Update: 3/2/2024 went back to get my hair colored and WOW! She did a wonderful job. Hubby is very happy! :)2/19/2024 What a hidden gem!!! The salon is so cute, clean and beautiful. I was so scared to go to a hair dresser after a bad experience with someone else 12 years ago. Lissy was so sweet and caring. She showed me everything she would do before cutting and really took her time and didnt make me feel rushed. My hair looks amazing like something in a magazine! It was my birthday so I decided to have a pedicure too! Wow! She did an awesome job as well and was very gentle since I have bad knees. If you are looking for a wonderful salon that has amazing customer service with kindness and care, you wont be disappointed here!

This place is worth every penny! They were so loving and caring with me as someone who’s never gotten my super dark hair colored before my appointment. Also they will be honest and not lie to you about what they can do which I very much appreciated. The atmosphere was so welcoming and like a second home. I was looking for a new hair stylist and I stumbled upon this gem. I thought I hit jackpot because it was literally within walking distance from my home, but it ended up being so much more! The salon is clean, for all stages of life, and the atmosphere is priceless! Lissy and her staff were welcoming and pros at what they do! My hair appointment turned into so much more…. It turned into a history discussion, therapy session, and provided laughs to the point that I could not feel my cheeks! Lissy offered amazing coffee and even fed me! This was an experience that is worth rating more than what 5 stars can offer! Looking forward to my next hair appointment!

I’m a new client, and I love my hair! My hair was very damaged when I went into the salon. I’m so grateful that she listened to what I wanted and do what made my hair look and feel amazing! She really cares about the health of your hair. I got a pedicure also and I love it! The girls were friendly and made me feel very comfortable. If you’re looking for a great salon I highly recommend Lissy’s beauty salon!

Lissy is amazing! I came in to fix my hair since I tried doing it myself! She gave me good suggestions and it came out so good.She’s also kind funny and easy to have conversation with! And she gives reasonable pricing for what she does.Love her energy.My family loved my hair so much my sister, my mom and my kids are now officially getting their hair done by her. Love, love, love my hair and Lissys Beauty Salon! Yesterday was my first time here and Im so glad I chose them to get my hair cut and styled! I was a walk-in and from the shampoo and deep conditioning treatment, to sipping on a delicious cup of Bustelo coffee while I waited for Lora to cut and style my hair, it was great....they were all so friendly and seem to really care about their clients. Ill definitely be going back!❤

Highly recommend. I took a chance in getting my hair cut here (only have gone to one person for years but she was out of town) and it was totally worth it. Lissy was super sweet, honest and a great conversationalist. I went in with split ends and the idea that I needed to dye my hair darker to make it look healthier. Lissy told me my hair color looked great (so shes not just trying to make money) and we went with a deep conditioner and a cut. My hair looked completely transformed after she was done. Definitely going back.

I stumbled upon this salon a year and a half ago in dire need of a cut. When I entered the salon, I was greeted by the nicest host, (not knowing it was the owner, Lissy) and immediately felt welcomed. The ladies, conducted an informal consultation of what my needs were and did their best to accommodate my request. I was taking a risk by allowing my first experience with a new salon to cut my hair, but ever since then, I have been a weekly customer of Lissys Beauty Salon. My regular hairdresser is Gracie, and she is the sweetest, most awesomeness with the blow dryer! I highly recommend this salon whether you have ethnic, fine, curly, or just hair...

I have a 13 year old daughter and I unfortunately dont know how to care for her hair properly. I unfortunately damaged her hair. I didnt only damage her hair I damaged her self esteem. At this age its so imperative to provide our children with encouragement. My daughter was afraid to have anyone touch her hair. She had a bad experience at another salon. But we found Lissete and she has the most gentle AND growing hands. My daughter looks forward to going to Lissys Salon and her confidence has really improved. This is a very clean and family owned business.

Today was my first visit to Lissys Salon. Fabulous! Fantastic! Superb! WOW! experience. My niece (14 yrs. old) , who lives in Delaware, needed and wanted her hair done. I searched for a salon that had consistent average to very good reviews. What my niece and I loved most about the experience was the following:1. How pleasant she was to us.2. She opened her salon on time.3. The customer service!4. Free flowing conversation.5. Cleanliness!!!My niece loves her hair!!Lissy aspires to do great things in the haircare industry. Being new to the area I read tons of reviews before deciding to try Lissys. Experience was to notch from the start. Lissy and everyone else including other clients were all wonderful and welcoming. I enjoyed my experience so much I went back a week later for the ultimate change. I decided to color my hair jetblack something I was always afraid to do. Lissy made me feel comfortable and walked me through the entire process. She asked a lot of questions and made sure I was comfortable with my decision before this drastic change.

I have been a customer for over 8yrs, its all about the health of your hair and great customer service at this salon! I get relaxer and color my hair is so healthy and beautiful. I get compliments all the time. When I get my hair done this is my time! I hook up to the Wi-Fi and do work, I drink some good coffee and enjoy the girl time! I recommend coming here if you are seeking healthy hair, a stylist that really takes time to know your hair and a place that treats you like family!

From the moment I walked in, Lissy had me sold. I came terrified a day before my graduation looking for some change. With my previous bad experiences with blonde hair I said I would never dye my hair again but she was awesome. She clearly knows her stuff, she was super nice & made me feel super comfortable. She did a test run to make sure the blonde would work on my black hair on a small piece before starting anything, & later gave me the price. She took her time & was very neat. I would definitely be coming back here again. Super happy with my hair! (:

This was my first time going there and I Loved it. Walking into the salon I was nervous being that Im from NY where at the dominican salons, the stylists chop off more than you asked, burn your scalp, are solely good at blow outs, etc. I have thick long hair that went down my back and my hair is naturally wavy, I came in wanting my hair in long layers and blown out. I didnt get the stylists name but I loved her. She said shes only been working there for a month so far and is from NY as well. She was so nice and sweet suggesting what would look best, which she was right Im glad I trusted her lol. I would DEFINITELY come again. The salon is nicely decorated, they take walk ins, theyre all polite and sweet. The only thing I would suggest, is for them to have some spanish music playing! lol

Have gone to Lissys about 4 times now. The last time, I received a keratin smoothing system. I cant rave enough about how it has done wonders for my (very kinky curly) hair!I love Lissys personality and when it comes to my ethnic hair, she really knows what she is doing. I also love that Lissy speaks english fluently. As a non-spanish speaker, it is hard to find a salon that understands both my hair (puerto-rican) and my language (2nd generation).I would highly recommend Lissys beauty salon to everyone. Appointments are not necessary, which is great, because I tend to do everything last minute and they even have free wifi so I can work.

I think we are all afraid of knowing that we have to move to another city and women are much more afraid of knowing that we have to get another beauty salon and trust in other hands. When I moved from Miami to Tampa I tried a few salons but I was NEVER satisfied.I wanted to arrive at a place and feel that trust, that respect and much more importantly the experience and thank God that is what I found when I arrived at Lissys Beauty Salon. My hair has undergone a magnificent change since I arrived here and much more so with the products they use.ALL stylists do an excellent job!!!!!!!I recommend to all those who have not yet found that special salon, to take a look and go to Lissys Beauty Salon. Salides Rivera, when you have layered hair you dont ask for the ends to be cut!! You have to ask for the cut to be done again without cutting too much and ending in a v, but apparently you didnt want to pay the cost and thats why you received what you asked for, the tips!! If you dont know how to ask for what you want you cant expect great things for $20 pesos!!! Cosmetologists pay a lot to get their license! To give away your work!!😡
