I wont trust my hair to any other salon in town. I have my favorites (Hi, Lestat and Audrey!) but when Ive had to make last minute appointments, the other stylists Ive seen have all been amazing. Everyone at the front desk is always so nice (especially Hema, who is a literal angel on earth.) Lestat and Audrey really listen to what I want and will gently guide me to an alternate solution when what I want is not feasible with my hair type or maintenance goals. Im really busy and not super consistent with my appointments, so they make sure my color will grow out beautifully, whether I come back in 5 weeks or 5 months, and never make me feel bad about my lapses. My 14 year old daughter also gets her hair done here and loves that they treat her like a friend and not a kid. Highly recommend!!!

I love Hair on Earth as it is the only salon I like to visit in town . Emma is the absolute sweetest and takes her time, not only that she’s done my hair several times and has always done amazing. She’s fixed my hair from a horrible color I did on myself. And she has cut my hair exactly how I want everytime. Other than my amazing hairstylist the atmosphere in here overall is welcoming, from the minute you walk in. Also it’s just so cute in there.

Hair on Earth is honestly my favorite salon in town. Ive seen Bre a few times by now and every time Im always blown away by her work. Her product recommendations are always on point too! She really listens and takes what you ask into consideration and delivers each time. The staff are always friendly and the vibes are really chill here. Anyone that Ive talked to about hair Ive always recommended that they come to Hair on Earth to get taken care of =)

Been coming to this salon for the past three years and have had haircuts done by majority of their stylists. All have been amazing experiences, their customer service is awesome. My favorite stylist is Jenaya, she is sooo accommodating and goes above and beyond. My hair can get very curly and Jenaya always knows how to manage it and bring my hair to life.

I’ve been to this salon multiple times for haircuts & color. Both Ansleigh & Emma have done amazing jobs with my hair. I have very thick, difficult to style hair and they both have always been patient and diligent and made sure I loved what I walked out with. I love going to Hair on Earth to get my hair done. Everybody is so nice, I appreciate that you’re offered a drink as you wait for your appointment. I just cant thank Hema and Hannah enough for helping me deal with my hair falling out from chemotherapy. Hema went above and beyond and opened the salon early to accommodate my weakened immune system and left me a beautiful gift basket at my salon chair. Hannahs gentle and kind demeanor was perfect for me as I laughed and cried . She gave me options as we went along, ultimately taking it down to complete baldness. I could not have asked for a better experience. My heartfelt thank you for supporting me as I go through this unexpected cancer experience. I will never forget your kindness!

I came in with my hair all one length, faded color, bangs that I had chopped myself, and only a faint idea of what I wanted… Lestat took the time to consult with me, ask if I had pictures of what I wanted, and regularly checked in to see how I was feeling and if I was comfortable. This is the best hair salon I’ve ever been to and he has a real gift with styling. I will always come back for him!!. The salon was beautiful and clean, and all the people there were friendly and accommodating.

Jenya was amazing! She is very professional and did amazing work. Very impressed. ❤️ She had to spend 8 hours fixing my hair that was box died black for years to beautiful blonde. I absolutely love it and will be back for sure. The only thing that was unpleasant was the choice of music. It was very depressing and had me falling asleep but Jenya was awesome! The music was changed at my next appointment and it felt like a total new upbeat atmosphere!

My daughter’s color work didn’t take properly at her first visit to Hair on Earth. After a call to the salon, she was worked in with Will to get the color just right. Will and his salon were gracious and dedicated to giving my daughter the color she wanted. Everyone’s hair is different, color doesn’t always work the way it should, but experiencing how Hair on Earth cares about making sure their clients are happy has me convinced that we made the right choice with them. JENAYA IS THAT GIRL!! I’ve gone to Jenaya two times now and she’s managed to make my experience (and hair, of course!) even better. I love how knowledgeable she is about hair and sh we makes me aware of what she’s doing during the whole process to ease any nerves.I remember when I was first put with Jenaya , I was super nervous because I wasn’t sure if she would be able to achieve the red/auburn color I desired for my hair because I know that can be a hard color to achieve. She proved me wrong. It came out better than I could ever expect and it was so well done.Additionally, she’s great at product recommendations. I was struggling with dry and frizzy hair, and she knew exactly how to handle this issue even when I struggled to explain my hair situation by recommending a moisture hair mask that has been my holy grail. She’s done such a great job of educating me on how to take care of my hair and keep it looking its best. Because of her, I’ve used less heat on my hair, decreased my washes, and embrace my natural hair finally!I’ve received so many compliments on my hair since Jenaya has done it. You can’t go wrong with her and her amazing hair skills. Not to mention, she’s also such an empathetic and super fun human. This is your sign to book Jenaya! ☺️

Today was my first time visiting Hair on Earth and I am so happy with my results! Priscilla was my stylist & she was awesome! She listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted. She was up front about what to expect since I was attempting a pretty substantial change, which was refreshing. Prices were good (not as high as other salons in town) and they have deals for first time clients. I made my next appointment, and will definitely be going back.

Going in not knowing what to expect for a first time treatment, I was a bit nervous about how my hair would turn out but Ansleigh’s kind, amazing, patient and TALENTED personality made the experience incredibly pleasant and easygoing. Audrey has consistently performed at a top-tier stylist level at each of my partial & full foil appointments. I came to her with extreme hair breakage from a previous salon. I had pieces of hair sticking up around the crown of my head and burns on my scalp. Audrey was comforting & walked me through every step we would take to save my hair.After working with Audrey for the last five months: my hair is now healthy, free of breakage and in its best condition. She uses Olaplex to ensure there is minimal damage and the health of my hair is maintained. She is also wonderful to be around and each appointment feels like I’m catching up with a friend. Audrey is an absolute gem and I could not be more grateful.

Discovered this place by accident! Chelsea is my hair stylist and they always exceed my expectations. They go out of their way to explain things to me and work super hard to help me achieve my hair goals. Not only are they amazing at styling hair, but their prices are super affordable! Chelsea is a very attentive listener and makes sure to reiterate what you are asking for so we are always on the same page. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a trusty stylist and a great experience. Love them!

The stylists are super knowledgeable and the atmosphere is cool and welcoming. They use hair care products such as Verb and IGK which are very healthy for hair and the environment. Chelsea helped me find a hair care routine that made my hair less frizzy, less oily, and so much easier to manage because they actually helped me understand and treat my hair to my personal needs!! I cannot recommend this place more. Hair on Earth is by far the best salon in Tallahassee.

I decided to give them another chance with a different stylist (Ansleigh) since they had good reviews, gorgeous hair colors on their insta, and I needed a new hair stylist since I moved back to Tally.I’m glad I ended up with Ansleigh bc my experience well exceeded my expectations. I’m literally in love with my hair and I get constant compliments on it! I cannot say enough good things about her.

I was looking for a salon that would be consistent in quality after going to AVEDA for a long time and getting different students with different hair cutting abilities. I definitely found quality at Hair on Earth!! I first booked my appointment with Priscilla and I’ve been going to her ever since. I like that she always remembers what I like in styling my hair and recommends cuts that help me easily achieve those styles. Don’t be dissuaded by the cost like I was initially — I work in a more professional environment and believe investing a little more money in maintaining my hair cut. Also, shampoos, blow drys, and styling are always included, so you can compare this cost to other places that normally charge more for those services!Anyway, I love it and I will continue to be a customer!!

Ever since I found Chelsea & Hair on Earth a few years ago, I’ve never gone back!! Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. It’s always clean and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming.Chelsea is the reason that I care about my hair now and am having fun with different colors for the first time in my life. Vanessa did an absolute amazing job on my highlights and cut! The only negative is the price. I’ve never paid that much for just a color (first time so hair cut was free which is awesome), but not when the color is double what I’ve ever paid for color, cut and style, and it turned out just as great.

Love Hair on Earth! I am a mom with limited time and budget and have extremly high expectations for hair. I had my hair cut by Chelsea and I am beyond happy with her work!! Ive had bad experiences with stylists chopping too much off, so I was a little scared coming in. If you have long hair and are scared of hairdressers, give this place a try! She did even better than the reference photos I showed her and kept my length. Photos are before and after. (Note: in the after photo my jeans arent as high as the before, so it only looks like more length was taken off.)

I had a wonderful experience at Hair on Earth. Im new to the area, therefore new to Hair on Earth. I was greeted by Brittany and offered refreshments while I waited for my stylist -Kaycee. Kaycee did a great job she listened to me and also offered her own opinion. I have very think, long ( mid back), curly/wavy hair and I appreciated the fact that she didnt fly through my haircut and did a very thorough job in cutting and styling my hair. Kaycee also advised me on repairing my chlorine damaged hair. After buying a filter for my shower head and using Ultra Swim Shampoo and Conditioner I can definitely tell that my hair is regaining its health! I will definitely be returning!

Back in early April I got my hair cut for the first time by Chelsea. I was nervous, since I was going from very long hair to a shorter cut, but Chelsea made me feel super comfortable, made sure we were on the same page before she started cutting my hair, and was incredibly friendly. She completely convinced me that Id love my haircut, and I did! Just yesterday I went back for an even shorter cut, and she did an amazing job, friendly as ever. Im absolutely over my fear of getting hair cuts, thanks to her. Shes fairly new to Hair on Earth, but I highly recommend making an appointment with Chelsea, since its very clear she is experienced and cares about how you feel, plus she is a self proclaimed perfectionist, so you wont leave disappointed. :)

I went to the Lafayette St location yesterday for a blow out. I have really curly hair and it was raining ALL DAY, so I was concerned that my hair would get frizzy bc of the rain. Katelin took care of me and WOWZA! She did such an amazing job. My appointment was at 2:30 pm and I had a concert that I was singing in that started at 7:30 pm and my hair did not frizz at all! A bright, open space with a great atmosphere. Very welcoming. The desk staff are always chipper and friendly, and every single one of the 5 or 6 hairdressers Ive had have 1.) Done a great job and 2.) Made the experience pleasant while they did it.The hairdressers have always nailed my (male) haircut, whether Ive told them specifically what I want or just given a rough outline and asked them to exercise their best judgment.I have never felt like Ive had products pushed on me or like Ive been given the hard-sell technique, just had friendly pointers and advice.

Prices are competitive with other area salons, and I always feel like I get what I pay for- and then some.Kacie is a great stylist for several reasons- shes very laid back yet professional, and I feel like she executes the style I request very well. Plus, she takes her time. I may request a simple trim sometimes, but I never feel rushed, and I can tell she really focuses on her work and is proud of that.The products are top quality. They are a bit pricey, but, again, you get what you pay for. I feel like the products effects are explained very well to me, and that I could replicate the style at home after being explained how to properly use them.Atmosphere is nice, too. Inside, a drink is offered when you check in, its well lit, fun music is playing at a respectable volume, and you can tell the overall morale in the place is really upbeat.Parking can be a bit tricky the first time when you first see the parking lot, but its certainly not a deterrent. The salon itself is centrally located.Long story short, I have never left the salon feeling disappointed. I will continue to be a patron! :)

So I just got out of getting a hair cut with Alex and I had the best experience ever! I’m really weird about my hair and haven’t gone into a salon to get it cut in ages because a lot of people are really harsh about what a mess my hair is to the point where I almost always end up crying as soon as I make it to my car afterwards. I’ve experienced a lot of trauma, and I’ve always coped for as long as I can remember by changing my hair in really extreme ways, so it’s always been a big point of insecurity for me because of all the residual damage. Alex made me feel so safe; she was understanding and non-judgemental and only offered me valid and constructive advice on how to handle the state of my hair. She did a great job at cleaning it up and even grabbed some bobby-pins for my hair when we were done because I told her I always feel weird walking around with my hair completely down, which was seriously the sweetest thing ever for her to do. After I left, it was the first time I’ve ever gotten to my car and had some happy tears instead of sad ones. I couldn’t recommend this salon and Alex more and I’ll definitely be going back now that I’ve finally found a place where I can feel comfortable for the first time ever!

I just had my second appointment at Hair on Earth and I only wish I had started getting my hair cut there sooner. Both times Ive been, Kacie listened to my concerns (keeping my ends healthy while growing my hair out, maintaining a low-maintenance wash-and-go routine) and translated them into a subtle trim with long layers around my face. This visit, I also received my first color treatment-- balayage highlights. Kacie took her time painting individual highlights throughout my hair. The result was completely natural-looking highlights that made me feel and look like July had arrived early. I have never seen anyone (including myself) leave the salon looking anything but thrilled with their service and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect cut, color, and style.

The first time I saw her, I was thrilled with the results. I have seen her abour a half dozen times since, and she exceeds my expectations every time whether my hair is short or long.
