    Jen H was recommended to me by my former stylist who moved away. I am in a super awkward phase of growing out a pixie and she definitely made it less awkward! After my experience today, I would highly recommend her.GENERAL SUMMARY: great communication, great technique, great price ... I particularly loved that before starting, she explained what she was thought was best and why she thought that (and we were even on the same page!). Excited to see what she can do once I give her a bit more hair to work with!DETAILS: I started off showing her older photos of my hair in different styles and also the length I want to get to plus some inspirational photos from internet searches. I had one thing in mind then literally the morning of the appt, I realized it was unlikely to be attainable this time around. I hadnt quite gotten into physically showing her which sections of my hair I thought needed to go and which needed to stay when she took the same sections of my hair and then took the words out my mouth! She also used the exact cutting techniques I wanted, and when I mentioned there was a technique I didnt like, she said she would never do that on my type of hair (curly, thin, and tons of it). She gave it to me straight and what I really appreciated was that she didnt cut certain parts of my hair at all. That probably seems weird to appreciate but people dont realize that youre not paying for the hair that is cut off; you are paying for the hair that is left on! Because you wont be syling the hair on the floor, now will ya?!?!

    Moved to Tallahassee over the summer and had no clue where to go. I found this salon and so glad I did. I have been several times since the first and every time it gets better. Everyone is so nice and super friendly. I can honestly say my hair has never looked better…..

    Best place to get your hair done in Tallahassee! I always see Russell, Ive had haircuts, bang trims, and all over color. Always get compliments after going after. Russell is a great stylist and is incredibly knowledgeable. Service is exceptional and prices are very fair. I always recommend my friends to come here. Also the inside is small but very clean and trendy

    Juliet has cut my hair for years now. She is also the only one I trusted to color my hair vibrant blues and purples. I can’t recommend her and Moxie Salon enough; it truly is a great atmosphere with even better cut/color service.

    It’s been a little over 2 weeks since I got my hair cut by Jen and I’m still so in love with it!!! I was hesitant just because I’ve never really been satisfied at any of the other salons I’ve tried, but Jen listened to what I wanted, examined the photo I had, and went to work! It came out exactly how I wanted :D Also, I have a lot of social anxiety, but I was completely relaxed the whole time; I didn’t feel like I had to make small talk or anything, she was very down to earth and made it easy for conversation to come and go, which I really appreciated. Will definitely be going back!!! Thanks again Jen!!

    Juliet at Moxie is an amazing colorist and stylist. She added highlights and lowlights that looked beautiful and natural as I grow out my greying hair.

    Oh my goodness! I couldn’t rave highly enough about this salon! I’m new in town and was needing a change with my hair. I found Moxie and decided to go for it. Thank goodness I did! Jen got my hair feeling and looking AMAZING! This will most definitely stay the salon and stylist I go to! Love love love!!

    Jennifer Ansley is the only stylist in Tallahassee I let touch my hair, shes amazing! There are a ton of hair salons in town and let me say that I have been going to her for almost 10 years now and her services are always perfect and consistent. Shes a very experienced stylist and does an excellent job with hair coloring. I am always looking to go blonder with highlights and she gets the color perfect every time, and not brassy! She is in tune with the latest hair styling and coloring techniques to ensure you nail the perfect look! Her prices are very fair (definitely a steal from the prices I used to pay in South Florida) and the salon is cute and very clean! Ladies (and gentlemen) if you are looking for a new hair stylist, go check her out!

    Jen is the only one I allow to touch my hair. I wanted my hair to look like Aldrich Killians from Iron Man 3, and my experience was simple: I just showed her a few pictures and she was off to the races! It was a clean style-copy and I could not be happier! Also it is wonderful to meet someone who appreciates Marvel Studios movies, other films, and pop culture like I do! If you want your hair to look like that of any Marvel Cinematic Universe character, Jen knows what to do!

    I was visiting town and needed a foil and color. Jenn did an amazing job! I am super picky about my hair and the color and cut were both great! She and the other staff were very friendly and professional. I would definitely visit again!

    Juliette and her team are exceptional!They go above and beyond to make you happy & always at a fair price! They are knowledgeable and have years of combined experience to ensure you will look fabulous every time!     Russel immediately made me feel comfortable when i arrived for my first visit! After explaining that I was a hair novice, he took the time to explain the what and why behind everything he was doing during my cut and style. My cut was so perfect, my hair looked shiny and healthy and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Will definitely be back!

    My friend who had a broken arm needed her hair washed and styled. We looked for a place that took walk-ins and the second place we went to was Moxie. Anna was gracious enough to take her right away and did an excellent job on her! She will be returning as a result. Thank you so much, Anna! We enjoyed the conversation, also.

    I was looking to have my hair done for the first time and I asked around where to get it done, and I was recommend to moxie and I was lucky enough to have Russell do my hair, ABSOLUTELY LOVE !!! He’s so good, and talented and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and better! I highly highly recommend getting Russell, the place is cute and very well trusted, also very good pricing! Defiantly going back

    Juliet Fowler is the absolute best! I travel all the way from the south Tampa area to have her highlight and cut my hair. She is worth the drive! She has such a great talent for hair of all types and colors. I have very thick long red hair that can be very intimidating for stylists to color or do a simple cut because I have so much hair to handle. Juliette works with my hair with ease and consistently cuts and colors my hair exactly to my liking. Even with little explanation from me. I am always satisfied with her work.

    I have been going to Anna for about a year now, she has done my hair and makeup on 2 occasions as well as cut and color all year and she never disappoints. Not only is she extremely talented, she knows her products and help you replicate “the look” at home with advice on what your hair needs. She listens to what you want and always makes you feel welcomed. I will continue to trust her with my hair (and makeup) needs 🙂

    Juliet is by far the coolest person there. I havent met the others as it was our first time there but she is the down to earth genuine kind of hair stylists but on saturday at 1:45pm. We had an appointment and I must say if i could give them a 10 star i would, not just because of the amazing A1 Job she did on my fiances Hair, but the fact that the customer service we received while we were there is unique. You barely find people now a days specially during this pandemic who while doing there job makes the work place more relaxing. Know that I was there for 3 hours because when attempting to dye my fiances hair I messed up. The fact those 3 hours wasnt nothing because she made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this to anyone. Although we live in monticello fl its worth the drive, because the service is so unique. All the artist there have over 8 years of experience there all amazing. But Juliet is our Go to Girl just because that girl got some skill when it comes to hair. Best damn 250 ever spent on some hair. Thanks again!!

    Jennifer is the best in town! Her attention to detail as well as her attentiveness to her clients’ wishes is so special! Even when I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted or how to explain it, she listens and executes far beyond expectations. I recently graduated from FSU and have moved to Destin to start my career. I will miss her so much. I always looked forward to catching up and knowing I would walk out feeling so beautiful. May have to commute every few months, she will be hard to replace!

    Im new in town and this was the first hair salon I went to. It was really nice! the staff was welcoming, there was a very comfy environment and they used really good products for my blow out. Def recommend this place but make sure to place an appointment in advance.

    I love Moxie! Russell is a great stylist and his pricing for mens haircuts is below what the chains charge and you get a much better cut. Russell works hard to make sure you get what you want and even remembers what tlyou got last time. I cannot recommend moxie enough.
