This place is literally child friendly. The seats were cars, lol... how cool is that?There were nice paintings on the walls, beautiful and serene environment, with a little lay area/ waiting area.They had a clean bathroom with a changing table.They had lots of toys and hair products you could buy.They have multiple televisions n the wall, so you can watch from every angle. After the first haircut, the take and print out a beautiful picture of my son for us. (The cost is included in the first haircut package.I think the place is pretty great.

Took our 18 month old son for his first haircut today hoping for a decent experience. What we got here was beyond our expectations. From the sign on the door that says all emotions are welcome (scared, shy, loud, etc), to the smiling and encouraging faces inside, to the absolutely incredible cut of his luscious curls, I was so so SO impressed and thankful that we picked this place to have this experience. Especially thankful for Jessica, who was an angel to our son and such a wonderful guide for his first haircut. She made him feel so comfortable and was fun to chat with as he sat and got pampered, and she gave us the feeling that Jonah would be very excited to see her next time. And there will 100% be a next time for us. Definitely recommend.

I recently took my two year old son for a haircut, and while he was quite a handful, the staff were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly patient, kind, and professional throughout the entire process. The place itself was clean, welcoming, and well equipped to handle young children. Despite the challenges, they managed to give my son a great haircut. I highly recommend this place for anyone with young children. Thank you for making his first hair cut experience possible and for being so sweet and kind!

What a wonderful experience! Melanie treated my girl like a true princess. Pampering her with a shampoo cut and style. We also got nails painted and fairy hair! She was so fun and made our whole experience awesome! We also got a boys cut and my son loves it...and of course playing the Nintendo switch while getting a haircut! And playing on the train table while he waited on his sister ❤️

We took our 20 month old to get his first haircut today. It was the best experience! We were greeted immediately and he got to pick out his chair, he decided on a fire truck to sit in and Provi the stylist worked her magic! She was so friendly and fun, made him feel so relaxed and worked quickly. His hair looks amazing! We will definitely be back, even with the 45 minute drive from where we live it’s was WELL worth the drive!! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to get a first haircut for their little one!

The staff was very friendly and understanding, which you would expect. The First Haircut package is only $29.95 and includes the cut, plus a photo and first lock of hair keepsake. The area and location is nice, and they have plenty of toys and things to do while you wait and while your child gets their cut. They also have a decent amount of toys for sale.

I have been cutting my son’s hair for 3 years because I’m too embarrassed to take him to a salon, he is not a fan at all! The last couple times his hair was butchered, once right before a Disney cruise. Jasmine was awesome! She listened to the look we were going for and was so good with my son, he didn’t freak out once! We will follow her wherever she goes!

I had read excellent reviews online and decided to give it a try. My son will be 3 in a few weeks and his hair was just way too much. The entire staff was excellent and treated us with respect. A child was crying when we got there, but everyone was doing a great job. I feared we would be that set of people with our son, but she made us feel comfortable and our son wasnt scared at all. It took a while because this was his first hair cut and had a lot of hair, but she was meticulous and his hair looks great! We traveled 50 minutes because this place had great reviews and it was worth it. He got to pick his own chair and they had so many toys to occupy him. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids, especially who are afraid to get their hair cut! I believe Chichi was her name and she was excellent!

Fantastic place I took my daughter Lisa here today to get her first professional haircut and it went amazing and we will be only going here from now on. The one star reviews they having saying the cut is never even and that they could do better because its easy are wrong. For one if it was easy enough for them to do it themselves they would have but didnt so what does that say 🤷‍♂️. Every haircut I saw there today including my daughter were absolutely perfect

This place was amazing to take my 2 year old son for his first haircut! He does not like his hair messed with and they distracted him the whole time. They gave him toys and played with him during the process. Afterwards he was able to play in their play area and even pick a toy out of the treasure box. I was nervous due to a few reviews previously that said they took clippers to the hair when they werent wanted. Melanie melted those fears. She was so amazing with my son. At 1.5 yrs old getting his hair cut for the 1st time. I brought in a picture of how I wanted his hair styled and she completely understood. This, and her, will be where my son goes to get his hair cut from now on.For added context, we live on the edge of lake county, so for us to visit this salon ot was almost an hr and a half ride, but 1000% worth it.

We love going to Pigtails & Crewcuts for Father-Son days. They take care of the place so well, and are incredibly talented when it comes to taking care of fidgety kids. My son loves going so much, we call it his reward haircut! Whether hes playing with the trains, having fun with all the other kids there, sitting in his favorite themed stylists chair, or collecting his animal crackers or prize afterward, he always has a blast!

Was nervous because for his first haircut he was getting sensory overload (son with Autism). We still walked out happy that day because they have a bunch of tricks up their sleeve to keep kiddos content.Since then I’ve been cutting his hair at home for the next few years and he would throw a fit and cry. I can not cut hair to save my life but I wanted to try and take him again. I was scared to take him today but to my surprise he was completely content and we both walked out so happy. We have always been lucky enough to have Melanie as our child’s beautician, and she is an expert at distraction and making a haircut the best experience for our toddler. We have never gone anywhere else, and no one but Melanie has ever cut his hair. She is an expert, and is amazing with kids.

Carole did such a great job on my son’s haircut. He is under 2 years old and has only had 3 haircuts. He is scared and the process and he has “stranger danger”. He can be a challenge since he cries for most of the cut. Carole treated my son with such patience and kindness and that made us feel at ease. We live in Orlando but will continue to make the trek to this location and ask for Carole.

She was great with my son and was very professional at the same time, engaging with him and making it super fun! She also greeted us as soon as we walked in. Jess, his hair stylist not only did amazing job cutting his hair, but managed to keep him happy and engaged the entire time! I happened to find Pigtails and Crewcuts on a whim and I was not disappointed! They are very clean, so nice, and so patient. My little one was not having it but they knew exactly what to do and how to handle things to get the job done and stay gentle and kind at the same time. The chairs designed as different vehicles are adorable and I really like the idea of them not only having a treasure chest the kids can choose from, but also a little toy shop inside. They even have televisions and give them trinkets to play with while they’re sitting there for their haircut. I don’t live in the area but I would definitely make the drive again when needed and recommend them to everyone with little children.

We didnt have an appointment (I didnt plan as I should have) - but Melanie made me feel as if it wasnt a problem if I was willing to wait for a couple openings. That woman is unshakable! The location is busy and I know there are lots of staffing shortages - but she NEVER lost her smile or patience. She had some screamers in there! She cut both of my boys hair in the brief moments of time she did have. We drove an hour for our kids first cuts as we wanted a defined kids place for their first time! Will make the drive again in the future as the experience was so great!

Our stylist said something about how sometimes the “autistic kids” come in and “freak out”, as she’s cutting my non-verbal, autistic kiddos hair. We will navigate those interactions often and I beat myself up for not saying more than my kids on the spectrum. Let’s add a few layers of education regarding how autism looks different for each kid and maybe we drop any mention of it. It’s hard enough with a very unkind world, that was a great opportunity for me to educate, but it’s tough to turn to that first vs frustration. Again, great experiences and my little dude stays fresh due to these ladies.

Her full name is Jessica but we call her Ms. Jessi for a nick name. She made our first experience one to remember and it made us want to comeback for yet another fun haircut adventure. My son is now 6 years old now and we still continue to take him to Pig tails and crew cuts to get his haircut and we are always asking for Ms.Jessica.
