I recently was a patient of Water’s-edge Dermatology. I phoned them for an appointment but they were unable to see me. Therefore I was able to schedule with Florida Dermatology, I’m glad I was able to see a doctor. Their expertise found areas of cancer and were able to remove them. I’ve had these areas for sometime now and were missed by Water’s-edge on previous visits. The staff are very friendly and caring as are the physicians. They are worth 10 stars! I didn’t feel rushed as I did at Water’s-edge. They took the time to discuss options available to me for treatment.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Krathen for a long time. For multiple reasons, I’m very susceptible to skin cancers. Dr Krathen and his PAs Alyssa Beaudet and the others, are all very professional. Their standard of care is impeccable. They do a great job detecting the cancers and he does a great job removing them. Living in South Florida, you need a dermatologist. Whether you are near Gardens or Stuart, you will not go wrong with Florida Dermatology Associates..

Recommend highly! Very attentive and informative examination....all questions no matter how simple are answered. Physical exam was thorough, complete and not rushed! Front office staff (Kim), very friendly. Actually walked in a week prior to ask if they were a Factory (hated Waters Edge) or individual care. Had an appointment 1 week later. I saw Alyssa, Valeria, Tonia, and Im so sorry I forgot the other assistant name. All were very pleasant and personable. Explained everything in people talk. Waiting room and Office very clean. They actually changed the paper liner while I was getting my things and still in room.I would highly recommend this office. I went to the Military Trail location.

I was trying to find an appointment very last minute in the morning and James went above and beyond to try and schedule me and coordinate with alyssa to get me a last minute appointment. Very friendly and professional Front Desk Staff, Nurses, Physician Assistant and Dr. Krathen himself. Modern, clean offices. Dr. Krathen performed an excision on my back with full explanation and no discomfort on my part. This was my second visit to this office and I have been extremely happy with the services provided and demeanor of all members of the team.

One of the best experience I’ve had at the doctors office. They were very pleasant when I walked in and were able to make an appointment for me that moment. The doctor I saw was very efficient took care of my problem immediately, and I was out of the office in about 20 minutes. Would recommend them to anyone. And will use them again if I need to. I had to go back and have moles surgery on my nose I was concerned There might be a large scar, but there is no sign that I had surgery. He did an excellent job.

Unfortunately, I have been getting Basal & Squamous cell carcinomas for several years. I moved to Florida 3 years ago and found Dr. Krathen through a recommendation. I have had several excisions and Mohs surgeries with him. You are putting a lot of faith in a Doctor who will be stitching your face, chest, arm, ear, neck...Ive had them all. Months later you cant even tell it was done. He is a true professional and I wouldnt think of letting anyone else treat me. I do want to add that his office staff is great to work with! They answer the phone when you call and they run on-time for your appointments. They have my complete trust and I highly recommend seeing him AND wearing sunscreen :)

My visit to Florida Dermatology Specialist with Alyssa M. Beaudet, PA-C, was exceptional. She skillfully and painlessly biopsied a rash on my neck, prescribed what was needed, leading to a quick cure. Alyssa also addressed longstanding foot issues from my military service, providing an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Her clear communication, extensive dermatological knowledge, empathy and special attention to this Veterans health i were truly impressive. I highly recommend her for anyone in need of expert dermatological care.

Efficient and friendly staff front desk and clinical side. Clean pleasant office in Palm Beach Gardens. Dr. Krathen is a Mohs surgeon in addition to dermatologist so I did not have to change provider to have the surgery done when biopsy indicated need for Mohs. I called the office on a weekend to cancel my first appointment due to an emergency and was able to speak to a knowledgeable person within less than a minute who had all of my information. I have been seen in very timely fashion at appointments. Dr. Krathen and his physician assistants and nurses were very personable. Every aspect of my dermatology and surgical care to date has been exemplary. I am a recently retired academic physician who strived to make patients and families feel comfortable and respected and I feel Ive been cared for in that fashion as a patient of this practice.

He is very thorough and diagnosed a very early stage one melanoma for me about 15 years ago. he did a Mohs surgery and i have has no re-occurrences. He has done Mohs for me several times for basil and squamous cell carcinoma. He and his staff are very professional and I recommend them to anyone in needing a dermatologist.I agree with my husbands comments. Dr. Krathen is an excellent physician.

The ladies in the office are kind and friendly and efficient. The office is bright and cheery. Dr Krathen was thorough and nice.
