I’ve had my hair done at Alchemy for about 15 years now. No matter which stylist has done my cut or color, it has been an outstanding experience every time. The education that the stylists participate in is excellent; the apprenticeship program is collaborative and really cool to see. It’s been amazing over the years to watch apprentices grow their skills and confidence to become top, badass stylists.

Got a curly haircut with Jen as my stylist. She was super kind, listened to what I wanted, gave me ideas on what she was going for and did a great job. Ive been letting my hair grow but it was forming a mushroom top so I wanted to layer and give it shape so it can grow evenly. Jen was informative and Im very happy with results.

From the second I entered this beauty of a property, the plants, landscape, warm welcome was unreal. I saw Michelle for a curly cut and had a wonderful experience! She is obviously a master with hair texture and is easy to talk to and create a plan with. Everyone in the salon was super friendly, it was a beautiful and welcoming space, and my favorite they have a ton of parking behind the building! Cant recommend them enough based on my experience with Michelle and everyone I encountered.

My fiancé and I both came in for curly trims w/ Michelle in prep for our elopement/honeymoon next week. She is a DREAM. From the beginning she was so calm, giving tips throughout the appt and was just so kind and made our experience incredible. It felt like she was a friend alongside us and excited for us to get married too!! My fiancé has very curly hair but I have more wavy hair that needs work for curls to come out. She totally made me feel like I had beautiful curls and I am over the moon with how personable she was and the care and energy she put into the appointment. Its only our first appt with her but I dont want anyone else touching my hair now! 💘 thank you so much! also the front desk ladies were so caring when I told them I had a migraine and offered a warm towel & kept checking on me!!

Lyndsay is so amazing. The best damn hairdresser Ive had in my life. If you want the sexiest wolf cut, shag or mullet on the planet, shes your lady. Also does amazing lift and color. Staff are super accommodating and just lovely all around. Never had a negative moment in their shop. Everyone here is a hair ARTIST.

I got my hair dyed and cut here, alex was my stylist and was a joy! She made my curls just the way I want it and the color was just divine. It was all very expensive sadly as it is located in downtown orlando. However if in the future I want to refresh my colour for cheaper I definitely will come back!! Amazing service.

This is a beautiful salon to start off, and they have taken their safety precautions seriously.I went to see Bailey because her cuts on Instagram were beautiful. She did an amazing job creating a beautiful cut - especially my bangs. I have seriously never had my bangs cut well and I finally have the bangs I want!!!!

I hadn’t had a haircut in 19 months, I moved to the Orlando area in March and didn’t even know where to start looking for a new stylist. A few people recommended Alchemy and I’m glad they did. I had my first haircut with Diana today and she did a great job. My hair looks and feels great and it’s such a relief to not have to deal with a long tangled mess anymore. The salon is beautiful and the staff is all friendly. See you in six weeks!

When I moved to central FL, I left behind a stylist I had been going to for 10 years. We built a lot of trust and the idea of finding a new person to cut and color my hair was a bit overwhelming, so I put it off for a long time.When I finally couldn’t put it off any more I did my research and I found alchemy- and I’m glad I did! I originally scheduled my cut and color with one person, but when they saw my inspiration pictures they reassigned me to Stephany - who was gracious enough to rearrange her schedule to work with mine. She was so friendly and did a great job coloring & brining what I wanted to life! She even went the extra mile in showing me how to style my hair and suggesting good tools and products to use. I also had Diana for my haircut and she helped turn my indecisive jumble of ideas into a beautiful cut that was perfect for me!!The salon is clean and beautiful. All the stylists are professional and friendly. And the quality of work was amazing! I went in knowing that for good work I’ll be paying a high price, but I’m used to that so it wasn’t a surprise. I’m so glad I went because now I’ve found exactly what I was looking for and I’ll definitely be back!!!

I have been looking for a great place to get a curly haircut. I booked an appointment with Michelle and she styled my hair amazingly. I had been pretty upset with my previous cut and style and had tried so many products to bring life to my curls. She gave me a simple routine that I can keep up with. Let me tell you, the way my curls look now has given me a confidence boost and helped me love what I look like when I see myself in a mirror. I can’t completely put into words how much this hair cut changed me inside and out. Thanks, Michelle and Alchemy. Can’t wait to book my next appointment!

Alchemy deserves five stars and then some. I came here years ago when I lived close by. I recently needed some hair help and didn’t know where to go so I decided to come back. Lowe cut my hair a few weeks back and did an amazing job. She took extra time to teach me new ways to manage my insanely thick, difficult hair. I came back for a gloss just a few weeks later and once again I’m super impressed. I love how much they care about their craft. Lowe clearly knows and loves what she does and the environment is relaxing and enjoyable. They even brought me coffee and a glass of red wine in the same visit. I’m a fan.

Best hair salon experience I’ve had in a long time. Went in for a first time cut with Bailey and it’s fair to say I would die for her by blade or fire. Phenomenal service, insane technical skill, great atmosphere. Shoutout to the assistant who washed my hair too, I believe their name was Emily, they were amazing and so sweet and friendly. I came in wanting an unconventional haircut—a mullet—which is something I feel a more inexperienced stylist could mess up pretty easily, but not Bailey, she gave me exactly what I wanted and also made sure I’d have the tools to style it myself afterwards! Please come here for your next cut! Can’t recommend it enough. I attached a before and after of my hair too so you can all see the magic Bailey worked on my head.

She was very patient and cut my hair so precisely, to really match the style I wanted. :)I have thick, dark, wavy/curly hair, so if you have a similar hair type, I would highly recommend going to Diana - she is so good at adding shape/movement and styling everything perfectly!

Wanted to take a couple days and get used to my haircut. Absolutely in love with it. It dries the way i want, it flattens the way i want now. And it stays straight.Kim did exactly what i was trying to get the 2 stylists before her (at different shops) to do. They said i didnt need point cutting, but thats exactly what my head needed to blend everything together. Worked out great, 100% happy with how its turned out.Will be back!

I have gone to Alchemy in the past around 2018-2019 however the stylist(s) that did my hair at the time cut good hair, just wasn’t good for my hair texture.HOWEVER, I wanted to give another stylist a shot and I saw Diana. My first appointment was just a simple bangs/face frame dry cut as I wasn’t looking to cut my lions mane just yet. However, months went by and I desperately needed a haircut, so naturally I went to Diana again. I can confidently say that this is THE best haircut my hair has received in the past years. Because my hair is so thick and long, many stylists tend to chop and thin it out but Diana took her time to listen to my hair concerns, let me know what she was doing and why, gave me a great product recommendation for my hair type, and didnt make my thick hair super thin. I walked out of the salon loving my hair even more and even after the first wash at home it looks amazingggg. If you have thick/wavy hair like me & struggle to find a stylist that wont chop it into pieces , Diana is def the girl to go to! Thank you Diana!!!

I love this place for the vibe and the people. The atmosphere is very nice and the people learning/in training are attentive and kind. The building looks great and is always clean when I have gone. A lot of parking out back too.Maguire is great at what she does! I have been going to her since I moved to Orlando, about a year and a half/2 years now and I will continue going until I move away. Great attention to detail, communication skills to really figure out what you want, and advice for what to do at home. Cant recommend this place more for alternative type of hair styles, curly hair, or really just in general!

I love going to Alchemy to get my hair done. Ashley does my color and she’s absolutely amazing at keeping me a blonde goddess. Nicole, who is amazing and so fun to chat with, cuts my hair and does a great job. I’ve had multiple stylists with no complaints and highly recommend this place - the only one thing I would change if I could is that some of the interns are better/worse at styling in the end - but hey, they’re learning! Super relaxed environment where I can either work on my laptop or enjoy a glass of wine.

Alchemy is a top notch salon at an affordable price! I moved from NY to Orlando almost 3 years ago and finally found a place and stylist I love. I highly recommend Corinne!!! I’ve been all over FL trying to find someone who could help me with my hair crisis. I spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a solution to my thick, course and recently curly hair with absolutely no luck. Every stylist had a different theory and solution that fell flat. I almost gave up entirely and thought maybe I’ll just never achieve the nice beautiful hair I use to have. This all changed yesterday when I attended my first appointment at Alchemy and met the amazing crew that works there. Corinne was extremely knowledgeable with what was happening with my hair, Hormones! I was shocked but she told me to embrace the curls and that’s exactly what I did. She did a dry cut which was a first for me. I’m so in love with my hair now I could cry! She showed me how to style it which only takes 15mins to my usual 1-1/2 to 2 hours. She showed me products that help my scalp and cut down on frizz. My service with Corinne was literally the best hair service I’ve ever had. If I could rate her and this salon 10 stars I would!!

I went in a week ago to get my hair dyed an emerald green and Maddie was my hair specialist. She was very friendly and made me feel super comfortable the whole time. We chatted the whole time and made me feel at home which Ive never felt at a salon! She did an amazing job on my hair and even asked if i have any concerns about my hair and what i could do for it. She gave me some green conditioner to use to keep my hair vibrant till the one i ordered on amazon came in. Unfortunately the conditioner turned parts or my hair blue but when I messaged Maddie she immediately put me in for a complimentary fix up and when i went in the second time again i was greeted with a warm welcome and she fixed me up in no time and even styled my hair for me again which i didn’t expect!! I am definitely going to go see Maddie again for my hair again (: thank you!!!!

Maddie is the absolute greatest-- a gem forged from the shiniest of stones. Shes been coloring my hair for years, and I cant even imagine going to anyone else. It’s been 3 weeks since I went to Alchemy and I’m still so obsessed with my cut. Lauren made me feel so comfortable and walked me through each step of cutting my hair. I had long hair but wanted mid-length layers and to get rid of my split ends, but I didn’t want it to look too short. She gave me face-framing layers and preserved the length, and my hair looks so much healthier from the TLC.I’m very skeptical about finding the right fit for hair care and I had such a great experience here. This was only my first visit to Alchemy, but I’m definitely going to return.

Last week I had my hair cut by Ashley Rose and she is INCREDIBLE!! I was so nervous because Ive always gone to the same person for 8 years and I have very curly hair and lots of it which can be difficult work with. She cut it and styled it exactly how I wanted, she explained everything to me as she was working and took her time. Paige helped out a lot with styling my hair and she was also incredible. Both of these ladies were so cool and such a pleasure to talk to! I also love the green initiative at Alchemy and the overall vibe of the place. I will definitely be back soon to get my hair coloured!!

I went to Diana for a haircut yesterday and left with my favorite style, a French bob. She took the time to listen to my hair issues and did a razor cut, just what I needed for my fine hair. I had full highlights and conditioning treatment done by AMBER twice to get back to blonde from dark hair that’s been bleached and dyed over. She did an AMAZING job each visit with no breakage, my hair felt healthy and I loved the result, which grows out naturally even though my hair is naturally black. She took her time doing the fine highlights which took a lot of patience and foils. She listened to what I wanted my results and where I wanted to be more light. Very sad I’m leaving the States, so I can’t come back regularly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMBER and Alchemy!

The salon itself is beautiful and inviting. I had a haircut here with Teryn. I could tell that Teryn really listened to what I wanted and she spent a lot of time designing the haircut. This was no normal haircut, she took her time picking out each piece of hair until she created exactly what I was hoping for. She really seemed to care and enjoy her work. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Had an amazing experience with Maddie and Jessica. Jessica cut my hair and Maddie bleached and colored it. They were both so sweet throughout the whole process, making sure they knew what I wanted and that I was comfortable. They made what was an intimidating process (bleaching my hair for the first time) an easy experience. If you are thinking of getting your hair done by them, I would definitely recommend you booking that appointment :)

This was my first time at Alchemy and it was such an amazing experience! I have very curly hair so I was nervous about getting my hair done. When I booked my appointment I let the receptionist know I have curly hair, she understood my needs and booked me Kristen. Kristen cut and styled my hair and did such an amazing job. My hair looks fresh and my curls are more defined then ever. I will definitely be going back to Kristen next time I need my hair cut and I suggest to all curly hair girls to work with Kristen as well! Thank you Kristen!

I got my hair cut here back in 2018 and really loved my experience . . . And getting to go back now at their new location on Bumby Ave was even better! My stylist Corinne was really wonderful to work with and reassured me how my chosen style would work with my curly hair type and facial shape. Theyre friendly, cool, professional, and all around wonderful! I absolutely recommend them, especially for people with natural hair.

I discovered Alchemy by asking a friend with a short haircut I admired what was the source. At the time I wanted to move from long hair to a short style. Based on how great my friend looks all the time I went to Alchemy. It is without a doubt the best salon Ive ever been to in Orlando. Its not cheap, but its not overly expensive. If you value up to date styles, expert stylists, and a fun, College Park location, youll love Alchemy. Everyone I see coming out of the salon looks great. Lauren is my stylist, I recommend her because shes simply the best.

Hands down the most incredible hair salon in Orlando. Staff is all very knowledgeable (highly, highly recommend Maguire!) and the space is chic aesthetic heaven. This is the kind of salon where your hair is both cared about and cared for. I felt welcome from my first visit here for my consultation and I immediately noticed the attention paid not only to my hair’s needs but the consideration given to what I wanted my hair to look like. This is not the place where they bleach your hair and send you home; this is the place that takes you through careful phases to maintain healthy hair and achieve your goals. Be prepared to spend generously on yourself, but with the quality of work done, you will not be disappointed. I’ll only ever trust my hair to Alchemy!

I love the atmosphere at Alchemy, I think its a good balance between eclectic and homey. I like the grunge style and with the variety of plants still feels soft and spa-like. I worked with Michael and was continually impressed with his talent in working with me to figure out my ideal pixie cut. I recently moved out of the state and is the only reason I stopped going to Alchemy. I wish them all continued success and highly recommend Michael for cut and color.

Jessica who works there is so wonderful and an absolute genius with a pair of scissors! Teryn took such good care of me AND my hair; she asked questions about my hair, what my goal was, and what had been done to it previously to make sure that I left beyond in love with my new cut and style. Id honestly gone in to get a previous badly done cut fixed, and walked out looking like it had never happened; just seeing what she was able to do and how easy it would be for me to maintain and style myself was a serious boost to my confidence. I seriously doubt Ill be going anywhere else; I highly recommend Teryn, and honestly anyone else at the salon at this point.

I have been a client of Ashley Deen for over a decade when she was in NYC and she is hands down the best colorist I have ever had and only person I trust with my color. Ive gone here a few times now and can honestly say that I never want to go anywhere else. As a person with wild, thick, curly hair, it has been really hard for me to find a stylist that really knows what to do with my hair type. Lo at Alchemy takes care of me every time and each haircut is even better than the last! I never feel rushed and completely trust her. It would be difficult to overstate Teryns talent at cutting hair (I am offering my perspective as a male in his 30s with what I formerly believed to be incurable dual cowlicks). Love getting my hair cut here! My husband and little ones get their hair done too. Everyone is so nice and atmosphere is really relaxed. I have never in my life had a hair cut that I could air-dry and have it look so good. They were so cool about my 3 little ones hanging out on the front couch doing puzzles, coloring etc. I have been to Lo and Ashley with the dark hair ;) Both excellent with kids. As for the cancelation fee, if you do not show they miss out on that money and didnt book ANYONE else because YOU were supposed to be there. It makes sense. ;)

I moved to Orlando a few years ago and have gone to Kristin for a cut/color every single time. She’s easy to talk to but not overly chatty what is exactly what I want in a stylist. Prices are definitely reasonable for the area, especially given the quality of work. I came here on recommendation from a friend. Tiffany was recommended and she did not disappoint. She talked with me and asked (and listened) about what I want, dont want, how much fuss Im willing to put into my hair on a daily basis. She gave me a cut that was perfectly suited to my hair type and the shape of my face, which, makes a big difference between a good haircut and a *great* haircut!The salon itself is eclectic yet nice. Industrial and funky with a really open feel. Youll be greeted by one person, shampooed by another, then cut by someone else. Its a pretty safe bet it will be a young woman with lots of body art/piercings. If you are not put off by these things and you want a really great cut, COME HERE. No big pushy sales pitch about product at the end either. Suggestions were made and I did buy a small container of styling goo, but didnt feel sold to in any way.Ive called and made another (way overdue) appointment. Its three weeks out, but Im convinced what I get is worth the wait. Oh, about fifty bucks, out the door, (I have a lot of hair) and worth EVERY PENNY.

I am particularly concerned with a stylists ability and experience with bleach/color highlighting (in my case ,long hair specifically). A too high volume with bleach can and will destroy the condition of hair that has taken years to get long and most importantly, healthy looking,after years of highlighting. I found, by asking questions and sending pictures of my hair along with an explanation of what I wanted (no help from magazines). They were very open and easy about that type of communication (I had missed my consultation in person). What I wanted, well,not every stylist doesnt have the knowledge (much less time) to do what I wanted.They put me with Kristen. She was experienced, not intimidated and I trusted her. My highlights were spectacular (with help from 2 assistants). I gave 4 stars because the price was higher than I had been told by the front desk but ,in all fairness, I HAD missed my consultation in the shop ( I did send pictures as per request but when I asked Kristen, I dont think she gave them more than a glance). My highlights on long hair were quoted at a star point of $135, if a toner was used it would be $30 more,so &195 for full head highlights using a toner. I explained that I didnt want to use color, only bleach, so the foils would have to be removed at intervals, to get several shades of light blonde, med.blonde, dark blonde, etc.Makes for a very natural look but gorgeous when done properly. I had a bit of a trim but when they were a little blunt, I just adjusted them at home. I had her texturized the top back for a little height. That was fine but by then,I got a so-so blow out. My total cost was $260, which meant that I paid $65 for a bang trim/texturized top. Didnt touch the ends,just as I asked.Shes very good and I booked for a full head touch up before I left for 7 weeks later. I tipped $40, I knew I had my new stylist. I was a little disappointed to have to ask that she dry the back all the way but I loved the color, the people and the whole easy feel of the place.I would recommend Kristen to anyone. Just be clear on what you want and what you expect,if you are particular about your hair. I would trust her with just about any service but you just want to get the right stylist for your hair, not mine.I dropped $300 ,a little more than expected but I have very long hair.Make an appointment and schedule a 15 minute consultation (its worth it )P.s. Kristen ended up leaving this salon and not telling me she wouldnt be there for my next appt. which was in a couple days.Not one person mentioned it BTW ! If I hadnt called the day before to check I would have arrived to MY STYLIST WORKING ELSEWHERE ! They still have some great stylists but when I found Kristen she told me she had to worry about mental issues and that every time I came in she ended up a nervous wreck. Lmao. Funny thing is she didnt look nervous at all as she was collecting $300 +/- bucks for my mental- stress causing problems which Im not aware of. Never heard that in LIFETIME of going to some of the best stylists in Florida and New York, Atlanta etc. Im looking at it like this: She did me a huge favor by not taking me. 1st of all, it wasnt nervousness as Id been seeing her for about 2 yrs since the old shop . Why didnt she say something in 2 years time. Never did. Not once. How unprofessional can 1 hair cutter be ? For that kind of money she could have bought vitamin therapy or CBD ! STRANGE 👧 GIRL.I now see Lindsey who is extremely talented and Im going to ask HER if she feels drained after my appointment tomorrow on 12/23. Shes great with blonde highlights but Im just getting a cut & dry so well see.

They always ask if you would like something to drink. The stylists here are top notch. They always listen to you, offer suggestions and take their time to give you a great cut and styling. I was able to book a same-day appointment with Corinne and her assistant, Claire. Corinne was a wizard, working two clients at a time while I was there- so be aware of this if you like to feel doted on. However, this is not to say that I didnt get all that I paid for and more. It had been nearly a year since my last cut, and I went half out of a feeling of obligation to get myself together, and half curiosity (the building is gorgeous, after all). I sheepishly admitted that I didnt have some grand vision, so Corinne went right into question mode: How do I take care of my hair? Do I like my length? Would I like any fringe? What about the last time I got a cut- was I happy with the results, or is there something we should change? So on. This is exactly what a disinterested gal like me needs when I get my hair cut- someone who will assess, take charge, and proceed in a decisive manner. Showing a picture of someone elses hair rarely seems effective for me anyhow, as its not *my* head of hair. With Claires help, we did a few rounds of cutting with two shampoo sessions, plus styling once with a diffuser to demonstrate at-home care and then again with a round brush and hair dryer for that salon finished look. So, all in all, I walked away with quite a lot of service.It is perhaps slightly more expensive than similar salons Ive been to, but I think its worth the level of confidence I have in their abilities. Again, I felt Corinne made a point to be simultaneously thorough and efficient. I also didnt pick up any of the stiff, uncomfortable vibes that so often come with established salons. I get the impression that the stylists actually, you know, *like* being there and can get along, like human beings ought! The waiting area is full of pretty plants and natural light, and the salon floor is both modern and warm.Happy you guys are in the neighborhood. Ill gladly be back.

I got a haircut like 3 months ago. And it still looks good.I believe thats the hard part. Like, You can get a nice haircut and it lasts for a week or two and then it goes kinda hard to control and have to trim it in a couple of month. Specially with my thick hair.I still dont feel like I need a haircut, and I love the way it is now.

Go see LT! I have not had the bright, pretty blonde I have been wanting for more than five years (while seeing another stylist). LT got me back to the beautiful blonde I was longing for! And while I am naturally dark blonde, the shadowing she did to blend the roots makes the highlights look completely natural and her highlight sections arent stripey at all. It looks truly sun-kissed. Its like my childhood blonde and I LOVE IT! The hair cut is pretty great too.

Jaxx is very talented. I was formerly a brunette and required touch ups to ward off the grey. I gave up the fight and decided to accept that I was loosing the battle. Jaxx helped me transition to fully natural grey, and I couldn’t be happier. I enjoy the time I spend at Alchemist’s Salon. Jaxx’s partner Sarah, is lovely. They operate a clean and relaxing space in a Historic building. Jaxx has a gift for making her clients feel and look their best. 5 Stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They both are good for conversation which is nice to have when you spend 5 hours in a chair.I see Sarah who specializes in fashion colors and styles. Youll leave looking like an Instagram model.Her partner Jaxx also does microblading and lash extensions.
