Love, love, loved my salon experience with Jacob, my stylist, today at Waves. I had always wanted to have straight hair and today he fulfilled that dream by giving me a Brazilian blowout. I really enjoyed visiting with both Jacob, and Dan who made my experience a lot of fun. I plan to visit Waves whenever I’m in town and can’t wait to take advantage of some of their other services.

My first visit was about a year ago when my daughter’s hairstylist canceled at the last minute before an important dance event. I had booked my daughter, an updo appointment for her spring formal. The night before the formal the Hairstylist from a different salon canceled. Forcing me to have to find a new Hairstylist the morning of the formal on a Sunday. Dan, was able to find me a stylist who did a phenomenal job! Stephanie was nice and accommodating. My daughter said she felt like a princess after her hair was done. I will definitely be going back in the future when they get into their new building. What I liked best was they worked with my budget.

The staff are so warm and inviting, focused on personalized customer service at its best. The flexible scheduling meant I was able to coordinate my time without much notice, receive amazing communication and take advantage of fantastic recommendations for a Sunday appointment. Returning as an existing client, nothing but absolute joy in coming here! Immediately as we walked in we felt extremely welcomed. The staff and Jake were so friendly, and made me and my daughter feel very comfortable. I have been looking for a salon that made you feel welcome from start to finish, and let me tell you I FOUND IT!!! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by DAN the MAN who you immediately adore! The salon/spa is so inviting from the fish tanks, to the decor. Jacob is AMAZING!!! He turned my drab boring dark brown hair into a sultry mahogany masterpiece using my natural color as the backdrop. Jacob and Dan have the ability to make time fly by making conversation flow so easily. This was the 1st time that I didn’t pick up my phone to watch a show or play a game while having my hair done. Don’t just take my word for it, go see for yourself!!! A++++++++

I needed to take my 90 year old mother last minute to get a wash n set on a Sunday. I was surprised to find Waves open and had a late afternoon appointment available.The stylist was wonderful with her and was able to give her the hair style she likes.I also met the owners and they are very nice and filled me in on all the rewards and promotions they have.They also have the cutest black lab puppy.It was a great experience for a Sunday afternoon.Thank you

Waves salon is a luxurious and lavish hair studio that is beautifully neat and clean. They give the highest importance to maintaining hygiene standards. The services are amazing! I only gave 4 stars because I felt it was a little pricy for just a quick trim and bangs cut however; if I rated on stylist, atmosphere, ease of making an appointment, and friendliness of everyone; then I give 10 stars! Bianca, did exactly what I wanted and so very friendly. I am new to the area, so this will definitely be my new go-to salon! This salon is a hidden gem!

Bianca is my new favorite at this salon! Her technique at highlighting was beyond fantastic. She was personable and friendly, in fact, time flew by because we chatted the entire time she highlighted my hair. She is a snow bird from New Jersey and we welcome her and her family to the St. Augustine area. My blonde highlights are on the mend from about a year ago being dyed a disaster. She has taken my hair back to being light, bright, and natural. Of course Dan, the owner, kept popping in to make us laugh and check in on the ridiculousness of my before color and style. It is so amazing to have a service completed at a business, with such skill and professionalism. The quality and variety of services offered at this salon is mind-boggling. For example, this was the first time I had a Brazilian Blow-Out which I didnt think I could because I have very fine hair. It is fantastic, do it, if you can. This last appointment was just so pleasant, so professional, and fun. Just try any stylist, maybe Bianca!!!!! You will not be disappointed!

Oh my gosh I was absolutely blown away by Amandas work on my wedding day. She completely transformed me into a stunning version of myself. Ive never received so many compliments! Christie did my haircut. She is amazing. It’s so hard to find someone that can cut your hair the way you like. Best hair cut I’ve had in years! I typical go to higher end salons and stylist but Christie takes it to the next level. I had a bad treatment at another salon in town and they severely damaged my hair. Christie knew exactly what to do and my hair is back to healthy and shiny. She has an extensive resume and has worked with top designers in Miami before coming to St Augustine. The entire salon staff is warm; friendly and welcoming. They also make it easy to make appts online and they have reward program to earn points for discounts or free treatments!

I’m a musician that always wanted to stand out. Always had a generic cut, and needed a change. She provided exactly what I ALWAYS wished for. Extremely thankful I found her. 🙏

I loved my first time experience at the Waves Salon! I was looking for a hairdresser and found Christi through the recommendation of a friend. She was absolutely fabulous. The salon is a full service salon and I got to meet and speak with the massage therapist, and the permanent makeup artist, as well as Dan, the concierge, who was very friendly and offered a wealth of information about the services. I will definitely be returning!

Great experience! The day before school our hair dresser had to cancel so we were scrambling to find a salon for my daughter that we hoped would do a good job not knowing what we were walking into…enter Waves…after calling several places they were able to get us in…it was a 40 minute drive but we were like ok let’s hope for the best. The manager I think is who we spoke to on the phone. SO nice and enthusiastic about his salon. Maddie did my daughter’s hair…it shaved off an hour of how long it normally is and it was about 50-60 dollars cheaper. And it was the best highlight job she’s had! It’s honestly a diamond in the rough so to speak. They offer everything from lashes to hair to massages and etc. definitely worth the drive. Maddie did amazing and I only wish I had before and after pictures! She got so many compliments at school. We’ll be back for sure!

Can’t say enough good things about Waves Salon & Spa! I’ve been looking for a new place to get my hair done and am so happy I found them. Jacob did an amazing job on my hair (short bob & money piece) and I left my appointment feeling super fresh and super cute! Dan was extremely welcoming and did a fabulous job informing me of the many services they offer, their diverse team of cosmetic experts, and their incredible community outreach efforts that really just made me want to support their business even more. Very friendly. Christie did a wonderful job on my hair! I did have to wait about a half hour for her to finish up on another client which typically would’ve been fine but I had to be somewhere that day and was consequently late. I loved how friendly Dan was and informative. I was a little sad he charged me $10 more for my haircut and in the email receipt he billed for a haircut below the bra strap. My hair is below shoulder length but definitely not at bra strap…unless you have your bras strap above your boobs….pic is of my hair before the hair cut so a little disappointed about that lack of transparency with that. I had been looking around for a while since my old hairdresser retired. And finally found Christie!! Highly recommend! This salon is top tier. Dan, the Head Concierge, called me back within two hours of reaching them. He sent a follow up text and left a voicemail. When we got a hold of each other, we talked for ten minutes to discuss budget, anticipated results, how long the appointment should take, and more. He is so warm, inviting, transparent and loving. They were able to get me in the next day with the lovely Bianca! When I arrived, they were waiting with smiles and excitement. During the first hour, we discussed different approaches, timelines, expenses and much more. Bianca and Dan were such a pleasure to spend time with on Christmas Eve. Now, for the process. The other stylist there that day, Jacob, helped brainstorm approaches to get me as blonde as possible that day. Bianca and Jacob worked together off and on to help me achieve the best results. They were so funny, inviting, relatable, non-petty/catty, and I felt at home. AND I received the results I wanted!!!! I was there from 9:30 am - 3:15 pm and never once thought that it took too long, nor did I feel I was a problem client. They were wonderful, patient, knowledgeable, and I felt over-the-top taken care of. I recommend them so highly and I will be back in a couple of weeks for a different type of service. They are exquisite, and treated me like family, and for that I thank Dan, Bianca, and Jacob. I look forward to spreading the word through text and word of mouth!!! I will be singing, Go to Waves!!! for many years to come.

I had my hair blown out and curled by Christie for my engagement pics. She was amazing!! I have extensions and can never get my real hair to hold a curl. I live 5 hours away & found the salon online. I can’t say how amazing experience I had I booked services for 2 separate days/ rehearsal dinner & wedding. My hair both days was amazing. My makeup stayed on even with all the crying and sweating. The brides makeup didn’t even last as well. The vibe in the salon was like I had know them for years & it was so relaxing. Planning to move about 2 hours away & this will become my new salon when we do make the move.

Awesome Experience!!! I’ve always wanted permanent eyeliner but too scared to do it. Jacob did a great job and it was surprisingly way less uncomfortable than I expected. They also have too many services to name including everything for hair, microchanneling , nails, facials, massage, airbrush makeup, fillers, and Botox etc. They have Reward and Membership programs including BOGO offers. From the ease of booking online, to Dan calling with perfect directions, to Christy giving me perfect highlights and Jack discussing my brow needs everything was delightful. Being chemically sensitive, especially to artificial scents, I hadnt been able to go inside a salon for a few years. But Waves is about as nontoxic as a beauty salon can be. Not only did I have no reactions, but I got to meet wonderful concierge Dan and the best hairstylist Christie. Im eager to have a pedicure there next, but in the meantime am loving my new haircut!! So happy to find Waves!!

One of the best salons I’ve ever been to! Very friendly and a beautiful environment. I have very long, thick curly hair and was able to get a haircut fitting to me. He gave me a tour and explained the variety of services they offer, showing that theres something for everyone.The salon itself is inviting, with tasteful décor and impeccable cleanliness—clearly well-maintained.Madison cut and styled my hair. I shared my preferences, and she suggested some subtle changes that I absolutely loved. Despite being typically shy, I found myself chatting with her comfortably throughout the appointment. I traveled here from PA for some concerts. I have hair extensions down to my buttocks and had a nightmare of a situation last night where my hair got utterly and completely entangled and I was legitimately scared that I was going to have to cut all of my own hair off, just to detangle. I had my boyfriend google salons open on a Sunday (what a gift that they were open! ) and he found me this place. I called in, spoke to the concierge named Dan who was not only empathetic and just SO KIND but also made sure to squeeze me to get this handled. Christie and Jacob were both sooooooo gracious and helpful… and he got me in right away (they fit me in, in between their busy schedules) and literally saved my authentic hair. It was the greatest experience and I cannot thank them enough for helping me. GO TO THIS SALON

I have never had a hair stylist know exactly what I wanted and was able to make my hair look like I had more hair than I do.I have horrible hair that is very fine, not a lot of it, sone pieces are still curly and others are straight, 50% grey around my crown. Christie knew exactly how to cut it and actually got my hair color right the first time.Christie portrays such positive energy that is very contagious!!

I am a new customer and from the moment I walked into the building I felt comfortable and was immediately welcomed by the Owners and my amazing stylist Madison. I wanted my hair to become blonde and she delivered above and beyond. Not only was she super nice, but she was the only stylist who didnt have to use toner on my hair and it was not brassy at all. Amazing people, down to earth and the prices are amazing as well. I def found my forever salon! Highly recommend! They offer a lot of services besides hair too .

Yesterday I went for my second massage at Waves Salon & Spa. I was met at the door by the concierge, Dan who automatically knew my name. That was such a nice touch walking into a place and having them know your name. Very welcoming. Alaina was my massage therapist. She quietly and professionally went about her business of finding out about what I needed. It was a very relaxing, delightful experience. My massage was awesome. I could feel the stress just coming off of my body as she worked her magic. I would recommend this spa to anyone who needs a recharge. I did and I felt so much better when I left. I will definitely be back. The prices are very reasonable as well!

First time coming here after getting my first ever set at a different location. Jake, my lash tech, did an INCREDIBLE job doing my fill in while his partner, Dan, was so helpful during the appointment making process as well as just having pleasant conversation while getting my lashes done. I booked my appointment online less than 24 hours before the ceremony and Dan (the concierge) was SO gracious and helpful and got me in at 3pm that afternoon. I came across Wave Salon while looking for someone to do my Brazilian blowout. I’m glad I found Dan and Jacob as they are truly kind hearted humans. I connected with them right away and Jacob did and absolutely amazing Brazilian blowout. Dan was fabulous and went above and beyond acting as my personal concierge and coordinated/scheduled a facial and massage right after. Everything went seamlessly and I walked out feeling pampered and relaxed. Jacob not only listens he understands and genuinely wants to make you feel better again.He explains the entire process, provides options and ideas and also shared other services that may be of benefit to me as I progress. We talked about my wig and how I could get comfortable with it, eye lash options I could consider,etc.Through this entire experience I felt as if Ive known him for years and his main goal is to make me feel beautiful again. 💕This morning when I woke up and saw my beautiful eyebrows I felt beautiful again and did not see cancer but someone who is coming alive again.I cant thank you enough for the give back program. With mounting expenses for treatment it was not something I would have been able to do at this time. But you made it happen and I am forever grateful.

On one of the most important days of my life Dan pulled everything together for me. The morning of my wedding, the person I was scheduled for hair and makeup called out and so my appointment was canceled. I scrambled to try and find last minute hair and makeup services and every call I made was a dead end. Luckily, I stumbled across Waves on Google. He called in two lovely ladies, Maddy for hair and Amanda for makeup. Both did an amazing job. They saved my whole day, I couldnt be more thankful. I got married that afternoon and thanks to Dan and his incredible staff I was ready for it. Love this place ♡
