    Mimi is truly exceptional! I had an amazing experience getting my hair done by her. As both a person and a stylist, she is incredibly wonderful. Her passion for her work shines through in everything she does. I was quite nervous about getting dreads, but Mimis extensive knowledge and expertise put me at ease. She carefully figured out the best style for my hair, and I was fortunate enough to have her work on it. Not only did she expertly apply extended locks, but she also took the time to show me how to care of my dreads properly. I cannot recommend her enough!Thank you so much Mimi. I love my locs!🙏❤️

    Got my dreadlocks put in by crochet and had it styled for my wedding! Meme is hands down the best loctition I’ve ever been to. So glad I found her, not only is her work the best, she is an amazing human being and I would look forward to spending hours with her! She is very thorough and doesn’t let you leave until the job is done and done to perfection! Forever grateful for her and her service!

    I give my highest recommendation. The location is extremely clean. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Mimi has created a space of great energy for people with any background and hair type. She offers a variety of services at reasonable prices. Mimi goes through everything in detail and is a true professional. She expects and establishes a relationship of respect between her and her clients and puts pride in to her work. It is exemplified in her top quality customer service and results.     A great place. Haven’t been there in years but Meme is a fantastic Loctician and stands by her work. Therefore her prices are justified. She knows her stuff, so don’t misinterpret her knowledge for being condescending. She wants the best for her clients and won’t simply give you what you want if it destroys your hair. With that said, her appointment book is always filled so schedule in advance.Appointments are specific to the services and take place on that day. There is no stacking or last minute adds to an appointment.Rightfully so, appointment deposits and such are paid in advanced.I wish I could get an appointment but she’s too good. I’m probably looking at April or June by now. Jk.

    Professional clean environment, lots of parking, close to I95, great staff. Meme is welcoming, super talented, takes her time and is very thorough. Literally saved my hair that had been butchered at another place. Best spot for dreadlocks around! So glad I found her!

    Let me start out by saying that Meme is a breath of fresh air in the loctician industry. Her energy is so positive that I clicked with her right away. Shes an expert in the field and gives you 100% 1 on 1 service and attention. No noisy gossipy salon vibe which I despise.Ive wanted dreadlocks for years but allowed myself to be influenced by societys stereotypes. Well no more...2020 is a new and special year. I just began my dreadlocks journey and I was extremely lucky to have found Meme to start me out right. I did lots of research over the years and Meme is the best choice. I have fine Caucasian hair and it was a near impossible task to find someone that had the knowledge and experience to create my dreadlocks. Meme created my dreadlocks and they look awesome.     What an amazing experience I had. It was a great service and I had a great time with meme. She explained everything with detail and had different options when it came to dreadlock. I been going now for almost a year now and I plan to continue. If you plan on getting new dreadlocks or any other thing that comes with dreadlocks go see meme and her wonderful staff. Best place in south Florida. Nothing but LOVE.

    The whole two step consultation process is worth it. Went to Meme for dread repairs for locks that were thinning out on the top of the scalp. All I can say is that she DEFINITELY knows what she is doing. Anything dread related is this person who you should be going to. She is very professional and takes her job seriously. Will definitely be going back!

    I came to Meme dreadlocks salon with messy dreads that I had previously had from a friend. Coming here was a life saver, Meme and her helper did a miracle on my dreads, I even added extensions since my hair was fairly short. I love the atmosphere and theyre extremely sweet and attentive, I would recommend this place to anyone with all types of hair texture. I will deffintely be coming back.

    The ONLY place in Miami to come to for your professional dreadlocks/braiding service! I saw them off of an Instagram post where they showed a customer talking about how excellent their service was. So I hit them up on that same Instagram picture asking them if they did box braiding for males not interested in extensions. Within no more than 30 minutes, MeMe, the owner of the salon contacted me back on Instagram telling me positively yes! and that their resident expert, Shantell would be able to take great care of me should I email their customer service line requesting an appointment along with pictures of exactly what style I was looking for.From there and after a secure deposit that locked in my appointment following that week-- everything... and I mean EVERYTHING was smooth-sailing from that point on! Their lovely sense of tact and professionalism assured that the customer would have as little bumps in the road as possible when it came to getting the service I so wanted. Everything from the location of the place, to the time, and day of the appointment as well as the mandatory consultation was taken are of all within the span of just a couple of emails. AllI had to do was show up with the rest of the money, and the salon would handle the rest!As soon as I came in to the salon, Shantell took a brief look at my hair and scalp and rand down a quick assessment of what I was looking for and even braided a sample portion of my hair before we got started to ensure that it was exactly to what I was looking for! Shantell was incredibly knowledgeable about the natural hair process-- certain routines, hairstyles, and products to buy to enhance the experience of dealing with natural hair as well as its maintenance! She even gave me the names of local eateries to look into, due to me being an out-of-towner. Absolutely exceptional service.Meme, the owner is also an absolute sweet-heart. Kind, funny, charming, and so courteous! I felt like I was an inclusive part of their extensive natural hair-care family after interacting with them and leaving their salon. You can trust that with Dreadlocks Meme you will always feel welcomed and taken care of with their exceptional customer service and expertise.     Shontelle HOOKED ME UP!! I’m a mixed guy who’d had dreads put in somewhere else before going here. After two weeks , my locks were falling apart already. Since I’m from out of town I had no clue where to go. After googling this place I decided to give them a chance and I’m VERY glad I did. I’m from New York/New Jersey area and am used to high quality hair establishments and professionalism. The ladies at DREADLOCKS MEME exceeded all my expectations. The process was explained clearly right from the begining , my problems were assessed , explained and offered solutions within 20 minutes of being at my appointment. Shontelle took her time and made sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing , as she worked on my hair, and the results are the proof! From the moment you being your appointment it becomes very clear that you are in hands of professionals. Quality , Care, and Charisma , that’s what they got!! But high quality Locks and a place I can rely on , that’s what I got.

    Please help! I am flying down to FL from NY this weekend, and HAD been corresponding with a loctician in the area - unfortunatly this person has decided to just stop responding to any efforts of communication! She asked me for photos and descriptions and we have been planning since January and she seems to have disappeared! Im hoping to get an appointment for some major dreadlock maintainenece on my 50, less than shoulder length, locks!

    I have not yet gone, not sure if I should. Im kinda new to this whole thing and am in need of major help. Ive always wanted long hair as a child. Its down well past my shoulders now and is becoming really hard to manage( Latin kinky hair). So Ive been thinking of dreading it. Im just really afraid of those surf boy dreads. I dont want that.     Meme👑 is the QUEEN of DREADLOCKINGFirst time meeting Meme👑. July 23, 2015I flew in from West Virginia to haveMeme👑 do a drastic repair on my hair. More like surgery. I wanted my dreads to have a coil look. This African lady from columbus ohio interlocked my dreads causing me to give birth to twins and triplet dreads. I had to pull them apart. My 5 month old dreads went from coils to knots all throughout my dread. Meme👑 paid close attention to ever detail of what I was asking for. She uses the coil technique of enforcing the grown out dread with the new growth by wrapping the dread with the new hair from the root down the dread part that has grown out only* and back up to the root until the new growth is wrapped all the way around the dread. Then she palm rolls the hair. This is truly the correct way to retighten dreads.👑Meme knows about every dreading technique and she ensures she listens to what the client likes and dont like. She ensure my edges was not to tight which is a plus factor. She can style! I will be flying back down in September to have my hair done again. FLORIDA your lucky to have her. And everyone would be a fool to go any where else but to the Queen of Dreads Meme👑
