Katie is amazingly talented as an esthetician and an overall beautiful soul. I love every appointment I’ve had with her and plan to continue seeing her as long as I can. I’ve had facials before but none that left my skin glowing like hers do. If you havent visited The Skin Witch, you are seriously missing out. Her name says it all; the magic she does with your skin and the whole process is second to none. Katie is incredibly knowledgeable, extremely thorough, and one of the purest souls you will ever meet. I could wax poetic for hours on how amazing an experience you will have getting a facial from her. If youre one of those people who gets nervous before going somewhere for the first time (like me the first time I went), she immediately puts you at ease, and its like hanging out with a friend you havent seen in awhile (but honestly you should see her more than once in awhile). My skin loves me when I see her, and I leave completely relaxed with a soothing fresh face. Honestly, The. Best.

I have had spa treatments all over the world and my facial with Katie was truly one of the most relaxing and luxurious experiences I have ever had. I don’t remember the last time I felt so relaxed. She is so knowledgeable and intentional in her work, you can just tell how much she cares about her craft and her clients. Katie’s approach to protecting your skin barrier feels radical in a world of exfoliating and chemical peels but I have truly never felt like my skin was more fresh and bright than when I left my treatment. Absolutely in love with this experience & Katie is amazing. I am so incredibly relaxed and my skin is super glowy. The space is in one of the historic buildings in Riverside and is such a cute set up! Also, can you really lose with a small AND local business? Katie is incredibly kind and personable and also listens. I have been to a few other places where people just dont listen or kind of disregard your preferences so this was lovely. I almost fell asleep a few times. Hands down my favorite facial that I have had and worth every penny.

More than just a facial.. This whole experience took me out of my fight of flight mode that I have been stuck in for some time now. I was able to truly relax and felt so safe and comfortable. Katie has the sweetest most healing presence and you can tell this is a true passion of hers. She is so knowledgeable of the techniques and products she uses. She walks you through every step so there are no surprises. She checks in with you throughout the experience to make sure you are comfortable and in a good head space. Loved the sound bath addition to my experience this time! I feel so refreshed and good about everything that was put on my skin.. she even applied sunscreen at the very end which I was extra grateful for because I didn’t even think to bring mine to reapply after! Katie is so gentle but also intentional. Highly recommend any of the services she offers and I am looking forward to when I come back for my next experience.

She is really gentle and doesnt perform unnecessary extractions. She takes the time to understand your skin and then sends her recommendations and rationale in an email after your visit. Ok...my idea of a good facial before was as many extractions and potions as possible. I came to Katie skeptical...I knew she had a more holistic approach and was more gentle on the skin (focusing on restoring the skin barrier) than I was used to. She now has me converted to treating my skin right! And my skin has honestly never looked better. I have rosacea and some acne, and since going to Katie, my skin is much less red and irritated and what breakouts I do get clear up much quicker than before. Katie is super thorough and educational too. Her new client intake forms ask you everything (which I appreciate) and in the first appointment/consult, Katie asks you lots of questions to figure out what you like/dont like, have concerns about, what your routine is, etc. If you are a wash and SPF and go kind of person or you are like me and are a I have a regiment person, she works with what youre comfortable/looking for! She has the holy grail of products that everyone becomes addicted to, but she isnt pushy. If you have something you like and works for you, she supports that! Katie is the SWEETEST and truly cares about your health - when my skin was freaking out, she dropped off a skin care package at my house the next day (I live on the other side of town) and checked in on me after a few days to make sure it was back under control. And watch for her holiday-themed facials which are so much fun! Book book with Katie!

I walk into Katies beautiful space and practically float out when I leave. I had the Crystal Gua Sha Fusion for my birthday this year and it was exactly what I needed. Incorporating massage, a soothing thai herbal poultice, and gentle gua sha strokes, this facial is everything relaxing AND gives the results I always want. It soothes tension away, lifts, tones, smooths, and leaves a glow that is undeniable. Katie has taught me that skincare doesnt have to be all peels, harsh scrubs, and a million extractions (that most likely dont need to be done) to be effective. On top of this, she is just plain Awesome. She answers my endless questions, listens to my concerns, and makes me laugh in between. If a holistic approach is new to you, put any doubts aside and visit this wonderful witch. It sounds totally cheesy, but your skin will thank you. :)

Well.. shes amazing! I learned something new about my skin. She is professional and knowledgeable yet sweet friendly and def has a totally cool vibe. The treatment was amaaaazing! Im anxious as can be, have trauma from previous health appointments, dont know what Im doing with my skin, and am terrified of my skin being judged. She listened and made me feel calm and safe...once you meet her youll know exactly what Im talking about. She is the shiniest disco ball and will be your #1 fan, educating you every step of the way.During the appointments, she gives me a play by play, answers all my questions, and has gone as far as to come up with a game plan for what works for my anxiety and what doesnt. The fact that I havent broken out in over a year is truly just icing on the cake. The real win here is finding a space and place where I feel well cared for, and have learned that its important to love myself.
