    I just moved to the area and needed a new stylist I am so happy I found Gabby! Not only was she the best to talk to, she educated me on my hair and the process along the way, I love my hair she did a great job šŸ’ž The salon is beautiful and bright and everyone was so sweet I will be back to see Gabby!

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I was very skeptical because I dont trust many salons with my hair since Ive had many experiences with stylists telling me they have experience then leaving my hair looking like a giant frizzy mess or telling me to follow an impossible to maintain in order to upkeep my hair.When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff who offered beverages and asked if there was anything I needed. They were so lovely.My stylist Jennifer was absolutely AMAZING. She was inquisitive because she wanted to make sure we were on the same page so I would have the results Im looking for and she was so receptive to my wants and dislikes. I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted (I only wanted a cut) and she completely understood. She was just so incredible, her attentiveness, the way she explained every single step in the process and even used science with supporting facts. She also explained and demonstrated how to practically care for my hair and style it on a day to day basis to achieve the look I want and overall hair health. ALSO she informed me about curl types, and so much more. I literally am so excited to go back, worth every single penny. LOVE this place!!!P.S.They did not push me to buy any of the products they used. My stylist Jennifer simply mentioned that they were available if I was interested and that was that, I really appreciated that. I did buy the Ouidad gel, its pricy as a brand but good.

    I have a curly haired daughter and have been struggling on what to do and use for her hair. Jackie was amazing and took her time to explain everything to me during the cut and style. My daughters curls looked SO good at the end of the appointment - we are so thrilled and will be back!

    I love Salon San Carlos and every team member there! From my online booking/profile experience to reception to cutting+styling I feel so taken care of and appreciated as a client. Jacki is the best hair artist and only crafts masterpieces! I wouldnā€™t trust anyone else with my hair or this specific cut. I leave the salon looking and feeling great!     On Saturday, November 9, 2024, my daughter and I visited the salon to get our hair done for my daughterā€™s beach wedding. It was a wonderful experience! Alma and Katey did such a great job for us. Our hair turned out so nice. We both were concerned about our hair not holding up because it was extremely windy but that was not the case at all! Despite the heavy winds on the beach and a night of dancing, our hair was as lovely as when we left the salon. Alma and Katey listened to what we wanted and were so anxious to please. We both got so many compliments on our hair. I highly recommend this salon!! A special thank you to Alma & Katey for taking such good care of us on such an important day, my daughterā€™s wedding!!

    Rachel is my stylist and does an amazing job. She is very nice and always asks if you are comfortable. She knew what to do with my hair when I asked her for ideas. The interior of this place is very cozy and well designed and very modern. I highly recommend this salon. The other employees and owners are also very nice people. I see no negatives with this place currently.

    Iā€™ve been coming to Salon San Carlos for well over 10 years and itā€™s always a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. I walk out feeling so confident and they ALWAYS bring my curls back to life. I have seen Jackie for most of my visits, but today saw Jennifer for a curl cut and Iā€™ve also seen Austin one other time in the past. Every experience has been wonderful and just reassures my trust in every individual in this salon! If youā€™re a curly girl trying to find somewhere that knows curls and how to care for them, just know this is 100% worth the investment. And I commend this salon for always staying with best practices and continuing their education, but also teaching us how to take care of our hair as well!!

    Update: Im a little late posting, but Jen did my color about 1 week ago. She did a fantastic job! It is perfectly blended and natural looking. I am impressed by this salon, and with Jen!I just had my very first curly haircut from Jen today, and I love it! Jen was very friendly and informative. She gave me really good tips on styling my curly hair naturally and did a phenomenal job on the cut and style. I will be going back in a few weeks to get my hair colored and am very excited for what we have planned! Ill update once I get it colored.

    I absolutely loved getting my haircut here! My hair was cut, shampoo and conditioned, scalp massaged, and blown dried in a blow out fashion. It was my first time and everyone was so welcoming and friendly upon entering the building. A beverage was offered to me and the lady at the front desk kindly made me a coffee. The atmosphere was relaxing with good music. My stylist was Kayleigh and she nailed the vision I had for my new cut! She was very personable, made me feel comfortable, was a great listener and conversationalist. I really enjoyed my visit and I will definitely be coming back!

    Kim did the most perfect cut and color! I had a wedding shower to attend later in the week and my hair was absolutely perfect. I had several compliments from the girls. The services and scalp massage were so rejuvenating and relaxing. My hair was so shiny and richly colored. Adorable hair cut too. Highly recommend her services!

    Finding Salon San Carlos was a breath of fresh air. I tried a few different Pensacola salons before coming here, and nothing compares to the lovely welcome that this place offers: a warm hello upon entering, a generous selection of refreshments while you wait, and finally, the staff. Iā€™ve been with Kim for every single service Iā€™ve had here, and she outdoes herself every single time. She makes a considerate effort to get to know her clients, and remembers not just who they are, but the character of their hair as well. She has a special talent for understanding texture, color, length, and layers, and her artistry is evident in the photo below!! My hair is REVIVED with each appointment I make with Kim. With her, getting my haircut is never a chore; it is a pleasure and a little retreat. I highly recommend not just Salon San Carlos, but Kim especially.

    Iā€™m so happy I found Salon San Carlos and Jaclyn. This sunny, cheerful salon greets you with drinks and snacks before they get down to business. I had high and low lights added and got a cut. My highlights came out soft, natural and really well blended. Jaclyn took the time to get to know me, and to familiarize herself with my hair. I was very nervous to switch salons (I moved from the Midwest) but now Iā€™ve found a new hair home!

    First time trying this salon and my expectations were exceeded by far. Kim was my stylist and she was absolutely amazing. Not only did she give me the best wash and blow dry of my life. She went in detail, for every step, how to properly apply each product and the best care for my hair. Kim was amazing and will hopefully be returning to her!! 10/10

    Rachel R. Was the hairstylist for my sister, my mom and my hair this year. We all recently got all our hair darkened from being balayage blond. She did a beautiful job on all 3 of us.     A beautiful salon, great customer service, and high quality products and cuts! They know what they are doing here. Savannah is my girl! I get a long bob with layers and love how she does it! The blowout stays all day too. Definitely recommend San Carlos to anyone!

    So happy and excited to say my first visit will definitely not be my last! The salon is beautifully well kept and the receptionist was very welcoming. KATEY is amazing!! She was so fun and friendly to talk with about all my hair and scalp health needs. Even without reference pictures, Katey did an amazing job styling a haircut that fit perfectly for me!

    I do not splurge on my hair very often, but decided to finally get a maintenance cut before I start a new job! I had had a few friends go to this salon in the past, so I decided to book as well. I was pleased that I was offered water while waiting (Yaā€™ll know this Florida heat is not joke), and even though I was super early for my appointment, Savannah called me back right away. She is very sweet and easy to talk to. She made my hair feel healthy again! I would definitely recommend Savannah and this entire salon in general!

    I just had my fourth cut and style with Jacki. She is literally the curl wizard! Every appointment she works her magic and takes my lifeless waves into beautiful bouncy curls!     Jennifer Brown has been doing my hair for over a year now! Iā€™ve had bad experiences with previous hairdressers from different facilities and working with Jen has been a joy and an amazing experience. She built a great relationship with me and always listened to what I wanted and she is always very honest with me when it came to requests. Sheā€™s always given me her 1000% and it shows in how my hair turns out. My hair always turns out amazing when I come see her!

    Iā€™ve been going to Salon San Carlos for almost 2 years now and wouldnā€™t go anywhere else!Everyone working there is so kind and welcoming. Iā€™m not super aware of beauty trends and never know what I want, but Jaclyn always knows whatā€™s best for me and my hair. She even asked me for photos of my wedding hair inspo at my closest color to the day so she could make sure itā€™d go well in the updo. When I decided to chop my hair, it was in part because I trust her so much! Had to post the pony we chopped because the color in it is just so good šŸ„².Every time I go, Iā€™m amazed at how good everyoneā€™s hair looks as they leave and how talented all of the stylists are.

    Had my first ever curly cut with Jacki, and she was phenomenal! She is so knowledgeable and educated me on each step of styling my hair. She suggested products to use, as well as those that I should steer clear of so they donā€™t weigh my hair down, and answered all my questions. I think Iā€™m still in shock by how good my hair looks after she styled it. Definitely recommend her if youā€™re looking for help with your wavy/curly hair.

    I booked my haircut with Marie. She was truly amazing! The best haircut that Iā€™ve ever gotten. She even styled my hair afterwards. She was super friendly and I will definitely be going back to see her again. The staff are super nice and make sure that you feel comfortable and pampered.     I came to San Carlos to get my hair dyed for the first time ever. Aspen was my stylist and she took amazing care of me and helped me feel very comfortable in a situation that felt very awkward for me. She helped me look younger and feel more confident. Iā€™m already booked to come and see her again. She also helped me pick out some product for my hair that I ended up being very pleased with. Very grateful to have had Aspen help me so much.

    Summer selfie contest! Kim is phenomenal! She did a partial balayage and got me on the right products for my hair. It has become so much more healthy over the last year because of her. We went to Columbia in August for a wedding and even in that crazy humid and hot weather my hair looked great! Granted, it looks better when Kim styles it but I was happy with it since she wasnā€™t in Columbia to do her magic: )

    GABBY! She was awesome I am very impressed ! I have loose curly hair and wanted to cut the split ends and add in some layers. We did a pre treatment for some hair color which was amazing and she gave me a beautiful cut with beautiful layers I am so happy ! Iā€™ll be back in a week for the Malibu makeover and then 2 weeks after for highlights ! I definitely recommend her if you have curly hair.

    This is by far the best experience I have ever had at a salon. I have been treated like a goddess by Kim. She listened and even was able to determine what I wanted when I struggled to put it into words. Kim has done wonderful highlights, taught me how to actually take care of my hair, and done haircuts that have elevated me and my confidence. Cannot thank her or recommend her and the salon enough!     I havenā€™t had my hair colored in years and it has got darker in the past few years. I really wanted some blonde to lighten it up and get a shorter, fresh haircut. Aspen did an AMAZING job coloring, cutting and styling my hair. The amount of blonde was exactly what I wanted. The haircut and style made my hair look fuller and thicker. Aspen is incredibly talented and really puts her time into her work. I highly recommend her!!

    When I first moved to Florida back in 2015, I went to quite a few salons trying to find someone who I like and didnt mess up my hair! Its was about impossible šŸ¤£ But I found Salon San Carlos and I was placed with Jaclyn and she was amazing! I have now been going to her for years for haircuts and amazing color updates and just recently brought my mom to Kim and she loved her as well! I will definitely never go anywhere else. The price is a little above my liking sometimes but its worth it because the employees here are very skilled and do a very professional job! I love coloring my hair, so its very easy for someone to ruin your hair with over doing color or cheap dyes, but I always have amazing results here!!

    Been here twice and had great and quick service each time! My stylist has been Katey and shes very knowledgeable and knows what shes doing. Great conversationalist but also will let you relax if youre more comfortable with not talking during the cut + style. None of the staff were pushy on products: they informed what they recommend for use, what they were using, and why. Did make some small product purchases both times to try things out for daily styling. All the staff are very courteous and the salon has a relaxed modern vibe, so it feels fresh and trendy but comfortable. Would recommend for anybody that wants the full salon service experience of feeling well cared for / pampered with expert staff who can consult on your specific needs.

    Iā€™ve been seeing Katey Klusmann for a few years and I love the time and attention she gives me and my hair. The salon staff are all very friendly, offering snacks or beverages while Iā€™m there. And I LOVE how this salon is Green Certified-they donā€™t use products containing harmful chemicals, ā€˜the dirty dozenā€™, and that they recycle. Continuing education and keeping up with the latest and greatest is very important to the stylists there and that says a lot to me!     Love this place. Hollyns cuts never fail. She styles it with a little product and a blow dry, but the cut can be styled any way I like. In the summer a quick shampoo, a little paste and a towel rub is all I need for this fun look. If youre like me, 62 and always up for new and fun looks but have a hard time finding a stylist that doesnt put you in an old lady category, then Son San Carlos and Hollyn are your spot.UPDATED LOOK at 63: I talked with Hollyn about what I wanted and she nailed it again. Everyone was super friendly, it was a very relaxed environment, they offered snacks and drinks before/ during your service (will definitely opt into the coffee next time), and most importantly my hair came out exactly how I wanted it. Ive been growing it out and staying away from heat styling for over a year so I was anxious about getting my curls cut, but Elizabeth did such an amazing job I wish I could give her more than 5 stars.     So absolutely amazing this place!!! Let me tell you! Its beautiful, inviting, friendly and most importantly passionate and skilled stylists!!!!! Im Hispanic and Irish. All you curly hair people can relate about being weary when coming to a new stylist. One too many times have we walked out of a place after someone just made so many if not all the curly hair mistakes. Jen did my hair. Not only was she so comfortably natural about curly hair and its needs. She educated me on it. I came in with questions to ask as I wanted to know what more I could do to keep it healthy.     Fabulous new look! Full babylight and color with Liz. I was really in need for a lighter look to correct a job done by a different salon.     I cannot say enough good things! I have fine wavy/curly hair. I have been to many ā€œcurl specialistsā€ in the past who had absolutely no idea what to do with my hair texture. This is the first time someone has understood my hair and Iā€™ve left a salon with a style that enhanced my natural texture and that I didnā€™t have to go home and fix. My color looks fantastic and my cut is great. 10/10. Elizabeth is fantastic.

    Everyone at this salon is always friendly, helpful and competent, but Kim Keller absolutely blew me away yesterday and today! Absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced balayage and haircut from a clearly knowledgeable stylist who explained her process and how to take care of my hair in the months before I see her again. Cant recommend them enough!

    Loved!!! I had a more than pleasant experience at Salon San Carlos. I did my initial consultation with Kimberly and she was so patient listening to every little thing iā€™ve done to my hair in the past and gave me more than one option on how to repair the damage iā€™ve done. I was able to come in super excited for my appointment and super confident in Kimā€™s ability to deliver great results. She was super kind and explained every step she did and highlighted why using the proper products were important, especially for my curly hair. We had great conversation and overall I enjoyed my time at the salon. I was nervous to go into any salon, because it had been about 12 years since my last professional cut, but everyone was super welcoming, the place was clean, and theyā€™re a GREEN salon!!

    Katey is wonderful. As far as curls go, sheā€™s the curl whisperer. My hair was completely dried, frizzed, and stressed. She laid hands on this mop and turned it into cohesive, sleek, frizz free curls and spirals. Will continue to use her services again and again. Thanks Katey!

    Love this salon! There is talent behind every chair. I have been coming here for years, and have had multiple stylists. Consistently fantastic service every time. The family who owns the business seems truly wonderful.I get the impression that they have a rigorous practice of continuing education for their stylists. They also have a recycling/waste disposal program that is greener than some traditional salons. Great local business.

    Ive gotten two hair cuts on my curly hair done at Salon San Carlos. The first time was in 2020 with a stylist who no longer works there, and that hair cut experience was very enjoyable. The second time was October 2022, when I got a curly cut with Nick. The hair cut with Nick was the best hair cut experience Ive ever had. Nick took his time with the whole process- detangling, washing, cutting, and styling. He is very knowledgeable in his field and taught me so much during my hair cut with him. And the conversation stayed flowing, which was nice (no awkward silences!). If I wasnt moving out of the area, I would 100% get my hair cut here again!

    Iā€™ve been coming to this salon for several years, I see Jackie or Pam for the Rizzo cut (a type of curly cut) and occasionally have had color done. They are hard to get into (because they really are one of the best salons in Pensacola). Unfortunately that can be difficult for people with irregular schedules (Iā€™m an ER veterinarian and exotics specialist consultant, my schedule changes weekly, and I only get 1mo of schedule at a time), I was close to the point of trying to find another salon because of the scheduling issues given my work schedule but Pam is was in the salon on her day off and offered to cut my hair even though she isnā€™t working. They really do a good job with their customer service which is greatly appreciated!

    My first experience with Salon San Carlos was exceptional! I saw Kim and will be back to see her again. She is extremely knowledgeable and let me know what she was doing every step of the way. Kim educated me on products and ways to fix my hair in the mornings that wouldnā€™t take up much time. She gave me the cutest short, choppy cut and listened to exactly what I wanted and didnā€™t want for my hair. I highly recommend this salon and this stylist!!

    Kristen cut and styled my hair for me and she was WONDERFUL! I have naturally curly hair and have never been able to get the cut exactly how I want it(cutting and dealing with curly hair can be difficult)but she cut it perfectly!! Im very happy with the results. Best cut ever! I also had a problem with my curls getting looser and she was able to bring them back! The business itself is really clean and well organized and the other employees were just as welcoming and friendly as Kristen! I go back in a couple of weeks to get a full Balayage by her and cant wait! Thank you all for such a pleasant experience!

    Curly haired girls - 10/10 would recommend! I love my hair, Kim was wonderful from the consultation to the final product. I have ridiculously naturally dark hair (with old box dye in it too) but she was able to lift it without my hair turning to spaghetti. Kim also gave me my first real curly cut. Iā€™ll definitely be back to go lighter all around. Atmosphere was great and super clean and has all precautions in place.

    I can not express how thankful I am to have found such a wonderful stylist. I havenā€™t been to a hairstylist in forever and I had been trying to transition my hair from a relaxer to my natural curls and my hair looked like a big ole birds nest. Alexa took her time with me and gave me a great cut. She explained every step of the way, gave me tips on how to achieve the style at home and what products to use. She went over and beyond what any stylist has ever done for me. I cannot thank her enough.The salon itself is very clean, very professional, and everyone there was very friendly.     Ive been to this salon 3 times for the time I lived in Pensacola. If I still lived there I would definitely be coming here all the time. I found out about this salon because of their excellent reviews and they definitely hold up to their reviews! They are extremely professional. Its a nice atmosphere to be in. The stylist are very kind, professional, very knowledgeable on what they are doing, and easy to chit chat with when youre sitting in a chair for hours. I had Austin the first time I got my hair done, and then I had Jackie the last 2 times. All times for balayage. None of the times ever disappointed me. If you want someone to do your hair right and professionally, I highly recommend this place.

    Salon San Carlos is amazing!! I have gone to Erica multiple times and she has been incredible! She has been able to cut my hair exactly how I imaged it! Iā€™ve also been having trouble with styling my hair and she goes above and beyond to help me with different tips on how to style my hair... I mean amazing customer service! If youā€™re looking for a great salon.. I would 10/10 recommend Salon San Carlos! Theyā€™re not only great at what they do but they are so friendly and have such an inviting atmosphere!     Liz managed to remove a lot of copper/brass tones from my previously brown-auburn hair color and add in so much blended yet dimensional sunkissed color with balayage.     Ive been going to Katey for over a year and I have never ever been disappointed with the results. They are always fabulous! I like to change things up every now and then and she patiently listens to my vision and provides solid feedback and suggestions for what we can do. I absolutely recommend Katey if youve never been to Salon San Carlos or are not pleased with the results your current stylist provides. She is top notch!Update: Recent appointment again with Katey. The salon goes above and beyond with COVID protocols which I appreciated. Told Katey I wanted a different look and once again she came through with an easy to care for and style cut.     Incredible experience!! Ive never been to a salon that had curl experts before and I was so amazed at the amount of information that my stylist, Katey, had in regards to my hair and my concerns. I left feeling so refreshed and Ive never seen my curls in that shape before.     Best cut Ive had in 8 years and worth every penny! From the minute I walked in, the people here were professional and very friendly.
