    These Ladies did their thing!!! The service was good, They provide hair as well, I bought my own refreshments, as I thought I would be there a while, my hair was done in 4 hours‼️‼️‼️‼️ and it didnt hurt like crazy, I took 2 Tylenol before I sat down. Seems like they can pretty much do whatever style you show them! From Ropes, to Micros. I Would Definitely recommend this Shop.

    I called today, and they were able to take me in at the last minute. The quality of their braiding is outstanding. They really listened to what I wanted, and the braiders even made some suggestions as to what would be a good style, and the results were outstanding. Im really pleased with their professionalism. The shop is also well-maintained, clean, and well-lit and modern. Ill definitely be going back to them.

    Everytime I come here everyone is nice to me and the other customers. They go as fast as they can and do their best to give everyone exactly what they want. However people seem to think just because they are paying for a hair style to be done they can talk to the stylists anyway they want and its unacceptable. No one deserves to disrespect anyone just because they want what they want when they want it....shoot Everyone has their own lives to deal with, and everyone has bad days....Be nice damn it aint hard!!!! Thank you ladies for always being kind to me. And Ill always come even when chemo takes my hair!!! And for those of us that have to do chemo or have health problems lets be real, if you are having those treatments u have to tell the stylist and if u speak any French explain it in French instead of waiting.

    Linas is amazing. Lina assisted me as soon as I walked through the door. I had an issue with a hair dresser that cancelled my daughters appointment 3 times and Lina and her staffed welcomed me with open arms and assisted immediately. They took me as soon as I came in as a walk in and was done my daughters hair within 2/3 hours. The staff was courteous and the price was more than reasonable. Thank you guys so much you saved the day!

    I got my hair done today in individuals for my anniversary and for the most part I love them. I asked for medium size but they look smaller than I imagine. Im from GA and this shop was clean the people was very nice and friendly, fast service. Its Easter weekend so they was very busy but the service was fast the customer didnt have to wait over 15min. I will be coming back thanks again. Mrs.Wilson

    Had an appointment to get micros at 8:30 this morning. They started on me around 8:40. I absolutely love love my hair. The ladies were pleasant and the shop is nice. I thank you ladies for doing an excellent job, and thank you Ms. Lina. I will be back to have them redoneGod bless! 🙏🏿💖

    I received Senegalese twists. I have a lot of long, thick and kinky natural hair. It took about 5. 5 hours, which is reasonable. Two women worked on my hair, but the main braider was Marie. She was mostly courteous, but two things annoyed me:1 - I am tender-headed, so when she braided certain tender areas I would shake my leg (its a family habit). She became annoyed and asked me to stop. So, basically, you are asking a client who is paying $200+ to stop doing something that helps them cope with pain.2 - She got annoyed that I wasnt holding my head straight yet the main cause was having two people doing your hair from opposite sides. One is pushing and the other is pushing the other way. Infuriating.This coupled with the cheap office chair that killed my back is why I gave 4 vs 5 stars.The outcome was pretty and neat. I will update if I have any issues after this 1st day.

    I have been going to Lina’s ever since moving to Jacksonville in 2016. I had checked the reviews and was impressed with the amount of positive reviews the establishment received. My first experience visiting the establishment, I happen to be sitting near a woman and she said she had been getting her hair done there for a couple of years and that they do a great job.....I have now found myself a regular customer and would undoubtedly recommend Lina’s African Hair Braiding. I feel Lina and her staff are very accommodating & skilled at what they do. I love my crochet braiding style Lina does for me and the box braids her staff does on my daughter. 👍🏽

    I had a wonderful experience here. I recommend them to any and everyone. I have a very tender scalp and got medium box braids. I have only had box braids one time before and it was not a good experience. But theses ladies did such a great job and was really quick. I love my hair I love the price, I just love the shop.Thank you all for the great work.

    Linas Hair braiding is the number one place to go. No double guessing there, the moment you walk in you’re greeted with a smile. Excellent customer service and the shop is very well kept clean as well as the bathroom. The ladies are very hard working andtheir braiding is absolutely beautiful it’s like they take their time on each and ever braid giving it all the love and detail it needs! You may feel like meh coming into the shop but leaving you’ll feel like Stella and you just got your groove back. You come in with a vision and they will bring it to life better then you could ever imagine! Thank you Lina you made my pregnancy glow even brighter!

    Lina Hair braiding is one of the best hair salons I’ve ever been to! It’s such a friendly environment and the women working there were so kind and patient. I asked for them to do box braids last minute in my hair and they had me in and out in three hours tops! I haven’t gone anywhere else since. Other places rip out my edges and are super tight but they were very gentle and careful. Everyone compliments me when I get my braids done there. If your looking for long lasting results that’ll make an positive impact on your confidence come here!!!

    I was a little hesitant about coming here at first due to the reviews but my personal experience was phenomenal!! Even though I was late, they still got me in and out of the chair in a timely manner. It only took them 4 1/2 hours to complete my micros and I love them!! Price was also reasonable.. I highly recommend Lina and her employees.

    Update: 9/10/2022: FYI...CASH ONLY! It has been a while since Ive had my hair braided, and needed done for travel. My appt. was set for opening time, 8am, it was only a few minutes wait, then I was right in the chair and I was asked what type of braids I wanted, and to confirm, by showing me a picture. Right to work on my head. The braider that worked on me, worked fast and throughout she confirmed with me the length of my braids. She was very meticulous when she cut the fly aways and burning the tips. She did a very good job. I like my braids, and my husband loves them! I mentioned cash only because I didnt realize she changed the policy. I didnt see a sign indicating cash only, so its important that you know that upfront. Lina was welcoming to everyone that came in for their appointment. She even went to the hair shop with a couple of the customers to make sure they purchased the right type of hair. Ive read the reviews, and I do understand some may have not had a great experience, but I cannot complain. My braids are great, my braider was attentive and took her time when it really count, and Lina was pleasant and kind to all customers. I will return for another style. Thank You! God Bless 🙏It was a long day! 10 hours in the chair, but Im done and my hair looks really nice. Im happy! Its been a while since Ive had my hair braided and I came to Linas because it was close to home and I read the reviews and it seemed like this was a good place to go! I can say, this place is different from other shops Ive been to. These ladies are like Energizer Bunnies! They are literally on their feet all day. Moving from one person to the next, helping each other with a customer. They do not conversate with customers, which is okay with me, that allows them to focus on the work at hand. The owner of the shop, Lina, she very nice and just like the other ladies, she stays on her feet! Yes, she moves from person to person too! She does not stand around, watching the others, her hands are moving constantly. I also noticed, whenever someone walks in, they are acknowledged and do not sit in the waiting area for long, they are quick to put a customer in a chair. I would recommend Ms. Lina and I will visit her shop when Im in the mood for braids.

    This business has the nicest group of ladies Ive had services done by in a long time. Very pleasant atmosphere. Lina got me in and out!!!! I was amazed with how long it took to get a full head of rope twist . Im so satisfied with my hair! Great job ladies, I will be back! 😆

    Quality service. First time at this shop and is much better than the first shop I tried. I got micro braids and it did take longer than I thought it would but I do have thick hair and what some call a big head. I was there from 9a to 4 p. Another girl got micros and left an hour before I did. So I would have to say they are speedy and have a nice atmosphere. I do plan on returning for my next style.

    I def recommend this place. I called to schedule an appt and advised Mrs. Lina that I need to be done by 2:45 to get my kids from school. I went in for appt at 8:30, I was in the chair by 8:45. The ladies were really nice and understood I was on a schedule. I got out of the chair at 2:38 and my hair looks amazing. I will def go back to get my hair done again.

    Came in and they begin working on my hair right away. The lady “mama” who did my hair was very detailed with my braids and we had great conversation. Will definitely go back and have a different style done.

    Quality Service! Today I had micros done here and they are beautiful. I was able to get an appointment on the same day, they were fast and very nice. I have very short hair so I was impressed that they were able to work with it. i drove 1.5 hours to get here and I will be back again!

    I had a great visit, the ladies were friendly and worked hard giving me the style I requested. Box braids. The price was low, the braids are perfect. As they were doing my hair two women came in with quite short hair and they were able to take them.

    I would never get my hair done anywhere else in Duval county! One time I had a “at home” braider do my hair and I ended up here in tears asking this salon to fix my hair the next day. These women are professional and sweet and made me feel beautiful again. I have gotten my hair braided here 4 times in almost 10 years at this salon. Every time I’ve gone here the braiders are fast, professional, and so talented . One time I was in a hurry so they had two braiders work on me at the same time!! And my braids have always turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! I have had short hair and long hair, and my hair is naturally curly (mixed girl hair) which can be extremely challenging to braid, but these women are true experts and very talented. My braids have lasted months and I have NEVER had a shred fall out, in fact they last longer than I want to take care of them..haha. The price is reasonable for every style and you bring your own hair and if you run out and there is extra in the shop that matches yours they will hook you up. I always leave my extra for the next lady, it’s like paying it forward, braiding style. :-) The shop has great hours and will stay longer and even work Sundays for emergencies. Unheard of at most salons. These women really care about their clients and treat you like family every time. They are worth so much more than they earn as their braiding is a part of their heritage & culture. I always feel blessed to have a braider share her culture with me. That part is priceless. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else. BOOK HERE TODAY!!! 😍

    Good experience. Book in the mornings first thing so that you dont have to wait to long for a chair. Because walkins were welcome they get busy, especially in Saturdays. But overall Im in love with my kinky passion spring twist.

    I’ve been going to Lina since 2012 . I’ve since moved out of state but always call and make an appointment when I’m coming into town....Many of the braider are military wives and keep up with our hair regulations surprisly so they ensure my hair is the right bulk and length.This is the best braiding shop I’ve been to and I recommend it to all of my friends . When I go to my stylish to get a relaxer and my ends clip she agree that my braider does a great job and contributes to my my natural healthy hair .....With all of that being said Lina’s braiding has been of my hair maintenance for years!!!!
