A busy stylist took the time to greet me right after I walked in, and another came out to sign me in only a couple of minutes later. He spent time to discuss details & options even though all I wanted was a few inches trimmed off the ends. My hair was already clean so he misted it w/o soaking it, and the cut was clean & neat. I left feeling like I got quite a bit of service for very little cost

Dawn is amazing and I hope Great Clips knows just how much of an asset she is. I just had the pleasure of Dawn cutting my hair. Im very specific what I get done and she knocked it out of the park. I didn’t have to show pictures, try to explain, or anything. She knew exactly and she knows how to cut hair. Hands down, the best I have worked with and I have had several people from this location cut my hair. I don’t write many reviews, but when I come across an experience that deserves recognition, I will make sure it’s known.

I had gone a couple months without a cut, because my last barber at a privately owned shop left my hair uneven and I was looking for a place that could cut with scissors not clippers, so I didnt end up looking like I had just joined the military. I didnt want a fade. I had searched on-line for Great Clips but this location on SS Blvd. didnt pop up or I didnt notice it but I happened to be going to Publix and cut through all the shops between Larrys Subs and Copelands and found this location at 4372 Southside Blvd. Although it was less than an hour before closing time Dawn was working and had no clients, so I got a shampoo and cut. Halfway through I could tell I would get the cut I was looking for. She did a great job and was very professional. I like that she had me facing the mirror so I could see how it was going too.

I hope this is the correct Great Clips. I was kind of a last minute decider on getting my haircut, the eleventh hour. The staff here was great, Miss Kim who cut my hair, trimmed off beard, and trimmed my eyebrows was friendly and professional. Miss Emma was courteous and professional. Miss Darcelle ( hoped I spelled her name correctly) , who I think was the manager, likewise was friendly and professional and helpful.

Being in the military, its pretty easy to get a decent haircut. Pretty much Uncle Sams way! Then after moving to FL in 2000 and searching years for a good stylist, about three years ago I took a chance with Great Clips next to where I work in St Johns off CR-210. I met Donna. Mind you Im dont sit well with cookie cutter barbers and I was pretty blunt about other stylist and quality of cut. But she listened! She ALWAYS provides great customer service and a superior cut. Even though shes been transferred / promoted twice since we met, Ill always go there as long as she is working. Thank you Donna!

I have extreme anxiety and usually have a lot of trouble in social places like this. I absolutely loved my visit here. Tia was perfect, she verified exactly what I wanted then worked quickly to make sure I was satisfied. She didnt force small talk when it was obvious I was anxious, and absolutely nailed the haircut I asked for. I could not have asked for a better cut, and the experience was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend the place and especially Tia if asked. Will 100% be returning.

My husband and I got our haircut by Heaven, she was truly the friendliest most kind hair dresser ive had the pleasure of being in front of. Sometimes the process is stressful but she did amazing and got my husband and I in and out. We will definitely be back to see Ms Heaven !

Went about an hour and a half before closing time. Cutting chairs were full. Two people ahead of me. Was a little concerned whether I was going to be able to get my haircut today or not especially after I saw the on-line sign in. Unwarranted concern though. The associates cut the prior customers hair and still carried an ongoing friendly conversation with them, they left happy. Then, it was my turn. Not exactly sure what I wanted, I got taken care of very well. I think the guys name was Walter. Very friendly and professional. I definitely will go back

Friendly staff and not too long a wait. Make sure to check in online, but know you cant request online, so let them know when you show up in case you have a certain stylist you like. We adore Cecelia here who handles my special needs child with such care and ease. She never gets frustrated and always knows how to communicate with him. Plus she does a great job too.

This Great Clips location really is great. I am a front desk associate at a local hotel and I am constantly getting my hair cut. Finding an establishment I can go to for a quality cut at a reasonable price is difficult. This Great Clips location is everything I was looking for and more. The management here really does care about the customer and the customers experience. I have had one bad experience and when I expressed it to the manager she could not have handled the situation better.There is one hairstylist in particular named Tia that I consider to be great. Tia is the only person I want cutting my hair. She is consistently friendly and professional. She remembers me by name and knows exactly how to cut my hair. She is the reason I keep coming back.

I attempted a DIY pixie haircut on myself and sorta botched it. I was reluctant to go have it professionally done because I thought they’re not gonna do a good enough job. I’m so happy I decided to go to this Great Clips. Walter did an amazing job. I showed him a couple of pics and he immediately understood what I wanted and needed, and was able to execute it. He is skilled, professional, and personable. Overall had a wonderful experience, and my haircut looks awesome.

Was able to walk in and had a minimal wait for a childs haircut. I dont know the name of the stylist but she did a great job with my niece. Kept her calm as she was washing and cutting a 3-year olds hair. Was able to get in and out and get the products I needed at a reasonable price.

I had realllly botched my hair cut by trying to do it myself, witch i have done before! think i would learn? Noooo,not me! Pearl was really, really nice and did not even laugh , at least , until i left! She did a really great gob of fixing my mistake. and i left with the hairstyle that I was originally trying for, I like this place. it was not real crowed on Wed at noon when I was there , and it was clean, I thought the staff were very nice and friendly. I will will go back, probably next month,when my hail gets too long again.

She has to be the greatest asset you have. personality rating, if 1 is horrible and 10 is magnificent, she gets a 14+. Not only did she do a great job, I felt very confident in her abilities. She made me feel comfortable. When I need another, Tia will be my girl to see. I was there on 4/30/14 at 6:10 and was done and out the door by 6:35pm.

I have changed to Deerwood Lakes Great Clips to follow Donna. She has cut my hair since I moved to the Jax area 8+ years ago. She does a fantastic job cutting my hair and she is also fast. My wife has always liked the results. I wont let anyone else cut my hair. Having Donna cut my hair is more than worth the extra distance i have to travel and would recommend her to anyone.

Always have a great experience here! My toddler has a bit of anxiety getting a haircut, I had a lady I didnt get her name but she set my son up on the floor with her little booster seat in the waiting area taking her time to try to calm him to give him a haircut! She was so patient and nice bless her heart she tried but he just wasnt having it that day! Bethany always cuts my teenagers hair and always does an awesome job! Now Walter, I dont know what it is about Walter Lol but hes the only one who has succeeded in giving my toddler a haircut! He does a great job under pressure with my little boy sitting on my lap, he always is able to calm him down! Poor guy, hes the chosen one to cut my babys hair! My son and I went in together on a Sunday morning. There were only 3 stylists, but we waited about 5 min. My son as alopecia. His hair falls out randomly in chunks and can be very difficult to work with. Not only did she know what it was but worked around it accordingly. Its not easy to work with but she tamed his hair like a pro. I brought in a photo of what I wanted. My stylist asked questions about my haoir amnd gpot straight to work. Its nearly perfect. I only gave a four star because its an inch short-term then I would like. Both ladoies were professional and polite. This level of skill is not something youll find in your average stylist. Kudos to you great clips. I will certainly be returning.
