I have been going to see Monica for about 2 years now. I used to live in winter park so it was a bit of a drive, but Monica always made it worth the drive. Now I have moved a lot farther and drive an hour and a half every few weeks just to keep getting my nails done by Monica. She always does the perfect shape, length, and does a beautiful job at any design I ask for. Whenever I am out and about people are shocked I drive so far for a nail appointment, but the reactions on how great they are make it worth it! Jason always does a wonderful job with my pedicure as well.

I’ve been going to Monica for my nails for years, and I couldn’t be happier with her work! She is incredibly talented and always takes her time to ensure I’m fully satisfied before I leave. Monica gave me my favorite birthday nail set, and it was absolutely perfect. She pays such close attention to detail, and I always leave the salon loving my nails. If you’re looking for a nail technician who genuinely cares about her clients and their experience, Monica is the one!

Update!!! They took care of my new set and I’m happy. My nails look amazing and the lady who took care of me was really nice and make sure I like them before I left !Can’t complain about the experience but this is the second time after getting them fix that my nails are peeling and lifting !! When I went to got them fix the lady say the old guy was new and still learning this service do not cost $87

Paid $45 for the gel polish thats guaranteed to not chip for at least 10 days, however its been about 7 days that I went and 2 days ago the polish started chipping. My nail tech was funny and careful with my nails, so that counts for something. I will go back but will just opt for regular gel polish.

This place does good work. But they need to deep clean everything! The floors, tables and pedicure stations! Also find a way to reduce clutter. It could be so nice if it was cleaner and not so junky looking. Also lots of techs hanging out in the pedicure chairs leaving their dirty drinks and mess in the chairs. They all just need to clean the place and keep it clean.

My nail tech is Lee and he’s very gentle, fast, and always checks in after he does something to make sure it’s okay and if I want it differently he completely understands. My nails have been exactly what I wanted both times. Love him! The staff up front are always really nice too.

This was my first time visiting Velvet and trying almond shaped nails. My nail tech Tiffany did an amazing job. She listened to what I wanted and she took her time on my nails. She made sure I was comfortable and always did one nail and asked me if I liked it before doing the other nails and I truly appreciated that. I absolutely love my nails. I did white gel on my toes and my toe nail tech name is Donna and she too did a really great job. She wasnt rough with my feet, her massage was relaxing, and she also took her time. Overall, this was a really great experience for me and I will definitely come back for my wedding nails. 🥰

Lien always does an amazing job on my nails. She takes her time and truly puts care into her work to make sure you leave happy with your nails perfect. Shes also very sweet and patient with me and my many requests!Wouldnt recommend this place for a pedicure though. The guy who did mine literally just stared off into space while rubbing exfoliating scrub aggressively into the TOP (not the bottom, where youd want it) of my foot and SHIN (not the calf, again, where youd want it)...Two places where you would never need a really abrasive exfoliation...It was honestly painful and not relaxing at all. Seemed like he had no idea what he was doing and didnt care. Worst pedicure ever.But for nails, yes 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been going to Velvet Nail Bar in Lake Mary for a few months now and I always walk out loving my nails! The dip powder lasts as long as its suppose to, sometimes longer, and they always look amazing! The manager of the nail salon, Ethan, always does things with excellence and ensures his team does too! I won’t be going to any other nail salon any time soon. I’m definitely hooked and I’ve definitely told half my friends and family to go and get their nails done there.

Ethan is INCREDIBLE and I’m so glad I found him!! I’m 30 and have been getting acrylics and my nails done In general for half my life 16-17 years. I have never found a nail tech that puts as much effort in detail into his work. Not only that my nails always look like something you would see on social media or Pinterest, Perfect shape perfect color if I get any type of design or artwork it always comes out better than I had expected. I still can’t believe I actually found a legitimate nail technician. For years I was afraid to ask for artwork and design on my nails because anywhere I have gone in the past was always a disappointment. I will never let anyone ever touch my nails again except for Ethan. Also their pedicures are amazing I have had multiple different nail techs do my toes and every single time they look absolutely amazing.

He does it the same way you request in the photo with no problems, and he is very nice and always accommodating! I’ve been visiting him for more than a year and I will continue. I’ve been going to Velvet Nail Bar since day one. I love the service I always receive and they always meet my expectations. I used to do just plain color dip powders with Ethan, until one day after I kept seeing his nail art with other clients I decided to be adventurous and try a new look for my nails. Ethan is always ready for any design that you show him, and will make it look so easy. Pedicures there are my favorite too, I always go with my grandma and she loves it!This is my favorite Nail salon ever!!

A friend of mine who always has beautiful acrylics recommended this salon to me. She personally goes to Monica, but told me that every tech there is great. I made an appointment with Ethan after finding his Instagram and wow, he delivered. He executed a beautiful acrylic set, with a hand-painted design on all 10 of my nails, in just one hour. My nails came out better than both of the reference pictures I showed him. He pays sooo much attention to detail. This salon is 30 minutes away from my house, but 110% worth the drive. I can’t recommend this place more. Definitely found my new nail tech.

I LOVE this place! I tell all of my friends and family to come here!! Everyone I have met has been so friendly and make sure you get what you want. Ethan has been my nail tech for my nails and I had this really sweet girl (can’t remember her name for the life of me. It starts with a p., but she was amazing and did my pedicure and waxed my eyebrows). The only issue that I had was whatever wax is used, I am allergic to and my eye brows got super bumpy, red and itchy and took over a week to clear up. But that isn’t the salons fault. I 10/10 recommend this place and will continue to come back here for services. Thank you all for being so wonderful!! This is the very first salon that I have come back to twice.

The shape is on point! The girl next to me had a STUNNING nail design done on her set and I was amazed! Everyone is super friendly and I was not disappointed. Saw an ad on FB & thought I’d give them a try. LOVED it! I booked my appointment with Ethan for a full set. I was 5 minutes early & as soon as I checked in I was seated & Ethan started working on my nails. Showed him a picture of what I wanted & Ethan delivered. He is fast but pays huge attention to detail. I normally feel rushed & they leave little imperfections on my nails but Ethan left them perfect & it didn’t take a long time. The guy who did my pedicure did an amazing job as well. I’ll definitely be back & if you’re thinking about checking them out, definitely do!

His work is professional and clean, hes very helpful when working with you and he ONLY provides the absolute best work everytime. Walked in shortly after 6 on a Friday night. They took us within 10 minute of arrival. My daughter got tips for the first time and is in love. You can show them a picture and they can recreate anything you want. I got color dip with a free hand art design. We both got pedicures. The gel pedi will last you well over a month. They are clean, use new tools on you for pedi. I would never go anywhere else. Finally and nail salon in Lake Mary worth returning to. Ive been to this salon 3x. I’ve had 3 different people every time and every time my pedi and mani have come out phenomenal. It’s nice to not have to worry about who you will get. Everyone here knows what they are doing!

Came here for the first time and was so happy with the service I received. No one else is town could accommodate a last minute pedicure for myself, my friend and our kids. I called Velvet Nail Bar and they agreed to take care of all of us. The decor inside was so cute and really caught my attention upon walking in. Its very chic and modern not like other places. I’ve been getting my nails done the past 6 years and after getting cut and having horrible experience UNTIL I found velvet nail bar. You can show Ethan absolutely any design and he transforms it as pure perfection which we know is important. He takes his time you are never rushed, and his work is outstanding! I would recommend taking their advice on color powder it’s amazing! Also all their staff and technicians are great and very friendly! I no longer have issues with getting cut or scraped. I went to Velvet for the second time today, and i feel like i can give an authentic review. my first experience wasn’t the best. i had come in one day as a walk-in, and had to schedule an appointment for the next day because everyone was busy. despite having an appointment, i was serviced 2hrs after my scheduled time. admittedly, i was frustrated but i understand that there are delays and rough days. I was a bit bummed out to find that i wasn’t even given a discount after the continuous back and forth inconvenience. nonetheless, my nail tech was extremely polite and did my nails well. my nails still came out beautifully. my second experience was 100% better. i arrived earlier in the day, around 11 and was able to be seen as a walk-in. Ethan did my nails neatly and quickly, and even helped me with picking the color. I absolutely love my nails and the service provided my second time visiting the shop.

The nail techs are super nice here but always seem rushed to get services done so the experience lacks and isn’t very relaxing. Each time I’ve gone I’ve been passed around to 2-3 different nail techs even though I’ve had an appointment and arrived early. I got SNS on my nails and they’ve already chipped within the first week but it could just be the quality of their products that caused it. Ethan and the techs are all super nice and helped me with any questions I had, so I will give the salon a few more tries before moving on. I do think they have potential but have just had trouble adjusting to recently opening their doors/demand.

Such a great nail salon. Go book an appointment with Monica. She’s wonderful to talk to and does a phenomenal job. I’ve been to many nail salons and have never had one that pays such close attention to the actual care of my nails (cuticle cutting, buffing, etc.). They usually just do that stuff quickly and try to get you out the door. Monica takes her time to get your nails looking RIGHT! Usually my gel manicures stay on for only 2 weeks, but she does such an amazing job that their lifespan has extended by a full week. You definitely get your money’s worth!

I used to frequent the Oviedo location before moving back to Sanford so I thought I would give the Lake Mary location a try. I had a relax & unwine pedicure with Jason and he did a wonderful job. He was very thorough when cleaning up my nails and my polish looks great.If I could give this location any advice, though I assume all of them are owned by the same company, be kind to your customers even when they leave you a bad review. A bad review should be a teaching moment, not a sounding board for you to berate the people giving you money and keeping your doors open.

First time visit! I got a french full set and a matching pedicure with acrylic on My big toes. Mindy did My nails and I can definitely say I’m pleased with how they came out🤗 got some shorties which is new for Me but I like how they came out! She was very attentive and made sure I was pleased throughout the process! She also did the acrylic for My big toes which came out great. Nice and natural, as I like it🤗 Phillip did My pedicure. Absolutely amazing. He paid close attention to details, did not rush the process, and was very precise with the gel polish application. One thing that I can say is that I made sure that they had an acrylic powder that matched a gel polish (pink acrylic base for the nails. Clear acrylic on big toes with pink gel polish base on top for the toes.) the two colors do not match. Which I’m a little bummed about but I didn’t notice until he was already done. (I made sure it was the same # gel polish before he started. Oh well. Also, Mindy asked if I wanted regular French or deep French. I stated regular French about 3 times to ensure I wasn’t charged for the deep French. Got up to the register and was charged for the deep French. An extra $15, which I definitely wasn’t expecting. Total came out to $144 for a SHORT French full set and a pink cosmo French tip with gel and two acrylic toes.

I went today got the same thing done: fill, fix 2 nails, and gel polish and was charged $50 with Jonny and when I first went with Monica she charged me $72-$75… her work was great but won’t be going back to her cause she purposely over charged.

I recently discovered this fantastic nail salon through Instagram. I’ve had multiple appointments there, one with Prissa and three or four with Mindy for dip powder nails and they have both done such a beautiful job! My natural nails have grown so long and I’m so pleased with the care they take in the salon. Mindy has done some nail designs on a few of my visits, copying Pinterest inspiration photos and she nails it perfectly every single time. I can usually get three weeks out of one dip manicure before I have them redone- but they grow out beautifully with no lifting at all. I highly recommend Velvet Nail Bar in Lake Mary!
