set up the consultation, I was still unsure because I had never gotten my hair professionally done before. However, Mo is extremely knowledgeable in her profession and was able to answer all of my questions. She provided me with 2 vendors and even reached out to other clients of hers to get answers for me. When it was time for my service to be performed, she made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Her place of work has a professional/ homey feel that makes it feel pleasant aesthetically. Lastly, as I didn’t have the rest of the money up front, she did work with me to come up with a plan to pay her. I look forward to Mo being my new stylist for awhile!!

I was looking to find a cosmetologist that could not only style/braid hair, but care for natural hair as well…Mo, was a hidden gem, waiting to be found. She is truly passionate about what she does.She is detailed, patient, and ensures that you leave happy. Her heart is in what her craft is and that in itself speaks volumes for me. I havent been to a professional in over ten years (last experience was a lasting one and very poor). BUT seeing her work on IG and hearing a close friends testimony, I just knew I had to give this a try.Mo was amazing. She was HIGHLY informative. She educated me on my hair and made me feel confident that I can truly get my hair on the right track.I came in with the understanding that dead/split/damaged hair doesnt help me in my healthy hair journey so I was more than prepared for a cut. Mo gained my trust by not instantly suggesting a cut... She actually only mentioned a trim. We did agree to cut my hair after seeing some gaping holes but she wasnt scissor-happy at all. And that says a lot in the age of big chops.Cant wait to see her again and get that steam treatment. My scalp was so clean and happy after my appointment.

My experience was one like no other. I’ve never set in the chair of a stylist who on the onset of touching my head, I can feel positive energy radiating from their hands. Well with Mo, I felt the most positive energy from the moment she touched my hair. Her salon suite is decorated so beautifully and you can tell that she genuinely cares for making hair healthy! My hair cut was spectacular, my ends were so damaged and I was dealing with tender scalp, but Mo’s wash, scalp massage and services catered to my tender scalp. I have been dealing with dry scalp and my hair dropping. When I contacted Mo I explained everything that I as experiencing and she educated me on a whole other level. I booked my appointment shortly after that conversation. Let’s start with her salon soooo welcoming and just an amazing ambiance! I had my own personalized welcome note which I loved! I love the tingling shampoo she uses which tells me she uses professional brands and not over the counter products. In addition and most importantly, my appointments are bi-weekly and my hair has grown a little over 1/2 inch over the last 6 weeks. All I get done is a wash, blow out and flat iron. She is my stylist for life.
