Had an excellent experience with Philip. I had to do a little research with my Turkish hairdresser for 20 years in Maryland.After going to two different people here in Sarasota I knew I needed something more. He led me to Phillip and I couldn’t be happier.He had to spend a lot of time repairing my hair. I couldn’t believe the before and after pictures. Not only are the style and highlights amazing, my hair is so much healthier. He also advised me on some conditioning to do at least weekly to keep it healthy.I will definitely be returning for regular hair appointments.

My husband and I both go here. Phillip has been wonderful every time. He listens, he is accommodating, and he always does a great job. We have been going for almost 3 years. Everybody at the salon has always been very kind and friendly. We highly recommend Suna salon. A funny coincidence was when I found out one of my friends goes there as well. Suna Salon was the first and only salon in Sarasota she visited. She was extremely happy from the first visit and had no need to look any further.

Absolutely love Philip, he does an amazing job on my hair!I can’t say enough good about this SALON. Philips technique is amazing.I keep my hair in an edgier pixie cut, and His attention to detail is impeccable!! Thank you Philip for a job well done every time. ❤️❤️❤️

I have been getting my hair colored by Phillip for the last 6 years and also have had waxing services provided by Suna. I love the shop and love the services provided. Phillip is an excellent stylist and colorist and always makes sure I am happy with the results. I highly recommend him! Suna is wonderful as well and I’m sorry that she retired as I miss her dearly.

I moved to Sarasota in February. I found Suna Salon & Spa and it was a God sent. Everyone knowns how hard it is to find a great stylist for African American hair. Philip is very knowledgeable of many type of hair.

She is very quick and thorough, which I appreciate immensely! The salon is clean and inviting and the Suna team is very friendly and always able to get me in for a wax on the date and time that I request! I couldnt recommend Suna Salon enough! I was visiting Sarasota Florida and was in need of a cut and color. I had read the reviews for Suna and was impressed with what I read. I stopped in and spoke with Suna, very sweet woman. And she was able to schedule a hair appointment that day! Philip Kaplan was my stylist. He did an amazing job! He took his time to color match my hair, very meticulous and precise in getting the perfect haircut. My hair was washed out due to the sun and salt water. He brought my hair back to life!!!

Deanna is an absolute pleasure and a true professional. I am always excited for each haircut and the fabulous experience. Shes gives me these amazing head massages during shampoos. Suna Salon is an absolutely beautiful salon and has an amazing staff!

I have been coming down to Sarasota for the past 3 years and have had a few terrible experiences with stylists but not this time! Phillip did a great job color matching my roots and gave me a fantastic cut. He was very professional and the cost for my experience was very reasonable! I will be back next year. I have tried Suna a few times now for my back waxing needs and I must say the overall experience is excellent! They use the sugar waxing technique, which is so much better then the regular wax and strips method, since you dont have to wait for each strip to be applied. I have found that an experienced person can complete a back waxing in minutes, which helps with the overall experience and discomfort. Suna is very quick and does her best to make you feel comfortable. The salon is very nice and the waxing room is clean and comfortable. I have tried a few different people in Sarasota and Suna has been the best. Give her a try, it will be a hair raising experience!

BEST eyebrow threading. I will only get my eyebrows done by Suna- even when I have lived out of state, I have made a point of coming to this salon on my Florida visits. I have been getting my eyebrows done here for 6 years. Suna shapes eyebrows perfectly for your face.Suna is both warm and kind. Her work is top notch. Highly, highly recommend!

Booked my very first sugar wax today with Suna. It was amazing. Sugar wax is all natural. Just sugar and lemon. The treatment itself is waw quicker than strip waxing and less painful. Suna was professional, sweet and made me feel comfortable. I was out in 15 minutes for underarm and bikini wax. Not a bad deal. Definitely found my new waxing spa. Will be back next month. Suna is amazing! I am very particular about my eyebrows, they are a lot to manage and they can be done wrong, very wrong. Suna makes them perfect! She is the only threading place in town (besides the mall). I will never go anywhere else for my eyebrows!

This salon uses the best wax I have ever been waxed with! It doesnt leave you sore, swollen, or bleeding (as some other salons have). This is the ONLY place I will be waxed from now on. The staff is very friendly and will do whatever they can to accommodate you. I absolutely recommend this place!Theres also a parking garage basically across the street from the salon, so no worries about having to park far away and walking :)

I had been looking for a place that did both threading and waxing for the past two years. Looking thru Google reviews I found Sunas Salon. I had my face threaded by Suna, she is very fast and it was was with the least amount of pain. I went back for a waxing and experienced Sunas special wax, no burning. It was awesome! Strongly recommend and will be back for continued maintenance.

Had a wax here and it was one of the most quick and painless Ive ever had. They use sugar paste instead of wax, so its much gentler (And you will never get burned by too-hot wax!). Would really recommend.
