    Iā€™m very particular about who cuts my hair, and for years I searched for the right stylist who truly understood my needs. Then I met Joey. Heā€™s been styling my hair for over 10 years now, and I can honestly say, every time I leave his chair, I look and feel amazing. My hair always turns out exactly how I want, and the compliments never stop.Whatā€™s even more special is that many of my friends and family, whoā€™ve seen how great my hair looks, have followed me to Joey and now trust him with their hair too. Joey is not just an incredibly talented hairstylistā€”heā€™s a genuinely kind and caring person who takes the time to listen and understand.     Ive been going there for years and love my stylist. I didnt appreciate not hearing anything about the ownership change or the 20% price increase. A mens cut shouldnt be $55 and I may have to find a new place.

    Jess Dow at Aura Salon is fantastic. I love the Aveda products she uses, and the decor and vibe at the Salon as well. I highly recommend her. She is so talented! .

    I love it here. The very first time I ever dyed my hair here it turned out great, I cant remember who did it. The second time I dyed my hair the stylists name was Shaina I think and she also did a very great job! I loved my hair so much! Then for some reason I decided to go to a different salon where I paid $375 for my hair to get absolutely ruined. worst decision of my life. After I got it fixed by the girl who ruined it, i still hated it and decided to come back here to get it fixed because of my great experiences before. Mellissa did a great job! She turned the hair I was extremely embarrassed over, into something that I wanted to show off! She is super nice and is very good at her job. My appointment kinda went over the time they expected so another girl, which I believe her name is Taylor (she had green hair), had washed, dried, and styled my hair. She was super nice and made my visit wonderful as well! I love it here, I dont think ill ever go anywhere else and I recommend it to everyone who asks for a good hair salon! Long story short, I went from tears of sadness from destroyed and ugly hair, to literal tears of happiness thanks to the Aura salon!! Cant wait for my appointment I have coming up! (the pretty hair was done by mellisa, the two others is what I had fixed)

    2 weeks ago, I would have given this place a 1 star. I left, after getting a color, cut and keratin treatment, very unhappy. The color on the top didnt match the bottom and my hair felt stiff. Fast forward to yesterday and Aura made it right. They knew I was unhappy and wanted to make it right. They rescheduled me at my convenience and I walked out with the color I wanted and softer hair! Natasha was fantastic! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you for making it right!

    Mirabella is phenomenal. She has been doing my hair for over a decade now and Iā€™ve never been more comfortable and confident in coming in, knowing she will make me look and feel beautiful. She listens to what I want and gives me feedback on what she thinks will work best for my hair and style. I could not recommend her enough to anyone.

    Got a haircut and style here. Amazing experience, the ladies at the reception desk were very friendly. Natasha, my stylist, was amazing and was able to replicate my haircut from my reference photos 1:1. Over all, would definitely go again. (Forgot the name of the kind lady at the reception desk with the hat on, but she deserves hella props too).

    Joey has been cutting and styling my hair every 8 or 9 weeks for years. And every time, he has shown that he is truly a master at his craft. She is amazing hairstylist no matter the damage she will always come back ad make ur problem disappear with your hair.     Iā€™ve never loved a haircut until this week! I have curly hair and am always a little apprehensive when trying a new salon but Mirabella was FANTASTIC and really took her time through out the whole process. From making sure she and I were on the same page about what I was asking for all the way through styling and sharing tips, I was so impressed by her knowledge and attention to detail. There was a glitch with my appointment, but the salon fixed it immediately and even accommodated my request to come in a little later than scheduled. I canā€™t wait to be back (:

    Iā€™ve only been here twice, but I absolutely love this Salon. Iā€™m always pleasantly greeted as soon as I walk in, and Natasha is absolutely the best hair stylist. She listens and double checks to make sure she understands what Iā€™m asking for and she is such a calming personality. Definitely reccomend, pricing is pretty decent as well, you get what you pay for in all the best ways.

    Jenna does my hair hair at Aura salon, Im not much for small talk but she makes me feel at ease and I always feel more beautiful after I step out of the salon.     Mirabela is the best hair stylist. I wonā€™t go to anyone else. Sheā€™s perfect when it comes to color AND cuts. Sheā€™s taken me from bright blonde to warm brunette and back, and I love the color every time. Her highlighting technique is superb and I feel that my hair color is always blended beautifully. Highly recommend!

He gave me Nutri Plenish shampoo, conditioner and masquetraitant by Aveda for me to try at home . It is a great product. It left my hair smooth and easy to style.     Flora is best hair designer!! Flora cut my hair. She is a very professional designer. I was a little picky with my order, but she made sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it. And also she kept tweaking it until I liked it. I love my new hair so much. I would definitely get my hair done by her again.

    Just came to Aura for the first time for a haircut after trying a few different salons here in Jax, and Iā€™m very pleased with how my hair came out. Iā€™m very particular with my hair, and my stylist Colby did a fantastic job! Definitely pleased with the customer service I received from Colby and Tasha the owner as well.     I had the pleasure of being serviced by Colby today, she was absolutely amazing, extremely welcoming and overall a super genuine stylist. I have had many hairdressers throughout the years but she was by far the best senior stylist I have ever had. She held conversation with me throughout and was very sweet and gentle with my hair and exceeded my expectations. Whenever I am back to the Jacksonville area, I will always make sure to stop by and get my hair cut by her again!

    Nicole is my stylist. Shes very thorough and professional. Ive always left loving my hair. The salon is definitely an enjoyable experience.     This salon is awesome! I moved here from Chicago recently and needed a new stylist. Iā€™m VERY picky about my hair and was scared to find someone as good as my stylist back home. Abigail did a perfect job on my pixie cut! My second appointment was today and there was a mixup with my booking. The owner quickly and graciously took care of me and had the salon manager cut my hair. Again, another great cut! I felt pampered, listened to and educated by both stylists. Iā€™m so happy to find a new salon to call home. Thank you!!

    Iā€™ve been going to Jessica Donmoyer for over a year now. I first went to her after not touching my hair for several years . She has brought life back to my hair! Not only does she do an amazing job with coloring but her knowledge and honesty brings a relaxed experience. I can literally sit down in her chair not knowing what I want and she educates me on what my hair may need or what would work best for my super curly hair.     SHAINA A has been my Daughters hair stylist for about 1/2 a year and is amazing . She had her hair Cut and Styled yesterday . Today at Middle School she had people that never talk to her normally give her so many comments.     Kimberly W is more than just a talented stylist. She makes sure she knows what your ultimate look is and uses her training and expertise to give it to you. Mine was to have long, thick hair I can style multiple ways and this took over a year. She stayed true to my goal, even when I was impatient and asked for layers, she explained why it would have the opposite effect, so I would stay the course. Now Im finally able to keep it longer and feel good wearing it the way I want. That coupled with her Aveda product suggestions, I have the best hair Ive had since I was a teenager! She truly cares about her clients and it shows from starting with a relaxing scalp massage, to choosing her home base at a salon where the products are actually good for you. I live an hour away, but its well worth it to me. Always a great experience at Aura and it shows in the people they hire from the front desk, to the talent in the back! #LoveAveda

    I went in for an appointment with Desiree T. at the town center location. She was absolutely amazing! I was so nervous cutting my hair short but she gave me wonderful advice and helped me pick the perfect hair color! She was friendly and welcoming for the entire 2.5 hour visit!! I will absolutely be coming back to see her!

    Ill start by saying I dont normally write reviews unless I am seriously moved to do so.I visited this town center location recently and honestly wasnt expecting much, as I had not had great results from my last 3 visits to the Southside location. I had pretty much decided not to return, but I found myself in a holiday pinch and figured it would at least be good enough to get me through.Im happy to say that my stylist KAYLA was amazing. She took her time. Patiently she listened to my thoughts, desires, and concerns for the new look.she slowly and carefully took pride in her work and it showed.She is the only reason I will return to Aura.     Iā€™ve had a lot of bad haircuts in the past. So many that I lost faith and trust and my hair was past my butt. I was tired of dealing with so much hair and just wanted it gone. So I sucked it up and assumed I would cut it and hate it as usual.Shaina completely changed my trust issues! Lol my hair is so cute and easy to manage. I went in just to inquire about various products and she went above and beyond to ensure ALL of my questions were answered and made sure I left with all of the samples and even a little freebie!     Liza Aldrich is someone you would spend an entire day driving (8 hours to be exact) just to get your hair done by her. Yes, I did that and will do it again in a heartbeat. Liza is not just a stylist with decades of experience, she is an artist who knows exactly what you want without you having to communicate it. I dont know anything about how to do hair, but I dont have to - I just vaguely tell Liza what Im looking for and she smiles her sweet and knowing smile and works her magic. And Im not exaggerating - her work is truly magic. I have been going to her for 20 years now and have followed her to 4 different salons driving even across the country to get my hair done by her.I initially went to her back in 1998 as a junior in high school in the hopes that she might know what to do with my unruly curly hair. Other stylists had failed miserably, but when I met Liza and explained what I didnt like about my hair, she gave me her knowing look and smiled and went to work. I never had felt so beautiful as when I had left her salon that day. She made my hair look better than I could have ever imagined. I recently drove across the country to have her put highlights in my hair. I told her I wanted it to be brighter, but that I didnt want to have to keep up my highlights (since I couldnt drive across the country every couple months) and Liza worked her magic. She put in the most beautiful highlights that were exactly what I wanted. I remember the first time I had her highlight my hair, I expected I would get the typical blonde highlights that everyone had in the early 2000s, but she knew better. She could have easily done that, but somehow knew that I would appreciate something more unique. Once again, like my first haircut from her, I was beyond happy with my hair. The color was perfect and somehow actually made me look 10 years younger. I could never have communicated or even imagined the result. It was perfect.And really, after this long review, if youre still reading, thats what sums up Liza. She is a woman who has an eye for detail, knows what you want even better than you do, and in the end, she is a true perfectionist. On top of all of that, she is an absolute delight to talk to. I really cannot say enough about Liza Aldrich - it is an honor to have my hair done by her!

    The new location at the Town Center is absolutely beautiful! Jessie (previously at Southside location) has been my stylist for several years and she never disappoints! My hair always looks amazing and I even get compliments when Im due for my next appointment. Jessie truly listens and goes above and beyond expectations! The Aveda experience at Aura is worth checking out!!!

    These stylists are the best in the game. they all shine in unique ways and you really cant go wrong with any of them. they are so professional, but beyond that they are kind, compassionate, and aim to provide the best service possible! i love aura and im sure you will too!     I was in the office a little over a week ago. I found the staff to be very kind and professional. The location was in an area of St Johns Town Center that is easily accessible. What I love most, other than their Aveda products, is the talent of their stylists. I especially find Melissa to be talented and dedicated to continuing to learn all thats new. Its not often that you get a stylist who is called to style during New York Fashion week and have her right here in Jacksonville.

    Best salon experience ever! Mackenzie is sooo knowledgeable and an absolute angel. She breathed new life into my hair and talked to me all about the science behind hair and skin care.     Brittany cut my hair and did a lovely job. I am obsessed with the Aveda products they used on my hair, and if you ask you can have a little sample to try out for a week or two afterwards.Place was very clean and well organized during these COVID times. They do charge a cleaning fee when you are ready to pay, they failed to mention that to me prior to the appointment however.

    I got my haircut done by Alyssa , who was ā€œjuniorā€ stylist , but did a great job. Got a mini version of deep conditioning done which didnā€™t take long for extra 15 bucks . Very satisfied with the service overall.

    I have been going to this salon for a few years and have been seeing Philip for about six years. He has always been wonderful about listening to my needs, and explaining things I have questions about. The salons itself has a welcoming atmosphere that you donā€™t find in other places. Great salon and fantastic stylists.

    I travel from Saint Simons Island, Georgia to get my hair done by Joey. I love this Salon. Everyone is professional. They have done an excellent job keeping everyone safe following strict COVID protocols. I cant imagine going anywhere else and getting the same results.

    Ive never in my life found a hair dresser thats been able to get my hair the color I want it, but Philip did exactly that today!! I have very dark hair, so trying to do a blonde balayage always turns out orangish for me, but Philip got my hair looking blonde and not brassy at all. Hes super talented & Ill definitely be going back to him!!

    First off, its an Aveda salon, so it smells amazing. All of the staff were nice and helpful, and the stylist was able to calm my very haircut-averse guy friend. The cut turned out great, and Ill be returning for my own soon.
