You know you in bougie town when you stumble upon a perfume for your dog ( check pic below). Yes!!! You read that right. In the heart of Sarasota is Ulta with well stocked shelves, thanksgiving day sales, luxury and drugstore cosmetics, skincare, hair care and perfumes. Now remember those 5 for 5 deals… well they’re gone, it’s now 5 for $10, I usually pick those up for the tweens in my family. They make amazing stocking stuffers, as well as cute gifts for my nieces school friends. This store had a packed staff, eager to assist. I am so glad they are carrying brands such as, NARS and Charlotte Tilbury… yes darlings… LOL.

Cody was very helpful and knowledgeable about hair care. Answered all our questions and gave recommendations and tips. The rest of the staff was friendly, as well. Even though there was a line at checkout, it seemed to go by quickly. The store was very clean and sections were well marked.

I had just got my hair done at this Ulta and it was the best experience I have ever had. I got my hair done by Jurate and she is absolutely incredible at what she does. I came in with long boring hair and she turned it into something like I have never seen before. I felt totally different when I walked out. Total glow up! Not only was she the sweetest but all the employees were amazing. I had also got my brows done by Camila and she lovely as well. Overall it was the best haircut I could of asked for. If you are thinking about getting a haircut definitely go to the Ulta by the UTC Mall.

Jennifer P. Hair stylist/colorist is exceptional!!!! I fear the hair dresser and she not only put me at ease, but did a really fantastic job on my hair. She knew my part without me explaining it. She also took her time and gave me her undivided attention. I can tell she loves what she does and she also has great hair! I highly recommend her if you want to be happy with your hair and experience. I’m lucky I found her! ❤️

Went to the brow bar and Sadie did a fantastic job. I went from sloppy uneven brows to perfect. This girl knows what she is doing! And she is sweet and nice.Don’t be afraid , she did a consultation first then we decided on the best method for making my brows look niceThis was my first time and I will be back!

Ive been having random boils on my chin since I was a teen and could never find a solution that would give me a sense of relief from the pain, but also fix the problem. I just had a dermatology appointment the day before and left feeling extremely unheard. I wont lie, Ulta was my last resort next to an esthetician. My expectations were low given my history with acne products. Dijon (I hope I am spelling her name right) approached me and asked if I needed help finding anything. She got me to open up and feel a bit more comfortable expressing my acne concerns the more we chatted. Dijon went above and beyond recommending me a skincare line for stressed skin (Skyn Iceland, my new holy grail), testing it out on me in person in the store, and explaining even the finest of details about every product and how to use it to me. I trusted her expert skills so much that I shockingly found myself buying all four products after our interaction. Its been a couple weeks to nearly a month now since our interaction and my skin has cleared up so nicely that I could honestly cry. I actually dropped my dermatologist due to it all! Dijon, if you see this, I owe my confidence all to you!! Thank you for improving my life and my skin. I feel so much better now and will have to come back for a restock of the products when I run out. Thank you so much again!

Erika is the best hair stylist I’ve ever had!!!! in Sarasota and other states I’ve lived in. She is so knowledgeable and kind .love our conversations and she always ask about my day and or week. She is so knowledgeable that she actually corrected a bad hair cut and dye job from a prior stylist.Thank you for your time and service and always making sure everything is perfect.Also, Ericka and Sadie are amazing brow artist as well!I never knew till about last year that Ulta had the best stylist in Sarasota n my opinion.Everyone is so helpful and I have used many salons in the past and happy I found my happy place at Ulta!They hank you Ericka-Hair stylist, Ericka- Brow Stylist and Sadie- Brow Stylist, for you amazing service.

There wasnt anyone on the floor to help anyone. I was looking for help and I heard others asking for help. I found the manager and was like hi I have a question, she stood up and started walking away then said excuse me and she couldnt stop doing what she was doing to even help me but gave me a quick answer and carried on.She was called up about a oupon and said I had to use it online. Offered no other coupon and Im pretty sure ulta has some kind of coupon. I tried using the 3.50 off one and I wasnt allowed to use it off of Clinique... I thought that was a lil weird but oh well. The cashier was nice.I feel like the manager could have been a lil more helpful or just stop for one second to answer a question.

I walked in feeling embarrassed by my lack of skin care and make up knowledge but with specific concerns and questions. I was treated with patience and kindness during the entire visit. Maryann made sure that she understood my needs and goals, then thoroughly explained the products that she recommended. She answered all of my questions and did not make me feel pressured to purchase extra or anything that I wasnt sure about. She went above and beyond to teach me some basic techniques that will help me in the future. She did not rush me as I practiced and made sure I was comfortable with the new skill.

One thing I would suggest, is when people are lining up to pay, maybe you make 1 line and have the cashiers go in order so its fair. Other than that, I have no issues. Overall, a great experience.

I came to Ulta for a MUCH needed hair cut. Ive experienced a lot hair loss in the last couple years. So with that, plus needing it cleaned up and looking healthy I made an appointment there, trusting theyd take care of me. I made one with a girl on the phone first thing that morning when they first opened for a cut with Cara. I got there early but by the time they were ready for my appt, there wasnt apparently not enough time to do it because she had another client coming too soon. I had gotten a ride there, could not wait an hour until after the other client. etc... I was pretty upset and unsure what to do but I was not leaving with a we cant help you since I had an appt and I was early to it. Luckily my AMAZING hairstylist, Cara, was so sweet and called her next person and they were fine being pushed back! Everything always works as it should. Cara did a wonderful job! I feel like a new person! She was so nice, great to talk to, and made me feel like a new me by treating me and my hair so well! 💁🏽‍♀️ Thank you so much for everything to Cara for a great experience, and making sure that whoevers mistake it was, you still were able to fit me in 💗! I love Ulta in general, the only thing that can get annoying is how many sales people there are on the floor sometimes. But got pretty much whatever you need.

A visit to Ulta beauty is always a day brightener. Sometimes I am popping into grab something specific, but more often its just to wander in something akin to a candy store. We had a delightful visit at this Ulta location last weekend. As always, sales people on the floor were very friendly and willing to give their time and answer questions about all sorts of products. We found a skincare kit my daughter was specifically looking for and a face scrub for me. Oh, and their clearance shelf got us a couple of goodies for very little extra money. The cashiers are likewise very friendly and positive.

I have been to better Ultas where the staff is not so stuck up. As a member who is Diamond status, I am pretty upset with some of the nasty looks I get going into this Ulta. Maybe it was how dressed down I was or my ethnicity, either way completely uncalled for and not a means to give dirty looks. As a customer who is not causing ANY trouble at all and who is obviously a frequent Ulta shopper, I would think they would give more respect to their customers. There are maybe 2 people here who seem like they are actually genuinely kind and helpful. Three stars for keeping the place clean and that is it.Edit 1/11/19: Went into here recently and the staff has changed a little! Service was much better and I was thanked for being a diamond member and treated much better.

There is absolutely everything that you could possibly want, in the beauty industry, here. Most of the sales associates are helpful and polite. I didnt have the greatest experience in the salon, but part of the issue was that I was trying to do a color correction, so I cant put that all on them. I am a perks member, which means that I have to spend a certain amount of money each year, and in return I get discounts and coupons. ULTA is pricey, so its really easy to become a perks member. I do love this store, pricey or not!

In this case, I was just doing a map search for the location of this store and I couldnt help but see the beginning of the post before mine. I wanted to call the store to ask if they carried an item, but after reading that review prepared myself for a frustrating/unpleasant phone encounter with the staff. I was SO WRONG to do this. I called-- at 7pm on a Friday evening 11 days before Christmas-- and asked Jessica, the lady who answered, if they carry the item in-store. Right away she said, Yes, let me make sure we have it in stock, then was quickly back on the line asking me which of the two sizes I would like because shed keep one behind the counter for me. The service was outstanding this evening.

We went in because my 6th grade daughter is doing a science fair project and needed to interview someone about the difference between expensive and cheap make up Brenna and Mackenzie went way beyond their jobs . They really answered her questions and she learned a lot . Help her pick out makeup for the testing she has to do if people can tell the difference without knowing which is which. MacKenzie is awesome. I visit this Ulta for the Benefit Brow Bar. It was very difficult to find someone that knows how to wax eyebrows. She knows what’s she’s doing. She’s quick and friendly. If you need your eyebrows done, go check out MacKenzie. You will not be disappointed.

I want to start this with this statement: Jurate at Salon Ulta UTC is absolutely amazing! She made my hair AMAZING and after the day I had I didnt think that was possible. Here is my story: Yesterday I had a serious crisis in a womens life. I just moved to Parrish FL from OH at the end of January. I have been hesitate to get my hair done. I finally got to the point where it just had to happen! I made an appointment with a salon near my house. I have always had highlights but living in FL now, I wanted to add some platinum highlights to brighten me up. WELL...let me tell you, I got out of there and my hair was WHITE. I am talking grandma white. I was MORTIFIED. There was ZERO life in my hair, it was dry and WHITE...I cannot say white enough. I was so embarrassed I cried the whole way home. My wonderful husband calmed me down and said, call Ulta, they are open and you need help! I called in a panic and explained the situation. Jurate was so wonderful on the phone. She said come in and I will fix this! I went in, hat on...mortified! Jurate was seriously the nicest person I have ever met. She and another client calmed me down. The client before me said Girl, if anyone can fix this it is Jurate, God led you to the right person and place. When I sat down Jurate explained everything she was going to do! Very detailed!~(the other salon was not like that). She added lo lights and some color back into my roots and let me tell you, an hour later I was crying happy tears!!!!! She is a complete savior and I am so happy that I was led to her expertise. She also added a little swoop bang to shape-up around my face. I was also in need of new shampoo and she recommended the products I should be using! I am so pleased and believe me I will never go anywhere else. My hair did a full turn around from that afternoon...when I left I had dimension back...my hair was SOFT and looked fabulous.... Jurate has a new client and I 100% recommend her to anyone!!!!!!!!
