    Lindsey is my girl!! She is fantastic at vivid coloring, and perfectly lightens my almost jet black hair every time. She is extremely thorough while coloring your hair, and the results clearly show. She gave me tips on how to care for my new hair color, and even after bleaching several times, my hair is still extremely healthy. Lindsey takes such great care of me and my hair, and is so easy going and fun to talk to that the time flies by. The pricing is definitely fair for what you get and with her level of expertise. You are in great hands with her, and I can’t recommend her enough!

    Angelina has been cutting and dying my hair for over a year now. Before coming to Angelina I had the same hairstylist for five years so I was hesitant to try someone new. However upon meeting Angelina I knew she wouldn’t disappoint. She gives you exactly what you ask for from your inspo pictures. I’ve never left her chair disappointed. She is kind and makes you feel comfortable the whole session. Outside of her great professionalism and skills she is an icon to say the least. If you’re looking for a laid back, fun, talented hairstyle Angelina at beach break is the way to go!! She’s so good that I travel back from Orlando just to see her!:)

    Great communication, awesome vibe, and one of the best cuts I’ve ever had and even though I don’t have much hair I am extremely picky. Mrs Rilee took care of me and had me looking right when I walked out. Super friendly, super clean , and very professional even though her and her co workers made me feel like a rock star. Definitely recommend anyone that needs any salon services to check them out. I will be a repeat customer.

    I went to a stylist in town to get my hair color corrected, and she did a remover to get some green and brown out and then referred me to Beach Break because she didn’t have availability until late july-early august to do the rest (she also said even if i did book with her late july-early august to do the rest it would take awhile, many appointments over a long time span and a lot of patience). I’m glad i came here because Rilee is awesome and she was able to double book me soon after and lift my hair to this blonde in just one appointment, I didn’t know how many it was going to take to get to. Only one more until i get my desired color and i can’t wait! My last stylist told me it would be at least 4 appointments after the remover, but now i only need one more! I definitely reccomend rilee. She does a great job and she is also very sweet and reassuring.

    The vibe of this salon is positive, chill, and tranquil. Pride of ownership is evident by representation of the stylists and the establishment. The stylists are up to date with current trends and are open to ideas made custom for individual clients. All whom I have had the pleasure of interacting with are nothing less than kind and professional. My stylist, Alyssa, is amazing and I am now a forever client.

    Over the many years of going platinum blonde, I have tried went to many hair stylist and no one could achieve the blonde I was hoping for, I had better experience with box bleach at home. Then one day I came across Rilee who specializes in blonde treatment. I am never one to leave a bad review or complain so I was going to test her out and if I couldnt get the results I wanted I just wouldnt go back. That was 4 years ago and I havent seen another stylist since. I trust Rilee blindly because I dont know hair talk so whatever she thinks I need I just go with it. The many laughs, tears, life accomplishments we have shared in her chair are just a touch of how great the service over the last four years has been. I couldnt recommend someone more than I would her. As a bleach and tone girly I get many compliments on how well many hair is taken care of. Cant wait to get extensions by her for my birthday in the next two weeks.

    I recently moved to the city and I asked around to try to find a hair stylist who could handle my brassy blonde. A friend of a friend let me know about Beach Break Salon and said Rilee was the BEST. 1 year later, 4 highlights later - I can only agree :) Rilee has great attention to detail, listens to all my concerns, uses Olaplex in the foils to keep the hydration, and even allows me to take a work call from the chair. My hair has never looked healthier! It’s not a quick in and out salon as they don’t use heat dryers to speed up the lightening process, but I actually enough that portion. If you’ve got the time and are looking for a blonde expert, Rilee is your girl.

    This salon is so cute!!! Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. My stylist Rilee has been amazing. I came to her with a mess of a color job from someone else and she fixed it perfectly within two sessions. I was satisfied after the first session but session two was perfection. She is easy to talk to and explain what you want and gives good feedback. Rilee is also easy to have a convo with during your appointment.

    I’ve been getting my hair cut by Rilee for a few years now. From chopping off my length to switching up my medium cut, she always does exactly what I’m looking for and works within my hair texture. As a naturally curly girl, my styles always look amazing natural or blown out! She’s always super sweet, responsive to messages, and provides stellar service. The salon is cute and clean!     Update:Before- Pics of me are in the grey sweater. Other pics provided are what I showed as inspo. I paid over $400 for my hair to basically be bleached. I asked for a balayage sun kissed bronde look with making it look natural blended into my natural light brown hair color and root smudge. I looked over at the managers face when the stylist was taking the foils out and she made a oh wow face and said that is really bright. The stylist looked over at the manager and shrugged she said she wanted blonde. Which is NOT what I had said. I think she knew she messed up and tried to cover it up. After she blow dried my hair, I noticed there were parts of the bleach that were not blended, so it was my natural color and then bleach blonde. The manager came over and told the stylist how to fix it by adding different colored toners (which would fade after about a month). She did what the manager said but after a second wash and dry, it didnt look different at all. I really didnt want to hurt the girls feelings bc she is very kind, but I tried not to cry because I feel like she ruined my hair. They kept lying to me saying it looked good and asking me how they could fix it. I paid because I was upset and just wanted to leave after spending 6 HOURS in the salon. My appt was at 12 Friday and didnt leave til 6pm. Not sure if my hair can be salvaged? I called Saturday asking for a refund, and was told Monday someone would contact me. Meanwhile my hair is super damaged, dry, and bleach blonde. Would not recommend.After- Me in the black shirt. Natasha the owner contacted me and was professional, accommodating, and understanding. I really appreciate the lengths she went to make me feel heard and taken care of. She let me look at each stylists profile and choose who I would trust to fix my hair. After reviewing, I went with Lindsey. Natasha was also present upon my appointment and made sure I was happy with the plan. Lindsey did a reverse balayage on my hair to add more dimension, and also toned it to get rid of the yellowness. Something they did which went above and beyond was they gave me a free protein treatment for my hair and shampoo and conditioner specifically to maintain my hair. I am so happy with the outcome and am grateful I gave Beach Break a second chance.

    We saw Tatum ( I think thats how its spelled). She cut my twin toddlers hair for the first time. She was amazing and patient. She was great at cutting little by little at the kids pace and for my partner and I to be able to enjoy the process without the anxiety of too much being taken off. Tatum was awesome in asking us if we wanted to go shorter and saved some hair for us in baggies.     I found Rilee after a year of searching for hair salons in the Gainesville area. Beauty break has some of the fairest prices, most talented stylists, and best atmosphere! I just got my highlights done for the third time now and it gets better every time! I went for my initial consultation in October of 2022 and Rilee has paid attention and kept in mind my original vision for my hair the whole time including my concerns for damage and how were going to achieve the color I want! Every time I come in here to get my hair done its like a vacation, the vibes are so cute and everyone is beyond friendly! They even offer water and other beverages to ensure a comfortable customer experience, 10/10 if you are a college student new to gainesville or are simply looking for a new salon this is the place to be!!

    I’ve been going to Beach Break salon since October 2022 and I haven’t looked back. In Gainesville, it’s hard to find a stylist who can bleach dark hair (trust me, I’ve tried a few) and when I decided to walk into my “nearby salon,” aka Beach Break, I knew I wouldn’t have to keep searching for somewhere to maintain my roots. Rilee does my hair so good! She is thorough in her work and is sure to let me know what’s going on at each and every step. She is also upfront about costs and her abilities, so if she thinks another stylist would be better for what a client is looking for, she will let you know. The vibe is welcoming and it seems like everyone who works there loves their job. Also, compared to other salons in the area, Beach Break is pretty affordable, especially considering the amazing quality of their work.

    I cannot say enough good things about Kate Coiner! She was my stylist, and had her work cut out for her. After several years of at-home boxed auburn coloring, I wanted something new and professionally done. I brought in several pictures of the balayage style I wanted, and she worked with me to develop the exact steps of the styling plan. She was incredibly patient, and explained all options, both before and during the actual coloring. She also cut, blew out, and styled my hair. A major bonus of Beach Break Salon is that, unlike most salons, hair coloring is a set price, no matter the length/ amount of hair. All in all, I expected to pay a lot more. The ambiance at Beach Break is awesome! Kate did a fantastic job, and was a great conversationalist. Ive been to hair salons/stylists all over the country and Kate/ Beach Break Salon is one of my top experiences - a real hidden gem!

    Beach Break Salon was completely amazing! I loved the atmosphere! It reminded me of my hometown and being at the beach. It really was more of a hang out place and all the stylists make you feel welcome. I had Zoe as a stylist and I definitely recommend going to her. She gave me exactly what I wanted with only being told a length range and wanting it to be low maintenance. I have only ever had negative experiences getting my haircut in my life, thats a reason why I let it grow out and get crazy cause I dont trust my hair to be tampered with after getting a bad cut. After my experience at Beach Break Salon, I am no longer afraid of someone cutting my hair because Zoe did phenomenal!Update 8-23-2020: since this original review 4 years ago I have only been to Beach Break. I went back and saw Zoe 2 more times until she ended up moving and then I’ve seen my new stylist Rilee 2 times as well (most recently back in June of this year) and will definitely be going back when I need too. They have never disappointed me and I am so thankful, still to this day, that I took my friends advice back then and found a place that truly listens to their clients.

    Beach break is the only place I trust in Gainesville to get my hair cut, colored, and quality hair products. I’ve been having all my hair needs taken care of here for the last five years. Kaylee is the BEST with cuts and colors. You show her your Pinterest dreams and she’s like your hair fairy-god mother. She delivers above expectations on coloring and cutting and then styles it to your liking. If you’re new in town and don’t want to keep making that drive back home to get your hair done or if you just want a better quality hair do, i’d definitely go to beach break and then I’d ask for Kaylee.     Beach Break Salon is the only salon worth going to! I love this place - the stylist and staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is fun and you cant go wrong with Paul Mitchell products. When I first started getting my hair done at BBS, I had Chelsea as my stylist. She was wonderful and I was very sad when she left the salon. The staff got me in right away with Caitlin and I have to say - she was amazing. She knew what she was doing - I was nervous since I had not used her before, but she blew my mind. The hair cut that I received was gorgeous. This salon is highly recommended (along with Caitlin as a stylist). 4.8 out of 5 stars say a lot about their reputation.

    Im from out of town, and I was looking for salons within the area. I usually make my decision based on the number of reviews and if it is highly rated. I looked at Mode, Avant, and this place. I checked for available appointments for that day; I wanted highlights and cut. Between the three, I chose Beach Break because there was an available stylist that day (I procrastinated on making an appointment).The atmosphere was great. Everyone was friendly. They offered me something to drink as I waited.My stylist was Kate. She asked what I wanted and could already tell that she knew how to color and style my hair. I have not had highlights in a while, and I was nervous because the last time was just a bad job.I was in the salon for about 3 hours, but it was worth it and had a great conversation out of it. There was even a chunk of highlight that she re-touched for me and made sure was toned down to the color I wanted (It took three tone downs).The price was good, and its a plus that they donate to a great cause. I would recommend Kate and going to this location.

    Just had the most AMAZING experience. First off, you should know that the salon is owned by the VP of research and development for PAUL MITCHELL! The staff is wonderful and very kind. Zoe was patient enough to meet with me twice in one day. I donated my hair and I was quite nervous. She met with me for a consult and then cut my hair later that day. She did a phenomenal job. I am so happy with my cut and it was an overall pleasant experience. The atmosphere was relaxing, I got to enjoy a glass of wine, and Zoe was so easy and fun to talk to. I enjoyed getting to know her (even if it was only for a little while). I will definitely be going back to Beach Break and I recommend you do the same. You cant beat the price, atmosphere, the people, or their excellent work. THANK YOU!

    I really cant even explain how amazing my experience was at Beach Break. My hairstylist was Katie and she was wonderful in every aspect. Ive never had a stylist actually listen to what I wanted and continuously explain the processes of cutting my hair.     Lets be honest: I have trust issues when it comes to letting people cut my hair (looking at you, lady that gave me a bowl cut when I was in fourth grade). I went to Beach Break Salon based on the recommendation of a friend, and the experience was awesome. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere of the salon makes you feel very relaxed.Zoe did my pixie cut and I will definitely be back.     I absolutely love this salon and all of the stylists who work here. It is the only place I trust since I have had some really bad experiences with other salons. Natasha goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are highly satisfied and I have been going to her for years! All of the stylists are well trained and they all work great as a team.     While seeking a new hairstylist Instagram tags led me to find Kaylee. I was in particular need of a stylist to work some blonde magic. After seeing the variety of blonde looks Kaylee has so flawlessly executed I didn’t waste any time before reaching out to her. She was quick to respond and after a few short exchanges I had an appointment booked with her for the following Monday.Let me tell you, Kaylee nailed it!     Upon moving to Gainesville I was terrified to find a new stylist after being botched previously. I found Lindsey on intstagram and made a consultation. She nailed my hair. It was exactly what I wanted and she kept the integrity of my hair in mind. I went back again and had a touch up and it looked amazing!     I decided I wanted to go platinum blonde last year and was incredibly nervous about finding the right stylist to do so. Ive been trying out different stylists at different salons around Gainesville for the last four years and none of them ever stuck. That is, until I found Rilee! She did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job at making me go platinum blonde for the first time and even dyed my tips pink last month so I could have a little fun with it! Ive loved her haircuts, her styling, and her coloring skills. Shes also a wonderful conversationalist if you want to talk during the appt and the other stylists are also extremely fun and friendly.     I am new to Gainesville and desperately needed a haircut. I looked at a few places and primarily went here because they were open later. I stepped in and was immediately impressed!!!     This place is wonderful! I went to Beach Break because I needed my hair done for a wedding. I had Patty as my hairstylist and she was incredible! She took the time to straighten and then curl my hair. She was gentle and didnt rush the process. I had my appt at 9 am and my hair lasted until the wedding at 5 pm!! The prices are very reasonable for well good of a job they do. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

    My experiences at Beach Break have been nothing short of amazing! I’ve genuinely never been so satisfied with a salon before, every time I go in, they give me the exact look I’m going for and I think that really shows the quality of stylists they have. I’ve worked with Mariah multiple times and she is just the best!! Absolutely love her and everything she has done for my hair. I’ve always had a weird cowlick at the front of my hairline that’s stopped me from ever having bangs. Even other stylists told me there was nothing I could really do, but Mariah hooked me up and I’m sooo happy having bangs. After going for a full year, I put my trust in her to do highlights (kinda a big deal for me since I’ve never dyed my hair before) and Mariah absolutely SNAPPED!! It looks so good, and she even stayed an extra hour to make sure the toning was correct. I can’t think of another salon where I’ve received the same level of service.     Emily is awesome! She takes her time and listens to what you want very well and is also just a generally kind person. She is also very non-judgemental, as is everyone in the salon I have spoken too. I use box color on my hair and instead of trying to talk me into professional highlights she complemented my color and didnt shame me for doing it myself. I go to school in Gainesville but when I was home for the summer I drove up to get my hair cut here.

    Beach Break is by far the best place around! Excellent work, a local business, Locks of Love, and helping the sea turtles, all important to us. My family has each had a cut there at least once, except my youngest child. For my teenagers, going to Beach Break not only means a cut, but usually a change of style, with color involved. Each stylist we have had has been great, but standing out is Ashley. She transformed my daughters hair a few years ago, and she has given my teenage son two of the best cuts he has ever had. Yesterday he wanted bleach and color, too, and though we did not have an appointment, thanks to karma, we got in with Ashley and she did a great job. Ashley understands how important listening to the client is, and how self esteem can be tied in to a teenagers appearance. Ashley follows ideas and kindly offers advice when asked. Seriously, as a mom I am so grateful to Ashley for treating my kids as individuals and making them feel important.     Melanie took on a pretty tough dye job with me: I had many layers of blonde highlights, done over the years, on brown hair, and wanted a dark auburn, a pretty tough color to achieve. She actually asked for advice from the other stylists there about what colors to mix before she put it on, which I thought was really cool of her. The color came out absolutely gorgeous - the highlights did not create a huge conflict in dimension, as I feared would happen. Melanie and the other stylists were sweet as pie.     I have been going to Rebekah for about two years now, and Im pretty sure I will still try to make appointments with her when Im passing through Gainesville even though I have graduated. Shes incredibly patient, works with her guests to know exactly what they want, and she has never disappointed me.     I was only in Gainesville for a conference, and made an appointment for a cut and full highlights based off of the previous very positive Google reviews. I had my appointment with Tara, who was great. She did an excellent job on my highlights, was very meticulous. Tara listened well to what I wanted, and offered great suggestions for caring for my hair.     WOW!!! This place is the best.1. The staff! All super nice and they work together as a team! If one doesnt know the best way to do something they will consult with each other, its a great environment.2. They offer so much!!!!! Different types of extensions, all types of coloring (they are not afraid of any color request you bring) and their styling is top notch. While youre there for your hair you can get waxed also!!3.     I dont ever get my hair color done at the salon. I am one of those that uses box color kits. Well I have finally learned my lesson after my hair turned blue/green. Long story! Beach Break Salon came to the rescue! My colorist was Calla and she was my savior! She took her time to explain each step and how they were going to get me back to a natural color. The end results were amazing! The salon was clean, inviting and fun! I appreciated the time and effort that Calla spent on my hair color. I will definitely be using them again!

    I have been going to Beach Break for about three years, and Emily is the BEST stylist I have ever had! When I first came to Emily, my hair was super damaged from years of going back and forth between blonde and brown. Now, my hair is strong and healthy. She really takes her time during a consult to listen to what you want and offers appropriate suggestions. I also love that she explains all of the products shes using and will suggest products for you specifically, but there is never any pressure to buy anything (although I always end up getting everything!!).     I went to Beach Break based on the good reviews. I have lived in Gainesville for 5 years and havent yet found a salon (or hairdresser) that was great and also affordable! I felt the prices were really reasonable. I originally was scheduled to be with Rachel based her great reviews on here (there was a mixup with the appointment time - I showed up and they had me down two hours later but were super apologetic about it). I had to reschedule for another day and they booked me with Emily Pinsky and I could not be happier!! I have had partial highlights in my hair for about 10 years and only one other hairdresser (in California) in all that time was able to get as close to the roots as Emily did. Ive come back from other hairdressers with 1/2 roots still showing in parts! She took her time, was very attentive to detail, and listened well.     I’ve been going here for 5 years and won’t get my haircut anywhere else! When I came here as a freshman who had never been to any hair salon other than the one my mother went to, I was unsure of where to go in Gainesville. After some research, I put my faith in the Paul Mitchell name, and was not disappointed! I used to have Dustin cut my hair but he left a little while ago to open his own studio, so now I have Lindsay cutting my hair and she does a great job! They’re very fair with pricing and their services are fast! They even worked with me in pricing my undercut! Instead of charging me for a full men’s haircut, they just charged me $10, which is more than fair to me! They’re a great business, and they offer so much to their customers, including complimentary drinks for those interested! I tell all my friends to come here :-)

    Last week I received a haircut from Dustin. I could not be happier! It was a fun and wonderful experience. Dustin is a perfectionist and made my time there absolutely fantastic. From the warm welcome I received, to a hug as I was leaving, Ive never felt so relaxed and welcome at a salon. My hair looks great, even when I style it and when I let it air dry. Both my friends and I have been to a couple of hazardous salons in Gainesville that provided horrible hair cuts, but this is NOT one of those places.     When I left Beach Break salon, where Rilee had introduced my hair to balayage for the first time, I was so sad, because I knew that it was only a matter of time before her amazing work wore off, and I would be left to my own devices to recreate this wavy miracle she performed. She is a sorceress. You will leave Beach Break Salon like “Ahhh I love my hair so much I want it to always look just like this!” Forget about that. You will not be able to make your style look half as incredible as she did, she has skills we do not possess, but trying is a lot of fun.     I highly recommend Kaylee at Beach Break Salon! I found her through instagram because I was looking for an expert in balayages in Gainesville. During my visit she was incredibly sweet and professional and when she revealed my hair, I was completely shocked. My hair was better than the inspo pictures that I showed her!     Had a wonderful first visit to Beach Break! I made a same-day appointment to chop off about 7 inches of my hair. Firstly, I love that theyre open til 8, to accommodate us 9-5ers. Second, my stylist was Rachel, and she was fantastic. She seemed genuinely excited about giving me a new style, and it made me feel more comfortable with my drastic decision. She had a vision for my hair, and executed it perfectly. She was also very pleasant and fun to talk to. There was a relaxed vibe in the salon and an easy banter. The decor was exactly what youd expect for a salon called Beach Break. Very fun, and overall a great experience. Not to mention the best value for a haircut in Gainesville.     No place compares to Beach Break Salon. Brenda is more family than friend and has made us feel that way since we stepped foot in the salon the day it opened in Gainesville. I refuse to let anyone, but the professionals at Beach Break cut my hair. I started off with Ashley and moved my hair relationship to Becca once Ashley moved away, neither one has ever disappointed. They are experienced with long hair, extremely long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair, whatever hair they know how to make it look its absolute best. Annie is amazing and I never leave without a smile from her jokes. Dustin is lovely and my favorite man who has ever worked there.     The best salon in Gainesville by far!! I died my hair for the first time and Dustin was incredible, I was obviously nervous and he was so calming. He was so professional too, he explained everything he was doing to my hair and I could tell he loves what he does more than anything (besides his dog).     I was looking for a salon that wasnt just another chain and I found Beach Break on Google. So many reviews with such a high rating helped me decide to call them and make an appointment for the following week with Laura. She understood exactly what I wanted and listened to what I had to say about my hair (including understanding my rebellious cowlick) and gave me such a perfect cut. She knew how to work and style my particular hair type and tame the cowlick! The price was perfect, not too high and not too low, and the environment was inviting and comfortable.     I first found beach break after moving to Gainesville for college some years ago. I didnt know a soul in town and so I went to Beach Break because the place seemed clean, professional, and it was close enough to campus. Beach Break is the first salon I tried in Gainesville and it will most definitely be the last. I have never been disappointed in the services Ive received.When I went into the salon originally I had yellow-blonde highlights with thick, horrid-looking roots. I wanted to look more natural, and I gave my stylist, Dustin Lawrence, free reign to fix my mangled mop. He color corrected my blonde and disguised my dark roots. On top of that he cut my hair without cutting off too many inches, which often happens to me.Five years since first entering the salon, I continue to be a devout guest. I currently have an undercut and Dustin is the only stylist I trust to design it. His work is very intricate and because of his immense dedication to each task he does, I constantly leave feeling wonderful. He is pleasant to work with and always smiles, no matter if Im his first or last client of the day.The last few appointments Ive had have been very fun. I have been wanting to put colors in my hair and Dustin went above and beyond my expectations. Before my first mermaid appointment, I went in and Dustin tested different colors on my hair to see how my hair would handle them. He wanted to ensure my hair was as healthy as possible and that the colors would be as vibrant as I was asking. On the day of the appointment, I left in awe. My hair had every color of the rainbow woven within. I got so many compliments and Dustin really made me feel like a superstar.Ive also had two other stylists at the salon - Rebekah Williams and Caitlin Achord - and both of them are equally as delightful. I especially appreciate the salon owner circulating the floor while clients receive services to make sure that things are going well and according to plan. I love Beach Break from the staff to the ambiance. I always feel like an honorary guest even when Im just going in for a basic trim.If youre new to town (or not), you shouldnt hesitate to try out Beach Break Salon.     I live an hour away from beach break salon but the drive was most definitely worth it. My stylist was brent and he was amazing. He listened to what I wanted and really cared. He was funny and took his time with the cut to make it perfect.     Dustin Lawrence is amazing! This was my first and certainly not last visit to Beach Break Salon! I had really long hair and wanted a long bob. He cut off around 10 inches, a drastic amount. He made sure I was cutting it for the right reasons and wouldnt regret it. During the cut it was a lot of fun chit chat, and after the cut he said if there was anything that bugged me about the cut, come back in, because his cut was guaranteed. So if there are fly-aways or it isnt quite laying right I can go back and hell fix it for free! I havent had anyone cut my hair for over 4 years (I usually do my own trim and my hair has been the same style for years) and Dustin did such a great job that I will recommend him and Beach Break salon to all my friends in Gainesville!

    Perfect for first timers. I have never had a salon level hair treatment before and I never did anything crazy with my hair. The stylists were accommodating, fun, and creative. I decided to chop off 3 inches of hair, have a balayage all over with fashion colors. Additionally, they gave me a free sample to try on my thin hair to help it appear and feel thicker. The appointment time was 1045 and I got there a little early to prepare for the consult. I came with Pinterest pictures of what I wanted and expressed that I really aimed for subtle oil slick look. My stylist had fun with my hair and I learned a lot about maintenance and what to expect today. I ended up staying for nearly 5 hours due the balayage treatment, wash, dry, and drying then dyeing and haircut. She even curled my hair after dyeing and cutting. I was often offered a beverage or magazine, they were very thoughtful. My stylist made sure that I felt welcome. I am overall happy with the work. She thanked me for my patience and I hope to see her again for my touch up.

    Loved it! Today was my first time going just for a haircut (long to about chin length) and I worked with Natasha. She is so attentive and detail oriented, we talked extensively throughout the whole process and she really made me feel so comfortable.     Huge shout out to Rilee Grooms. I have been a self color/cut person for 25 + years. Got a hold of a bad box color recently and totally fried my hair. Called Rilee and she fit me right in. Took the time to explain things and then we started the repair process, back in October 2018. Had to cut a lot off but hair was on the mend.     I had a terrible color job at another salon. I was calling around places crying trying to find somewhere to fix it because the place that did said they did not have time to fix it. This place took me and they tagged teamed in order to get me in. They colored it, washed, deep conditioned, and styled it. They didnt charge me! I was flabbergasted.     I had never gone to a salon before, so when my friend told about this place that I had to check out, I was pretty skeptical. I am glad I let him drag me along. Pretty soon, we were going once a week and bringing other friends along just to hang out and we never went anywhere else to get our hair cut. Its full-service, complete with the shampooing and head massage and, of course, all the staff are more than competent. I dont think I have ever been this good-looking ;) Everyone there is incredibly nice - the kind of people that recognize you when you come back and are excited to see you again. Check it out soon!

    I went in about a little over a month ago, and was recommended by a friend to use Dustin for my color. I have to say, I was wary about having someone Ive never been to before do my color! Im a red head, and red is the most difficult to work with! But Dustin was more than fantastic! He listened to me to give me exactly what I wanted. He not only knows color theory so well, but he also knows about art and shapes so the dimension he gave me far exceeds the work my routine colorist does back home!     Ive had a hard time finding a hair salon I like in Gainesville. I have been experiencing thinning hair and was worried about finding a place that would be gentle with my hair.     I made an appointment for a haircut with angel but she was out sick so I saw Lindsey instead. Let me tell you, she was amazing!     Kaylee just saved my hair!I got it done somewhere else last week to touch up my roots and was left with hot roots — it seriously looked like I was wearing a brassy ball cap on my head and I was left with hard lines of demarcation and brittle ends.Kaylee blended the brass in with my blonde and added a shadow root to soften the demarcation and blend everything in.She was efficient and communicated well with me and helped me achieve what I had wanted last week before my botched touch up.She got me as close as she could and I am very satisfied.Ask for Kaylee if you’re a blonde and love a natural look!(She may be great at other things but she babied my blonde like it needed it!)

    I had a fantastic experience with Brandi M. at Beach Break Salon, and I’ll never go anywhere else again! I came in the salon with long brunette hair (a solid 5-6 on the color scale) with a few pictures on Pinterest and some vague ideas about going blonde and cutting it shoulder-length for the summer, and somehow she worked her magic. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. They greeted me and were so pleasant when I arrived. The shop itself was clean, relaxing and inviting, which is important. Brandi M. looked at the pictures I brought and listened to all of my ideas and concerns, and then she gave me some ideas based on her years of experience that we discussed. The entire time, she explained each step of the process, which I appreciated. All the staff members were nice and friendly. The staff members and even the other clients were in a conversation laughing and having fun (yes, kind of like you see on tv), and it made me feel comfortable, at ease and like I was hanging out with friends. My husband had a huge smile on his face when he saw it for the first time, and said he loved it. I absolutely love the cut and the color, but I especially loved the experience I had while getting my hair done for the start of summer. I’ve definitely found my salon!

    After reading raving reviews about the salon on Google as well as receiving suggestions to go there from friends, I decided to try it out. I went today for a haircut and partial highlight, and I cannot be more pleased with it. The atmosphere is great, and all of the workers are very social. I was immediately asked if I needed anything to drink after checking in, and they continued to ask while I was there. It is very clear that the people who go there are regulars, which is appealing to me because I needed a place in Gainesville where I can go during the rest of my time as a student here. I had Emily due to a suggestion that she was very good with blondes, and I am very glad that I had her. Although I was a little scared about my hair being too blonde, the color ended up coming out extremely well. Even though they were having some computer issues at check-out, I enjoyed my experience from beginning to end, and I will definitely be returning.

He was very concerned (as I was) for the integrity of my hair and gave me several coloring options to choose from, explaining the pros and cons to each look. When we finally decided what to do, he took the time to explain each step of the process and (when I asked, as I’m always curious about hair chemistry) what each step was doing to my hair.It was a long, multi-tiered process to get the vision we wanted, but the end was pure perfection: I went from dark brown hair to a lovely, multidimensional ash blonde with shadow root and lowlights, and we did several moisturizing steps in between the lifting to preserve the integrity of my hair. When he finished blowdrying, my hair was so soft and shiny, not at all how I’d imagined it’d be with all that lifting.And, as an added bonus, I really enjoyed spending time with him! Dustin is so funny and easy to talk to. Had we not met at a salon, we’d get along swimmingly. :)In short, despite it being my very first time at Beach Break, I was treated like an old friend. I got amazing service, amazing hair, and despite being a long process to get what I wanted, I had a very relaxing time.I won’t be trusting my color to anyone else! Dustin is the absolute bomb.

    Even though it has been a few months since my visit, I wanted to clear the name of Natasha (Tasha). Before I went in to Beach Break, I read the Google Reviews and found disturbing information about Natasha that I actually thought was a little fishy...the story was harsh and did not make total sense. So, I went in and talked to Natasha about it before trusting her with my hair. The staff was extremely welcoming when I went in and honest about the reality of what I wanted to do to my hair - low and highlights with dramatic blondes on top of my dark-ish brown hair. Natasha was honest and said it would take more than one visit to completely change some strands to blonde - which I was perfectly okay with. In a previous comment about Natasha, it was said that she is incompetent because she consulted other specialists about the hair of the girl she was working on. WELL, sometimes you need others expert opinions to produce results. Natasha consulted others about the specific low and high colors she should use for my hair until they (and me) came to a great choice! I feel its important to work as a team, consulting others DOES NOT mean one is incompetent.If you go into a salon with a set thought on what you want, you have to keep in mind the type of hair you need for a specific style. For example, if you want a V cut, you not only need SUPER long hair, but PIN straight hair too...and thin! Or it just will not work. Natasha was not afraid to tell me that a certain red color I wanted to put in would fade fast with my natural color and she advised against it, something I followed.Natasha experimented with a newer highlight called teasy lights where the color does not come straight from the root. THIS IS AWESOME because it is very low maintenance and I can go back whenever I want to brighten up the blondes. A few months later and I am still in love with my dramatic teasy lights (and lows) that Natasha did. Shes smart, nice, and likes to satisfy the customer with honesty though!I cannot wait to go see her again. She IS a great stylist.

    I came in for a special conditioning treatment only done by Paul Mitchell salons because my hair was over-processed from another salon in town. I love the ambiance & the staff is super friendly. My hair stylist was honest & helpful about my hair. Ive made an appointment to come back again!

    I have been coming to Beach Break for years and I have never been disappointed. I personally see Natasha and she is amazing! All of the staff are so professional and skilled at their craft. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair!

    Had my hair cut by Sam today, she was really nice understood exactly what I wanted. I love my new hair and have had loads of compliments already. I felt really relaxed and welcomed and will definitely be going back for my next cut!

    Angel is absolutely amazing. She is such a personable person who really takes the time to make you feel beautiful in her chair! We always have great conversations and I have never left her chair feeling anything but gorgeous. I highly recommended booking with her!

    My favorite hair cut ever!! I had Lindsay and she did exactly what I wanted. Was super enthusiastic the whole time and even offered to do a little extra trim on my bangs. Awesome place, great location, and friendly staff!

    The staff is good for contemporary cuts and actually listens to what you want. Ive been satisfied with 2 of my 3 cuts here; like any other parlor your luck depends on who is cutting your hair that day. The blowdrys though havent been the best. They usually offer some kind of beverage.
