From the moment you enter James Griffith Salon you are greeted by lovely, smiling and helpful people. I have been exceedingly fortunate to be a client of Michelle, first in Venice and now at Clark Road for the last 21 years! Awesome cuts and brilliant coloring skills!! Michelle trains the girls and guys and they are all wonderful. Watch the clients leaving the shop and all you can say is “Wow”!!!

My stylist is Stephanie and she is absolutely fantastic. She cuts my hair exactly how I like it, is very knowledgeable, personable, and knows what she is doing. The salon is clean and professional. I cant recommend it, and Stephanie, enough! You wont be disappointed.

I called in the morning and got a same day appointment for 4pm with Whitney. Whitney was absolutely fantastic! She did an awesome job capturing my vision for my haircut and was extremely friendly and personable! Thrilled to say I have officially found my forever stylist with Whitney! Looking forward to my next appointment.

I made a last minute haircut appointment with Jena. This was my first time at JGS Sarasota. Jena did a wonderful job, exceeding what I asked for in a haircut and she gave me a great blowout. I have thick curly hair so I am sometimes unhappy with my blowouts, but she did an amazing job. Jena was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back for routine haircuts and blowouts!

Met Stephanie where I work one night and I knew right away she was a hairdresser. Her hair was perfect! Booked an appointment the next week and I had no idea what I was in for. Sam was her assistant and she shampooed me. This was the best shampoo experience Ive ever had. Full on head massage! I sat down with Stephanie for a simple cut and blow out and was blown away! Many compliments on my hair! Ill be back for sure!!

WOW, Thank you Cody for saving my daughters hair. Saturday we went to a different salon and paid $300 to have her hair look like a Galaxy with Black, Blue and Purple. It was a disaster. Cody is a Master at his work and I will continue to trust his talent. Another shout out-He was fully booked and stayed after hours to do her hair so she can get school pictures done next week. I appreciate his work and recommend to anyone wanting vivid colors to go see CODY

I just moved here and was apprehensive starting with a new stylist/salon after leaving my stylist of 16 years. My neighbor recommended Michelle at James Griffith Salon and Im glad she did. From the moment I walked in the door, I was at ease. All staff were professional, courteous and clearly focused on the customer. Michelle was easy to talk with and made me feel very comfortable about her knowledge and understanding of my needs. She was professional and did a great job with my color and cut. Her apprentice, Cody, was also a pleasure to get to know and I look forward to my next appointment with them!

What a great experience I had today! It seems like every time I go to a salon, my hair gets butchered and looks horrible. I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt this good about my hair! I feel like me again and it’s been forever since I have. Thank you so much Cody for taking the time to make my hair beautiful! You did an amazing job and you were so easy to talk to and trust! Corey is a wonderful stylist who is exceptionally great with long hair. Both of my daughters adore her and would go back to only her forever if they could. Unfortunately, we moved so not possible, but I have to recommend highly. Staff is super nice at this salon too.

I moved to SRQ 3 years ago & have been disappointed with the stylists that were recommended to me. I travel frequently, and I live on both coasts. I want a stylist here who can work with my hair (very curly & unduly), & understand my lifestyle (athletic & living on the beach), & keep my look consistent. I have high standards, & I like a stylist who is punctual, precise, & neat. Katie not only did a fabulous job making me feel & look fabulous, she was very kind to me as I recently had surgery & am a bit compromised. So thankful for a great referral.

Cory is my stylist and fabulous colorist. She turned my hair from light brown to dark chocolate cherry a year and a half ago and I haven’t looked back. She does a fantastic job maintaining my color as well as listening to what I want as far as my cut. The salon is doing the hair and makeup for my wedding party next week. Highly recommend to friends moving to the area.

I originally came to this salon simply because it was close to my home, and I was assigned Corey as my stylist. Corey listened carefully to exactly how I wanted my hair done and has always done an amazing job this past year. Recently I decided to go platinum blonde, and she once again did a superb job. The salon is clean, professional and the staff are always friendly. I highly recommend.

My hair is past the seat when I sit down, not only did your salon schedule me with the right amount of time, and people to deal with all my hair, I left feeling the most beautiful I have felt in over 10 years. Have always had good experiences here. Which is hard to find believe it or not being in a city the size of Sarasota. But I do get many high & low lights done at the same time. So out of everywhere I’ve tried in Sarasota this has been the best & most consistent results. It might be because it’s all open & if a stylist needs help or isn’t sure what to do they can always get another stylists advice🤷🏼‍♂️ That’s just my guess, I can’t imagine 25 or more stylists working in one place allowing anyone’s client to walk out with their hair not looking good? I’d hope they’d help that stylist out & tell them what might look better & they all seem to be quite friendly among each other. Of course they’re great to us, the clients. So yes, I’d feel comfortable recommending this salon to anyone, men, women & children. Great atmosphere as well. You have a great salon!!

My stylist Stephanie is VERY consistent and always leads me in the right path!I love the salon but mostly I like the James Griffith organization. They gladly gave me a credit for a perm that didn’t take(my hair is soo stubborn!) no questions asked. They’ve got my hair forever!!

First off, I came here immediately after going somewhere else having my bangs cut because what they did was a massive mess. After my appointment elsewhere, I went to Sally beauty and was ready to attempt cutting my hair myself, the girls there were like No, go to James Griffith Salon and see if they can fix it. I did just that. I walked into the salon ready to cry with how bad my hair was cut. That is when Cori looked at my bangs and let me know what she could do to fix them. I cant thank you enough Cori!! I am thrilled that you were able to fix my hair and make it look how it was supposed to and I feel like a million bucks now. I highly recommend this salon and am so happy I found them and now my new stylist Cori! Thank you again so much!

This is one of only two places I trust to do my hair in all of North America. The other one is in Montreal. I have been going to Vanessa since 2012. Shes amazing. Always gets the color right. Changes the cut every time, but it always looks great.

I recently decided that I wanted a different hair style. Although I have been going to the same hair stylist for 5 years, I believe that if you want a change then you need to change your stylist. So I made an appointment at the James Griffin salon in Sarasota. I can honestly say that I have never received a bad haircut at any place I have gone to. When Vanessa started to cut my hair with a razor instead of scissors, I almost went into panic mode. Would this be my first bad hair cut?I only have 3 words to say about my new hair color and cut.
